Description
Hideaway Lodge is situated in the Kirkstone area of Limefitt Park in the Troutbeck Valley just four miles from the charming village of Windermere.
The bright and airy open plan living area is ideal for guests to socialise and get involved in planning out activities for the next day.
Hideaway Lodge is ideal for couples as well as families and it sleeps six guests plus as an infant in a travel cot.
The lodge offers a decking area where guests can relax and unwind after a day hiking and sightseeing or in the summer months it is perfect to dine outside with a cold glass of wine.
Wherever you are on the Park, you’ll enjoy nature and woodlands, and the Trout Beck runs through the park, and has some picnic areas, near the children’s playground.
There’s also a pub on site, the Haybarn, and a small shop.
Troutbeck and is just over four miles from Windermere village and from the Park, you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man.

everything in excellent condition and there would have been lots to do on a raining day - fortunately the weather was fabulous so toys/games and dvds not needed. We keep coming back to Limefitt as the site never lets us down and this was the most comfotable lodge we have stayed in. Just keep an eye on the decking as there are a few bits starting to rot. we had a great stay and the dogs loved it too even though we only found the box of dog treat as we were tidying up and about to leave.
We had an issue with the fridge initially, which your maintainence helped us with.
Later one of the gates fell off, and again your crew managed to fix it for us. We have stayed in this lodge many times, and find the facilities inside are perfectly suited to our stay. We have aready made or next booking. Thank you

Property is exactly as described, well equipped and very comfortable. There are fabulous views from the lodge and there are short walks from the door. Didn’t have time to use the on site facilities - hopefully next time.
I have stayed at Hideaway Lodge many times and never disappointed.
It is always spotlessly clean with every utensil/facility required. It is also has two double bedrooms unlike most other lodges that are twin. It is on a lovely part of the park and not overlooked. The owners give 10% discount for return visitors. Due to sad personal circumstances I went with a friend this time and the owners knew about this and there was a beautiful bunch of flowers and card which was such a lovely gesture. I hope to return very soon.
This was our second stay at Hideaway Lodge and, as previously, we were very impressed with everything about it.
It was very clean and well stocked and had everything we needed. Even though we, unfortunately, had a lot of rain during our stay, we were very comfortable and cosy in the lodge. We brought our 2 dogs to escape the fireworks and it was perfect, so peaceful and quiet. We all loved our stay and will definitely be booking again next year.
Lovely property in a fantastic site, the views are stunning and the weather was perfect we will have no problems in going back, our dog also enjoyed the countryside walks

Lots of room and storage. Beautiful views. Weather was very warm some rainy days could have done with a fan. Great site. Lodge very clean only thing I could say is could do with an update in bedrooms and new sofas. Overall lovely stay.

Gorgeous park gorgeous views very clean lodge The only thing I would say is having a smart tv would be much better so you could watch Netflix etc specially having kids in the lodge but the games went down an absolute treat

We had a fabulous stay.
The lodge was clean and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need for your stay. I picked the lodge as due to disabilities I needed the recliner seat to sleep in. The views from the veranda were stunning and the location of the lodge was perfect. Hubby said the walks from the site were fantastic. While I, as someone who has mobility issues and spends all week housebound, it was fantastic to sit on the veranda, taking in the fresh air, listening to the birds and laughing at the escaped Herdwick sheep that kept appearing. Will definitely be back, as we never wanted to leave.
We found the property roomy and comfortable for out short break and It was well equipped, it was placed on good site on the the park too.
If we were to be picky then getting connected to the Internet was a bit laborious and the property could do with a refresh on the fixture and fittings.
This was our second stay at Hideaway Lodge and again we were impressed with the cleanliness of the lodge and everything we needed for our stay.
The lodge is in a lovely position on the site with amazing views. The weather was very cold but the lodge is extremely warm and cosy with plenty of DVDs and games. As an added bonus for a return visit the property owner offers a discount. We would highly recommend this lodge and we look forward to returning soon.

Excellent homely lodge, very comfortable and cosy,we all enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.
Had a lovely 7 day stay at this lodge it had everything you needed very clean warm and comfortable pub on site with sky sports and food ,would recommend staying here 2 pubs with lovely food just up the road and about 3 miles from Windermere with a bus stop out side the site overall first class And a small shop on site too

Family of 6 and 2 dogs enjoyed a fabulous 4 nights stay. It was very clean and comfortable could not have asked for any more from the lodge. Great location for days out. Excellent holiday park with lots of woods and countryside to explore. The pub on site was good and food there was very passable for the prices.

