Lakeland View Lodge

We have stayed in the lodge over the past 5 years, it’s accessible for our daughter who is a wheelchair user and meets all her requirements.

The wildlife is simply amazing we were even blessed with a badger coming to visit the lodge. Along with the traditional sheep checking the resort out. The only thing we couldn’t use was the hoover, sorry battery was flat. Thanks for a great base we will booking again for next year.

The accommodation was beautiful and the site was amazing.

We had such a great holiday and wished we could stay longer.

Really pleasant stay - the location is close to Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside and other nearby villages and towns.

The Lodge itself was clean, spacious, pretty modern decor and the hot tub worked perfectly fine. Would stay again

Very impressed with this lodge it was clean & tidy.

Very enjoyable stay, lovely surroundings despite the awful weather. The only fault, when emptying the bin there was food bits under it that hadn't been cleaned up after previous guests. Also in description it said there was a dvd player but I couldn't find one. After checking lodge many times before we left, I realised when we got home that I had left a bar of chocolate in the fridge door. It was laying flat so it will be a nice treat for someone. I do hope to book this lodge again as it was very peaceful park and my dog loved the dog field.

Absolutely awful experience.

The property was falsely advertised as having a gym and spa on site – neither of which exist. To make matters worse, the CO2 alarms went off at around 5:30am, which was extremely alarming. When we contacted maintenance, they “fixed” the issue by breaking the alarms just to silence them. Unbelievably, the host then attempted to charge us £99.99 to repair the very alarms their own maintenance team damaged. Completely unacceptable behaviour and very poor management. I would strongly advise others to avoid staying here.

We had a lovely weekend in this lodge, everything was perfect, one thing for the owners when we came to hoover round when leaving the hoover didn’t seem to be charging.

The lodge was really nice and warm & clean, had everything you would need on your stay.

As someone already mentioned, the hot tube was a bit on a cold side for the first evening so I didn’t stay for long as outside temperature was freezing but it was hot for the rest of the days. The lock of En-Suite bathroom was broken and the doors made a lot of noise which was reported before we’re leaving and it said would be addressed. The pub also was very nice with the live music and lots of activities and just around the corner, surroundings also very nice. There is a window on the roof in the bedroom which is ok, I just wish I could it close and open when needed as the sun goes directly. Overall, it was nice experience and would definitely come back. Had a fantastic stay in this beautiful lodge.

It was spacious, modern and very clean. It was also very well equipped. Loved the hot tub too and it was very private which was nice.

Very clean with plenty of utensils etc.Hot tub was great and again very clean.The weather was exceptional for the time of year and we enjoyed having sitting out.We couldn't open the bifold doors fully for some reason and a couple of bulbs didn,t work with no replacements.But that was a very small niggle.We had a lovely time and we will be back.This is our second stay in this lodge and we would fully recommend it.

We've stayed at Limefitt Park three times now and this has been our favourite lodge by far to stay in.

Beautifully decorated, lovely facilities and the perfect spot in the park for us. Will 100% be re-booking for this lodge.

We stayed at Lakeland View Lodge for a weekend and loved it.

The lodge was beautiful, clean and tidy and the hot tub was an excellent addition after long days of walking. It was lovely to find dog bowls in the cupboard as I somehow managed to forget my dogs water bowl! The beds were comfy as were the sofas and the cupboards are well stocked with high quality cooking utensils and crockery. Limefitt is a beautiful quiet park that we visit often. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting the Lakes and would love to return to this lodge in the future.

If we could rate this more than a 10 we would love to.

It was our first holiday with our 4 month old son and everything was so easy and relaxed. Location was absolutely perfect for what we wanted, the lodge was beautiful, the local pub served good food and beer, and Joanne particularly loved the relaxing in the hot tub.

We had a great stay and I'd call the place 99% perfect and would have no hesitation in booking again.

Couple of points to improve are the WiFi, it is pretty much none existent unless you sit in a certain spot with the doors open. Lack of summer ready bedding. We arrived in a heatwave and the quilt was luxuriously winter ready but absolutely killed a nights sleep until day 2 when we just used the quilt cover. Acceptance that the hot tub may have 4 seats but there is not a chance on earth 4 people can relax in there at the same time without sitting in each other's knees. It's a lovely touch but tight for space for 4. All that said, this place is comfortable, clean and on a really beautiful site with sheep and deer randomly wondering around. There's a lovely site pub that does nice food and without a doubt we'd go back in a heartbeat.

The hot tub was fab. We had a great time while staying here, it was located in the perfect place only 5/10 minute drive from the local villages easy to pop out to grab a few bits

beautiful cabin, ramp access perfect for my elderly dog, been in a few cabins on the park and this is a hidden gem, only downsides dvd never worked properly and cleanliness let it down, sweet wrappers down the sides of the chairs, towel on floor outside cabin and dirty plasters on the decking, would I stay in cabin again?

The hot tub was amazing really enjoyed it. Love that we was able to bring our 2 french bulldogs they loved sitting on the decking in the sun. Was great walks we took them on. This was our second time at limefitt park this lodge was the best. Will definitely be returning and hopefully if available we will be booking this lodge again.

