Laughing Duck is a spacious holiday lodge set in a peaceful cul-de-sac within the wooded Langdale area of White Cross Bay Holiday Park, just a short stroll from the shores of Lake Windermere. Named after the friendly ducks that often gather on the deck, this inviting retreat provides a warm welcome to couples, families, and their four-legged companions.
Accommodating up to six guests across three well-presented bedrooms, the lodge features a bright and airy open-plan living space, including a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfortable lounge. After a day exploring the fells, guests can unwind in the private hot tub on the large decked terrace, surrounded by nature and birdsong. The master bedroom offers a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, while the two additional bedrooms—one with full-size singles and one with narrower singles—are ideal for children or friends. A stylish family bathroom completes the accommodation.
White Cross Bay provides a range of on-site facilities, including a bar and restaurant with dog-friendly outdoor seating, a children’s play area, and access to jetties and a marina. Please note that some amenities, such as the pool, gym, and entertainment, may incur additional charges. Just 500 yards away, Brockhole Visitor Centre offers a great day out with gardens, a café, boat hire, and the Tree Top Trek adventure course.
The twin towns of Windermere and Bowness are within easy reach, offering a variety of shops, cafés, and pubs, as well as boat trips across the lake. Ambleside, just three miles north, is another popular destination for walking, dining, and exploring. Further afield, guests can enjoy Grizedale Forest, the World of Beatrix Potter, and the scenic villages of Grasmere and Coniston. Laughing Duck Lodge is an excellent base for a Lake District escape, where lasting memories are made in comfort and style.

Stayed in different lodges across whitecross bay and other sites. This is our 2nd time staying inthe laughing duck lodge its a great lodge fab size for a family and pet friendly lovely comfy beds and sofas and everything you need whilst there. Bonus that they have a hot tub for a nice relaxing soak after a busy day or long walk. Its in a lovely part of the park not far from the amenities and its nice an quiet as ya in a little cul-de-sac of the park. We would definitely be back again .
Perfect location with a Bus stop just outside park.
Quiet location, park laid out to maximise privacy. Internet available at reception desk but otherwise the Lake District is a break from technology
