The accommodation was almost perfect .

I stayed in other a caravan before and so far this was the best. The only downside was the WiFi and TV. It was slow and the TV coverage

43 Pony Meadows - Luxury!

We had a great stay at this lodge - very comfortable with good quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. Lovely decking area with a great partial view of the lake. Lovely peaceful setting on White Cross bay park and less than 5 mins walk to the lake. We had everything we needed and a lot more besides. The only thing we could have done with was a parasol on the decking as it gets afternoon and evening sun with no shade - other than that we had a perfect stay. .

we often vacated as a big family and that was why we opted for 2bed apartment but the facilities are no where up to standard to make it a home away from home.

We were welcomed with a bad smell when we entered that house. We had to spray our perfumes everywhere before we later got air fresheners in Aldi later that day. We later discovered that the diffusers in the house are all dried up. No single air fresheners in the entire house. No xtra beddings as one is expected to use same beddings through out your stay( it was a lot of hassle as I had a baby and a toddler who could easily stain beddings.we called to get extra beddings but no one brought any throughout our stay. No dish washing liquid, we struggled through the first night as no dish liquid available to wash up and not to mention that Aldi and other places are far away from the house. We had to buy tissues as no tissues was also left in the house. Not to mention 3tiny pots that was made available in the house. In summary, the only nice thing about the house is the en-suite bathroom and toilet. I won’t recommend it for a family. It’s ideal for a single person or a husband and wife without kids. As I struggled to bath my kids in the bathroom cos it was very tiny The owner needs to do better in making sure the home is worth the money paid. Didn’t enjoy my stay in the house.

This was our second stay at Pony Meadows.

Yet again fantastic accommodation, everything you could want and more! Spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable after a days fell walk and tarn swims. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need! Amazing sleep in an extremely comfortable bed. The added thought of washing tablets, cleaning products, hand wash, tea towels and bathing towels makes packing easier too. We will look forward to our next stay hopefully in July. Thank you once again. Great price too compared to similar accommodation.

Overall the accommodation was lovely.

Just a couple of things : the curtains in each bedroom need attention. I don’t know if there’s ever been a leak but the bottom of the curtains are stained quite badly, especially in the double bed room. They have black on them which may be mould. Also, they warn that they have no control over the WIFI but we couldn’t even pick up the WiFi link that they state.

High end luxury. Spotlessly clean, couldn’t fault it at all. And after a long day on the fells, the king sized bed was extremely comfortable. Fantastic spot right next to the lake too We will definitely be back. Thank you.

This is the third time we have stayed in 43 pony meadow this year.

Its in a nice position, the accommodation is comfy, fully equipped and was very clean on arrival. Wi fi isn't great but didn't bother us.

We arrived early 1345 and parked up.

realised it had not been cleaned so went for a walk. We knew that the time for entrance was 1500. We got back at 1455 and still not cleaned. Rang the number we were given twice and got answer phone. tried to ring Sykes but great difficulty finding a number. Went to Parkdean reception and they were very helpful. Found a number for Sykes but held for several minutes. So tried sales number for Sykes and got an answer. Put through to Stuart who tried housekeeping and eventually got a reply. House keeping said would be there in 10 minutes. Turned up and told us she had forgot to clean caravan and proceeded to clean it. Then two men turned up to check WiFi. In the meantime all our stuff including food was outside. Had to ask them to leave as we were getting sick of waiting around for almost two hours. Then found out that only half a toilet roll left in one toilet and none in the other. By that time it was about 1730. Then put stuff away and found that WiFi does not work at all. The two men never told us what they were doing other than checking WiFi which they completed. Friday was wasted.

Easy to book, ideal location for visiting other places - Ambleside, Keswick, Kendal, Cockermouth.

Had the best sunny week only rained (torrential) on first day. Very clean van and site, very comfortable, well equipped. Only downside was maybe an upgrade on mattrasses as lumpy, but otherwise would book again

This is the second time we have stayed at 43 pony meadow and hope it won't be the last , it was just a nice as the first time, its kept clean and the furnishing are kept to a high standard, its everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

It was modern, clean and had everything we needed for the holiday. It was in a nice position on the site, ive stayed in many lodges/caravans in my life and this one by far has been the best, didn't want to come home, but hopefully will be back soon

Our caravan had not been cleaned it still had dirty bedding on bins full of rubbish it was very upsetting I had booked for my husbands birthday, the parking bay was like one big ashtray.

a lady came out at 8 -30 pm and changed bedding and removed rubbish including 15 empty bottles .she returned next day and hoover and mopped .however van should of had thorough clean ,never experienced this with sykes before even the nets at door are filthy , beautiful caravan .just not what I would expect we have stayed in other sykes properties and cleanliness was exceptional

We had a lovely few days at this holiday lodge which was really nice and well presented.