Had a great break as usual in this nice lodge.

The only thing that annoyed us greatly was that we were unable to use the hot tub on the first night as not reached sufficient temperature ie/ 30 Deg C not 40 Deg C. It must have been filled too late in the day. We paid for this facility which is important to us and were extremely annoyed by this issue. We rang the Sykes helpline at about 17:50 on 17/03 and got message saying they would call within 20 mins. However, nobody got in touch with us after this and we were left without any assistance which irritated us both on day one of our holiday. We expect compensation from Sykes on this matter as longstanding / loyal customers.

Had a lovely stay over New year.

The Lodge is homely, and the added touch of the Christmas tree was perfect. It would of been better if there was Wi-Fi or an updated TV which had apps such as Netflix etc to allow guests to even hotspot off their phones to watch films etc.

This lodge was absolutely beautiful!

We had a very comfortable stay here, with everything we needed. The hot tub was a unique touch, chilling with the views we had was the most relaxing time. The WiFi was the only down side to this lodge. We were both unable to connect to WiFi however I don’t expect anything less, with the location of the lodge. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

Stayed in this lodge a few times, this time was very disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working and wasn’t able to be fixed until after our stay!

There was a strange smell towards the back of the cabin and from the bathroom, eggy funny smell not sure whether the drains need looking at or not.. other than that same as usual clean everywhere. We love the park!

As ever, another great stay at Lakeland View.

We have already booked again for 2025. We did experience a maintenance issue, while we were there however, have to say, the support and assistance from contractors and staff was exceptional and has to be applauded. Looking forward to returning next year!

We had the most wonderful time here at Lakeland Veiw Lodge.

The lodge was clean and fresh, very welcoming, gorgeous comfortable sofas and beds, the main shower was amazing, so powerful a joy to use after a day out. The lodge had everything you could possibly need or want, kitchen was so well equipped, the fabulous bifold doors in the lounge were wonderful to open and take in the views, bringing the outside in, perfect.The hot tub was a great bonus, so lovely to relax in after a busy day or whenever, it is positioned so well, nice and private and again with stunning views. We have stayed here at Limefit Park on many occasions as it suits us so well with our two dogs, we love the Park and have both agreed this Lodge has definitely been the best and most comfortable out of all the others we have stayed in, it ticked all the boxes and more. We will definitely be booking this lodge again and can't wait. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Beautiful Lodge in lovely location on the site .

Was well equipped with everything you would need. Hot tub was fab and very clean. A great all round lodge, which we will definitely be returning to in the future.

Stayed in this lodge twice this year so far and was perfect yet again.

We love the hot tub and love returning to this comfortable lodge after a walk each day. Visited Haybarn Pub twice to eat and was really good both times. Hopefully we will return many times in the future. A big Thank You to the owners. Phil (Wrexham)

Lovely lodge had a great stay, DVD player not working and has been previously mentioned, think the cable is squashed?

Hot tub could do with a clean was a bit slippy and needed topping up and a couple of jets not fully working. The lodge bathrooms were great and lovely towels. If you have a bad back the bed is not the comfiest but overall lovely spot with great views on a lovely site with good facilities for dogs.

My partner and I have stayed at Lakeland view lodge on 3 occasions along with our 2 black Labradors.

In my opinion this is the best lodge we have stayed in on Limefitt holiday park. The lodge has everything you would require for a self catering holiday. The hot tub is nice and private and lovely to dip into in the evening after a long day out exploring. We will be booking again in the near future

The details of where the lock box is if you arrive after 5.

30 need to be changed as there’s no lock box for a fob by the gate, you have to ring reception and the security guy will answer to let you through. Also some small touches such as shower gel, shampoo, small milk would be nice considering the price of the place. Also do not say to people the wifi works as we didn’t get it the whole time or any major signal so it’s a bit of a pain if you need to use your phone to get maps up etc! Odd smell lingered the whole time - kind of fishy.. might be worth looking into? As soon as we walked in it hit us and didn't leave. Was a nice place though overall and a convenient location

Everything good except for some of the old grumpy residents that can’t mind their own business.

Kept getting hounded by some Scottish old man with a dog called Bob. Literally criticizing everything we did!

Brilliant lodge - have been to this lodge several times and always enjoy staying here.

Hot tub is a great feature after a long walk. Could do with a few more wine glasses / tumblers.

Been here 3 times now, same lodge.

We absolutely love it, been once with our dog and it’s perfect for a pet, especially how the hot tub and terrace are secure and separate. Been now twice with our little girl. Just so nice and clean, beds comfortable, and just in a perfect location. We love this park and will certainly be returning. And will probably be back to this cabin if available

We had a wonderful stay, very comfortable and clean, the only recommendation would be that the fridge/freezer is not switched off between each holiday stay as we had to clean up big pool of water on arrival where the cleaner had switch the fridge/freezer off!

Lovely place to stay as a base, we were in a heatwave so didn't stay inside much.

