You can walk to two local traditional pubs through the fields, and up onto the fells behind the Park toward the High Street range.

All of course with local pubs and shops and fantastic walks and breathtaking views.

This was our second visit to this lodge.

It was very clean and comfortable. Had everything in it you needed. No problems except trim on edge of freezer door was hanging off. A very relaxing stay. Saw more of the wildlife around the park this time. Visited the pub which was very cosy and friendly. Staff were very welcoming.

My partner and I and 2 black labs have stayed at this property a number of times over the years.

The lodge is starting to feel a little run down in places and the facilities in the kitchen were not as good as previous visits, with no tray for the grill or baking trays provided. The hot tub is however a nice added extra and this was very much enjoyed as part of our stay.