A couple of things I have to give feedback on which can be rectified to make this perfect:- The TV did not work on arrival which was left to us to sort out with site staff, which was sorted fairly quickly. Secondly the shower head in the master bedroom ensuite was broken and therefore we could not use the shower, the other shower head was useable but not brilliant and lastly I had reason to go under the suite for the dogs ball and it had not been cleaned for a while, all of these things can be sorted after which this will be a perfect lodge for a lakeside retreat with all the amenities you could ask for both in the lodge and on the site. We will use again without hesitation, thank you.

We had an amazing 7 nights at this lodge, the lodge is sparkling clean very homely and comfortable it had everything anyone would need for a stay.

The site is also lovely just a couple of minutes walk to the lake which has beautiful views. The bar, restaurant and shop on site were also great we love how our little dog was welcome everywhere on site…we will definitely be booking again.

Lovely caravan, easily accessible for us by bus and car.

We liked the separate bathrooms for teens and adults. Caravan was well equipt. We enjoyed using the facilities up at the clubhouse and booked a swimming party session and another activity from reception who were very helpful. WiFi worked smoothly, using the information on the black box in the caravan.

A very comfortable lodge, not spotlessly clean as we found tooth pics and sweet packets behind the bedside cabinet in the twin room and the dog managed to hunt out a pair of soiled boys boxer shorts that I presume had been hidden behind the toilet to save his embarrassment, the cleaning isn't down to the owner but I'd be having serious conversations with the company that aren't fulfilling their duties.

A welcome pack as many have mentioned is none existent, some instructions for the electrical items but none for the boiler, a bit of online research and it was solved. Wifi isn't currently available although it was meant to be installed whilst we was staying. Mobile data was just ok. Airfryer is a handy touch along with the coffee machine. Washer dryer came in very handy along with the dishwasher, a few tablets and washing up liquid and cloths were left . The Vacumm is OK for its duties as long as you ensure it's emptied and the filter isn't clogged. There isn't a view from the lodge itself unless you're lucky enough to make use of the wrap around decking which is dangerously slippy when icy, as is the park as a whole . The park flooded in places last weekend and there isn't a dog waste bin anywhere on your walk around also take a torch as the park isn't lit at all and you don't appreciate how dark it is . The park issues aren't anything to do with the owner . There is a little site shop that sells essentials along with a restaurant and club house . The area is outstanding . The Lodge is very comfortable with plenty of towels and throws and is only 1 row back from the lake itself , board games and 3 tv's, the owner Vicky is available to contact and is very accommodating. Will definitely be returning

The lodge was lovely wanted for nothing the beds was very comfortable one of the best lodges we have been in credit to the owner

Great clean lodge with all the amenities that you need, only issue was the internet as this was virtually non existent until you got near the reception area.

This affected the smart tv in the lounge although the tvs in the bedrooms were fine. Overall highly recommend if you’ve not got 2 teenagers with you.

This is a beautiful lodge, modern and clean, in a fantastic location on the park.

It is really cosy, tastefully decorated and we appreciated the size of the sofas and master bed! A couple of small issues but nothing that would prevent us from staying here again, it really was lovely. Park Wi-Fi was an absolute no-go so make sure you have your own data if you are relying on needing Wi-Fi access and maybe a new hoover as we couldn’t get it to work for more than 2 mins and we do like to clean up after ourselves! Would definitely recommend the property to others and would return here again.

Lovely clean lodge.

Used as a base to explore the area. A welcome pack on what is around, emergency contact details would be useful. However there was a drawer of leaflets which we found by chance. The sharp knives had been put away wet and had rust marks on but were fine once scrubbed. It was nice to have a few dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid supplied. Just a few more wooden spoons for cooking would be useful. Very quiet place too. Thank you.

Caravan was exactlý as photos, spotless, home from home, couldn't fault at all.

Accomodation was very modern and had all common amenities.

However, the only WiFi available was provided by the park and was very hit and miss depending on the weather, which meant that we couldn't use the Freeview or Netflix etc in the evenings. I think we may have been willing to pay a bit more if the lodge had its own wifi. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. As soon as we arrived, our dog was fascinated by the underneath of the sofa, and when we looked, there was a tennis ball left by the previous guests, as well as quite a bit of dust and crumbs. Under the sofa cushions were covered with hair, paper, crumbs and general dust. The blinds in the kitchen had a thick layer of dust and grease and the hob was also greasy. One of the handles on the window in the twin room wouldn't release so we couldn't open that window. Bathrooms were very nice, but small and hard to manoeuvre in and the showers are very small. Weather didn't allow us to use the veranda but we did notice cigarette ends on the stones along the length of the lodge. A welcome book would be a nice addition to the accommodation, with some local information/places of interest/location of nearest supermarkets etc. as well as some information about the lodge and how to work the heating. We did find some user manuals for the appliances hidden in a drawer but they were quite difficult to read. It was a lovely location but a bit disappointed by the points above. The kitchen rubbish bin was a little small for three people.