Shame it was on a slope as children liked to bike and scooter down it. Very clean and comfy.

We would like to say thank you so much for helping us have a wonderful and relaxing time while staying at the lodge.

It really was pretty perfect in many ways fully accessible for my daughter who has complex health needs which enabled us to enjoy the holiday as much as she did. Hot tub really was the cherry on the cake x so Thank you again

We have just returned from a week in the Lakeland view lodge and we have had a great time !

It is our second time visiting limefitt park and the site is beautiful, very clean, amazing views and things to do for the children like the park and paddling in the river. The Lodge itself was immaculate and had everything you could want in it we had a lovely stay. The hot tub is our personal favourite. They Haybarn on-site is lovely with great views from the terrace , I do feel the opening times are restricted however and would benefit from being open through the day rather than just an evening. We ate at a lovely little pub near to the site called the queens head and the food was amazing would highly recommend. My only constructive criticism would be the bedroom doors lead out onto the hot tub and the room does smell quite strongly of foist which I presume comes from the mat/carpet off it getting wet from people going in and out of those doors, may be worth changing carpet to hard floor, however this did not affect our stay it was still amazing and we will be back.

This was our second time staying in this lodge and it is lovely.

Unfortunately on our stay this time, we arrived to the neighbouring lodge completing very loud works on the outside of their lodge which I understand is no fault of the owners of Lakeland View but it is very frustrating when you have a 3 month old baby who needs his naps. Maybe all of the lodge owners should announce when they will be doing works so that guests can decide whether they would still want to stay or not. As well as that, the previous occupants had sadly been smoking in the lodge so there was a strong smell of cigarettes, especially in the smaller twin bedroom, which again is no fault of the owners. The double bed seemed like it had collapsed at the head of the bed, so when lying down you felt upside down. We really did have a lovely stay it was just these few issues that brought it down for us.

Great location and all lake district towns easily accessible. One tiny niggle if we had to say would be the hoover didn't work and the dust catcher had snapped too - I think this was mentioned in some reviews so thought it would be fixed, we just like to clean up after ourselves but that is all. Nothing major. Beautiful little stay and will be back :)

The weather was beautiful during our stay so the hot tub was a lovely added bonus to dip in the evening after a day out exploring and the bi fold doors were also an added bonus. This is the seventh time we have visited Limefitt holiday park and this was by far the best lodge we have stayed in.

We had an amazing, sunny week in the Lakes and loved the accommodation, which was extremely clean, comfortable and well equipped.

The hot-tub was great, and the setting of the site was fantastic. A couple of small things which could have been better - the double bed in the main bedroom was quite small. Just about okay for me at 5 ft 10. Also, the en suite, while immaculately clean, did have a slightly bad smell. None of this detracted from the overall experience, which was great.

Very lucky with the weather. The lodge was perfect, super clean and well equipped. Beautiful views and so peaceful. I underestimated the steepness of the hill on site so had to drive my elderly father up to the Haybarn pub as his mobility scooter was not up to it. The hot tub was an absolute bonus. I would love to come back here.

Beautiful lodge the children and myself really enjoyed our stay, very clean and good facilties, just a couple notes for owner as the hoover didn't work properly it ran out of battery after about 10 seconds.

... hot tub dropped later in the day and the gas on the cooker floated between rings which freaked me out for a second... but this didn't effect our stay and we loved it ...so thanks very much we would love to come back x

It was a lovely property and the instructions to find the park and the lodge were clear to follow.

The lodge was clean and warm & cosy. And the children's play area area and dog field were great additions. The views and walks from the resort were also wonderful. We would return to this property and location because it was so good. And this is despite the very poor weather we had while we were there.

The holiday was ok, would have loved it but the heating was only coming on very sporadic times during the day so was like sitting in a freezer, the main bedroom had no heating whatsoever so we dreaded bedtime.

Also the velux window in the bedroom leaked on my husbands head while he was sleeping so that was the final straw we changed to the single beds. Not what you expect or want in the middle off November while paying nearly 700 pound.

Fantastic property!

Well equipped and comfortable. Having the hot tub accessed from the french doors in the bedroom and being surrounded by the privacy screening was perfect.

Best lodge ever stayed in.

Lovely decor and spotless. Beautiful location. Loved the hot tub. Everything thought of you might need. Only thing I could suggest is some kind of canopy for the hot tub as rain was really bad when we stayed. Other than that faultless and would love to stay again.

Only thing that let it down was the beds little and uncomfortable

Unfortunately our short break was affected by the work being carried out on the lodge next to us.

We were woken on the first morning at 8.30 am with banging, drilling, hammering as around 6 workmen built a decking area. The work continued for 3 days. I emailed Lake District Lodge Holidays on the first morning. No reply received. Disappointed in 2 counts. Firstly that the noise was considered acceptable before 10 am. Your instructions state, quite reasonably, that the Hot Tub should not be used before 10 am so as not to disturb other customers. Surely any maintenance work taking place should follow those dame rules ? Secondly - customer service. To just ignore my email is poor

Really lovely place to stay and had an amazing time.

