Description
Latterbarrow Lodge is a brand new, modern lodge located in the pretty Beckside area of Limefitt Park.
The lodge benefits from one of the prime positions on the park, sitting right on the river bank.
Entering the lodge, you are welcomed into a bright, open planned living/dining/kitchen area where you can all socialise and make some amazing meals.
The two bedrooms and family bathroom are located at the end of the lodge.
Latterbarrow Lodge have a lovely decking area where you can dine al fresco and admire the stunning surrounding valley.
Sleeping up to four guests and an infant in a travel cot (guests to bring their own), Latterbarrow Lodge is ideal for couples or families with children to enjoy a perfect retreat.
Latterbarrow Lodge is located in one of the loveliest parks in the area – surrounded by the Troutbeck Valley, with beautiful fells and views all around.
Only four miles from Windermere village, a bustling vibrant centre with shops, pubs and cafes; or a mile further on to the cosmopolitan Bowness with steam cruises, restaurants and shops.
Back at Limefitt, you have two great local pubs in walking distance, there’s a dog-friendly pub and small shop on site too.
On the other side of the valley is Wansfell Pike and over to Ambleside.
Driving to Ambleside is around four miles, and Glenridding the village on the shores of Ullswater is ten miles away.

A great lodge which was clean and well equipped.
It is in a perfect spot overlooking the river and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. A fantastic location for getting around either by car or on foot. We will definitely return.

We were so impressed with the location, views, cleanliness and amenities.
It's a beautiful lodge in a stunning location. We had a lovely peaceful few days and wish it could have been longer. We've stayed at Limefitt on quite a few occasions and would rate this as the best lodge we've stayed in. (Any plans for any sunloungers on the decking?) We had exceptional weather so it would have been nice to lie about outside, but appreciate that it's far from normal to be able to do that!

A little smaller than other lodges I have been to at Limefitt Park. We had to leave early due to the heatwave but still an enjoyable stay

FYI The shower head in the shared bathroom is cracked so we couldnt use it.
We absolutely loved our stay over the Easter weekend.
The lodge was clean, smelt beautiful when we walked in, kitchen was equipped with all the necessities & bedrooms had plenty of storage and well presented. Lovely touch that the pub on site was open good hours and delivered food for ease. Easy access to plenty of walks and a short drive to Ambleside/ Windermere. Even though the weather wasn’t the best we had the best time and will 100% be returning. Thankyou very much!!
Our stay at Latterbarrow was wonderful.
The lodge was warm, clean and tidy. It was in a perfect position next to the stream, to watch wildlife and enjoy the tranquil view. Limefitt park itself, had a great outdoor playground for the children and a pub/ restaurant on site with a variety of games to play. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed and more. The pantry cupboard had amazing storage for all our food and the large gas oven was big enough for family cooking. As it is Troutbeck, we were 5 minutes from ambleside and Windermere, but far away to appreciate the calmness of the countryside. The only downside was we couldn’t get Netflix to work. The WiFi worked fine, but the tv would not load Netflix. This wasn’t a major issue, but would have made the stay perfect if we’d have been able to enjoy a family movie night after a day of hiking. 100%new will be back again.
Latterbarrow Lodge was very comfortable, clean and well equipped.
However, the second bedroom was very small. There wasn’t much room in the room and the beds were tiny for an adult. I was constantly hitting the wall or nearly falling out. The main light in this room wasn’t working. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Had the most amazing five days at Latterbarrow Lodge, accommodation was beautifully furnished and very clean.
Will definitely stay again.
Our second visit to Latterbarrow was lovely.
The lodge was clean and inviting.we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location of the lodge on limefitt is wonderful. Our overall stay was wonderful and I’m sure at some point we will return.
Lovely little lodge.
Had a great week in the Lakes. This place is perfect as a base to visit all the main attractions and towns. 10 minutes either was from Bowness and Ambleside. The lodge had everything we needed if we wanted to eat in and the little pub on site was a little bonus as we didn’t realise it was on site. There is a lovely little pen on site for letting the dog have a run around. The bed was really comfortable. The only tiny little gripe we had was that the WiFi signal was very weak. I am not sure if this is site wide or is to do with the extender that is in the lodge. Saying that, this didn’t affect our stay and I would still recommend this lodge. We would definitely use this again if we ever visit the lakes in the future.
This is one of the best lodges we have stayed in on the Parkdean parks.
The lodge was very clean and modern, with a secure veranda overlooking the beautiful stream where you could watch the ducks, sheep, deer and cows. Lovely to see that on an early morning or a relaxing evening. We also prefer Limefitt park to White Cross Bay,because of the views (there amazing) plus the dog walks and dog area is a great bonus. We are already looking to book again for later in the year and again next year.
Beautiful Lodge on the stream, beds very comfortable.
Cooking facilities were perfect & great size fridge freezer. Perfect for a small family & massive bonus is the fly by of the raf air crafts..typhoons and hawks mostly! Only small minors were that we couldn't access netflix or amazon based on the WiFi but actually preferred it without. Anyone thinking that's a tv in the main bed should know that its not
Everything was outstanding.
A lovely little lodge by the beck which was ideal for the 2 of us plus our dog.
There are lovely views and the decking is in the sun for most of the day which is fab. One very small matter is there aren't an awful lot of spoons anymore (I think there probably were as there are plenty of knives and forks) and the sharp cutting knives are a bit blunt. Finally, it would be nice if an ice cube tray was provided. Not major issues and I would definitely recommend this lodge.

