Ridgway Lodge

Bit disappointing as the lodges was expensive but the lodge was bit tired cracks in wall and roof as well as round the bath.

patio doors couldn't lock decking was very slippy and some of the decking posts were rotten and TV remote was gaffer taped up so was very disappointed

Our stay was from 5/9/25 till 12/9/25 with 5 adults, 1 dog and 2 cars.

Overall we were pleased with the lodge, its facilities and its location on the park. However, it was let down by 2 problems (one of which had been reported by other guests who rented it). There is a problem with an invasion of wasps in the lodge. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue with a wasps' nest somewhere in the roof space or in the walls. We "dispatched" at least 15 or 20 of them over the week. Obviously, we appreciate living in a wooded area one must expect to be visited by the local wildlife, but not inside when windows are closed. We think we saw some of them emerging from the light fitting in the ceiling. The other issue was what we think is a broken key in one of the French doors leading to the decking. The door in question had been fitted with a new handle as there are 3 black and 1 chrome, or the other way round (can't remember). I think the door has dropped on the adjustable hinges (I've experience of these hinges), so I managed to lock it from the inside eventually by physically lifting the door and turning the lock. These 2 issues were reported to the park's reception, as per Sykes booking conditions, and also to Sykes themselves. The park said they couldn't do anything because we hadn't booked through them. If the owners of the lodge rectified these issues, then Ridgeway Lodge would be near enough a 100% perfect holiday home.

There two issues.

One set of patio doors would not shut. Still unresolved. Also, there was a wasps nest in the guttering above the seating area. This meant for the first half of the holiday we were unable to sit outside. The pest controller visited on Tuesday wasps then started coming inside through the light fitting. These were taped over by the maintenance and the pest controller applied another treatment on Thursday. Please remind maintenance to remove the tape if not already done so. We note from previous revues there was mention of a wasps issue and the door issue before in May. These issues greatly impacted our enjoyment of the property.

Lovely place as shown in pictures.

Comfortable & Clean for large family - Hot Tub for 4 people which was OK for us. Nice little table out on decking but still needs repainted/freshen up. Included all cleaning and kitchen essentials foil etc nice touch. Pub on site food nice and quick service. Very small shop on site for essentials. SPAR 10 min walk on main road for any extra stuff needed. Things to Note - also a June review - about a wasps nest in the gutter near side to hot tub it’s still there (we went Aug 4) Also the living room double doors the right hand door handle doesn’t lock - not ideal if you have young children, I didn’t feel safe leaving items when out and about because it’s quite a busy site. Lodges are close together. They do have Smart TV for Netflix but WiFi is shared with the neighbours and the signal is not good enough to watch it here. May be better if they had their own WiFi set up. We had some DVDS and watched couple of films. They do have DVD player.

Lovely weekend away!

Lodge is beautiful and clean, great location and hot tub is awesome. Cot only suitable for up to 12 month baby's, but our 2 year old slept on bed ok, main bedroom mattress hard as a rock and all pillows were terribly uncomfortable but everyone`s taste is different so not arguing. Kitchen is great and fully fitted with every possible fork spoon cup kettle and so on don`t need to bring anything extra, back patio door needs definitely sorting (adjusting) as it barely locks and decking needs new paint, but other than that would definitely recommend the lodge, its fantastic escape where it`s nice and quite! Thanks

The location is nice a quite and the Lodge itself was clean and modern, decking was scruffy but ok, Did make Sykes aware there is a wasps nest in the guttering next to the outdoor seating area, these fly around while you are sat outside or in hot tub and frequently make there way into the lodge.

No response to that issue as yet. Also 2 handles one on the right hand set of doors and one on left side set of doors are missing external handles and the right side one is missing a key and therefore cannot be locked but also cannot be entered from outside lodge due to the missing handle. Hot tub water was also cloudy, think it may need cleaned? Overall lovely Lodge, spacious and clean.