A welcome pack with information about where to take rubbish and facilities on the grounds/ close by would be helpful. Such as closest supermarket and nice places to eat. The bedroom doors do not close properlly. Overall would deffinately come back and would recommend to friends.

Handy for all the facilities. Lodge had everything we needed. Staff on site from reception/shop to the staff at the Hayburn were all amazing. Such a friendly welcoming place. The Hayburn pub was really good. Only gripe was we had a couple of questions before we arrived and the owners didn’t get back to us after several emails. Still no reply? Will definitely come back!

The hot tub was great after a long walk. The site was fab, lots of lovely walks from there. We would definitely go back!

Property is in need of a lot of repairs.

Decking rails all loose at front, hot tub was disgusting!! Rubbish all round the outside, old clothes/towels left over the side. All blinds inside damaged, bed is not a double! For the money spent this should have been a lot nicer and enjoyable. We would have expected this of a 3* property on a 3* Park. Very disappointed.

Hot tub could do with a clean.

Water shouldn't be frofing up like it did. Didn't like the tide marks around it. Bed wasn't confourtable at all in the main bedroom and the single beds not much better. Very strong eggy smell in a morning that was quit overpowering. Would have expected better for a property costing £790 for 3 nights.

we stayed as a family of 3 and had a small dog and we all really enjoyed our time.

The setting of the lodge was lovely and had had no problems with the hot tub or facilities within the lodge (as previously read on reviews). We had nice weather so played in the stream that ran by the dog field/playground on site and had a family friendly pub also on site, the lady that ran it was very friendly ( couldn’t have food one day as chefs had covid but nothing could be done about this. ) 10 minute drive from Windermere town where we hired a boat, had food and looked around the shops. Overall would definitely recommend this lodge!

We had an amazing time in your lodge, perfectly situated in park, we love the troutbeck area and this is a perfect base of operations.

Some easy and tough walks nearby, so very tired by end of our stay. The lodge was very well presented and a perfect size for us and the dog there where just a couple of disappointments.(these would not stop us from returning however) 1. Bed in main room was super uncomfortable and very small 2. The heat in the lodge was VERY good...but too good if you know what I mean

Great hot tub. Only niggle would be the main bed, it was quite lumpy and therefore contributed to an uncomfortable night sleep in occasions.

The lodge was lovely and clean the staff and pub at the site were lovely however the hot tub didn't work from the first night I was left no information at all on how to use things the hot tub was not repaired the company that owns the lodge were rude and called me a liar on the phone when I was making the complaint about the hot tub and I wasn't refunded the full amount for the hot tub.

The perfect place to come back to after long days out walking – very modern, extremely clean and with all the facilities you could want. The dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves and their owners enjoyed the hot tub even more! The site itself was quiet at this time of year which worked for us. We had excellent weather and the pub on site was very accommodating. Very cosy with the fire! We didn't have a great deal of signal or wifi which we didn't mind, the wifi was a bit more reliable on the laptop we took which helped with planning our walks for the next day. Already working on our return! Thanks so much.

Although I enjoyed my stay with you guys, I did make your support team aware that the tv didn’t work properly but no one really resolved my issue which I was quite disappointed about as I felt like we paid for that facility and didn’t reallly get it.

Lovely lodge, second time we have stayed and we will book again for next year.

Unfortunately the main bed was so lumpy, noisy and uncomfortable that I didn't get a proper nights sleep in the two weeks.

Other than that the lodge was great, although there area few things that require some maintenance

As always a great well looked after lodge and really enjoyed our stay as we have done for the last six years.

Unfortunately due to the significant price rises not sure we will be able to return again at this time of year.

Great winter break

We stayed here for a 3 night winter break. Great holiday lodge in a great park in a great location. The lodge was comfortable and clean. Hot tub was a real bonus at the end of a long cold walk. Fantastic Lodge!

Had a fab short stay here. The lodge was spotless and had all the essentials you needed. Nice and cosy with the boiler on! Hot Tub was amazing!! Overall really pleased and would highly recommend. Lovely stay

Sorry for the delay review, I had spent 4 nights at Lakeland view lodge in March, this is lovely place. Very clean, morden and comfortable, especially the outside hot tab provided a relax time in the cold rainny day. Thank you for the owner provided such nice place. Wonderful stay in wonderful accommodation

Our stay here just before the Easter weekend was an unplanned break. We decided to stay here as we come to the Lakes every year and this year we brought our kids with us. Usually we plump for a very expensive and lush hotel however, we decided to stay in a lodge after having an excellent time in one in the Dales. We were super impressed with the decoration and the hot tub, of course, was excellent even though it rained every time we used it! Sadly we didn't have much time to explore the park so we didn't go the the pub onsite. We will most certainly be looking to return, and for longer. Relaxing weekend

The location was stunning, the accommodation was exactly as advertised and more. Our only niggle was we had good weather (not complaining) but the lodge didn't have any outdoor furniture. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Relaxation in the hot tub

