Bowness 66

We had a fantastic stay at Bowness 66 and couldn’t have asked for more.

It was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and extremely well catered for, with everything we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. The owners were incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful throughout, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and would happily return in the future. A wonderful stay from start to finish! This is the second time we have stayed here and we are already looking at booking our next visit :) Thanks again Marolyn & Nick!

An absolutely beautiful lodge!

The owners have thought of everything...cleaning supplies, tea coffee sugar, a very well equiped kitchen and dog bowls and throws. Our stay was perfect, a chance to relax and de-stress in a clean, comfortable and very well equipped lodge...home from home The shower in the ensuite is fabulous! We were very lucky and had gorgeous weather during our stay

Absolutely fantastic stay at this lodge.

Home from home, everything needed for your stay. There isn’t many places as organised as this lodge. Internet works superb which is a bonus at the Lake District. ;) The owners are very friends and a great help, they are there to reply as soon as you message them and nothing is a bother. Will defo return to this lodge in the future, had a fantastic time. Very relaxing. Thanks again!

A lovely base for a Lakes holiday.

Accommodation spotlessly clean, beautifully kitted out. Great beds, fluffy towels, warm, comfortable and a kitchen equipped better than my own! Thoughtful things you don’t always see in self catering places, loo rolls & dishwasher tablets, hand soap. We would definitely recommend and the owners were very keen to ensure our stay was enjoyable.

! anyone who complains about this accommodation are just plain lying, clean absolutely, everything you need ( not food or booze), value for money, Host was very intentive, we would stay again and would recommend. Fifty steps from lake Windermere. Thank you.

I stayed at the Lodge with my little dog Henry.

The lodge was very comfortable and everything you could need was provided . The owners were very helpful and quick to respond and resolve when I had a couple of issues. The weather was atrocious — thank goodness I took my wellies ! Henry enjoyed walking in the Wood on the park.

The Lodge is absolutely beautiful, It has everything you need and more.

My family and I had a wonderful time. The owners were exceptional they sent a couple of emails during our holiday to ensure everything was to our satisfaction.

Lovely week spent at Bowness 66.

The lodge was very well equipped & spotlessly clean. the owners sent us detailed information about the site & surrounding area prior to arriving, which we found very useful. overhaul a good week was had by all.

The owners were exceptional and dropped us a couple of emails just to check how we were getting on.

The lodge is beautiful and very homely. The place was well thought out, and the kitchen was very well equipped. Lodge was in a quiet location on the site only a few steps from the marina. Would thrououghly recommend and we fully intend to return. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

We’ve just spent a lovely week with my parents at this fantastic lodge :) We’ve stayed at many lodges over the years and this was without a doubt our favourite.

The furnishings are lovely and the attention to detail by the owners are exceptional. It’s very well laid out and catered for our every need. The owners are very responsive and I’d not hesitate to recommend this lodge to other people, in fact I already have. I just hope it’s available again when we’d like to return!

It is a lovely lodge and well situated within the park and within the district. Easy access to many places. The owners were in contact with us without being intrusive and took on board our feedback on a couple of things.

Really lovely lodge.

Well situated within the park, literally just a few seconds walk from the lake edge. The lodge was furnished to a high standard, well equipped and very clean. Great communication from the owners too. We can be a bit fussy and difficult to please but absolutely no complaints here and would definitely recommmend! Perfect for our young family.

Perfect stay.

Everything you could possibly need, even the weather was good for us. The dogs loved the lodge, in a quiet position on the site and close to the lake. This was our third visit this year, which says it all.

Nicely finished and all in a great location just moments from the edge of Lake Windermere. Best feedback of all from our 3 year-old, who asked upon leaving when she was coming back…

2nd time been here 2019 & 2024 just the same high standard place in both years this place is a credit to the owners and the place to stay is beautiful and peace full quite and calm setting would highly recommend and will be going again sometime

We have stayed at a number of properties on White Cross over the years and Bowness 66 beats them all.

Clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked with glasses, cutlery, cleaning fluids etc. everything you could wish for from a home from home. Will definitely be back. One minor drawback, but all properties seem to have one these days - a ‘Henry’ - my pet hate. Takes twice as long as a conventional vacuum.

All in all this lodge is like home from home it has everything one could possibly won’t, it is situated in a nice location only a minute’s walk to the lake.

Looking forward to staying again.

66 Bowness is a beautiful lodge.

We have stayed on white cross bay for 26 years and this lodge is the nicest one we have stayed in. We all felt relaxed and at home and had the most amazing weekend. We will be staying again in the future

Very nice lodge, well equipped and comfortable with lots of nice touches from the owners. Great location on the park close to the lake and facilities. We will definitely be back!!