Great property and very clean.

Could maybe do with a freshen up of paint especially the decking area, other than that great stay.

Lovely stay at Ridgway Lodge which was as per the pictures presented.

Really enjoyed our stay. The lodge itself was very clean and with everything we needed. The hot tub was great and in good working order. White Cross Bay was great after not being there for a few years. Perfect location near Windermere. Only point for improvement would be the outside furniture which looked a little tatty. Decking could also do with some tlc ahead of the summer. Minor points for the owners.

my only issue which didnt affect our stay but for us was the size of the hot tub..we had 5 of us that couldnt really chill in the tub as we hoped due to it was really small compaired to others we have used before but everythink else was great..would defo stay hear again and would recomend this cabin but more than 3 people and the hot tub at any time and it is to small.

Property was fabulous clean and kitchen fully stocked with utensils xmas trees were marvellous and the hot tub amazing.

Property was lovely and warm when we arrived.

The Holiday Lodge was Shabby outside in arrival, the decking was covered in slime and moss that you could hardly stand up, the patio doors were not secure when locked at the top so someone could push them open, the toilet door handle came off inside so I got locked in, the toilet roll holder was hanging off, my granddaughter sat on the breakfast bench and it collapsed and she just missed going into the patio window .

So all in all not a very relaxing holiday we were expecting, would not stay in this lodge again

The cabin is warm and cosy but a few things needs changing and proper attention.

The deck needs proper cleaning and moss is falling from the roof. The carpet needs deep cleaning or changing. The dinner table is wobbly. The ensuite bathroom was dusty and mouldy which made me sneeze a lot. The main bedroom blinds needs changing to a more friendly and brighter blinds. Otherwise it's a nice cabin if given 100% attention.

The kitchen was lovely and had all you could need.

The rest of the lodge needed upgrading or some tlc (mould in bathrooms, broken mirror etc). I would suggest replacing carpet with hard flooring as it is now dog friendly. The decking is badly in need of some tlc and the outdoor furniture was very worn. The main problem is the ramp- we booked this lodge as my Mum is disabled but the ramp is not flush to the path/walkway. It was impossible for Mum to use her electric scooter to get up the ramp. I think this should be rectified immediately if you are stating “ramp access”. We always enjoy staying at White Cross Bay but will not return to this particular lodge.

Our stay overall was very pleasant.

The hot tub definitely is a treat and the house has everything one might needs. So I would recommend the park and go back myself. A few things are overlooked though so some maintenance is needed considering the cost of the staying. For example all Pap tests were out of date (Jan 2022!!) which is a big hazard considering the type of accommodation. The table was broken on our side and quite giggly. The bath in the main toilet is broken which is dangerous for wee one hands. The twin beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Controls (and there were many) all missing the battery lids so with kids it was a constant battery search, not ideal. In general it needs a bit of love. A few advices to make this experience extra pleasant is: -provide a mattress to the baby cotbed - WIFI is a real issue, although it is mentioned to be slow in advance but would make a huge difference if improved. - cover or o gazebo over the hot tub would make it usable during raining days which in our case happened most of our stay - a few more tower and toiletries would be great Thank you

Second time at white cross bay and second cabin we stayed in , Cabin was well furnished and clean and everything worked fine.

Couple of little bits could do with a touch up but nothing which affects the stay in the cabin . Would book here again no hesitation . As prevoius experience at WCB the internet is pretty poor and can be frustating at times , think this down to the site but anyway we’re on holiday not here for surfing the net. Overall very pleasant stay and would recommend

Everything was excellent inside the lodge ,the only thing we all were a bit disappointed with was the outside lack of furniture, we all are over 60 there was only 4 chairs 6 stayed at the lodge that was the only thing

The lodge was brilliant!

Really clean, matched description perfectly, had everything we needed. We had a fabulous stay here and would definitely come back and recommend!!

Absolutely fantastic time and the lodge was really nice and very well equipped.