This was probably the best Lodge we have stayed in, extremely well presented, modern and well equipped. Thoroughly enjoyed the wet room and hot tub. The little touches of tea, coffee, biscuits etc and little packs of soaps in bathrooms were great. We will definitely be returning. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The Lodge (decor & cleanliness) were great! The location (Troutbeck) sells itself. 2 key areas that let it down compared to other lodge sites I've visited, 1 - lack of privacy. Too many lodges have been crammed into the space making the ambiance more akin to a standard caravan park than a lodge retreat. 2 - Bar staff in the on site pub need to up their charm skills. My partner booked this lodge for our anniversary and I was gobsmacked at how beautiful this lodge was when we stepped inside. Super clean, super modern felt at home as soon as we got there. Wonderful weekend break

We had a wonderful weekend, the lodge was beautiful, great location, Limefitt Park was perfect, very quiet and relaxing. The Lodge was beautifully furnished and smelt wonderful! A wonderfully luxurious retreat in the Lakes!

A really lovely lodge which is equipped to a high standard and contains everything you could possibly need. It felt like a little home from home but even better as there is a hot tub outside your bedroom door!! We had a fantastic 7 day stay at Lakeland lodge. The Lodge was absolutely perfect in everyway and we will definitely be staying in the lodge again. We were at Limefit with 2 other couples who had separate lodges and they both agreed that ours was far superior to there's. Mainden visit to beutiful Lake district

The location is quite nice away from the crowds, still not too far. The facilities are excellent, mainly the hot tubs which we liked the most. The beckside 2 in lakeland view is a nice new built property, one fault I discovered is when you switch on any light or electrical appliances, the DVD player as well the TV get reset and it seems there is some short circuit in the property. The landlord did come to sort the problem out. but the problem was not resolved as the DVD player gets reset whenever any switch is put on. What did you enjoy most about your stay? WOW

We had a fantastic stay in the Lakeland View Lodge. It is the best lodge that we have stayed in. The lodge was supplied with towels for the hot tub although it did state to take them with you. There is also a hairdryer in the master bedroom which is not stated. It had everything you would need, home from home. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Wheelchair accessible holiday let

This well-kept holiday lodge is great if you have children or are ambulatory disabled (eg use a walking stick). The gentle sloping ramp instead of stepped access is handy, and the large walk-in shower is a great bonus. If you, like me, are a (power) wheelchair user you might want to be aware of the following: - you'll need to pack your own portable ramp to overcome the c2" step up to any of the doors - you'll need to pack your own shower seat if you aren't able to stand for a shower and don't want to sit on the floor. - there are no grab rails in either the bathroom or the en-suite and the heated towel rails are in the location where you might expect a grab rail, which could pose a hazard if you're using them half asleep in the middle of the night and are used to grab rails at home! - As I can walk a few steps I found it helpful to put the shower chair in the en-suite next to the sink, this made this loo usable for me - its too small to take a wheelchair. If you can't walk at all you'd need to use the main bathroom and (as the sink is a long way from the loo) probably transfer back to your chair before washing your hands. - the kitchen is small - I could get to the fridge and the sink, but would have struggled to use the oven. There isn't much storage space below the work surfaces for putting your food etc, if you can't reach the wall cupboards. I recommend bringing an able-bodied person with you and getting them to be the cook ;) - the car parking space is mid-depth gravel at the end nearest the road, and seems to get deeper as you go back. I had to be 'dug out' a couple of times. - the site is on the side of a proper lake district hill and, as a result, the route to the on-site reception / shop and especially the on-site pub involves a steep slope in places. The reception / shop has a concrete ramp and is accessible but the counter is a good height for tall people stood up, not for shorter people including children and wheelchair users. - If you self-propel you'll probably need a push to get up the extremely steep concrete 'ramp' to access the beer garden of the pub. The front entrance is inaccessible due to steps, so you'll have to go this way to get in. Once you're in, there are some inaccessible bits but there's plenty of areas you can use. If you're sensitive to chemicals / cleaning products, its probably worth saying the owners must have shares in plug-in air fresheners. There were four(!) in this 2 bedroom lodge, and the smell was overpowering. Even though we turned them off and opened lots of windows, it took several days for their smell to reduce to a more normal level! For me, this was a pretty accessible holiday lodge but I'd say its not actually wheelchair accessible unless you're able to make do without grab rails and can bring some kit with you. I think it was worth the effort and, as I couldn't find much in the way of accessible Lake District holiday lets, its likely we'll be back at some point in the future. Perfect location, great accommodation and views, amazing weather

We couldn't have asked for a better week. Everything was perfect (except phone/internet service) but it was good to get away from all that anyway, to truly relax. The hot tub was ideal for this. I found the Lake District guide books provided to be immensely useful and I used them to plan our daily outings. I would highly recommend this place. It's a great base for exploring the Lakes! Stayed here as a couple just before Christmas and couldn't have asked for any more. Gorgeous lodge, very clean and modern! Would absolutely recommend to others; the hot tub was fantastic (took a while to heat up in really cold weather but still a gorgeous feature of the lodge). We will be back!

