Langdale Lodge

The lodge was lovely and spacious, well kept and clean.

During our stay the temperature was over 30 degrees, so it was great to have decking areas at the front and side of the lodge so we could move out of the intense heat of the sun. The 2 parasols were much appreciated too! We did use the hot tub in the evenings, it was very clean and we did see the hot tub being emptied on our departure. Many thanks for the bottle of bubbly, a nice touch!

Had a wonderful stay, perfect location, lodge is stunning and lovely bottle of fizz waiting for us.

WiFi was great too! Only issue was no water pressure in the mornings so we could not shower, which I believe is a site issue rather than the lodge. Didn’t bother us to much and otherwise fabulous week thanks

We had a lovely stay at the lodge.

It was clean and comfortable and although we had two issues with the heating and water, they were quickly resolved to our satisfaction. The hot tub was a great addition to enjoy after our long walks through the day. We will visit again one day and would recommend to others!

As a family of 6 with 2 dogs we had a brilliant time.

Fantastic lodge in a wonderful location of the park. It was modern and clean. Well stocked kitchen with all the appliances you need. Only negative was the water pressure. It was so low it caused problems with the heating. Also shower was hit and miss due to the pressure. In the mornings there was no water due to the demand on the site.

VERY DISAPPOINTED To say the property had been cleaned was a joke.

The toilets both smelled of stale urine, dog hairs in the washer developed a rash on my face and neck. If you like cold showers then please book this property we complained twice to reception the 1st time they 2 chaps from site maintenance turned up and did not have a clue what they were looking at.the problem was the water pressure as I suggested..it wasn't enough for the boiler to ignite for hot water. Only on the odd occasion did this work. Early morning and evenings forget it..the 2nd occasion they called a water utilitys company out, they came smoked 3 cigarettes and then went.left with no feed back at all so we gave up and resorted to cold showers. I spent over £1000 on this and I feel I ve been robbed of my money.so no I won't be booking again. Regards Ian.

What a lovely lodge!

It was spotless! Dispite allowing dogs in we couldn’t smell dog at all. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The prosecco left was lovely. Rooms were a decent size and cotbed and high chair were left as requested. Hot tub was great. Only thing i would say is the noise from it if your in the room next to it may annoy some people. Beds were a little on the small side, however completely understand for the size of the room. Was great having 2 bathrooms. The lodge was is a perfect area and the details given to get their etc were perfect. The children’s entertainment at night was great and loved by my little girl. We would definitely recommend this lodge.

The Lodge is in a lovely section of the park and the photos and description are very accurate.

The lodge did not smell of dogs and we didn't see stray doghairs from previous hairy residents. The beds were very comfortable and the towels nice and white. Lots of additional things were left in the Lodge which was nice:- hand soap, washing up liquid, paper towels, toilet paper and a bottle of prosecco (nice gesture). If l am being truthful there was some dirty marks here and there on walls and doors and stains on the carpet. We didn't mind, it felt lived in. The only negative which did impact us was the hot tub. There was only a single step platform, so getting in and out of the tub is difficult for more mature people and I suspect anyone who is of shorter stature. I checked around the park and all other hot tubs l saw had 2 steps, which would have been much easier and safer to use. The tub is checked daily and drained at the end of your stay. You will definitely enjoy your stay in the lodge.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at langdale lodge.

The lodge is very clean and comfortable and well equipped. It is in a quiet cul de sac not far from the play park and clubhouse and there is a lovely walk down to the lake. Enjoyed the hot tub. Would stay again.

The prosecco on arrival is a lovely gesture. The bedrooms are on the smaller side, though this wasn't a problem for us, plenty of space in the main living area. Kitchen was well equipped. Hot tub is a great addition to this lodge especially after a day of walking! Only small problem we had whilst we were there was the WiFi was down the first night but we asked at reception and they had, had problems all week, they advised us the wifi should be back up and running and if it wasnt then they would send someone round, but to be honest it wasn't the end of the world. We would stay here again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The property was in a great position and very well equipped.

We had a problem with the hot tub which was resolved very quickly. We would definitely stay there again.

What a lovely cosy & comfortable lodge and in a good position on the park.

Tucked away in the corner and short walk to the pub ! Very clean & welcoming. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped with all that you will need. We had the weather on our side as well so enjoyed walks down to the lake. Also enjoyed the added bonus of the hot tub. The only little niggle and is only a very little niggle was the shower in the main bathroom was only luke warm. Did not impact our stay at all as we all used the en-suite shower. Can’t wait to book again.

Had a four night stay at the Langdale Lodge.

The lodge was clean and tidy, the lounge\kitchen was comfortable and spacious. Those are the positives but unfortunately there were a number of negatives. (1) The main TV is on the way out and needs replacing, 2/3 of the screen the pixels/screen are blue compared to the left hand side. (2) The bed was uncomfortable with the springs digging in our backs. Had to use the divert from other bed to lie on to make the mattress comfortable. (3) The temperature control in en-suite shower needs replacing. Hardly moves so you have the option of scolding hot or very hot. (4) The park is very nosy with large vehicles driving up and down the roads at all hours. On our second night we had a fuel truck filling up outside our bedroom window for 45 mins and didn’t leave until nearly 11pm. The hot tub is also outside the bedroom window so it comes on periodically through out the night to heat the water which wakes you up if your a light sleeper. Shame these things happened some avoidable while others unavoidable, this was the first and last time I’d book this park.

