    “No smart tv not connected to the wifi, the outside disgusting dead leaves everywhere not even a brush to sweep up ourselves,the couches were very uncomfortable and dated.”

    Needs a makeover inside and out . To be listed as a 5 berth is ridicules. Yes 5 beds but you wouldnt sit 5 people on a night overal disappointed. The site itself was very nice.

Lord Landless is a comfortable three-bedroom lodge located in the convenient White Cross Bay Holiday Park on the outskirts of Windermere, Cumbria.

Lord Landless is a great option for a family or group of five people with pets thanks to its convenient location within the Lake District National Park and its wealth of on-site amenities, such as the heated indoor pool, the multi-sports court, the sauna and steam room, the convenience store, and a laundrette. The home also has its own private decked area with furnishings and a luxury bubbling hot tub, perfect for long soaks beneath the stars and enjoying the peace and quiet of the surrounding nature.

Inside, you'll find an inviting open-plan living space with kitchen, perfect for whipping up home-cooked meals to enjoy with a glass of wine at the dining table before settling down on the comfy sofas in front of the electric fire as your favourite film plays out on the Smart TV.

Continue through to find a well-appointed shower room and three tastefully decorated bedrooms, a double, a 2’6 twin and a single, ideal for catching up on your rest.

If you can pull yourself away, visit Windermere, where you can engage in a wide variety of watersports on the lake, learn about the area's history at the Windermere Jetty Museum, discover the wonders of The Word of Beatrix Potter Attraction, take in the scenery from atop Queen Adelaide's Hill, and dine on delicious seafood at Hooked or authentic Italian at San Pietro.

Visit the Ambleside Roman Fort, the picturesque Stock Ghyll Force, and the Armitt Library and Museum Centre in Ambleside; then head to Rydal to explore the breath-taking surroundings of Rydal Cave and the Rydal Mount and Gardens.

Travel a bit further to Kendal, where you can see Kendal Castle, the Quaker Tapestry Museum, a fantastic golf course, and the Kendal Museum.

White Cross Bay holiday park nestles on the shores of Lake Windermere, midway between Windermere and Ambleside, in the Lake District National Park. Consisting of many lodges, it offers a restaurant, pub, shop, entertainment room, amusement arcade, indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, gym, children's staffed activity centre, marina and outdoor play areas. Lake Windermere, the largest and most popular in the area, boasts a wide range of lakeside activities from walking and cycling to rowing, horse riding, taking a trip on the steam railway, plus lake cruises from Bowness to the pretty village of Ambleside and down to Lakeside, which has a celebrated aquarium. Children will also enjoy The World of Beatrix Potter in Bowness-on-Windermere, where technology brings her characters to life, and Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its Treetop Trek aerial adventure is a short walk away from the site. With destinations including Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, this location is perfect for a Lake District holiday at any time of the year.

A travel cot and highchair are provided in the lodge.

White Cross Bay has its own onsite facilities. You will need to purchase a complex pass from reception which includes the use of the pool, entertainment and access to bar and restaurant. The prices are subject to change by park management.

The nearest charging point can be found at Booths Supermarket in Windermere.

Park Rules and Operations – White Cross Bay

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.


Hot Tubs

For the comfort of other holidays guests we request that noise is kept to a minimum. Usage of the hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only. If you are found to breach these timings then you may be asked to vacate the park with no call for a refund.

All hot tubs are maintained to strict industry standards and HSE guidelines by separate qualified independent contractors on behalf of the property owners. This includes changing the water between guest stays and checking the water condition on a regular basis.

Whilst every effort is made to have a hot tub ready for immediate use by the arrival time stated, this may not always be possible. In such cases the hot tub will usually be ready to use later that day unless otherwise advised. In such cases no compensation or refund is payable unless the hot tub is faulty.

Information about using a hot tub safely is provided at all lodges with a hot tub and on a prominent notice near the tub. All hot tub users should wear an appropriate bathing suit. Usage of a hot tub is at a guests own risk and Lake District Lodge Holidays accepts no liability for anything which may happen to a guest as a direct result of using a hot tub.
