“The lodge was perfectly located and well equipped.”

Hot tub was clean and ready for use and size of lodge was perfect for our stay. Club house and facilities were small but perfect for what was needed and staff were super helpful. WiFi is terrible but that didn’t bother us too much. WiFi is terrible but that didn’t bother us too much. The one major thing that let it down was the cleanliness, there was a damp, dirty towel in the wardrobe, the towels that were provided smelt of damp, cobwebs in all corners of the rooms with spiders in them. Pots, pans and crockery were dirty and the frying pans were literally full of grease and in the cupboard. We washed every single item before using. The floor was sticky, hoover hadn’t been emptied and inside the blinds was so filthy you could scrape the muck out. The place was cleaner when we left than it was when we got there. It’s really a shame that such a lovely lodge is not being cared for and maintained properly. Overall we rated it a 4 star because of the size of the lodge and the location, the park Dean resort is small but perfect and the kids absolutely loved it. However we should not have had to clean the whole place and all the pots and pans to feel safe for use with small children and a baby.