Absolutely loved everything about our stay at Langdale Lodge 21.

The lodge was exactly as described, if not better. Sofas and beds very comfy, lodge very warm and cozy and hot tub a real treat after a long day of hiking. As someone who loves to cook, I also found the kitchen to be so well equipped and a great large space. We can't wait to come back next year! Thanks :)

Lovely lodge.

Spotless and very warm Xmas tree was a welcome touch. Slightly small bedrooms and not a lot of storage for 4 ladies !! Would def book again Well equipped kitchen with all you need. Lovely and airy Would highly recommend

Lovely lodge with really good hot tub!

WiFi was also great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here- the lodge is modern, clean and well maintained. The bottle of prosecco was a nice gesture that made us feel welcome.

For a start it is very difficult to contact Sykes cottage customer service, there is no email contact on the website, and only an automated phone line.

Only managed to get an answer by using Facebook (I was being charged extra for no reason)! When I booked I had no idea this was a Dean Park resort, which I wouldn't have booked if I knew! As soon as the full payment was made, a full list of instruction and restriction was forwarded to me! That was before I even got there. Ie Wifi advertised but then being told it's only enough to read emails.... When we arrived, (in the freezing lodge), the lodge next to ours was having work done and our relaxing holiday started with banging and drilling noises ! But It's in the T&Cs; .... so no compensation! There was little instructions in the lodge, the fridge wasn't closing but after a call to maintenance I was told to remove the big bottles. If they knew about it, why not put in a note? The lodge was spacious and clean just not very private which is deceiving on the pictures.

We had an amazing week in this beautiful lodge,I always worry on my way to a holiday about cleanliness but when we walked in this made my day the lodge was extremely clean and had everything in that was needed for the week we were staying.

The location is really good where the lodge is situated so we could relax in hotub with nobody walking past loved every minute thank you

Beautiful Lodge, has everything needed for a wonderful holiday.

The only issue we had was that the highchair had not been cleaned and the strapping was still very dirty after several attempts to clean it. For hygiene reasons we felt it was unusable and so we had to purchase a baby seat. However the Lodge and Park were fabulous.

Beautiful lodge, maintenance came to clean hottub everyday, spotless inside with a lovely bottle of Prosecco left.

Only downfall beds were a little small but apart from that lovely stay and definitely thinking of returning.

As returning guests we found the lodge to be perfect for us as a family of 6 and 2 dogs , the only improvement that I would like to see would be more coat hooks / facilities for hanging bags and dressing gowns etc in the bathrooms and bedrooms, there is plenty of general storage space but no coat hooks .

The lodge was amazing.

Hot Tub perfect. It was all beautifully presented for our arrival. Beds were a tiny bit uncomfortable but apart from that I could not fault it at all. Would loved to have been there a week!

Lovely stay in The Lakes.

Lodge great location midway between Ambleside and Windermere. Situated on Lake Windermere with frequent bus services adjacent to the Park. The lodge was located at the end of a non through road which made its position ideal. Side terrace also faced the sun :-) Lodge was large and well equipped - thank you. Also a welcome bottle of fizz got the break started well. Table and chairs externally with cushions. Also liked the planters on the terrace which made it feel homely. Whilst the lodge was clean a few areas hadn’t been cleaned : wind ledges, crumps on chairs and under breakfast counter. Only minor and caused no issues. Also radiator thermostat broken which we reported. Hot tub was checked twice daily and very enjoyable. Would recommend and visit again. Pictures on website did reflect lodge inside. Thank you Nigel

This lodge is perfect in every way and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay feel special.

The lodge was spotless and spacious.

It was well equipped and had everything we needed. Parking for 2 cars and the hot tub was fab. We had the pleasure of 9 inch of snow during our stay and the lodge was perfect so cosy! Walked into bowness around 3 mile although there is a bus outside. This wasn’t running due to the snow! We did have trouble with the hot water being temperamental - boiler pressure seemed off. Also the tv remote think this needs new batteries. Other than this a 1000/10 stay thank you so much and thanks for the finishing touches with the Christmas tree etc!!

Was exactly like the pictures, clean and everything provided for.

Hot tub worked perfectly and was checked every day by maintenance. We couldn’t get the boiler working at first so we flagged down one of the maintenance men and they came and sorted it in 5 minutes. Nice and quiet holiday park, there’s a shop on site and a bar, restaurant etc. Would definitely come here again and recommend for families, couples, or friends :)

absolutely lovely place, well equipped and very comfortable.

There was a bit of a dog smell ( none of us has dogs so it was probably more noticeable to us than other people) and we found a dog toy down the back of the couch ( we have left it there) wouldn't put us off going again though.

The cabin was gorgeous, really spacious and had all of the amenities you would need for a comfortable holiday.

The lodge was clean, tidy and comfortable, easy access to local amenities via the bus which runs every 20 minutes we have stayed in the lodge a couple of times now and will be returning ☺️

Excellent site, good facilities.

I raised two issues with the maintenance team namely sink in main bathroom draining when plug was down and dvd not working reported this on the Wednesday no one turned up for the whole stay.

We spent three days in the lodge and it was just perfect, apart from the weather!