Lovely short break

We stayed at Lakeland View, Limefitt Park for 2 nights on a short honeymoon break. Staff at the booking office went out of their way to help, organising flowers to be delivered to the lodge even though their offices were officially closed over New Year. Reception staff at the park were extremely helpful and the lodge itself was excellent.

Amazing lodge!

Lakeland view was a wonderful place to say with our two young children. As soon as we unlocked the door and went inside we knew it was exceptionally clean and of a very high standard. The decking area with gate around the lodge was fantastic, allowing our children to play while we knew they were safe and couldn't wander off. The bi-fold doors on the front of the lodge made the place so airy and they were wonderful in the warm weather. Although the park itself is not too big, Lakeland View was in a brilliant location for the play park and splash pool (good idea to take surf shoes or crocs - our kids loved this!) Short stay at Lakeland View

On entering the lodge it was " WOW this is a gorgeous lodge", Hot tub was brilliant after long walks, weather was lovely which made it a better stay. We enjoyed every minute we had there, the Haybarn pub which was on the site was friendly and served lovely meals. We even enquired about staying longer because we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted to do, but it was booked up which didn't surprise me. Very comfortable and well appointed lodge

Staying at Lakeland View (29th July to 5th August) was a very enjoyable experience. The park is very well positioned. It was nicely out of the way but, despite that, Windermere and Bowness are just a few minutes away, as is the local Booths, a very good local supermarket. The lodge was very clean and in excellent condition and was very comfortable to stay in. It was certainly welcoming to return at the end of a long tiring day. We enjoyed using the hot tub (especially my daughter). We would definitely stay again. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Visit to Beatrix Potter's cottage (Hill Top). This involved taking a ferry accross Windermere, a bus to Hill Top and then walking back and finally a ferry back accross Windermere. A lovely family break.

When we arrived the lodge was immaculate and smelt lovely and clean which was a good start. There was everything we could possibly need in the kitchen even down to washing up liquid and kitchen roll, I thought this was a lovely touch and made us settle in very quickly. The rooms were lovely and decorated to a really high quality especially the bathrooms. The hot tub was lovely to come back to after a long day out doing activities. Lakeland Review

With myself and my partner being wheelchair users, I was slightly apprehensive about the lodge having enough room for us to get around. It was however, very spacious, and the fact there was a wet room/larger shower it made things much easier. The lodge was exceptionally clean and had so many little extras to make it an even better stay e.g. wide selection of movies, brochures and leaflets for days out, even ice for our drinks! We came, along with other family members over 3 large lodges for my husbands 30th and cannot fault 1 bit. Service from initial contact to book til aftrr the stay has been brilliant and very informative. The lodges themselves were very modern, clean and well maintained. Limefitt park is outstanding with breathe taking views from the lodges and on the walks around and beyond the site. Short distance to the town were you can hop on buses or boats to the other towns with guides telling the historic information of certain spots/buildings along the way. The tranquil week

My partner and I were looking forward to a week of indulgent rest and relaxation and that is exactly what we got. As we opened the door to this spectacular lodge, we were greeted with homely, comforting smells. The lodge was 5*, no doubt about it. It's well equipped and it was super clean. Thanks to the rainy weather (only two bad days) we got to spend some quality time relaxing in the stunning surrounds of this luxury lodge, and we didn't feel guilty about doing so as it was too wet to walk. The hot tub was a god send ... loved it and I miss is madly, ha ha. We could have lived the rest of our lives in that lodge. We both enjoyed a week we will not forget. A beautiful lodge equipped to the highest of standards. Cleanliness and fragrance impressed when first entering the lodge. Wonderful family holiday

We stayed for a week at Lakeland View (Limefitt) in July 2017, our first time at this park, but we've stayed in the area before. The lodge is beautifully maintained, decorated to a high standard and full of little comforts and luxuries. Just the small things like washing up liquid, kitchen roll and tin foil provided was very thoughtful! With 3 tv's in this lodge there was no arguing over what to watch when we settled to the evening. Also, a lovely collection of dvd's when we chose to stay in one night. The hot tub was a welcome treat after walking around town, villages, forests and the various attractions in the area. The on site pub is friendly and welcoming and the staff were always chatty and helpful. Beautiful views from the beer garden if you get the weather too! I've marked the cleanliness as 4/5, only because (due to my curious 3 year old) we found out that behind the sofa had clearly not been cleaned for a good while. This was surprising given that the top of the bathroom cabinets and the wardrobe were all cleaned (I didn't go looking for dirt I was proving to my husband how GOOD the cleanliness was haha). I'd definitely return and would strongly recommend both Limefitt and this particular lodge! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Limefitt is a beautiful tranquil and welcoming park. The Campbells Minimoon!

