Park Brook Dell

Second visit here but we hit the June heatwave , even the hot tub was hot and not in the shade.

We had a very quiet, relaxing week here, it was nice to talk to Andrew, who is a very friendly person. We saw several deer, heron, owls and too many grey squirrels, who haunted the windows. Would recommend Stepping Stones pub for good food, just up A6. Hope to be back again.

Beautiful place to stay all amenities were available, secluded for a romantic break and spacious for a day doing nothing, lovely owners and beautiful land

If you want to relax and rest this is just the place to do it.

It is quiet and peacful. The local wildlife is fun to watch.There is no one to bother you. The owner is available if anything goes wrong.

Beautiful place to stay, great location for the Lake District, and Lancaster.

Would happily stay here again. We gave 4 stars because of the following. The place would really benefit from the following. Outdoor fire pit. 2 outdoor reclining chairs for sun bathing. Small hoover for indoors. Andrew the owner was ok to speak to, but not very welcoming on the phone, could of come across a little better with his guests.

Spotlessly clean & immaculately maintained, beautifully quiet and surrounded by nature & wildlife.

We were undisturbed for the whole week but the owners were at the end of the phone should there have been a need. LOVED it! R&P May 2026.

THIS IS OUR SECOND TIME HERE.

IT WAS AS GOOD AS THE FIRST TIME, VERY CLEAN, WELL EQUIPPED IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING. POSITIONED IN A WOODLAND AREA, WE HAD PEACE AND QUIT, LOTS OF WILDLIFE AROUND, SQUIRRELS COME TO THE DOOR TO BE FED, DEER, HARES, PHEASANTS AND GROUSE WALKING AROUND. FANTASTIC HOT TUB. THE VILLAGE AND SURROUNDING AREA IS WELL COVERED FOR PUBS AND EATING PLACES. ALSO A GOOD SPOT TO BASE YOURSELVES TO EXPLORE LANCASHIRE AND CUMBRIA. REALLY GOOD VALUE, CAN'T RECOMMEND ENOUGH. THE OWNER IS VERY FRIENDLY. THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL BREAK, WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.

Enjoyed our stay.

The dell is beautiful and quiet with thought being given to each cabins privacy. The hot tub felt well looked after. The bed was very comfortable. Some things we noted, the smart TV has tinny sound and a defect on the screen and cleaning of the kitchen and dusting needed a bit more attention. All in all we had a great holiday, this is a great location for walks in the Forest of Bowland.

Another peaceful stay at Park Brook Dell to relax and unwind, great place to watch all the wildlife, read and generally switch off from the fast pace of everyday life.

Fantastic property.

Very remote in the countryside, a short distance to a village. Saw deer and had squirrels come up to door for feeding. Perfect retreat, will definitely be back in the future.

An ideal place for a peaceful relaxing holiday With visits from a heron.

.5 deer a tame pheasant and squirrels...the hot tub was a bonus and Andrew was very helpful checking the hot tub readout, first visit hear but will be back next year

On arriving at the property, I was initially disappointed( it was a surprise for my partner she had no idea where she was going), as it didn't look like the picture on the website, even the little name plate (the Dell) was missing.

However once inside, we were both very happy with the layout and cleanliness. We had a very pleasant and relaxing week, the hot tub was brilliant to relax and destress in each evening, and the area was so tranquil. It was also a great base for getting out and about,20mins to Lancaster, 40mins to Blackpool and Lytham St Anne's etc. Overall a very good week getting away from it all

we had a wonderful peaceful relaxing week in the Dell ,if you want to enjoy the wildlife then this is the place to come we hand fed squirrels and pheasants and were treated to seeing a deer and two fawns grazing and a barn owl hunting in the woods.

It is a short walk to the Applestore cafe and from there you can walk to the famous Nicky Nook.The cabin had all you needed for a self catering holiday the bed was very comfortable ,and the hot tub was amazing

Had an amazing 3 day break celebrating my husband’s birthday.

Beautiful location shared every morning with wildlife. Used the hot tub a few times — perfect! Very friendly host who we met once to purchase extra fire logs. Only downfall was we were unable to use the oven as gas man was expected (never arrived during our visit) would definitely return

Very comfortable clean holiday cottage.

Private and quiet. Warm and amply stocked only down side was no pub in village but not owners fault . Would rent again

Second visit to Park Brook.

We love it there the sense of peace is great. It is surrounded by trees and grass. You are only just aware of the other cabin. When we had a problem it was sorted out immediately. There are lovely walks and villages around.

Lovely setting secluded location peaceful and the lodge is very well equipped and well maintained.