The Lodge is very clean, well laid out, spacious, well equipped and nicely furnished. We would definitely rent again.

Great property that I’d definitely book again.

The lodge was really clean and tidy and looked as good if not better than the pictures, often you arrive to find the pictures are from some time ago but this was not the case. We took supplies with us but it was really useful to have things like hand soap and washing up liquid available. The bedrooms are compact as they are in all the lodges but there was plenty of wardrobe space so great for clothes and storing bags et. The lodge is at the end of a cul de sac with parking for two cars and is easy to find and a two minute walk back to the restaurant and bar. We used to App to order food and drink and it was a little slow to be delivered but not as bad as some have said. There’s also a couple of playgrounds for the kids.

We have been travelling here for 7 years.

Our usual lodge was not available so we chose this one. Everything was lovely and clean, great location to Clubhouse. Lots of issues on site due to the cold weather and pipes freezing but we experienced none of these. Lodge was lovely and warm and nicely decorated for Christmas.. Bedrooms are quite small but adequate. Not a lot of storage. We would def stay here again. There is still not enough staff in the Clubhouse, which is the same every year. The hours changed on our last day so we could not get breakfast. This should have been communicated to guests. Will be booking again for next year. Thanks

Location fantastic, hot tub maintenance/ service great.

Lodge wasn’t very clean, fridge is broken it doesn’t cool to temperature so some food was ruined. No WiFi working or phone signal, this is the sites WiFi so not in the lodges control where other lodges have their own, I think it shouldn’t be advertised with WiFi when it’s not their own you use. (If this makes sense) No site WiFi has been going on for months apparently. Needs darker curtains in main bedroom. Site really good, location perfect.

Yes definitely you both need feedback, particularly the owners.

Reason for visit: Daughter, husband, 2 grandchildren, my husband and myself celebrating my husbands birthday. 1. Advertised as a new lodge 2020. Bearing in mind Lockdown, we expected this lodge to be immaculate. The owners have provided everything and beyond so extremely pleased re. there side. Initial first walk in, wow what a lovely lodge. However the carpets throughout the lodge were extremely badly stained and the cleaning standard very poor which personally I feel not acceptable and completely let the lodge down. Skirting boards, backs of toilets, Venetian blinds and inside showers not acceptable. A tissue and a makeup brush under two beds from previous customers. I have taken photographs if needed. Towels, bedding, bath mats all excellent. 2. The fridge/freezer is a great size, unfortunately the freezer was so iced up you couldn’t open 2 of the drawers. I ended up using a knife to ‘hack off’ the ice to allow to open. The fridge was definitely not getting to temperature (too warm). 3. Oven needs a good clean, although I have seen worse. 4. Pedal bin did have a bin liner in but had not been cleaned out underneath and smelt terrible with bits of garbage stuck to the bottom. 5. Hot and cold water temperature varies very hot/cold in shower - be mindful with little ones. Kettle used constantly for hot water in the kitchen as very little hot available. 6. The lodge is advertised as having wi-if - NO Wi-fi whatsoever therefore NO access to Netflix etc 7. Trees to one side of the lodge need cutting back - extremely dark on 2 bedrooms. The lodge is in a lovely quite, private location. 8. The hot tub was fantastic and the decking very clean! 9. The general site facilities were not used by us apart from the swimming pool and outdoor play area with our grandchildren 5 and 7. Unfortunately everyone was called out of the pool at the same time and the changing rooms were absolutely chaotic… not enough cubicles or areas to dry. Mum and dad’s with babies had no where to sort themselves, we all ended trying to get dressed on the very wet floor on top of each other, parents were complaining to each other say how ridiculous it was calling everyone out at the same time. In future we would realise to get out 15 mins before the end of the swimming session. The toilets need checking far more frequently, dirty, wet through and no toilet paper. 10. The grounds and woodland walk beautiful and the site is in a excellent location. 11. SO, we feel the lodge should be advertised in more detail what it provides. We personally took far too many kitchen items with us when in fact the owner had thought and provided absolutely everything! Overall for £2300+ for one week we would expect better cleanliness and wi-fi. Having said all that we did enjoy our holiday.

The lodge was very nice and in a good location which offered more privacy compared to others around.

the WiFi was not available inside the lodge and also mobile reception was very poor, which was quite frustrating. One thing I would highly recommend for these kind of properties is installing an instant hot water tap like the Voca Fresh. I have one of these at home and I think it would be super suitable for this accommodation. We had to go and fetch bottled water a few times which was quite frustrating and also the kettle was running non-stop with six of us. I think you should check Voca Fresh out, you can thank me later :)

overall a very enjoyable holiday however a few little niggles no wifi at all despite reporting to reception and very poor telephone signal, when we consider our holidays we have to consider our responsibilities and internet use is part of that, had we have known we would not have booked this lodge also the water pressure was very poor, we had two couples and two teenage girls so ensured we had two bathrooms the pressure was so bad we could only use one at a time, in fact we couldn't even use the kitchen tap while someone was in the shower again we ensured we had two bathrooms as we knew our needs but may as well have booked one the majority of our holiday was away from the lodge so we had a great time, the lodge however was not as advertised

Langdale Lodge is beautifully presented in a wonderful location.

A really lovely lodge set in a beautiful sunny spot.

Everything we needed for our four night stay was at our disposal and would certainly have no hesitation in returning to or recommending Langdale Lodge to friends.