There was a few minor issues with the lodge that we noted if only to give suggestions for improvement. Within the main bedroom, the mattress has 'dents' in and was uncomfortable for my Wife, the En-suite had mould on the walls above skirting and the toilet and shower seemed to be leaking slightly (probably the cause of the mould). The outside of the Lodge could really do with a paint as its looks very 'worn'. Apart from them few, not really to big of a deal, problems, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again. I would rate this as a 5 star if the problems i mentioned above were corrected. Thankyou :)

Fantastic stay with a lodge fully equipped with everything we could ask for !

No issues at all and would stay again tomorrow Only thing we would say is that on the hot tub rules outside next to the hot tub it says hot tub can be used 8am - 10pm but on the welcome book indoors it says only use between 10am and 10pm

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous lodge.

The lodge was clean, modern and spacious enough for our party of 5.

Kitchen well equipt. I would say however that the outdoor furniture could benefit from an upgrade. The table and chairs can only comfortably seat 4 people and was frayed and rusty in places. The hot tub was clean and warm but can only accomodate 3 or 4 people.

This is the 5th time we've stayed at Ridgeway and it is definitely a home from home.

We will certainly be back again.

Lovely lodge which is well located in a beautiful area and well established site.

The lodge had everything you need for a fab holiday and was comfortable. Little home away from home. Hot tub is a massive bonus. Internet is minimal but nice to get away from electronics and relax for a week.

The property was lovely.

We did have a couple of issues, but these were dealt with quickly by Sykes very satisfactory. We would be happy to stay there again.

A lovely lodge.

Well appointed, clean and tidy. The hot tub was a lovely temperature and really well maintained. Just want to stress that the wifi is incredibly poor. This is no fault of the lodge and they're clear they have no responsibility for this but be aware if this is something you would require when booking. When the complimentary wifi popped up which was rarely the connection was non existent. Again no criticism to the owners just a heads up. The restaurant on site was incredibly busy. Fine if you're family wanting a contained space where kids could run around but not great if you're an older party. Food was average.

We chose this property predominantly for the hot tub and the location on a small holiday park right on Lake Windermere.

The lodge was well cared for, and well stocked decorated and did not disappoint. We also really enjoyed the free membership of the local private healthclub, as the on-site pool was too busy to lane swim during half term. Didn't use the on-site restaurant so can't comment on that. The only hitch was with the heating which Sykes resolved within the hour by sending an engineer.

We did have an issue with one of the trees falling on our way and smashing the back window through however understand this is out of your control. I have left a pair of slippers in one of the draws in the master bedroom, would it be possible to have them posted to me? Thanks so much, Lisa :)

We stayed here for a weekend and had a lovely time.

The lodge was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hot tub was checked daily and the site is well maintained. Our children used the swimming pool and we found the facilities clean and staff helpful and friendly. We would definitely return.

The lodge could do with a lick of paint as lots of marks all round the lodge Signs of mould in the en-suite bathroom Nobody came throughout our stay to check on the hot tub We had a problem with the electrics, which when reported was sorted out very quickly, (within 2 hours) The lodge was very well equipped with every thing you needed in the kitchen, more serving bowls would be good Overall a good holiday and would certainly stay in this lodge again

Overall a lovely lodge with a very spacious kitchen living area, plenty of space for 4+ people.

The site is in a great location with onsite amenities. My only criticisms of the lodge would be; - there was a very strong smell of damp coming from the drawers in the main bedroom underneath the window which we didn’t use but plenty of other storage cupboards to use - the mattress in the main bedroom needs to be replaced, you can feel the springs. - Cleanliness on the floor between bed and side cabinets needs looking at (thick dust) - General up keep of the en-suite (mould in places) Other than the points above, the lodge would have been perfect.

The lodge was lovely, spacious and clean!

The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the hot tub. Our only issues were that the speakers did not work, there was no wifi (it was advertised as having it) and no internet signal so it was hard to contact home.