We have stayed in various lodges on Limefitt Park but as family were joining us we needed a larger lodge and we were not disappointed.
There is everything you need and more! The cleaners should be praised as it was spotless. The beds were comfortable and we chose this lodge as there is a bath which we enjoy after a day's walking. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac on the park with amazing views. The lodge is well maintained with lovely furnishings. We would highly recommend Hideaway Lodge.

We had an amazing time at Hideaway Lodge, which suited us perfectly.
The lodge was spacious and comfortable and in a good location. We would definitely return to Hideaway Lodge again in the future.
A good all round homely well equipt lodge.
The Christmas tree was a lovely addition to the living room. The owners were kind enough to leave us with treats and a Christmas card which was a nice touch. Despite the torrential downpours this did not dampen our spirits. Limefitt is a lovely base to stay at any time of the year we have stayed in 8 different lodges here and this one would certainly be near the top of my list of recommendations. I would definitely come back to hideaway again!!

This lodge is one of the best we have stayed in .
Loved the fact there were so many children’s toys and games for my 4 year old . This lodge is so spacious and the walk in wardrobe and en-suite were a great feature . Good location on this lovely quiet park
Hideaway is a beautiful lodge in a perfect location.
When we arrived the lodge was very clean, cosy, warm and welcoming and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There was also a much appreciated abundant supply of books, games and DVDs for the rainy days stuck indoors. We really enjoyed our 4 days at Hideaway and our two dogs loved it too! We look forward to returning next year.
The lodge was fabulous and had everything we could possibly need the only critique was the water pressure if you turned on a tap while someone was in the shower the water went off meaning we could only use one shower at a time but apart from that we had a lovely stay
We stayed at Hideaway lodge for three nights.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hideaway lodge, and as a family with 4x children, it was definitely large enough for us all.
There was a good selection of dvd’s to choose from, lots of cookware in the kitchen, some toys for the younger kids, an outside table and chairs, and a wrap around deck. The play park is excellent and the stream on site is great for paddling in. We didn’t try the pub on-site but we certainly were not disturbed by it on an evening. It was a lovely quiet site. There were some dishwasher tablets left for us to use which was very helpful.
Lovely accommodation with lots of kitchen equipment, the weather was a bit inclement so the abundance of DVD’s came in handy.

Location, facilities & comfort all spot on. We reported a broken floorboard on the deck which was replaced same day. We noticed that the top hinge on the front gate is broken, and probably just needs longer screws. But apart from this, absolutely fabulous Thanks again The Tellwright family

Lovely lodge just as remembered from a previous stay, unfortunately there was building work being undertaken on the lodge behind us very noisy brick cutting leaving brick dust clouds right over the lodge and decking so we were not able to sit outside on the only decent day of the weekend (Saturday)!
Other than that great lodge, very comfy, with beautiful views will definitely return.

The local pub The Hay Barn were really welcoming, we arrived late, the children hadn't eaten and we had no milk, Mandy and the team at the Hay barn cooked pizza for us even tho the resturant was closed and gave us milk to keep us going to the morning. The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed including films to watch, books to read and games to play . It had amazing view from the sofa, watching the day start with a coffee was lovely.

We had a lovely time at hideaway lodge, limefitt park is our favourite and we try to get there at least once a year.
The beds are nice and comfy, lodge is warm and welcoming, views are fantastic. The only critique is a minimal one and it is that the lodge could do with some updating on the electronics, I.e the Main TV, would be good if it was a smart one like other lodges we have stayed in on limefitt, just gives it a touch of luxury for cozy evenings relaxing and finding something to watch after a long walk. The fridge also got a tad too cold and froze our Pepsi’s, this could be an error on our part, maybe we had them too close to the back of the fridge. As stated these are just minimal and did not effect our stay in any way and we absolutely loved it, We highly recommend the lodge and will definitely be booking again. Thank you
On first arrival everything looked clean and tidy on the surface, but once we started using the facility's it was very different.
We found a dirty ready meal tin tray in the oven, the oven shelves were caked in grease and had to be cleaned before being used. On opening the dish washer we found dirty cutlery in the tray. The kitchen sink and plug hole where filthy. The vacuum cleaner was not working. At the end of taking a shower in the master bedroom you were standing ankle deep in water and on closer inspection the drain away was full of hair. Thick cobwebs around the coving in the master bedroom above the headboard and in the living room above the TV. Your cleaners need a good talking too, not only do the surfaces need cleaning but inside items as mentioned above also need cleaning. It's a shame that we have had to bring this to your attention as the lodge was very comfortable and in a fantastic location.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hideaway Lodge, Limefitt Park is just ideal place to stay beautiful scenery, lovely walks peace and tranquillity.
Hideaway Lodge set in very good position close to The Haybarn serving really nice food and drink the beer garden is the most wonderful place to sit on and evening over looking the most fantastic views, the staff at The Haybarn and Limefitt Park are all very kind and helpful , the lodge it’s self is very homely everything we needed was there and the beds were very comfortable only thing we would have liked was a hot tub however this didn’t spoil anything and our holiday was just perfect