Great lodge, would return, good locatiom and ammenities.

Langdale 21 is a lovely lodge and cannot be faulted however any form of relaxation during this holiday was ruined due to the awful, constant noise of banging from diggers, dumper trucks and lorries beeping coming from opposite the lodge 7:30-17:00 every week day.

The whole purpose of this holiday was to have a break from a stressful working life and enjoy my Birthday but instead I have paid just under £1000 to stay next door to a building site. Again no idea why Park Dean deem it acceptable to conduct building work during Holiday season, we couldn’t even spend a day at the lodge relaxing reading a book or enjoying the hot tub because of the constant noise. I scored average for the cleanliness of the lodge as when we arrived it didn’t look like it had been vacuumed properly and after going over the lodge with the vacuum myself it looked a lot cleaner than from when we first arrived. It may be worth just spot checking to ensure the cleaning service the lodge owners are paying for is being delivered.

This was our first time at staying at 21 langdale lodge at white cross bay, our first impressions when we walked in was ‘wow’.

The lodge was so spacious and very well kept, ideal for our family of 5. The first thing our children wanted to do was go in the hot tub, unfortunately when we looked at the hot tub it hadn’t been turned on early enough for our arrival and was no where near hot enough for us and the children to use. This meant that it wouldn’t be heated fully until the day after which as you can imagine our children were not very happy with this. Just feel that with the amount of money in which we paid to stay for the 3 nights this should be something in which would be priority as it should be ready to use immediately. Another down side to the lodge is that the Wi-Fi is so poor. You would of thought that with it being so close the main reception/restaurant etc on the park itself it would have better Wi-Fi or at least the owner would sort something out, especially in the modern times. Again having three young children wanting to use technology at certain times when we were in the lodge they couldn’t due to this issue. Overall we can’t fault the cleanliness and the overall look and facilities that were provided in the lodge it really is a gorgeous. Also the complimentary bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. In all i just feel that the Wi-Fi needs to be improved and obviously making sure that the hot tub is to the temperature needed on arrival.

Beautiful lodge, spotlessly clean.

Had everything we needed. Lovely decking area and in the summer would be perfect to sit out. The hot tub was great too. Only criticism was the mattress in the main bedroom was quite uncomfortable. Great location between Windermere and Ambleside. Lots of nice walk to do. Staff in the resort were very helpful too, gave advice on where to gonand which apps to use for good walks with the dogs.

The lodge was absolutely perfect, we had everything we needed for our weekend away.

There was a few little finishing touches that made all the difference. Eg the outside towel hooks for when your in the hot tub. The complimentary bottle of prosecco was absolutely ferfect. The only issue we had was on the last day we had no gas for several hours and it went quite cold. Which was down to white Cross having a problem.

We stayed in the property from Friday to Monday and we had a fantastic time.

The lodge was beautiful and had everything you need and having a christmas tree when we arrived was the icing on cake. The complimentary bottle of proscecco was fab too. I will definitely be booking this lodge again.

Lovely lodge.

Living room, dining room and kitchen were excellent with everything you could possibly need. Bedrooms are a little on the small side. It would be good to have an outside light by the hot tub, as we had to utilise table lamp in bedroom beside it. Nice welcome with the bottle of bubbly. Really love this park and hope to come again.

Absolutely stunning property .

..Absolutely beautiful i booked it for my husband and sons birthday which is the same day...we wil be booking again and I think my friends and family will be too ...beautiful location and amenities fab .. kids dog and husband loved it ...thank you again we had an amazing time .You won't be disappointed ....you will love it .

Good spacious area for six adults well kept clean and tidy.

The utilities are plentiful as everyday items are provided. The lodge is in a very good location and in a quiet area. We fully enjoyed our stay and will rebook again sometime in the future. The Widdop family

The lodge itself was, as always, perfect.

We have stayed in this specific lodge several times now and it feels like a home from home. Always spotless, well presented, with absolutely everything you need for a perfect stay. We can’t wait to return at Christmas! Since moving from LDLH to Sykes, the price has increased significantly, the booking process not as easy, and the customer service no where near as good as previous. This is not a reflection of the lodge or owners- but of the company since changing hands.

Very relaxed and such a lovely area. The lodge was beautiful and very modern. The WiFi didn't work which wasn't great but not the end of the world. Would absolutely go back in a heart beat! Thank you for everything and the lovely bottle of wine that was left for our arrival.

An amazing lodge and a credit to the owners !

We had a wonderful stay at Langdale Lodge and it was 100% true to the advertising pictures, literally home from home the hot tub was amazing and the Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. We had the pressure drop and so reported it and the customer care was spot on they was around to fix the issue within 30 minutes which was first class service. Lots to do around the area and the lodge itself was in a lovely quiet location - we can not praise both the lodge and the customer care team high enough - would most definitely recommend this whole experience 100%

Wi fi at the lodge would not connect although at the club and by the lake was fine ,complimentary bottle of wine was very welcoming on our arrival ,a very enjoyable holiday by all the family .

Me & three friends stayed in Langdale Lodge, absolutely stunning lodge, well equipped with everything you need for your stay.