Really nice cabin with hot tub set in a quiet location of the park.

Nice bit of decking to enjoy a drink in when the sun is out. Cabin had everything we needed. The only negative thing which I can comment on is the drawers and cupboard next to the window in the master bedroom smelled a bit damp. We didn't put any of our belongings in these cupboards but still plenty of drawer and cupboard space within the rooms. I would defo visit again.

The lodge itself was clean and well equipped though a little shabby.

There were marks on the walls, the mattress in the double bedroom was old/lumpy, some of the chairs and cushions needed replacing. Also the en-suite shower was blocked and couldn’t be used. Process of arranging for a new toaster to be delivered was surprisingly difficult. Though it was delivered quickly, in the end!

I have stayed in this lodge 3 times now since 2017.

On the whole an excellent lodge. Some signs of being well used but it is to be expected. However, the mattress on the double bed is a joke. It is in urgent need of replacing to a decent mattress. If that had been okay it would have been 10 across the board.

Overall we had a really lovely stay at Ridgeway Lodge.

There were only very minor things that need attention, the rail leading up to the lodge from the ramp needs to be secured as this appeared loose and the seal of the shower screen in the main bathroom needs replacing. I do agree with others about the lack of utensils in the kitchen eg mixing bowl, jug, whisk and would benefit from some more cereal bowls. The freezer needs defrosting. The beds were comfortable and the surroundings were lovely. My son most definitely enjoyed the hot tub!

Lovely lodge and great location.

However, the mattresses in the double and one of the twin rooms were very uncomfortable, they are old and sink straight to the base of the bed when you sit on- they need replacing. The WiFi doesn't reach this lodge and depending on your mobile network there is limited phone signal, it would benefit from a seperate router. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and waited 40mins for drinks and over 1hour for food, understandably they were busy but it was a disappointing meal.

Don’t know where to start on arrival had to get someone to the lodge because of damage and cleanliness very poor.

Pans old and rusty, decking green and filthy, railings I need of painting and some held together with cable ties, curtains didn’t fit, dirty kitchen floor, units and front of oven needed cleaning, mould in bathrooms shower head mouldy, lamp in bedroom rusty and not working, lights coming away from ceiling, trip switch box cover smashed off outside furniture old, outside table had a hole in it so they have took the glass off painted it then glued the glass back on to hide the hole , around the hot tub was filthy, fridge inside the door was all smashed and the freezer was all frozen up so struggled to get the drawers out and when I did found stuff from last occupant or maybe been there longer I will be making a formal complaint

This was our third time staying at White Cross Bay, as always the site was outstanding.

Unfortunately the same could not be said for the lodge. The hard surfaces such as sinks and toilets and hot tub (admittedly the best part of the lodge) were clean, however the bedding was stained and the pillows and mattresses were so worn they were extremely uncomfortable. There was a lot of mould in the bathroom and the flooring was mushy in places, the living room carpet needed a good Hoover and there were cobwebs and dead spiders in the corner of the main bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering however some utensils such as tin opener were broken so could not be used. Overall the lodge is in much need of some general maintenance, and a very good clean! It seems a harsh review but in comparison to the other lodges, we were disappointed. This won’t put us off returning to the park or the Lake District but we wouldn't return to this particular lodge.

We have stayed at White Cross Bay numerous times but this is the first time in this lodge and we would definitely book it again.

A really spacious, well equipped lodge in a lovely area of the park with a short walk to the lake and the club house. The bedrooms were all spacious with lots of storage space and the lodge was really well set out. We travelled on the first bank holiday weekend in May and we were lucky with the weather and the sun was on the decking area for most of the day. We travelled while the restrictions were still in place for pubs and restaurants but that didn't spoil our holiday as there was space to eat and drink outside of the club house and we ventured out most days. If i had to find one negative with the lodge it would be that the hot tub is more suited to four people so for a lodge which sleeps six it's a little small but was not a big deal at all.