When we arrived at the lodge, at the correct handover time, we found our lodge not cleaned from the previous occupants, I rang Sykes and the was dealt with very quickly.
The lodge itself was lovely, very spacious and had lovely views, we have stayed at limefitt park before but not in this lodge we would definitely recommend this location.
We are sorry to hear that your lodge had not been cleaned in time for when you arrived although thank you for your understanding whilst we resolved the matter. It appears that the lodge had simply been overlooked which is most unusual for the cleaning company responsible, and we can only say we are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We are pleased that as soon as you were in you enjoyed your stay and the location. Hideaway is a great lodge and in a super location for a holiday in the Lakes. . If anything it could have been cleaned better.. There was lots of dust on the skirting boards and I even found a chocolate under the cabinet in dining area, only found as I was looking for dogs ball just glad I found it and not the dog.. But overall had a great stay and would definitely return..

The lodge was clean on arrival, very cosy and welcoming for our family.
The owner even popped by to water the plants and say hello during our stay which was very sweet. The amenities on site are amazing there is a beautiful river pool where you can go for a swim, football pitch, badminton area, a dog walking area, pony trekking and a lovely pub on site with friendly staff who did so well working when shortstaffed during the pandemic. I would absolutely recommend this lodge and would definitely stay there again!!!

Not very nice to have an oven glove left for us to use that clearly hadn’t been washed, especially in the current situation.
Cleaner needs to be a little more thorough and hoover against skirting boards and in corners as were quite a lot of ‘bits’ and dust. Otherwise the lodge is fantastic, in a great location with views to die for.