Weather definitely didn’t stop us from enjoying our holiday, we had rain & sun but still enjoyed our holiday. Lovely surroundings with plenty of amazing walks to go on. Staff were really polite & gave us help when needed. Hot tub was also a highlight of our holiday & even went in it in the rain, was amazing! Will definitely be returning, thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Another excellent break at Langdale Lodge.

Accommodation & lodge facilities are great (both indoors & out). Weather was fantastic & although we were concerned about the high number of visitors in the general Lakes area, we felt very comfortable & safe at the lodge with it's peaceful/quiet location in the park.

The lodge is really lovely very modern and clean.

We had a very comfortable stay in the lodge the only thing I would say is that an extra arm chair in the lounge are would be beneficial as it is quite a tight squeeze for 6 adults to sit on the 2 sofas I would however highly recommend this lodge

Great base for the lakes walks , WiFi very poor !

We have been booking with Lake District Lodge Holidays for years always found them very helpful and prompt service when we needed tk ask a question this year I think things have changed due to covid, I called twice prior to our holiday only to be kept on hold fir 30min on each occasion both times I gave up, in the end I called Parkdean reception at White Cross Bay to ask about booking swimming, only to be told we should of had an email advising us to calm and book swimming slots, so due to this oversite we could not get any slots, which is a shame I wobder if the lodge owner who pays Parkdean rent would of had the same problem, it has been pointed out sykes cottages have taken over the running of Lake District Lodges buisness, i hope this is a 1 off and is not the norm for this company.

We have been to White Cross Bay several times before but this was our first time in a lodge and what a lodge.

Extremely comfortable and spacious is is exactly as described we all loved it. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous stay - I booked this for my mum's 70th Birthday and could not have been happier with the cabin - it was spacious, spotless and very comfortable and a lovely bottle of wine upon arrival!

Such a thoughtful touch. The park was fantastic and all neighbours respectful of each other. Couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be staying again, thank you so much for such a special weekend xx

Great for what we needed!

The lodge was great, clean, homely and just what we needed for our short break. Personal touches were an added bonus, eg toys and games in the cupboard, tea bags and coffee etc. We have a great stay and would defiantly consider for future breaks. Great short break for all the family of all ages. Decorated to a very high standard. Langdale lodge is a lovely modern and spacious lodge which has all the mod cons and amenities. White cross bay is ideally located on windemere in between Ambleside and bowness.

Didn't want to come home

The lodge's pictures' do not do it justice. It is in an ideal place in a beautiful setting. The park's amenities were excellent along with very heplfull staff. We had a training hearing dog with us and the staff were more than happy to let us take him into the bar area. When we had a problem with the cooker in the lodge we had a quick responce and had a replacement table top oven within the same day. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Visiting Grasmere is a must, especially if you have a dog, as Baldry's Tea Room is more than accomodating to them.and has lovely food.

A relaxing break

A comfortable lodge, the new hot tub was a bonus! The park is well situated between Bowness and Ambleside and is right on the edge of the lake, but there are not many local walks or facilities nearby so it is necessary to use the car or take public transport (the Sun Hotel at Troutbeck Bridge is the nearest pub, 15 mins walk away). The only issues were that the double bedroom suffered from a bit from traffic noise from the nearby road (windows are double glazed but the ventilation slots let the noise in!) A dishwasher would have been nice but the amount of space in the kitchen was limited. Bathroom d What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lakeside access and hot tub. We took the launch from the new jetty at Brockhole (next to White Cross Bay) to Ambleside, it made a nice change from using the car.

Our stay at Langdale Lodge

We had always fancied staying in a lodge with a hot tub, this was a cancellation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cabin and hot tub are superb!!! What did you enjoy most about your stay? The Lakes are georgeous and at Whitecross Bay you are in a good position to go on a ramble, which on this occasion we didn't as my husband is not a great walker. if you chose not to drive there are buses to take you and one ticket can be used all day.

Autumn break

An active yet relaxing weekend break with our 16 and 18 years old kids. Lodge and site met our expectations so was pleased with everything. Recent hot tub installation was a pleasant bonus - improvement could be better lighting to it now nights are drawing in and maybe some grip tape on the decking for anti-slip. Allowing our 6 month old dog to stay was a key reason for coming to this Lodge. It was great to be able to walk her a short distance to grass and wooded areas plus the marina shoreline. Although dogs are permitted, it was pleasing not to notice any doggie smell so must be well cleaned/ maintained and well ventilated. We had a lovely stay at the lodge and enjoyed every minute. The hot tub was def a added bonus. The lodge was clean and had everything you needed. Our holiday overall was everything we thought it would be, although the weather could have been kinder, but not much anyone can do about that. I think we were maybe a bit ambitious to book for 2 weeks, maybe next time we will book for a long week-end. The cabin was lovely and the hot tub was amazing. The area was beautiful and the site is very well kept. Our only negative experience was that of a member of staff at the reception and on-site shop, a lady with red hair, who I feel would benefit from some customer service training. A great stay that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing break. Good value for money with plenty to do. I will definitely be returning and can not wait for my next stay. Great Stay!