Hallowe'en

Arrived at lodge and began to unpack on inspection of twin bedroom one bed was covered in blood stains and the underneath was unmade,this was a bad start to our break and although the company sorted it in good time it left us feeling that we were staying in an unclean house. Fantastic experience hope to visit again

Very modern, with good quality furniture all round. Kitchen had everything you could have needed apart from a few extra bin bags would have been nice and a proper dish cloth or two. Living area was very cosy with a nice warm fire and a fantastic size tv and really comfortable couches with more than enough room for 6. Bedrooms were quite spacious however it would have been nice to have the option to change twin rooms into doubles for couples. Bathroom and en-suite were near enough faultless apart from they both got overly steamy making everything very wet. Bigger extractor fans would be ideal. Hot tub was lovely and warm but with the lodge capacity of 6 we expected the hot tub to be able to seat 6. Overall we would rate the lodge a solid 9/10 and we really hope to escape there again within the next few months. Very happy. We enjoyed our break.

The lodge was clean and comfortable and provided excellent facilities. Although the weather was awful we still managed to have a pleasant and relaxing break.

Ridgeway Lodge

Couldn't have been better. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Absolutely loved it. The location of the park is an excellent base to explore the Lake District. Good shops nearby in either Windermere or Ambleside. The hot tub was very relaxing too. A great place to unwind.

Wonderful Lodge!

I stayed here with friends for one of our 40th Birthdays. (Friday - Sunday). What a beautiful Lodge. Everything we needed was available. Spotlessly Clean. Very homely. We all had a wonderful stay and will definitely return. We got a taxi into Bowness in the evening which is just 5/10 minutes away. Great Location. Highly recommend.

I will come again

The location is good and the lodge was very nice. It was a problem with the front door of lodge but they came and fixed it. I think as l understand from them the electricity power usually cut off and it happened once when l was there and it took more than 6 hours. We had a wonderful time

The lodge was excellent had every facility we required. The location was good. Our two little grandsons had a wonderful time in the swimming pool and the parks.We would certainly book this lodge again and would highly recommend it to our friends. Amazing stay for 6 ladies!

I came to the lodge at the start of july with my Mum sisters and friends for a chilled weekend away for my birthday. The lodge was absolutely beautiful, hot tub was amazing and the location was lovely only about 10 mins away from Bowness which was great. There was one tiny problem, there were a lot of ants in the kitchen on the side near the sink and we couldnt find where they were coming from. Ok for a short break

Enjoyable stay and a great location but didn't find it as well spaced out as limefitt park. Felt as though the lodges were on top of each other. Facilities for kids were excellent. Lovely place to visit

White cross bay is a perfect place to stay in Windermere. Staff are very friendly. Services are good with pool, children's play areas and clubhouse. The lodge we stayed in was great. About 10 minutes walk from white cross bay is an adventure location. Plenty of things for the kiddies to do, including big playground. Zip wire ride ( pay extra for this) also Boat rides. Perfect Stay at Ridgeway

From arriving at the lodge to leaving we had a fabulous time. The lodge was better than we expected. Immaculate both inside and out. We could not believe how much space there was inside the lodge. The hot tub was perfect on an evening after a hectic day visiting local attractions. The lodge had everything inside that you would need. A lovely stroll down to the Lakeside most evenings. The nearby Zoo worth a visit with young children. The Club House was perfect for a drink on an evening. Although we didn't eat there the food did look lovely. Excellent break!!