Had a fantastic week away as a family of 6 celebrating a Golden Wedding Anniversary. Location absolutely perfect for exploring the Lake District, Fantastic walks from the park , lodge has stunning views too . Would definitely recommend this lodge and hope to return soon.
Lovely warm and cosy lodge with wonderful views over to Wansfell.
Lots of walks on the doorstep from the back of the park wonderful views over windermere and up the other side of the valley to Wansfell and if you want to go further over the Ambleside. The lodge is very well equipped and with very comfy beds, everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Park was quite busy which was good to see after the closures due to covid. Would highly recommend this lodge. Dog Friendly too which was a big bonus for us - 2 exhausted dogs everyday.
Great place to stay
We recently stayed in Hideaway Lodge, which has three bedrooms and was very comfortable. We couldn't have asked for anything more, there were two travel cots available, a high chair, toys, games and jigsaws. There is a large decking area with tables and chairs to sit at, the lodge is in a quiet location near the top of the park but you can walk to the play area, pub, shop etc. There is plenty to do, we loved the spa wich is included in the booking and Windemere is only 2 1/2 miles away. I will be back with my family when I can arrange the time! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Peace and quiet. Great location
Limefitt is a perfect location it is quiet and private but only 5 minutes drive to Windermere. The park,shop and bar are lovely and you are not far from 2 other lovely pubs that can be walked to safely from the site. The lodge is starting to show its age slightly and few things could be repaired/replaced. One of backs of the dining chairs was broken as well as both the DVD players either that or they were bit tricky to work? Also some of the crockery had chips etc but generally speaking a lovely well equipped lodge and the toys and walk in wardrobe a great feature. The electricity supply often tripped and had to be reset from the consumer unit outside the lodge this happened last year in same lodge so poss an issue just here as I have stayed in 3 other lodges and not had same problem? The pass to Low Wood is also an added bonus and I would recommend this. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Mini getaway at Hideaway Lodge
Limefitt Park is situated in a beautiful valley with opportunity for adventure all around. We stayed at Hideaway Lodge for a long weekend last year and didn't hesitate in re-booking when we knew we were attending a wedding close by. The lodge is near the top of the park with a wonderful view of the hills from the living area. The onsite pub, The Haybarn is a must - very friendly people who rallied round with a smile when our party of eleven arrived for a meal without booking. It is just a couple of minutes walk from Hideaway. I understand the Hideaway Lodge itself is about to get a spruce up. This is needed in a few small areas but overall we found it a very pleasant stay. There were five adults and two small dogs and we found there was plenty of room for all of us. The facilities are like a home from home with all the kitchen equipment you could wish for. Children and babies are well catered for with cots, highchairs and games galore. Both the en-suite and main bathroom have a good shower. The question is would we stay again if we needed a three bedroom lodge? The answer is once all the sprucing up has been done - I would not hesitate! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Hideaway lodge was extremely well presented and equipped. The balcony surrounding the lodge proved to be very safe for our disabled daughter and pet cocker spaniel. Beautiful lodge with stunning views.
Had a wonderful stay in this clean, well-equipped, perfectly positioned lodge. Had everything we needed and hot-tub was a welcome addition. Local pub on site was good for food. Would have welcomed a couple of activities for kids as it was summer hols but there was plenty of stuff to do locally so it wasn't really an issue. Overall, loved it! Nice location, relaxing holiday
Cabin could have been cleaner...fridge and kitchen cupboards need a clean out. Nowhere to hang wet towels. Quiet park. Dog field was good, adventure park good, pub friendly service and good value yummy food. Surly staff at reception of limefitt though, especially male Liverpudlian. Lovely location. Well stocked cabin although crockery needs thinning out as no room for food!

