“The Holiday Lodge was Shabby outside in arrival, the decking was covered in slime and moss that you could hardly stand up, the patio doors were not secure when locked at the top so someone could push them open, the toilet door handle came off inside so I got locked in, the toilet roll holder was hanging off, my granddaughter sat on the breakfast bench and it collapsed and she just missed going into the patio window .”

So all in all not a very relaxing holiday we were expecting, would not stay in this lodge again

So all in all not a very relaxing holiday we were expecting, would not stay in this lodge again

    - Haydn, August 2024

I am very sorry that your stay was not as expected and have provide that feedback directly to the company. We have the lodge fully managed by Sykes Cottages and since they took over the management from the previous company the level of communication and maintenance by them has fallen below the standard expected. I was unaware of any of the issues raised until I called into the lodge last week and then also spoke directly to the cleaning company. Whilst minor maintenance issues do arise we expect these to be dealt with promptly and directly by the company and for more significant or costly issues communicated directly to us to determine resolution. The lodge is scheduled for major renovation before next season including new decking and outside furniture; wood flooring throughout main areas, replacement of dining suite; blinds/curtains; bathroom refreshes; staining and renovating the exterior.