Very clean on arrival ,beautiful park with a paddock where you can exercise your dogs freely which was nice. We did a beautiful walk from the park just up by the haybarn pub at the back.lovely view with the stream by the lodge. We would stay again.

Latterbarrow Lodge was lovely, extremely clean, and had everything you could ask for. It was home from home. Very pet friendly. Beautiful scenery from the veranda with the stream running in front. Arriving after a long journey, it was lovely to walk into a lovely clean and welcoming lodge. The added extra of washing up liquid, dishwater tablets and other cleaning equipment was a welcomed addition and very helpful. The lodge is in a great location on the park. Limefitt is a great location and we loved every minute of our stay.
We had a fabulous holiday at Latterbarow Lodge.
The accommodation was very comfortable with everything we could have wanted. The situation overlooking the river is perfect. Being able to access the hills at the back of the campsite or walk over to Ambleside in the other direction was a real bonus. We were lucky in that the weather was excellent, but I am sure we would have been fine anyway.
Lovely lodge with extras such as liquid soap and washing up supplies ,could do with new baking trays as they were going rusty and non stick all coming off ,tv in bedroom would be good ,but we had a lovely time and were very comfortable ,Thankyou
This is a lovely lodge, no complaints at all, very clean and a lovely lingering smell of clean bedding.

A real home from home with everything needed for our stay .We've stayed in many lodges on limefitt over the years and latterbarrow didn't let us down it's just a pity the weather did but you can't book that can you.
We have used this lodge on quite a few times and it is always perfect.
It is well equipped and pristine and its location is ideal. Would have no hesitation in recommending it for those looking for a few days relaxation in the Lakes.

Excellent location on the backside.
Nice living and kitchen area, bathrooms and bedrooms very basic and caravan like rather than a lodge feel. Good location to Windermere and nice on site pub.
This was a last minute, mini break for mum and myself.
We loved the lodge and outside area, can image it will be gorgeous sitting on the decking area in summer, pity the weather was terrible on our stay, but the snow topped hills were pretty. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Very comfortable, very clean, everything we needed. The master bedroom with en-suite was ❤️. Back soon
The property was comfortable.
External lighting was poor particularly by the steps leading to the entrance door. Facilities on site very poor as the shop was closed and the Pub other than New Years Eve when an entrance fee was charged. Also upon arrival at 4 pm the reception was closed and it was purely by chance we could access the park via the barrier with the assistance of another resident. We stayed at the park Xmas/new Year 2022/2023 and noticed this year facilities and standards at the park itself had deteriorated.