Had a lovely 4 night stay at the hideaway lodge! Excellent lodge we everything you need... Washer, dryer and a dishwasher, even had toys for the children!! Great location, only problem we had was with the hot tub it had a terrible dirty smell to it and we struggled to get hold of someone due to signal but didn't put us off returning to lodge can't wait to go back next year What did you enjoy most about your stay? Stayed in Hideaway Lodge at christmas and had a fantastic time. The lodge was amazing, it felt like luxury but also very homely. The hot tub was lovely and really made it feel special. We are definately planning on staying again this year. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The hot tub.
Lovely cabin
Could not fault the cabin , it was spacious, clean and well equipped . Outside was good size decking area with sunken hot tub. The park itself had a handy shop , dog walking area and fabulous views , and was within easy reach of Windermere , Bowness , Ambleside , Grasmere etc. Highly recommended What did you enjoy most about your stay? We stayed in hideaway lodge for my hubby's 50th birthday, it was just round corner from the hay barn pub,a group of six.definately wow when we walked inside.very spacious,like home from home.especially the kingsize bedroom with walk in dressing room.loved the hot-tub!!.we had a great time there and would recommend to all.!!!!!! Great North Swim Stay
Very enjoyable stay at the Hideaway Lodge. Ample room for 6 adults and a little dog. Everywhere very clean, maybe a bit tired in places, for example a couple of the handles in the en-suite shower were missing, the temperature knob was missing in the main bathroom, the outside door had a few cracks in it - but nothing to deter from wonderful stay. Nice touch was the hot tub, especially after long walk! Would not hesitate to recommend the lodge and Lake District Lodge Holidays - impeccable service! Had very nice meals, one at the Mortal Man - excellent service, good food. And two meals at the Haybarn on site - excellent service, good meals and the breakfast was very good. We did have very noisy neighbours next door who insisted in loud noise till the early hours. I believe someone form the site asked them to be quiet, but again this did not affect our stay. The lodge was so beautiful. It was spotlessly clean and so much room. When we arrived we all fell in love with the Lodge, the Park's facilities everything we wanted. We had a wonderful time. LOVELY RELAXING BREAK
The Hideaway is a lovely spacious, luxurious Lodge and would certainly recommend a stay here. The Hot Tub is an added bonus too. Limefitt Park is very well maintained, quiet and relaxing with the Haybarn pub serving great food and the shop providing necessary provisions(wine and beer!) It is not the place to stay if you want plenty of action but for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings and close to lots of attractions you can't beat it. don't know where to start on this one, on arrival at lodge the two tv,s in the bedrooms did not work, the ensuite bathroom had black mould pores on the walls, toilet seat had a chip in it my towels had bleach stains on them the clock in the living room didn't work and also the outside light and torch as well didn't work. these were rectified by lakedistrictlodgeholidys and I thank them for that but I would of thought all of these should of been checked before guests arrived. A lovely long weekend
We came to the Hideaway Lodge for a Friday to Monday break and it was fantastic! We were helped by great weather for the time of year but the lodge was lovely. Really clean and well kept and had lot of things you might need on your stay - a washer, a dryer, dishwasher and even toys for children. A great holiday enjoyed by all! Just returned from a mid week break in 'Hideaway' lodge at Troutbeck. The lodge was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. There was a hot tub supplied but we chose not to use it. We visited Hideaway Lodge with our friends for a long weekend of walking, golf and generally enjoying the Lakes. Amazing stay at hideaway lodge.
The stay at hideaway lodge was everything we expected and more. The walk in wardrobe was a wonderful surprise for my children. The dishwasher and washer made it really feel like home. We didn't want to leave and have already booked our return trip for 7 nights. The views were outstanding and I sat there in a world of my own. Really Nice Lodge to celebrate a family 60th birthday
We stayed here a week ago to celebrate my wife's birthday with our family and a small cockapoo. The lodge was tastefully furnished and quite comfortable. My daughters particularly liked the hot tub. It is in an ideal location only a few miles from Ambleside, Bowness and Windermere and the scenery from the lodge was breathtaking. We did try the on-site pub/club house which we couldn't recommend (just very basic pub food and limited choice of ales and wines), but there is a fantastic pub and micro brewery 'The Watermill' just a short distance away in Ing which I would highly recommend and is exceptionally dog friendly to the extent that if you haven't a dog, you feel you should rush straight out and get one. Service from the Lake District Lodge staff was excellent, including very helpful emails, SMS text messages and on-site advice. I felt that the staff at the site really couldn't do enough to help and make our stay really enjoyable. The lodge could have been a little cleaner and I provided feedback on this on the feedback questionnaire. If you asked me if I'd recommend the Lodge to my friends or stay here again, then the answer would be definitely yes. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Then walk back along the far side of Lake Windermere before returning by ferry to Bowness.
Lovely midweek break
Lodge, site, location and weather great. Food in haybarn pub could be much better. Some friendly advice for hideaway owners the curtains at patio doors and windows giving off a lingering food smell, perhaps giving them a spin in washing machine may rid the smell. A lovely retreat for a family get together
We stayed here in June 2016 as a family get together, we were fortunate to have a lodge with a hot tub which was ideal after a long walk. The only downside we found was that the lodges were so close together that you were overlooked on both sides by other lodges, although this didn't have too much of an impact we had to keep the bedrooms curtains closed the majority of times, this was fed back to the owner who, hopefully will take this on board and provide blinds. The site was clean and quiet but we weren't there in the school holidays so can imagine it may get very noisey during these times.... The Barn pub provided good food but check the opening times as we tried to visit twice but it was closed although the timetable stated it was open from midday. Fab week at Hideaway lodge