We enjoyed the hot tub after a long walk. would recommend staying again in the future. Thank you

Lovely clean ,comfortable,peaceful holiday let.

Perfect place to relax and unwind. We didnt have the best week weather wise so enjoyed the many visits from the resident squirrels,Pheasants, oyster catchers,hare and dear. Hot tub was perfect after days out visiting the lake district and the coast. Would definitely make a return visit when considering the area for another holiday.

An excellent place to stay to relax and unwind.

Andy popped over every other day to check the hot tub and that everything was ok. Daily visits from pheasants and cheeky squirrels was great although had to be careful opening the doors as the squirrels wanted to come in. Last couple of days was spoilt by the weather but would still highly recommend Thanks for a lovely stay Martin & Jo

The property is in a great location squirrels comming to the doors pheasants rabbits we couldn't fault the lodge where it is or anything else about it hopefully we will be back again thanks to the owners Andrew and partner.thanks again Chris gill Golding.

We had an amazing time at the Dell the lodge was superb so cosy and warm with beautiful views across the countryside We adored all the wildlife that came to our lodge even got to hand feed a female pheasant, we saw Deer pheasants hares squirrels numerous birds even a red spotted woodpecker and a stoat in the brook alongside our lodge.

There's 2 lodges on site but both are extremely private which was lovely .Lots of places to go to all within a short driving distance the barn in the village does great breakfasts and omg the cakes are amazing Would I go back here ? Absolutely in a heart beat it was amazing

Very peaceful place to stay, the wildlife was great, its about a 40 minute walk into Scorton and would very highly recommend The Barn for food and a drink.

Great base for exploring the Forest of Bowland. Would definitely recommend, and will be booking again.

I loved my stay here, myself and my girlfriend couldn’t have had a nicer week away, the perfect getaway, the wildlife there is amazing, I’m going to miss feeding the squirrels monkey nuts every morning, and seing all the pheasants.

The hot tub was lovely. The host was also very kind when needing logs brought them up straight away, 10/10 week away, I will defo be booking again

Such a relaxing place couldn’t find a thing to complain about.

We loved our stay at Park Brook Dell.

There’s a few cheeky squirrels that let you know they’d like feeding, lots of pheasants that come right up to the lodge, plenty of different birds will come if you put food down for them. We were even lucky enough to see a deer one morning. It’s so peaceful with stunning surroundings, the lodge is equipped with everything you need. Plenty of nice walks near by too and places to eat out if you choose. Take plenty of bird nuts and seed and the wildlife will be right outside your door. Highly recommended, we will definitely be retuning.

Fantastic holiday just as advertised will be recommending to family and friends.

This was our 2nd visit in as little as 6 weeks as we absolutely loved it for the wildlife and the hot tub.

There’s a cheeky little squirrel who peers through the patio doors every morning asking for his breakfast which really makes my day, a few more usually join him. On the first morning we saw a deer right outside the bedroom window and saw 3 altogether along with over a dozen pheasants, numerous birds Inc blue tits, great tits and a robin, it’s so relaxing with the stream running by the side of the hot tub. We’ve already booked in to go again while we were still there, I’d definitely recommend it if you want a relaxing holiday as it’s surrounded by trees and grass and close by to a little village that has some fantastic eateries and not far to commute to other places, we love it

Could do with checking the finer details ie cobwebs on ceilings and dust etc under sofa, pencil marks on ceiling and screw holes need repainting.

In a pleasant location and nice and peaceful. Welcome basket of a few items would also be a nice touch . Overall a nice place but could do easily be better for the money.

Lovely location with the calm sound of the brook.

Well equipped, comfortable chalet - the wood burner made for a nice atmosphere too. The hot tub was great once we had evicted a couple of bugs. We would definitely stay here again.

The property was beautifully clean with all we could wish for. Comfy bed, lovely shower, and the hot tub was the icing on the cake, we were in there every night without fail. We felt very secluded and private with only the bids, pheasants and squirrels visiting. . If we could make one suggestion it would be for a couple of sun lounger/beds along lovely outdoor area, but that is a tiny tiny thing. We had such a nice time we are booking up again

Second time in this cottage, great place to relax in a quiet location, expect to see plenty of wildlife visiting/passing by, take a book, enjoy the hot tub it's a place to switch off and recharge.

The chalet is lovely and in a perfect location.

We enjoyed the hot tub and local wildlife visiting the patio. It's a great place as a base for walking. We will be returning and highly recommend it.

Warm & comfortable, had everything we needed.