We have stayed on limefitt park previously as well as the other parks in windermere, but we thought as returning for our mini-moon that we would go to the one with the best surroundings.... Lakeland view is very highly maintained and we could not fault a single thing with our stay, hot tub outside the door is ideal, with LED lighting outdoors makes a lovely setting on an evening. One of the best lodges we have stayed in so far! The park is ideal along with the staff in the pub at the top..... They make your meal in the pub something special and entertain the young ones. We loved every thing about the experience.The Cabin /Chalet definitely lived up to our expectations. Great break

Lovely lodge which was well equipped for our stay. Relaxing in the hot tub looking up at the stars - amazing! Location of the lodge was ideal as we seemed to be central to lots of towns, lakes and attractions. Everything from booking the lodge to checking out was straightforward and we received text messages with additional information regarding weather warnings of high winds. 5* - We will definitely be back!!

We decided to book this lodge as a little getaway for our anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations! We could not fault a single thing about the Lakeland View lodge, or Limefitt Park! We travelled from North Wales and arrived rather late on the Friday night, so we were both extremely tired and hungry. When we entered the lodge for the first time, we were hit with the lovely scent of home. What striked us first was how unbelieveably clean the lodge was, and how homely it felt with such a lovely open plan kitchen and living area. Of course the most amazing part of the whole experience in Lakeland View was the hot tub! An amazing addition to the already lovely lodge, which really gave it a relaxing feel. The hot tub was amazing to use after spending the weekend mornings exploring the local areas of Windermere and Kendal! The lodge also supplied all the things you would need for an enjoyable week/weekend away. Myself and my partner also loved how secluded and serene Limefitt Park was, but at the same time how close it was to Windermere, Kendal and Troutbeck; allowing us the time to relax in a peaceful enviroment, but also explore the local areas! The staff in Limefitt were also extremely helpful, always aiming to help when possible; the night time security guard especially, who ensured that (after our long drive to the park) the kitchen in the Haybarn Inn would take our food order despite it being past closing time. It was also very nice to be greeted whenever we entered the Haybarn Inn by the lovely barmaid. We would definitely recommend: The Haybarn Inn, which is onsite, for a lovely, warm atmosphere and scrumptious food! We'd also recommend the Ship Inn at Windermere, which is on the lake front - they serve delicious food after using your energy exploring the area! One lovely activity we enjoyed was hiring out a small boat to take on to Lake Windermere, which was a lot of fun for someone who had never been in a boat, never mind driven one before! I always pay as much as I can afford so I know I'm getting quality - this didn't disappoint.

Like the title says - pay a little bit more but get a lot more in return as we did. We went as a group of 3 families all with lodges near each other, this one (in my opionion) was by far the best of the three. It had a luxuary feel to it, it was larger than our friends Ines, it was cleaner even as far as the decked area which made a massive difference when you have kids playing out there, it wasn't slippy when the other ones was. The lodge has everything you will need and it's in a good location. If we go back to limefit (no reason not to) them we would book this again. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Excellent weekend break

From arrival to leaving staff working at the park were friendly, approachable and helpful. The lodge we stayed in was modern, upkeep excellent, would recommend to friends and family, will be returning, hot tub added bonus. Fantastic weekend away, can't wait to return!

Visited the lodge for a weekend away with a few girl friends, and we all left desperate to book again! The lodge is in a perfect location, it's easy enough to get to via car but far enough into the hills that you really feel the peace and quiet, and the views are fabulous. We were lucky we visited the week after all the snow however, as we were a little concerned we'd struggle to get to the site if the weather had been as bad as the weekend before! As soon as we arrived we felt at home; despite the rain outside the heating was quick to warm up and the lodge was stocked with all the amenities we could ask for, including teabags, coffee and hot chocolate. The furnishings are modern and chic, the bathrooms were spotless (love the stonework around the shower!), and the hot tub was a fabulous - and much appreciated - addition to the break! We cooked for ourselves each morning and one night, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals in. The lodge had lots of useful leaflets for trips out in the local area, lists of restaurants and takeaways nearby, several DVDS and TV for when the weather isn't that great, and overall it provided everything you could require for a short break. We only spent two nights here but wished we'd had longer, and we would definitely return in the future! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Fabulous Family Mini Break

I booked this lodge as a surprise for my Husbands Birthday. It was our first holiday as a family of four with our 5 year old and 7 month old. Having not stayed in a lodge previously and not having had my husbands input I was nervous about what we might arrive too but as soon as we arrived all of that worry disappeared! Great value/location

We really enjoyed staying in this lodge, the hot tub was amazing and clean as was the lodge it's self. The location was only a 15 minute drive to tourist spots. There was also a selection of leaflets and guides for the perfect days out. However, my only issue being the bed was abit small for the two of us so we lacked sleep abit and some of the cutlery wasnt cleaned propperly by previous guest so had to clean it ourselves again before using. We had a wonderful week in the lodge. Everything was so clean , comfortable and luxurious and we all loved the hot tub ! We would definitely come back for another visit. We loved the lodge

It was our first time at Limefit and we loved this modern, well equipped and immaculate lodge. The location was quiet and the site very dog friendly. We appreciated the privacy glass around the hot tub. Personally I found the mattress a little too firm but that comes down to personal choice. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Amazing Stay