The Latterbarrow Lodge on Limefitt Park in Troutbeck, Windermere was a perfect modern lodge that had everything we (2 adults, 1 dog) needed for a relaxing holiday!
Stunning views from decking area and living space. The lodge is situated in a perfect position on a peaceful site overlooking the beck. There is a lovely on site pub just a 2 minute stroll away. Can't wait to book to return again soon!
Wonderful lodge in a wonderful location.
Lodge was modern, comfortable and in a lovely spot with the balcony over the river. Children liked watching the ducks swimming by. Fantastic walks and we will definitely be back

Beautiful lodge in a great location.
It is so relaxing to sit on the decking watching the beck run beneath you. Extremely clean and had everything you need. Also provided dishwasher tablets, soap, kitchen roll etc. This may be the best we have stayed in and will definitely return.
Beautiful location, close to local pub (Queens Head) which is fantastic, a quiet park with good amenities for young families and dogs!
Short drive to Bowness and Windermere, can also be accessed without having to drive through town on busy days. Only negative was there was no bottle opener so had to borrow neighbours. Will definitely be rebooking and visiting again soon.
Enjoyed holiday site was really good and clean cabin was clean but could of done with a parasol as the sun is at the front in the evening making it uncomfortable to sit out as very hot also the patio furniture very uncomfortable as old and no cushions.
The lodge was very clean and was in an excellent location on the park.

Lovely well equipped, comfortable lodge.
Wonderful views when the weather is clear. It was so calming to sit on the decking listening to the river. No welcome pack supplied, it would have been nice to been nice to have a few teabags and some milk to have a cup of tea after the journey. That being said it certainly wouldn’t put me off booking again.

The lodge is in a great location on a stream and near to activities.
It was well equipped and clean. The only disappointment was the late check in time of 4pm and check out of 10am which meant we lost a full day. We couldn't fault it otherwise and enjoyed our stay.

We love this lodge.
As soon as we enter it it feels like our happy place. It’s in a perfect location for all park amenities and the added benefit of being next to the river, which I love listening to. It’s great that it is pet friendly too. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable, it’s spacious enough and well laid out. The only downside is the internet connection is very poor and we were unable to use the smart tv as intended. However this was our second visit and we’ll definitely be booking again.

Lovely lodge very clean, everything you need in lodge, prime position looking over the river loved every minute of our stay didn’t want to leave, fabulous.
Park well located with good facilities (dogs, bins, roads, security, shop, pub).
Lodge was clean, great views, and the description was accurate. Suggest the lodge had a covered boot rack outside for muddy shoes, boots, etc. Size of the lodge is limited so this rack would be extremely useful. Also, we received the lodge with one roll of toilet paper per toilet and less than half kitchen towel roll - for a family of four for one week... Come on guys! :) It's not the money, but the principle of having very basic things there, without having to buy those little things. Overall, highly recommendable and amazing views, quiet, and in the middle of heaven.

We note your comments on the toilet roll and kitchen roll, Latterbarrow is a self-catering property and all our guests are provided with a starter pack. Clean, comfy and well equipped. The only thing this lodge needs is either a boot box on the decking or a tray for dirty boots. Loved it and were looking forward to returning for our 3rd visit

Beautifully presented lodge in and idyllic setting sat on the flowing waters of the beck.
Lodge is well furnished and has plenty of storage space. It also has the added benefit of having a dedicated Wi-Fi. Our 3rd visit to Limefitt and it won't be our last.

In general the lodge was very comfortable, however although it appeared clean, the windows, mirrors and kitchen splash back were not so.
It looked as though they had been cleaned with a filthy cloth. Sorry to say but this then put doubts in to your mind as to what else the cloth had been used for. Other than that the lodge was great, well positioned and enjoyed a fantastic outlook with afternoon sun. The Parkdean site was clean, well kept and quiet.

We loved the lodge it is in a prime spot on the holiday park, we would love to stay there again.
Lovely and peaceful, all you can hear is the sounds of the babbling river and the sheep - wonderful.
Perfect, relaxing weekend break staying in clean, comfortable accomodation.

Lodge was well equipped, very clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony that had sun late into the day.
The park is well maintained and a wonderful retreat from other busy lake destinations. It has a good playground, a dog walking area and an onsite pub with outdoor seating and great views. This is also dog friendly inside and out and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend both the lodge and the park.

