Kirkstone Lodge

We had a lovely stay at kirkstone lodge,it's like home from home everything we needed was there nice comfy beds lovely bathrooms,the kitchen looks fairly new as read in the write up,we had the best weather ever so sitting outside on the decking was so nice,the lodge was spotless on arrival so hats of to the cleaning staff,we had a small problem with the telly but we rang the maintenance fella and he came and sorted it so thanks for that sorry can't remember his name

The lodge was ideal for our needs, we were able to charge a mobility scooter with ease.

Great to have 2 bathrooms, one with a bath another with a roomy walk-in shower. Updated furnishings and fittings. Will choose Kirkstone Lodge again, when visiting beautiful Cumbria. Site well situated for exploring the Lake Disttict.

My family and I had a lovely stay at Kirkstone Lodge.

We are regulars to Limefitt Park, so we know what to expect from the site and its surroundings - hence being regular visitors! Kirkstone Lodge itself was clean, tidy, comfortable and well kitted out for our stay. It was an ideal place to come back to after a busy day out and about enjoying the Lakes, or to simply relax and enjoy the peace in the comfort of the lodge. A couple of minor things: i) we would have preferred to have had some kind of blinds on the windows, just for the option of a bit more privacy, but fully appreciate that this is a question of personal preference. ii) the listing on the website could have included photos of the master bedroom and the en-suite, just to give a fuller picture. When booking, we didn’t see the rest of the lodge, so it felt like we were taking a small gamble. In the event, it wasn’t a gamble at all as the master bedroom and en-suite were absolutely spot on and more than met our needs. We’d happily stay at Kirkstone Lodge again, and would gladly recommend it as a great place to relax and enjoy one’s time in the Lakes.

We loved the lodge and everything about it, location, set up, views, space and decor.

We have never stayed in a place where the base of the inside of the toilet at the base where the water is looked as though it had never been properly cleaned for months on end with the build up of limescale which we know what that is from, which really makes you feel dirty and makes you feel the rest of the place was not clean, such a shame. I would have booked to go back but the unclean toilet issue would put me off. I can see that the owners have taken care and made good choices with the John Lewis decor, however it was let down by attention to detail regarding the cleaning, the lodge smelled a bit foisty and unfresh and the kitchen bin was not cleaned properly, and as mentioned the particularly unclean toilet bases were a huge put off for me. I have marked the experience as 4 star however these things would not be difficult to resolve and is the difference from being a 4 or 5 star experience.

Lovely and roomy lodge in a good position on the site. Fab walk in shower in the en-suite & corner bath in main. Well kitted out kitchen with sharp knives and small dishwasher. Two outside areas to catch the sun as it moves. Will def be back

Kirkstone Lodge is a lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

I love the Limefitt Park area and have visited there every year for many years. Troutbeck is a favourite place for me. It was very quiet the week I stayed, so the Haybarn did not open until early evening, which was a shame because there were a few passing walkers who called by hoping for a drink and something to eat. I expect they would have better luck in peak times.

It really was a lovely lodge You couldn't find any fault with it.

It's in the perfect position for travelling around very peaceful. Very comfortable. We will be going back to this lodge Maybe this year definitely next year. It's well equipped and everything you need Only thing needed is a use of a bbq

We had a lovely stay at Kirkstone Lodge, it’s a beautiful lodge, well equipped, and had everything we needed.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating, and prompt at communicating. We will be visiting again.

It's our 2nd stay at the Kirkstone lodge and is perfect in every way no issues at all & in a perfect location to the Haybarn pub too.

The park is also in a great location close to Windermere and Ambleside and note the pub up the lane The Queens Head Great Meals served too.The Haybarn Pub is also a nice place to eat or drink Great friendly staff. We will be booking the Kerkstone Lodge again for sure love this place so thank you guys for a very pleasant stay

The property is very comfortable and clean.

We had an issue on the boiler on our last night where the water does not get warm. We’ve rang the number provided on the email but its the cleaning lady who answered. Luckily she knows the owners number so we were able to contact them. We needed to troubleshoot the boiler for us to get hot water. Other than that, the location of the property is perfect!

Absolutely stunning lodge with everything you need.

We have stayed on this park several times & this is one of the nicest lodges we have stayed in. Couldn’t fault anything about it. 5 ⭐️ from us

What can I say other than perfect.

This lodge was perfect in every way. Immaculate throughout. Everything looked brand new from the kitchen, the shower, through to the soft furnishings. The park itself was a tranquil haven away from the bustling towns of Ambleside, and Bowness. Yet both within a short drive away. The lodge was situated in what we considered to be the best plot on the park. Light and airy, with fabulous views from every window. We didn't want to leave. Contrary to some other reviews, the sofas and beds were very comfortable, and the outside furniture also. We ate once in the onsite pub, food was delicious, and reasonably priced. Plenty walks straight from the door, including several Wainrights. Thankyou for a lovely stay, we'll be booking again for next year.

We had an amazing time staying here over Christmas and I really would recommend however, the Master bed is not very comfortable and is a bit on the small side and the sofas are a bit uncomfortable, but apart from that, everything else was great.

The location is absolutely stunning and the log cabin had everything we needed including Netflix, and prime, TV

We've been visiting Limefit park for well over ten years.

This is the nicest lodge I've stopped at. It was extremely clean, well equipped, and very roomy. Accompanied by the friendly communication with the owner, this made for an excellent holiday experience. I would recommend this lodge - both the location within the park (and parking was good) and proximity to visitor attractions.

Excellent accommodation in great location on the site Would suggest comfier sofas to laze in when back in the accommodation after a full day out walking round the Lake District Apart from that it was perfect, would definitely go back to this lodge

Really enjoyed our stay at the property.

Very clean, comfortable, with well equipped kitchen for home cooking. Some great walks to Ambleside, Bowness and the lake visitor centre, without having to go in the car. No big supermarkets in the area but Booths and co-op in Windermere sufficed our needs. Did see a few Asda deliveries arriving on the site so that's another option. The onsite pub is literally a 2 min walk with a good food menu and reasonably quick service. Definitely would recommend it for a stay.

The best lodge we have ever stayed in, very clean, modern, spacious.

We couldn’t fault anything. The Haybarn Inn pub on the site was brilliant the meals were 10/10 and the service and staff. We would definitely book again.