Stayed at Langdale Lodge with a group of friends, and we were all really impressed with the lodge and the surrounding park. The booking process was easy and all subsequent correspondance was sent through in good time and was very comprehensive in the detail. Check in at reception on the day was very efficient with very friendly and competent staff. The lodge itself was modern, clean and well appointed. The bathroom was good, although the shower was quite tricky to maintain a comfortable temperature. The outdoor space was ideal, and the hot tub was amazing, lovely and warm. Langdale Lodge

2 adults, 1 senior and 2 teenagers stayed here for a week in Jul 15. There accommodation was spacious, outdoor space was great and the hot tub was bliss. Beds were comfortable and the single beds being full sized was one of the deciding factors (that and the location/hot tub) for booking the lodge - they were very comfortable by all accounts and Grandma hasn't slept so well in years! We took our dog and the gated decking area was perfect for her, there was no evidence of previous dogs being there either which was great also. The lodge is situated near the back of the park but is in a beautiful quiet cul de sac it suited us well.The decor was very tasteful. The only reason I haven't put an excellent for cleanliness is that the baking trays were not clean and we couldn't get them clean and when we pulled the beds out to check for our 'lost property' we found other people's lost property instead. Apart from that it was all excellent and we would definitely return. We had a problem with a wasps nest in the roof but Lake District Lodge Holidays Ltd acted swiftly, one person came out the day it was reported to do a temporary fix and the problem was completely sorted the next day and on a Sunday I might add! A great base for touring the area and a pleasure to be able to walk down to the Lake every morning and evening just because you can! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lovely lodge

We are a family of five with three young children and have stayed at White Cross many times before but this was our first time with a private lodge. Some of the private lodges do have poor reviews because of a lack of up keep by the owners but this was not one of them. The lodge was clean, tidy and comfortable with everything that you would need. Our holiday at Langdale Lodge, White Cross Bay in the Lakes

This was our first stay in a a log cabin and Langdale Lodge was just perfect, clean, tidy, with everything you needed. It was like home from home. We love the Lakes anyay, but the lodge, the park, the hot tub, the weather, the lakeside, the leisure facilities just made our holiday much more relaxing and enjoyable. It was great after a full day of exploring to come back to the lodge to relax in the hot tub. The kids thought it was great too. Very pleasant stay

The lodge was clean and nicely furnished in a pleasant location. The park itself was pretty peaceful with no nuisance noise. Fabulous

What's not to like when you can step out of the lodge and walk right up to the lake and watch the sun go down over the mountains of the lake district and see the deer feeding in the adjourning fields, while walking through the wood. On a site which has a indoor swimming pool, and a sauna and steam room. Langdale lodge is a home from home, The lodge is beautifully kept very clean and very comfortable, it is equipped with everything you may need including plastic glasses for when your in the hot tub!. Which is lovely when you return from a long walk. The other bonus was that our dog could come. We will hopefully be returning next year fingers crossed. What did you enjoy most about your stay? 5 Days break in the lakes

I have to say I have never spent any time in the Lake district and I was blown away with the beauty of the place. Whitecross Bay is a fantastic location between Ambleside and Windermere both beautiful. Langdale Lodge was spot on, great size, clean and the hot tub a big hit. The Lake District has so much to do its difficult for kids to get bored and we did every thing from Mountain Biking, motor boat on the lake (pretty cheap), eating drinking and walking. I hear the bar area is being refurbished for 2016 which will be a good addition The only issue I had was the access to the pool was restricted due to lack of staff, the Scottish Oct week is before the English kids so staffing up for that would be a great idea. Fantastic stay

Great lodge, well located for accessing some fantastic places in the South Lakes and brilliant for the dog. The hot tub was great for a nice dip after some long walks.

Amazing experience

The halo learning disability group visited Lake District at the start of March 2016. We searched online for places to stay. Lake District lodge holidays appealed to us as it offered everything we required and it was ideally located. The customer service provided was excellent. We were kept up to date every step of the way. We were very impressed with the quality of the lodge. The sitting area was very comfortable. We would certainly consider visiting again!

We booked 2 lodges for our Lakes holiday and the staff were very helpful in finding us 2 lodges together. There were 4 adults and 2 children and a baby in this lodge and it was very good for all our needs, although the lodge was on the warm side during the night. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Nice lodge, park disappointing.

Our lodge was clean, comfortable and well equipped for a family of five. The park was disappointing. Too many caravans crammed in, too many cars (our neighbour had three), dog poo bins were overflowIing and a smoker on every decking. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Comfy lodge and hot tub. The girls from Wigan

There was 4 woman on a girly trip & we thoroughly enjoyed it when we arrived it was very easy check in as your key is at the lodge in a locked box, we arrived to a bottle of wine & a welcome card from the owners.... Very nice touch. The lodge was spotless on arrival, beds were very comfortable & a starter pack of dishcloth, dishwash tablets tea towel etc. We loved the hot tub & that was all ready for us & nice & warm. It's nice & close to reception & main area too & is in a little corner of like a cul de sac. The only thing we said it was missing was plug sockets, it was quite awkward as only side lamp plugs other side of mirror,we were lucky cos we had long leads but plugs in living area away from mirror too. Girls pamper weekend

The booking was made by my husband for myself and my 3 friends, two of whom were celebrating their 40th birthdays. We decided to have a girly pamper weekend and chose Langdale Lodge. When we arrived, we were so pleased with our choice. The lodge is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac, and even though there were other lodges around, it felt private. Inside was spacious and equipped to a high standard. The bedrooms are bigger than they appear and the beds are comfortable. The jacuzzi was also amazing and easy to use. The kitchen was well equipped with the majority of things you would need, the only negative being that the fridge/freezer is a small under bench one. If the lodge was at full capacity, there's no way you could keep enough food in there for 6 people. But that is the only issue we picked up on, the rest of the lodge was fab and we are already talking about returning next year. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Better than we expected the little extra touches were lovely bottle of wine waiting for use, the hot tub was on and ready and was sooooo hot. Excellent short break