A great place to de-stress
Had a great stay at latterbarrow lodge! Would definitely recommend it for people looking for a peaceful and relaxing break in the lakedistrict. The lodge was very comfortable with every amenity you would need. The terrace is great for relaxing as you watch the stream right below you and the horses graze in the field directly opposite. The park itself is very quiet and peaceful and there is a great pub on site called the 'hay barn inn' which is definitely worth a visit, the food is delicious and on warmer evenings it's lovely to sit outside and watch the sun set over the valley. The location is wonderful, great for a number of local walks and also an easy place to travel from if you were looking to for walks further afield. Would definitely recommend this lodge and can't wait to stay again! What did you enjoy most about your stay? The lodge was so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a break away to de-stress! There is a fantastic view of lake windermere and the surrounding area, follow the round left from the park, right down the street signposted 'Townend' and again right at the post office, follow the road slightly further down for the magnificent view!

Feeling relaxed after the perfect getaway
Fabulous well equipped lodge in a quiet park away from all the busy tourist areas around the lake; close enough to get to all the local attractions. Perfect for some peaceful R & R. Great local walks identified by the owners, no problems having our dog there. Visited some fabulous lcoal pubs - The Mortal Man, Kirkstone Pass Inn (2nd highest in England) and The Drunken Duck. Lovely walk in Grizdale Forest. The vegetarian restaurant Fellinis in Ambleside was out of this world - even impressed my carnivore other half!!! Our favourite bit was a canoe trip on Lake Windermere with a picnic and a bottle of plonk! Just awesome views, lovely wild life and fun going up one of the rivers into the lake. If you make use of the spa facilities (well worth it) at Low Wood be aware as a non-residnet you must have entry before 5pm (but can stay until 10pm if you wish). Great week in the Lake District
We really enjoyed our stay at Limefitt Park, but felt that the Lodge could do with a bit of tlc, on close inspection it was a little grubby, but overall it was very comfortable and suited us fine. The pub on site was excellent and very good value for money. If we return we will almost definitely stay at Limefitt Park again. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Our 2 nd stay at latterbarrow lodge , had a lovely stay as usual , the lodge overlooks a beck and has 2 horses in a field ( found out their names are Molly & troy ) this all adds to the charm of the lodges position on the site . Compared to some of the other lodges on site this is maybe not as contemporary in design and more traditional looking , but the position of it is a pleasure to be in throughout your stay . Had a hearty meal in The Mortal Man , motor boat trip on Coniston water , had a trip to Penrith and I ( Sandra ) did the Old Ford Walk in Troutbeck , recommended as when you get to the top the view overlooking Windermere is breath taking . Short Family Break
We thoroughly enjoyed our family break to the Lakes. The accomodation was of a very high standard, comfortable, secure and serene, with the rush of the Troutbeck to add to the ambience. We were delighted that our dog was welcome and we had so much to do in the Bank Holiday weekend that we hope to return for a longer break. We were impressed by the standard of food and drinks in the child and dog friendly pub and have recommended it to our dog loving friends. What a wonderful trip in wonderful surroundings, just idyllic. What did you enjoy most about your stay? We had all the comforts of home and the lodge catered for our every need from tourist guides to DVD,s, pet things to throws. Latterbarrow Lodge Limefitt Park
Latterbarrow Lodge has been the right choice for us from the beginning in 2010 when we first stayed there. We have had the pleasure of being able to include our dog on our visits which is an added bonus. The Lodge is exceptionally clean and comfortable and all the necessary comforts are supplied, it saves a lot of extra room when packing. We usually try to visit twice a year so therefore have a range of conditions to contend, mainly the wide range of weather conditions, but the lodge is always able to cope (with us, the weather and the dog). We would (and have done so) recommend the lodge and Limefitt Park to friends and acquaintances. The standard of cleanliness for a self-serviced accommodation was outstanding. Great attention to detail and owner/management had gone over and beyond to provide the amenities to make it comfortable and convenient. we loved out stay at latterbarrow lodge, everyone was friendly & helpful. the lodge itself was clean and beautiful the only downside we found was the double bed had a footboard which didn't leave much room between the top of it & the wall so had to be very careful when getting up in night not to catch ourselves on it. the chalet was ok but it was very claustrophobic the main bedroom was a bit small as for the bunkbeds are not suitable for an adult very small.The area is beautiful and is peaceful for relaxing and close to the town. very good for walking and for dogs. All and all it was ok, is just a shame the bedrooms are small. A lovely stay!
Our family stayed for 4 nights during the Easter break of 2015 and had a great time. The Lodge itself was lovely, with the usual array of furniture, cooking facilities etc. The on-site pub restaurant was also surprisingly good, with sensibly sized meals at good prices for the Lake District. Kids meals were very good too, not the usual frozen and then deep fried fish fingers and sausages that many pubs still deem acceptable! The Lodge was a great jumping off point for walks and activities in the area, and was in a quiet location of the site right next to a small river. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lovely family break with dog
This was our first visit to the Lakes with our children and family dog. The booking process was seamless and the lodge is in a central location near to Bowness and Ambleside. The lodge was very cosy and provided everything we needed, although an improved wi-fi service would be an improvement. The lodge is located right next to a lovely stream providing the nice sound of a gentle running stream when on the balcony. Direct access from the site to various walks which are dog friendly. Also spotted two deer on the last day no more that 20 metres away, which stayed long enough for us to take pictures. We would definitely recommend the lodge, the site and the booking company to others. We all can't wait to return. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Beautiful setting next to Troutbeck.
Had a lovely stay. The lodge is positioned with Veranda overlooking Troutbeck stream. Ducks came to say hello every morning and a dear in the field opposite. Good position for Windermere and the other Lakes. Park is towards the Bottom of the Kirkstone Pass and set in stunning surrounding scenery. Lodge was clean on arrival and some provisions had been provided. Good supermarket - Booths just down road in Windermere. Only thing to mention is that the lodge is Timber construction and some of the wood could do with treatment as it has decayed in places - but nothing major to spoil the overall cleanliness or upkeep of the Lodge. A visit to Glenridding at the bottom of Ulswater is a must. Latterbarrow Lodge - excellent choice
We spent a long weekend at Latterbarrow in July. The lodge was perfect for our needs. It is clean, tidy and homely. The lodge accept dogs which was great for us. It is on a great position by the beck and very picturesque. We loved the park and its facilities, we will be returning hopefully to Latterbarrow in the near future. Traditionally we've always travelled to the southwest for our holidays, but for Christmas this year, we thought we'd try somewhere different. Obviously when you book somewhere you've not been to before, it is always a leap of faith, however much research you do. All I can say is, that our stay at Latterbarrow lodge surpassed all expectations. The accommodation is cosy, but very comfortable with everything you need to get you through your stay with ease. The location at Limefitt park is very clean and well maintained and provides the perfect base for exploring the epic landscape of the Lake District. We would recommend Latterbarrow lodge 100% and have already booked again.