Stayed for Christmas week & had a really lovely relaxing time. Hot tub is one of the best we have used really lovely & hot, watching the wildlife from the hot tub was amazing. Lots of good places to walk. The barn in Scorton does a really delicious hot chocolate. definitely be booking again.

The property itself was spotless.

Comfy bed. Peaceful setting. Fantastic hot tub. However, I did feel as though the utensils could of done with a bit of a clean. Some of the cooking pots looked as though they had just been put back in the drawer, such a shame.

The property is in a wonderful location and very relaxing and comfortable.

More information about the area would have been helpful.

We had a fantastic week at Park Brook Dell.

The property is lovely, very private in a beautiful location. It was very clean & the furniture was modern & comfortable. The hot tub was great & definitely a big selling point. It is so peaceful so plenty of wildlife. We were visited daily by squirrels & pheasants who come right up to the door. There was also a deer & hare as well as lots of birds, blue tits, oyster catchers, owls. We were very fortunate the other lodge wasn't booked so had the entire place to ourselves. We would definitely return.

Park Brook Dell had everything we wanted and more.

The lodge itself was clean, cosy and well equipped. The location was fantastic, perfect to get away from everything. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely return!

Absolutely amazing.

Relaxing and peaceful. Visited by squrriels , pheasants, herons and robins daily. Very private. Hot tub was fabulous under the stars with no one to disturb you or complain. Bed was really comfortable. Fab idea not to have television in the bedroom. Also situated close to lovely little village with a lovely restaurant and shop. Everyone was so friendly. Will be back next year.

Absolutely amazing relaxing holiday how ever at night I found the darkness to be slightly off putting of going outside at night I think the adding of fairy lights around the property may brighten up the place but over all amazing I will come back

This is a great little ‘bolthole’ there is plenty of local walking with the Village of Scorton not very far away.

Lovely place to stay if you like quiet surroundings with lots of wildlife.

Nice hot tub especially with only two people sharing. Comfortable, clean and with modern facilities. Good cafe's and pubs within walking distance. We will definitely be booking again.

This property and it's sister , the Retreat, are absolutely brilliant.

Well designed equipped and laid out. The owner is pleasant and knowledgeable, there when needed but not obtrusive. The wildlife available to view is amazing - though there was less variety than on our last stop in May

We loved our stay at Park Brook Dell, the property was in an ideal location, close to many beautiful local walks and within easy reach of the lake district.

We especially enjoyed being able to relax in the hot tub or in front of the fire after a strenuous day! The property was clean and well equipped, and the owners were very helpful. We would recommend Park Brook Dell to anyone.

We had a fantastic week at the cottage, really easy to get to from the motorway, plenty of peace and quiet but just a 40 min drive into Blackpool as well.

We saw a few deer, some pheasants and several squirrels (the pheasants and squirrels are a fan of bird feed peanuts!). Hot tub was fantastic, especially after walking along Blackpool promenade during the day. The cottage had everything you would need, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you want to get away from the usual and relax for a while.

Great facilties.

All what we wanted. Good location to explore the west coast and the lake district. A family of wild fowel lives in the grass wild area between the cottage and the stream, adding a touch of the wild. The hot tub is wonderful. Great holiday all round.

This has been the most relaxing break we've ever had!

Plenty of local walks and lovely places to eat in the local village. Lots of wildlife to see and the jacuzzi is an added bonus

The log cabin was fantastic spacious and modern, we had a lovely relaxing and chilling time the hot tub was amazing.

We spotted lots of lovely wildlife, loved the pheasants, ducks & rabbits...we had a great time relaxing in the hot tub, we went into scornton villiage for amenities, we visited the Lake district for our go ape adventure & we visited Lancaster city lots of shops and nice places to eat :)

the lodge was very nice and comfortable ,and directions great,the owner was always on handand very very helpfull, a very idylic place with lots of wildlife ,we would certainly book again.

Park Brook Dell is in a superb location.

It is quiet and peaceful and met all our expectations. It is surrounded by countryside where the is loads of picturess walks along the river Wyre and the village of Scorton. The Dell is also ideally located to visit the surrounding areas of Lancaster, Morecombe, Thorton Cleverly and Garstang. The Dell itself is clean wellmaintained and has everything you need .It has excellent facilities including a private hot tub which makes your stay relaxing and comfortable.

Cottage is VERY clean and has so many added extras.

Cottage was really lovely.

Very clean and spacious. The owner lives nearby and was very welcoming but respected our privacy also. Cottage sits on private land so although remote this really helped us unwind and switch off for a few days. Local shops, eateries, pubs etc are only a couple of miles away and the area is central for lovely walks, visiting nearby lakes and towns. Will definitely be back! Thanks for a great break.