Lovely lodge in an excellent location. Lodge extremely comfortable, with plenty of space. Everything required was provided - couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Hot tub was excellent, especially with the parasol over it, as our first night was showery but we were still able to sit in the hot tub & enjoy the evening. Park was lovely & quiet with no noise at night which was great. Situated 5-10 minutes from both Windermere & Ambleside & only 30 mins to Keswick. Perfect holiday

We have recently returned from our three night at Langdale. The lodge was beautiful, lots of home comforts, bottle of wine on arrival. It really was home from home, we needed nothing. Another fab weekend

Once again we had a fab bank holiday weekend at Langdale Lodge. A lovely touch was the bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival. The lodge was clean and fresh. The decor etc is modern and tasteful. Lovely Luxurious stay at Langdale Lodge

We found Whitecross Park easily enough, queued briefly for our entrance barrier code, park information, instructions and lodge location. The staff on reception were efficient, quick, helpful and friendly. First impression as we drove up to the Lodge was fantastic, Three large parking spaces for our three cars. We browsed around the lodge and were so pleased with the standards and quality of cleanliness, facilities and equipment. It was all there. Inside and out. We had booked this stay as a 70th birthday celebration for both my husband and I to have the family with us. We were not disappointed, the beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay the hot tub was one of the highlights of our stay. We used the parks swimming and spa facilities which are really fresh and clean. My husband was no sure of the communal changing but we just got on with it. Our weekend was made special by the glorious Autum weather the sun shone all weekend which covered the lodge all day. A great weekend and would like to return. Too short a stay

The Lodge was lovely, everything was great the only things I didn't appreciate is you cant get in until 3pm on the Monday and you have to be out by 10am on the Friday after you've stripped beds and vaced. This means you only get 3.5 days which makes it rather expensive and too short a stay ! It should be 1pm in and 11am out at the earliest. Family 21st Birthday Celebration- fantastic stay

Stayed as a family to celebrate my sister turning 21. Even the pooch had her first 'holiday' at the age of 7. The Lodge was so homely and warm and inviting! Could have stayed there for a longer duration and it would still have catered for us. Kitchen size great and perfect for making cooked breakfasts for 5 of us. Hot tub was a lovely addition and well enjoyed by all of us. Just added that something different. The park itself was nice and quiet and was a lovely morning walk to the lake. Great location. Put a couple of pictures on social media and got a lot of enquiries from friends asking for the details - so hopefully more bookings :) Would definitely keep in mind for any future breaks away! A relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay at Langdale Lodge it was in an ideal location for exploring the lakes and easy access to both Ambleside and Bowness on Windermere for the shops. The shower over the bath needs a bigger shower screen as the floor and bath mat were constantlysoaking wet. Otherwise the lodge was clean and well equipped, we were lucky with the weather and so able to have a barbecue. We had a lovely time and would recommend it to others. Summer 2018 Ambleside

The cabin location was great , as was the Spa pool. The cabin decor and general condition requires upgrade. The external decking is poor and many boards are warped requiring repair , the cabin would benefit from some type of air con. The park is better than our last stay , but the pool staff are rude and unhelpful. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Another great break

This is our 3rd year staying at Langdale Lodge & once again we weren't disappointed. The lodge has everything you could need & is extremely comfortable. As it is located at the end of a lane/drive, it is very quiet with no through traffic & very little foot fall (with the exception of the odd bird running along the roof) which is great. The Hot Tub is an added bonus & the outside furniture was well used as we had a glorious week in the sunshine. The whole site is very laid back & our breaks here at Langdale Lodge have been very relaxing. My only issue this time was the cleanliness of some of the cutlery/crockery/glasses etc, some of which looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a while with smudge marks etc. Appreciate this should be the responsibility of the guests to ensure the items are clean but perhaps a note to the cleaners to double check these items & clean up where necessary before the next guests arrive. Fantastic holiday from start to finish

We booked two log cabins next door to each other. Ten of us in family plus three dogs between us. It was the best holiday we have ever had. Everything was provided. Nice break for 50th birthday

We enjoyed our stay for my husband's 50th. We discussed the treetop adventure just up the road. Loved the hot tub which was clean and ready to getake into as soon as we arrived. We kept getting bumped on the head by the metal pole that was used to hold the cover of the hot tub. It was good that dogs were allowed in the mobile home however we were not allowed to eat in the restaurant just in the cold entrance lobby. Not very welcoming. The best Christmas ever

From booking to the end of stay, the whole experience with langdale lodge and lake district lodge holidays has been excellent and so stress free. The lodge itself is fab. Gorgeous lodge

We, a family of 6 & 1 dog, stayed for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. There had been some changes to the lodge all for the better. It was clean, tidy & nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped with everything that you probably have in your own kitchen. It was in a lovely cul de sac which meant that there was no passing traffic although there was noise from the clubhouse but this didn't go on too late. All in all, we had a brilliant weekend, the weather was fantastic. We have all agreed that we would return to this lodge. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Beautiful cabin well decorated and dog friendly