The property was modern and had everything we needed for an excellent holiday at the Lakes.

It is very close to Windermere and easy access to town for groceries if you're on a budget. The property seemed well maintained and the only issue we had was the twin room window didn't open leaving it a bit warm. Cleanliness on the whole was good with the understanding the cleaners have a limited window to operate. Under the cushions and sofa were in need of a clean and a few dirty dishes hidden away in cabinets by prior tenants are the only complaint but this was a quick fix with the dishwasher and vacuum available. Thank you for the peaceful stay!

We had looked at a couple of properties on this site and opted for 43 Pony Meadow and so glad that we did.

It's quite a spacious place and it is in a lovely position. Quite close to the Marina. The sight itself was also lovely too and in very close proximity to where the Great North Swim was being held in which I was taking part on Friday 7th June (My Birthday) The only real downside was that there was no food availability on site after 9pm, (which isn't the fault of Sykes cottages) as after Swimming 2 miles in the Great North Swim in Windermere, neither myself nor any of my supporters were up to cooking that evening. I would consider 43 Pony Meadow again if I'm ever in the area with family/friends in the future. Thank You

Enjoyed our stay at 43 pony meadow ,the only issues were the fact that the was no wi fi, I did ask at the site reception but was told because the accommodation wasn’t booked through park dean.

I would have to contact Sykes, which I did, they contacted the owner who informed them to inform me to try resetting the router of which I did, but it made no difference there was still no wi fi signal. I have photos taken of the no connection of wi fi taken over several days.The others issue was the vacuum cleaner,I like to look after other people’s property and it was impossible with the vacuum in the property.

Couldn’t ask for more, everything we needed was there and everything was easy from booking to the end of our stay, would 100% book this again in the future

Enjoyed a lovely week at 43 Pony Meadow.

Lovely modern lodge, great location, well equiped, beds comfortable. However, on arrival, there wasn't any bedding on the super king bed, just the quilt and a blanket in a heap in the middle of the bed. Telephoned the the owner twice, who advised she would get it sorted. 45 minutes later a young man appeared with some bedding and handed it to me (no offer to actually make the bed though. Good job I had my daughter and son in law with me to do it, as I'm disabled and wouldn't have been able to manage). We are regular visitors to the Lakes. However, as not all people know their way around, a welcome book would be a nice addition to the accommodation, with some local information/places of interest/location of nearest supermarkets etc. We have always had one at the many previous Sykes properties we have stayed at, and find them an invaluable tool. WiFi non-existent. The lodge was super clean, however, a bit of attention from the cleaners is required under the couch on a regular basis. Our dogs ball rolled under there, and when retrieving it, my son in law found large clumps of dust, a crushed alcohol can, and chips.

43 Pony Meadow is a beautiful lodge.

Good location on white cross bay, near to the lake. Decor is beautiful and lodge amenities are good. The WiFi for the lodge is the Park Dean site wifi which is terrible/non-existant so if you have teens who live for connection then I’d have to say ensure you book a lodge here that provides its own wifi and not the one provided by Park Dean. The water pressure was also a little low at times, again a site issue I think. The lodge itself is really beautiful. Beds are extremely comfortable. Sofa very comfortable and cosy with the fire burner. We enjoyed our stay.

The lodge was stunning decorated to a very high standard we loved everything about it !

! It had all the facilities and more we really enjoyed staying here and will be back soon My only issue was the wifi the park dean wifi wasn’t strong enough so would suggest maybe a router of some sort privately thanks

Absolutely lovely lodge with lovely furnishings.

Very comfortable to stay in. Beds are comfortable the only downside was beds were not made up on arrival and the duvets were not folded neatly on the bed just thrown on the bed in a heap which I would at least expect. We did not have enough bedding when we arrived trying to get hold of someone was not easy. My signal was awful in the area and did notice when I got home I did have a voicemail from them but was too late as I had to go out and buy some bedding for my daughter to use.

Absolutely beautiful, we loved our stay at 43 Pony Meadow.

It’s in a great spot and we really liked White Cross Bay Holiday Park. The lodge was well equipped but there was no hairdryer, this meant I had to sit in front of the fire to dry my hair! Please could you consider adding a hairdryer? There was also no accommodation guide so we had to work out everything for ourselves, which was relatively easy, but it would have been nice to have it all there to read. Some feedback for Whitecross Bay, it would be great to install some sensor lights along the paths for night time, it was difficult walking back in the dark with my elderly disabled Mum.

It needs more lighting around the campsite and just in general on the front of the lodge of 43 Pony Meadow as at night, it was pitch black.

This cabin was brilliant way over our expectations so comfy everything was great would not hesitate to recommend this to everyone

The caravan was (new) great with many thoughtful features.

Nice touch providing games for kids to play with. Shame there was no view to speak of, was initially, a bit awkward to find.