This was booked as a surprise for my mum's 50th birthday. The walk in shower and ramp into the lodge were great for us as my mum has limited mobility. The Ridgway lodge is spacious and in excellent condition. We will be returning for a stay at the lodge. The location was brilliant and we got to go somewhere different every day. Ridway Lodge

Firstly, I would like to say what a great spot this is. We had a cracking weekend with the fab weather. Lovely and quiet. Love the layout of the cabin, and some of the bedrooms are spacious. We would love to return to this lodge again with our family, the amenities are perfect, and the Hot Tub was a hit. Unfortunately I do have some bad points I would like to mention. Family getaway

Stayed at ridgeway lodge for 7 nights with my family and my sisters family. Loved whitecross bay, loved the location of the lodge and enjoyed the use of the hot tub. The lodge is large with all the home comforts and was well equipped to cook every night for the family. There are a few things that are now looking a little tired - the bathrooms have damp and need redecorating, the sun lounger chairs were rusty and could have a better kettle and toaster. Weekend stay

A group of us stayed at Ridgeway Lodge Friday to Monday. The lodge was well equipped and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay, the hot tub was an added bonus. The park is lovely and clean and a good central location for exploring the surrounding lakes. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Relaxing chilled out time. we really enjoyed the hot tub

The lodge was lovely and modern the hot tub was lovely however we did not find the full instructions or for the integral entertainment system. But this did not spoil our enjoyment of the hoilday. A restful stay in a lovely lodge

We stayed here with my parents to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a nice lodge we could chill out in and relax as a family, in between trips into the local villages in the Lakes. The lodge is exactly as in the pictures, only better! It is very clean and has a good stock of cutlery and everything you need for a short break. We didn't get chance to use the seating area outside due to the weather but there were chairs and tables outside which looked comfy. The only hitch we encountered was having no electricity on our last day - which meant we could not cook breakfast or have showers. We called customer service at the lodge site but they said it was an electricity issue outside the park - we were not informed how long the issue would be for - no one seemed to know - this meant we left the lodge earlier than perhaps planned - however, it was an issue outside of the park. Otherwise a lovely stay and we would stay again in this lodge when we are back in the lakes. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Great Lodge!

Just want to say we had another fantastic stay with Lake District Lodge Holidays at Ridgway Lodge. A welcome break

The outdoor lights around the hot tub and entrance to Ridgeway Lodge were very welcoming. We were all very impressed with the size of the accommodation and attention to detail. The Lodge was clean and tidy and of good standard. We made full use of the hot tub during our stay, listening to the owls under a clear, dark sky is such a pleasant way to relax in the evenings. Amazing lodge

We had a fantastic stay at Ridgeway Lodge. There was a problem with the toilet seat when arrived but it sorted out straight away. Lodge is spacious, comfortable, clean, furnishings were very good standard and there's everything that you need inside. Hot tub was great, loved every minute of it. Are only problem was the onsite pool. They operate a booking process but there were too many people booked in and not enough changing room space. The pool was freezing cold also, myself and youngest only spent 10 minutes in it when we'd booked for 45 minutes. All in all the lodge it's self was perfect and I would highly recommend it to anyone. A long weekend with the family

Ridgway was absolutely everything we could have wanted for our relaxing weekend away with our family. Although the weather was very mixed the beautiful lodge gave us all we could have asked for and more to enjoy a special few days away with our 18 and 22 year old for a fab family catch up. The facilities and comfort were second to none. The cooking facilities were perfect for family meals followed by tv viewing , music and board games or a dip in the hot tub. Disappointment and filthy pants!

Our 2nd visit to the park. The park itself is fine. However our lodge was poor. When we arrived the kitchen utensils in the upright pot were covered in grease. As if someone had sprayed them all in frylight and left them. The smell when we walked in was of staled breakfast. We had to ask a member of staff for air spray as well as bin bags which were also not left. There was a skrew loose on the dishwasher which meant we couldnt shut the door. We had to fix that too. The hot tub also had a scummy film on it which according to the hot tub engineers, is from the chemicals. Im not convinced. Finally on departure, when we were checking everything and making sure we hadnt left anything behind, we came across someone elses dirty trousers and knickers shoved at the back of a cupboard!!! We would have reported this earlier, but could put up with the smaller issues, if we had have come across the underwear issues earlier we would have done. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lovley short break