Lovely location, quiet park with everything we needed. Used free pass to swimming pool in Troutbeck bridge which was nice. Windermere very busy full of tourists. Parking prices ridiculous every where. Weather not great for us but still went out every day. Nice walk which starts behind pub on the park goes up the hills. Playground nice. Relaxing stay in a stunning location and beautiful lodge
On arrival the lodge was clean and a real home from home. It provided everything we needed for our relaxing stay for our 5th year at Limefitt Park, out first stay in Laterbarrow Lodge, and it didnt disappoint. The lodge was lovely and cosy especially with the log fire which we had on every evening, and was in a stunning location on the riverbank. There are some beautiful walks which we done from the lodge including wansfell pike, and its only a short drive to Windermere and Bowness. The booking process was excellent and we could not find any fault at all with the lodge. We took our puppy on his first holiday and he enjoyed it as well, especially chasing after his ball and playing with a stick in the dog field. He also enjoyed watching the horses in the field on the opposite side of the river to the lodge. We came home feeling so relaxed, so thank you for another fantastic stay in the Lake District. A superb escape.
A great stay at Latterbarrow Lodge, the lodge is positioned in possibly the best location on the site, sitting out on the decking area overlooking the beck and watching the horses frolicking in the field. The lodge itself is equipped with everything you would need, even down to doggy poo dogs !! well maintained and very cosy. The park is extremely clean and well looked after, my only small criticism was the food in the Haybarn pub wasn't up to much with a very normal uninspiring menu and the food presented was obviously not home made but the barmaid that served us was very attentive and friendly. all in all a great stay and we are looking at returning early September for another break lets hope the weather is as kind to us then as this week has been. This beautiful log cabin is set within scenic views all around the cabin. Gorgeous for a weekend getaway or a weeks holiday! This was a lovely lodge in a lovely area, very clean and comfortable absolutely gorgeous view of the field from the settee I could have sat there all day watching the horses grazing. However two kids and a dog didn't allow this lol Dogs deign allowed was a huge bonus for us and allowed in the site pub too when kids wanted to play pool. Being able to use the local swimming pool and sauna was excellent, it's about a 15 min drive but very nice. What did you enjoy most about your stay? We had a very relaxing break , we had our 15 month Dalmatian with us and had a walk up the fell . We all had a nap after this it is a very relaxing place to stay . Nice location next to stream
We had a nice stay at Latterbarrow, good location and views. My only complaint is the double bed, it is not very comfortable. I woke several times each night with back ache and after returning home found that I could hardly move. It is still aching now over 2 weeks after. I don't suffer from back problems normally. I read in the visitor book that others had said how uncomfortable the bed was. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Chilled out and relaxed, read, watched DVDs, ate and drank! Lovely traditional lodge.
1st time to Limefitt and in a lodge. We found the lodge had everything we needed, very cosy with a lovely view. The bed was so comfortable and shower powerful. There were just 2 of us and a dog so the size of the lodge was adequate for us. All in all, a wonderful break in a peaceful location with lovely views. First visit
This was our first visit to the Lake District. What a visit ! The Lodge was in first class condition and Limefitt Park was a very quiet and restful place. The stream running past the lodge. and the horses in a field just across the stream, was very relaxing when we sat on the verandah. The park is only about 3-4 miles from Windermere and Bowness where the boats are. Can highly recommend a holiday here. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Brilliant lodge, area and location.
The lodge was in a great position overlooking the river. It was immaculate, comfortable and catered for everything. The location was great for travelling to different places. The park had an enclosed dog park which was great for first thing before we headed off. We also went on a walk behind the lodge park with stunning views. Great Lodge, beautiful setting and location