The lodge was beautiful. There was a new sofa delivered on the day of our stay so it was great to be the first person to enjoy it. Hot tub was so relaxing and stayed hot. Everything was clean. Only downside was it was very hot and stuffy in the lodge especially in the bedrooms making it too hot to sleep. We had all the windows open through the day but wasps were getting in all the time. We stayed at Lakeland View Lodge for a spell of rest and relaxation in beautiful surroundings and we were not disappointed. Had a lovely midweek break in this beautiful lodge, it was very clean & extremely well equipped , the walk in showers were perfect for my elderly parents. Just spent the full two week xmas holidays with my family here. We have stayed at this lodge before and it was owned by different owners. We had a fantastic time Limefitt park where the lodge is situated is awesome. The lodge itself is fantastic well equipped and has everything you need. Only bit of advice i would give is in my opinion a dishwasher is a must. And also the some better mattresses as they were very poor. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Pleasant stay

We enjoyed our stay in Lake View Lodge. Very modern lodge and great hot tub but just not as homely as other lodges we have stayed in. The lodge could do with bigger beds (Son fell out two nights running), WiFi and a smart tv. Also in a very busy spot on the park so always someone walking past and looking in. We love visiting Limefitt Park, visit twice a year but not as relaxing as other visits. Staff in the Haybarn are lovely and good food. We will be back to Limefitt. Excellent break away at Limefitt Park. Lodge was just like the photos on the internet. The lodge was very clean. Bathroom and bedrooms were lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to cook breakfast, snacks and meals. Added bonus tin foil,washing up liquid, plenty of loo roll. The hot tub was a real bonus it is in a secluded spot and right outside master bedroom. Only issue for my family, son not happy with slow internet connection What did you enjoy most about your stay? Perfect lodge

Lakeland View Lodge is in a perfect position close to the entry to the park. It has plenty of outdoor space, with a wrap-around balcony, seating area and hot tub, which we really enjoyed during the heatwave when we were there. The inside of the lodge is bright, light and deceptively spacious, containing everything you could possibly need. The decor is modern and attractive. An added bonus is the en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom and the spacious walk-in shower in the large main bathroom. It was great to be able to use the patio doors in the master bedroom to access the hot tub too! We loved this lodge and will definitely stay there again. Being dog friendly is a huge bonus and the gate at the top of the access ramp meant that the outdoor area was secure for our dog to explore. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The hot tub. Excellent Stay on a Beautiful Park

It was our first time staying at Limefitt Park and we were not disappointed. From booking to arriving to leaving it all went very smoothly no hassle. The lodge we stayed in was beautifully presented, clean and equipped with everything you needed, and I mean everything! It was like a home from home. Location of this lodge is ideal, not too far from the reception and shop area and not too far to the dog walking field and kids playground, all took a minute to 2 minutes to walk too. The Haybarn pub on-site is lovely, plenty of space both inside and out, seats spaced out very well, friendly staff and the food is lovely at a reasonable cost, not overpriced at all. Fabulous Park and Lodge

Beautiful, modern lodge, ideally located near entrance to park. Great to access hot tub from main bedroom, and very relaxing after a day out sightseeing/shopping. Main bathroom had fabulous walk-in shower and underfloor heating. The park itself was surrounded by lovely mountains and scenery and was a short drive to Windermere and nearby locations. FAB WEEK AWAY

We stayed for a week at the end of September - we have stayed in a few lodges over the last few years and have to say that this lodge was really nice - we found the lodge spacious with top end quality furnishings throughout including the bi folding doors in the living room which were fab to open on a nice day and just sit and look at the view from the lodge - the hot tub is nicely secluded but great just off the bedroom - we used the hot tub every day which was such a luxury to have. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen has an amazing oven - loved the location of our lodge as it was very close to the entrance, close to where we could walk the dog in the dog walking part with access to the stream which he loved. Limefitt Park as well is the most idyllic place to just relax and enjoy being in the lakes - the pub at the top is fabulous as well with such great pleasant staff - we will definitely be booking again next year. Lakeland lodge review

Lovely clean and spacious lodge also in a great location. Hot tub was a great added bonus, unfortunately we had booked for 5 nights over new year and our holiday was cut short after 2 days due to Cumbria being put into Tier 4 which was very disappointing as i had an Asda order delivered the pervious day and we had to throw alot of it away as we couldnt fit it all in the car to take it home. 3rd stay in the lakes - Lakeland View Lodge

This was our third time to visit the Lake District and our 2nd time staying at Limefitt Park. Limefitt for us is our favourite park, it is in a great location to walk the dog and is just a 10 min drive from Windermere centre and 15 mins from Bowness on Windermere (the lake) which again, provides a perfect setting for exploration with self drive electric boats to hire and plenty to see and do. The lodge was perfect for us, it was spacious, comfortable, clean and modern fitted with all the amenities needed and fully functional. There was plenty of storage and the direct access to the hot tub from master French doors was convenient. The lodge was lovely and cosy and warm. There was public WiFi connection which as this lodge was closer to the main reception it was easier to connect to as opposed to the lodge we staid at previously.