This was our 4th stay at Limefitt park and our first Lodge with a hot tub. It was also our first booking through Lake District lodge holidays who I would highly recommend... Customer service was 5* The hot tub was great after a long day of walking & the views from Hideaway lodge were gorgeous. Fair sized Lodge with all the amenities... A Perfect Hideaway!
The lodge is lovely. Very well equipped, and furnished to a high standard. Lots of extras like DVDs and children's games and toys The beds were really comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect. The only thing I would mention (which did not affect our stay) is that the lodges on the site are quite close together The exercise field for dogs is great! Fantastic holiday with fabulous views
We stayed at Hideaway lodge from 8/9/17 - 11/9/17 and had a fabulous time. We were apprehensive at first as we were unsure about the location of the lodge. As soon as we arrived our worries were eased. The location couldn't be better. The views from the lodge are fantastic. We were able to walk our dog on the field close by and also enjoy a meal in the pub onsite while our dog was with us. This is a brilliant accommodation. Very spacious and everything you need. A comfortable well equipped lodge with spectacular views of the fells.
We had a great stay at this lodge with our two Bichon dogs. The lodge has a well equipped kitchen area with every cooking utensil you could possibly need for your stay. We chose this lodge for the hot tub which was fantastic. The gated area around the lodge for great for our dogs to walk around and totally safe. A nice lodge on a lovely park
Was a nice lodge in a lovely dog friendly park. We have stayed at the park before but at a different lodge and we could not help compare this lodge with the other one. The other lodge had a hot tub, which from reading the comments I understand this one used to have a hot tub. Also the other lodge had left a lovely welcome pack on arrival which even had treats for the dogs in. Overall this lodge was nice and comfortable. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Hideaway Heaven
It was our first visit to the Hideaway lodge & we were not disappointed. It is a home from home haven with lovely internal decor. A lot of thought has gone into this lodge as everything has been provided for : books for all ages, highchair, childrens toys etc. We are always grateful for owners that allow dogs in their properties as we only go if our beloved 4 pawed pet can join us so it was a winner all around for us. We love lymfit Park and we, as a family have been visiting the area off and on for over 40 years. Weekend Break Absolutly Fabulous!!!!
Last minute weekend break Friday 20th - Sunday 22nd September. This place certainly did not disappoint! The cabin is beautiful and clean, this has all you need on board including washer/ dryer, vacuum, children's games, high chairs and foldaway cots if needed and a walk in wardrobe!!! The place is beautiful and is on Limefitt Holiday Park situated on one of the best spots on the site. We had a fantastic weekend stay with our family having had a recent bereavement this was what we all needed, rain or shine it is the place to be! The site it's self it literally down the road from Lake Bowness, another one of our favourite places. The local pub on site is also value for money too, the food was nice and the service was great! Too crowded!
I'm sorry to have to share this but the lodge had a disgusting smell on arrival which we could not get rid of we chose the lodge as it was called The Hideaway but we were surrounded on every single side with other lodges had to keep the curtains shut on all sides the park does not have a reasonably stocked shop tried to go for breakfast and was told by a rude woman we dont open till 3!! Left on the Wednesday and couldnt wait to get away. Complete waste of money i apologise to the owners of the lodge but its not for us feel we ve been duped What did you enjoy most about your stay? Relaxing few days
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and homely Lodge. Lovely to see all the birds attracted by the bird feeders. Bonus of being allowed dogs and then an area for them to exercise first thing. Brilliant from start to finish
It is an absolutely beautiful lodge with fantastic views. Very well equipped, catered for our every need including games, books, DVDs supplied to keep our 5 year old entertained throughout. Very spacious as there was 6 of us staying there. The pub on site provided fantastic pub and entertainment. Weather was brilliant and park was local enough to everywhere. 5 days was not long enough. Weekend getaway
Booked for a quiet weekend with the family, we wanted to take the dogs and six of us. The hideaway was a perfect choice, lovely lodge with all the things needed for a comfortable stay, well looked after, bar on site with good food and service, perfectly located for Windermere and the lakes, we would definitely go back What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lake District holiday
Pictures do t do justice to hideaway lodge . It was much comfortable and nicer looking. We were a group of 6 people , 3 adults and 3 kids and found the lodge like our home. Not very clean
When we arrived at hideaway everything looked fine but on closer inspection we found clump of hair on bathroom mat, cobwebs near the bath, dead insects in front room with used shoe insoles under a chair and not very clean. Peaceful break

Fantastic lodge in a great location
We had a great stay here, the lodge was very clean and comfortable and had great views. The park itself is very peaceful and in a great location. Half term break
We booked last minute but lodge was lovely and cozy. Great location with hikes to Ambleside and a shirt drive to Windemere. On site pub good for drinks and a round of pool with the Mortal Man in Troutbeck a short walk for food by the fire. Lodge had everything we needed for our stay and was clean and well maintained. Sad it was cut short
We were planning to spend New Year here so was obviously a disappointment to have to leave on 31st as new restrictions were announced, which was no ones fault. The lodge was so lovely and we really appreciated the decorated Christmas tree and lights around the decking, which made it so festive and inviting. Over all Was a pleasant stay at Hideaway lodge, warm and cosy. Plenty of towels, beds comfy and everything you could need. The views and position was wonderful. I would recommend. Hideaway is accessed by 5 steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.
A travel cot will fit in either the master bedroom or second bedroom. There is 2x travel cots and 1x highchair provided at the lodge for you.

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
