The Glamping Pod has everything you need and it's always spotless. The tea, milk, coffee and delicious homemade cakes on arrival are very welcome. Diane is on hand to explain how the underfloor heating, hot tub etc works and is always available should you need further assistance. Counting down the days until our next visit!

“Truly amazing stay.”

Gorgeous peaceful surroundings, obviously everyone goes for the hot tub which is fed from an underground spring and heated 24 hours a day everything is perfect. You have a complimentary fire pit kit with logs for your first one, I guarantee that once you get into the hot tub with the flames dancing one fire will not be enough. I forgot about work and was so chilled after this break I was horizontal for days. The host is a lovely lady, so hard working and nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend. The shops are a little bit of a distance as you are secluded but it's well worth it no stress. I recommend going to Glasson Dock approx 6 miles away the Dalton Arms does an amazing breakfast and pint of Guinness (we were on holiday) then if your into posh nosh from lobster to wild boar pate pop next door to the port of Lancaster Smokehouse for things to take back to the pod. We will be returning unfortunately my wife won't let me go back next week. This isn't a downside, housemartins like to nest around the outside light above the door, the owner keeps it under control but if you hang a plastic bag around the light in the day it keeps them away and saves your lovely host from scarecrow duty. “We absolutely loved our stay at curlew corner!”

We could not of asked for a better couple of nights! The pod had everything we needed, and the hot tub was amazing! Diane was the best host, and was there for anything that we needed. The location was quiet and perfect, only 45 minutes from the Lake District which was a perfect day out and the brewery had amazing food and drink which was only a 10 minute walk away. We will definitely be returning in the future for another stay!

“Loverly family run pod, amazeing area & local attractions recomended were really good.”

Enjoyed our time at the pod. No faults loved it all. Just 1 issue which made me rate it 4stars instead of 5stars. Would be the comfort. The bed was extreamly uncomfortable it feels like your rolling down a hill also after a few hours of lieing on it. Your bones feel akey/bruised. Too the point hadnt managed any kip whilest at the pod. But other than the bed i would highly recomend the pods :)

“My boyfriend and I visited Curlew Corner for a December weekend get-away.”

We couldn’t have asked for a single thing more. The pod was cosy and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need! We spent most of our time in the gorgeous hot tub, and especially loved the alpacas in the morning. I would also recommend the Farm Yard Brew, lovely little pub about a 15 minute walk from the site. 10/10 recommend and we will definitely be back!

Lodge had everything we needed including robes and slippers for the hot tub. Cosy but still enough space, underfloor heating for when it got a little bit chilly and a decent shower. Had a lovely firepit and BBQ and the owners left us alone unless we needed anything. Wish we could have stayed longer!

There was everything we needed, the owners had thought of everything when designing the interior of the pod. It was spotlessly clean with quality fittings and fixtures. “Fantastic stay.”

Only a one night visit, but would easily accommodate us for a longer stay. Everything you need to base yourself from or cosying up for a film night or two. Diane was a fantastic host and met us at the pod, with an explanation of all the sights local and a bit further (a few locations within easy walking distance to enjoy (local brewery with live music being one). I would definitely recommend this place, and will be looking to come again.

We couldn’t fault it at all. We didn’t need to ask for anything as the host went above and beyond our expectations. The location was very quiet which is what you want for a lodge. The location is in the middle of everything which was good! Half hour from Blackpool & around half hour from Windermere so there was plenty to do through the day & if you didn’t want to go anywhere, the hot tub was perfect for chilling! We will definitely be booking again & we highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a break to book here!

Mill House Farm Pods

Mill House Farm Pods are located on the edge of Morecambe Bay (Ramsar, SAC, SPA, MCZ, EMS and SSSI) in a rural countryside setting close to the Forest of Bowland (AONB) on the outskirts of the village of Cockerham in Lancashire. It is just a short drive from junction 33 on the M6 motorway. Although set in a quiet, rural location, we are centrally situated for day trips to the surrounding countryside and tourist destinations. Within a scenic drive you can be in Blackpool with all it's beaches and attractions, the Lake District for it's stunning scenery or the tranquil Yorkshire Dales. There are also the historic cities of Lancaster and Preston to explore, together with the quaint market towns of Garstang (which proclaims itself as the World's first Fair Trade Town) and Poulton Ie Fylde. Also within easy reach are Lytham-St-Annes, Fleetwood (via the ferry if you wish), Morecambe, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal and Windermere. There are several pubs and restaurants nearby catering for all tastes and budgets; you will also find places to stock up on provisions for a relaxing night in. A leisurely stroll down a country lane will bring you to Farm Yard Brew Co. A brewery with its own unique atmosphere, tap room, entertainment and food. You will also find many stunning places to walk in the area, together with cycling, birdwatching and fishing opportunities. As a working farm, Mill House are heavily committed to Environmental and conservation work and have installed two wind turbines to power the farm and pod site, and to reduce its carbon footprint. LANCASTER

Morecambe 3 miles; Windermere 30 miles; Blackpool 37 miles.

The historic city of Lancaster sits on edge of Morecambe Bay, with the River Lune flowing through its centre. Lancaster retains many excellent examples of handsome Georgian architecture, and with its captivating medieval castle, Ashton Memorial, and four museums, it’s an interesting place for those in search of history and tales of the past. Among the many amenities, there are two venues for live performances, the Lancaster Grand Theatre and the Dukes, as well as open-air concerts held frequently in the pretty Williamson Park during the summer season. The Forest of Bowland and The Arnside & Silverdale Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty provide visitors with lots of opportunities to take in the flora and fauna of the area, with wonderful walking and cycling ways to enjoy. There are also good road and rail links into Cumbria and beyond, meaning Lancaster is a wonderful base for also exploring the Lake District.