Relaxing stay in the Lake District
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Latterbarrow lodge in Limefitt Park. The lodge is very well presented with everything we needed for our stay, from a well equipped kitchen to the walking books and childrens games. The lodge is situated on the banks of a small river and we frequently spent our evenings listening to the sound of the river while watching the horses in the paddock on the far bank. Pony trekking is available if required, a short distance from the park, as is the local tavern which has a good selection of ales and does good food throughout the day. In summary, great accomodation, great park, great location, we intend to return next year. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Peace and tranquility. Another beautiful stay in the Lakes
This was the first year of 5 that we have been to the Lakes in November and it didn't disappoint. We had our 6month old with us and upon arrival we found the lodge to be clean and cosy. We packed extra layers as we weren't sure how cold it was going to be but the heaters were on for us and there was the option of the fire if we needed it and an additional heater. We only used the additional heater and the lodge stayed warm all the time. The lodge had everything we needed and was a real home from home.The booking process was again so straight forward and the park is immaculate. The launderette is very reasonalbly priced and our little one enjoyed the toddler swing at the park. We were so lucky with the weather in that it rained for us 1 afternoon for the whole week and that was it! We would recommend Latterbarrow Lodge to future guests and Lake District Lodge Holidays for booking. We cant wait to rebook next year. Thank you. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Short break over a weekend but totally relaxing in an ideal spot for going to many areas or just relaxing on your veranda. Can totally recommend and will endeavour to go back again at some point. Lovely place where doggies are welcomed and you can pick and choose whether to relax at the lodge or venture further. Very lucky in that the weekend we went it was the hottest place in the UK. Relaxing Break
The lodge was warm and cosy as we went in September and the weather was a bit unpredictable ,the site is so well laid out plenty of grass and trees around all the lodges ,plenty of walks on site if you take a dog as we did and also plenty of lovely walks locally with nice pubs to stop and rest awhile ,cannot fault our lodge as the view from the decking that overlooks the river was so relaxing and the lodge itself had everything you would need ,Also the pub on site let you take the dogs in and the food was lovely as were the staff overall I would recommend this site and we will definitely be returning. Overall beautiful holiday
the only part that was disappointing was the lack of communication as to where works were being carried out and when. On one occasion when returning from a morning out we were unable to get to our cabin. When we went to spoke to front desk the lady did not believe us. A weekend in The Lakes
A very cosy,comfortable and clean lodge . Everything you needed was supplied even a pr of binoculars for the stunning views .Sitting out on the decking by the beck was so relaxing and not overlooked by anyone .very dog friendly site and looking forward to our 7th visit .will definitely be back to this gorgeous lodge . Relaxing getaway in the Lakes
From arriving to reluctantly leaving we had one of the most relaxing holidays ever ! It was the first holiday with our dog Willow and she had an absolute blast, from watching ducks and rabbits round the lodge to running free in the dog field. The lodge is beautifully situated by the river and it was incredibly tranquil . The park itself was spotlessly clean and quiet, with an excellent pub on site which gave us some excellent meals. We were also blessed with blues skies for our stay and the lodge itself was cosy and had everything you needed. We are already looking to book again for next year ! Traditional, cosy lodge in the perfect spot by the river.
Lovely relaxing stay. Sounds of the river outside & the lodge had everything you could need. Kitchen was really well equipped & board games were much enjoyed in the evenings. Info folder was useful. We had a couple of chilly evenings, but the fire was very effective & looked so cosy. Lovely and clean. Beds & pillows were so comfortable! Plenty of storage. Thank you. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Views from the deck & the sound of the stream with visiting ducks in the evening! So relaxing! Such a lovely relaxed site. Enclosed dog field was a boon as we have a rescue that's a runner! Near to lots of great places to visit. If you like churches, Jesus Church just down the road has some beautiful stained glass windows.