The cabin itself was beautiful kitchen equipment immaculate and lounge comfortable. The double bed was very short it seemed that way we decided to sleep in the two singles after two nights and they where much more comfortable Had big issue with the hot tub not working properly and unfortunately ruined our stay as the only reason we booked this particular cabin was that it was dog friendly and had a hot tub. In fairness to the management they did send someone out but couldn t be fixed and refunded us What did you enjoy most about your stay? Our visit in May

Pleasant lodge with comfortable beds. We also thought the shower was nice and powerful. Not quite as modern as other lodges on the park particularly the kitchen. However it was very well equipped. Could have been better

The grooves in the dining table top were filthy and full of old food. The rest of the lodge was clean. The customer service in the restaurant was poor, seemed as though they couldn't be bothered. The first night we went to eat in the restaurant they had a very limited selection as they had run out of pulled pork and quite a few of their meals are based around this, and this was at about 6pm. We got some nachos from the takeaway part of the restaurant and when we got back to the lodge and opened them there was no cheese on them. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Relaxing weekend with friends

Absolutely loved the location, made it feel more private. Nice touch with the wine on arrival too which was enjoyed. The hot tub was maintained every day which we thought was good because we got a lot of use out of it. Overall it was a lovely relaxing weekend for a girly weekend. Great lodge

We loved the lodge and its location. We gave feedback to the site as the cleaning team have let this lodge down and not the owners (wine glasses left wth wine were crusted and table grooves were full of crumbs). But in saying that we would totally stay again as it was spacious and a great location with the benefit of the hot tub. Bathroom needing a bit of a paint job as wood work and floor we're grubby looking but still wouldn't put us off. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Excellent weekend.

Lodge was lovely, everything we needed and we really enjoyed the hot tub. We were celebrating 2 50th Birthdays and when we arrived there were 2 cards and a bottle of wine waiting, really lovely touch. Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant Sunday evening. Birthday weekend away

I booked this lodge for my partner birthday along with some of our friends! And it was just perfect the hot tub was a massive selling point for us all!! But we loved how clean and homely the lodge felt. It was lovely and clean. The location was perfect and the site had some lovely facilities to be enjoyed for all ages. We will definitely be back

Fantastic 5 days!

Lovely relaxing break

We had a lovely second Christmas break staying Friday to Monday . Lodge was beautiful and lovely decor. Was great to have a Christmas tree up and trimmings in my favourite colour! Located a short walk from the club house and restaurant it was perfect. All the equipment/ kitchen utensils we needed was available including hairdryers and fan. Lakes Lodge Break

We spent a week at langdale lodge and thourghly enjoyed it. The lodge itself was well situated and perfect for our needs. It was comfortable and clean, also had the added bonus of a washer and dish washer, although we only used the washer on one occasion. The park was well maintained and the staff were very helpful. There were some very nice walks for our dogs and they loved the wood. The only addition to the park would be a fenced off area where dogs could be let off their leads to allow them to run. Amazing lodge with excellent facilities.

Langdale lodge is absolutely beautiful and I would strongly recommend this stay to anybody. The lodge is spacious and comforting and has many facilities in order to make you feel at home. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the hot tub helps you unwind after a long day of walking. We will be returning and will 100% be booking this lodge again. Lovely new lodge

We had a lovely and relaxing 3 night stay in Langdale Lodge from 25th September. The lodge is brand new and everything was as you would expect in a new lodge. Nice furniture and comfy beds and nice, fresh bright decor. The TV What did you enjoy most about your stay? The Lodge and it?s location. We didn?t really go out much but there is an adventure type park almost next door to White Cross Bay and trips into Windermere, Ambleside and Bowness never fail to please with lots of bars, restaurants shops, walks and of course boat trips on the Lake.

Lovely stay at lagdale lodge

We had a wonderful stay at Langdale Lodge, the lodge itself is beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. All furniture and fittings are of excellent quality, lovely bathrooms, hot tub was a big hit with the children! The on-site facilities are great, the pool area was nice and well maintained, well supervised. The bar and entertainment area was good although we prefer to dine off site as there are so many wonderful pubs and restaurants nearby. Another excellent stay!

This is the first time we have visited since the renovations of the lodge and without doubt, we were not surprised at how wonderful it was! As cosy and homely with everything you need like the previous lodge, but this time with some amazing additions! Beautifully decorated. Spacious and roomy. Stunning kitchen. En suit in master bedroom and TVs in two bedrooms for those lazy mornings. We were lucky enough to catch our break over Christmas and we had the most excellent time after such a rubbish year. The tree was up and decorated, with a little wrapped present and a bottle off the owners. Those little touches really kick off the stay and make it even more special. We hosted for Christmas Day and the kitchen was perfect for cooking Christmas dinner but still being with family (it has a huge breakfast bar and stools and looks over the dining table). It was exceptionally clean and maintained to a high standard. The hot tub was still cleaned and serviced over Christmas and despite covid so we felt really reassured of safety. We literally stayed on the park for the whole five days due to restrictions but it was the most lovely relaxing time in a beautiful space. We were very sad to leave. Already booked again for next Christmas and will try and squeeze a mid year one in too! Thank you to the owners for looking after us and for always making our stay at 21 Langdale so lovely.