Lovely location
Latter arrow Lodge is in a great spot on the park, with the river running along behind. It's ideally located as a base for exploring the lakes. It's clean and comfy, but for the price, I feel it could be a bit more up to date as its one of the older lodges at Limefitt. Very peaceful place though. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lovely Lodge in Beautiful surroundings
Our first time staying at Limefitt park. The Latterbarrow lodge was very cosy with everything that we needed. Beautiful surroundings & plenty of walks to choose from. The site was very clean & the staff were pleasant. We ate in the Haybarn a couple of times. The food was very good. We would recommend Limefitt to our friends. Excellent - I will stay again
I absolutely loved the lodge. It was comfortable, clean and most importantly, extremely cosy. The running river outside gave it a truly serene feeling at night. Ideally located between Windermere and Ambleside, it was the perfect retreat after a long day out and about. As a side note, it won me some major brownie points with my partner. Peaceful Holiday
Spent 11 nights in Latterbarrow Lodge at Limefitt holiday park. The lodge is new and is situated close to the river. The weather was good and we were able to sit outside most days. It was very peaceful being by the river. As the lodge itself is new it is in excellent condition. It had been cleaned to a high standard for our arrival. We ate at the Haybarn several times. The food is good and the staff work hard to ensure your safety and were all very friendly. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The peacefulnes of the park. Lovely location and very nice lodge
We stayed here for a weekend. The Lodge is really nice and is ideal for local walks. We could not fault anything in the lodge which had wifi access and utensils to make any meal you wished. The main bedroom is ideal with an on suite shower / bathroom and the lounge and kitchen dining area are a great size for a relaxed break. We will definitely return to this lodge. Short but sweet
Due to Cumbria being placed in tier four of Covid restrictions our stay was restricted to a day and a half. The lodge was excellent very comfortable and homely, we have stayed in other parks locally, this was our first time in Limefitt but certainly will not be our last. All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