This was my first time in a log cabin after a not very good caravan experience we was very surprised it was very clean and lovely for the kids to play but the adults to relax knowing the kids were safe to play the standards were very high .we have been recommending this place and 100 percent be returning the only downfall was there was no cot bedding for the travel cot but least I no for next time What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lovely modern lodge with hot tube

We stayed in this modern lodge for 5 nights with three elderly relatives. The lodge was perfect. There was parking spaces for two cars, a ramp for easy access, a large living room and kitchen / dinning area, there was two nice bedrooms with two single beds in each and a modern clean bathroom. Our double bedroom also had a great en-suite with a walk-in shower. Everything was in great condition. We loved the decking area and thanks to some marvellous weather we spent many hours sitting outside enjoying the sun and relaxing in the hot tub. A maitenance person checked the hot tub each day and it was in very good condition. The living room had comfortable leather sofas and a good quality wide screen television. The only minor issue was we struggled to get much of a WiFi signal. Whitecross Bay is very attractive, with lots of trees. We also visited the restaurant and bar which were very convinient and served decent food. We would definitely come back. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Modern and spacious lodge . Well equipped. We holidayed as a family ( 4 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler) and there was plenty of room for all of us. Lovely lodge great setting excellent location

The lodge provided excellent accommodation for 4 adults. All the facilities were of a high standard and having the beds made on arrival was great. The hot tub was fantastic. We were out a lot so did not use any of the facilities onsite but Windermere and Ambleside offer lots of lovely places to eat and relax. The details provided before our stay were comprehensive so no issues with directions, access etc. Offer of early check in and a later checkout would have been useful. Great Lodge in a quiet location

Visited this lodge in June 19 with a group of friends. The lodge is well presented, modern and clean. The living area has 2 large sofas and a small chair which is comfortable. The kitchen area is particularly large for a lodge, with a good sized fridge freezer for all your supplies. The bedrooms are very nicely decorated with plenty of storage space. The single bed mattresses felt a little saggy, however this didn't prevent a good nights sleep. Both bathrooms very nice, however the bath towels were on the small side. The hot tub was lovely and hot, and is a great asset. We didn't think it was as big as previous hot tubs we had been in, however it seated 3 comfortably. We didn't get to try out the outside seating area due to the weather, however it looked decent. lodge is located in a quiet area of the park, a short walk away from the Club House, where there is a variety of entertainment and a restaurant. The entertainment is ok if you're having a few drinks, however whilst dining on the Sunday night, at approximately 7pm the entertainment started blasting out of the speakers just behind us which made a normal conversation impossible. Would highly recommend

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a fab time. The kids loved the added bonus of the hot tub! The lodge was very modern, clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, just like a home from home. What a lovely place to stay

We enjoyed a great weekend away for my daughters 30th birthday. We were kept informed right from booking to aftercare. The lodge and hot tub were enjoyed by all. A great base for exploring the Lake District!

Ridgway Lodge was a perfect base for us to explore the Lake District with a wide range of activities within close proximity. Our group of teenagers, adults & grandparents did activities at Brockhole on Windermere, Rookin House Farm and Ambleside. We also enjoyed Abseiling at Hodge Close Quarry and Ghyll Scrambling at Stickle Ghyll booked through Lakeland Ascents. It rained most days but that didn't spoil the fun and the hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of activities. Ridgway Lodge was well equipped for a self catering holiday with a good sized fridge and freezer so we only really had to shop once for the whole week (we booked a click and collect Morrisons order from Kendal which worked well for us). White cross bay

I Absolutely love White Cross Bay, I always book my stay through Lakedistrict lodge holidays fab company. I have stayed at Ridgeway three times it's a beautiful Lodge very spacious very modern & very clean. My only criticism is the hot tub which is fab wouldn't fit six people in I do think this needs to he upgraded. What did you enjoy most about your stay? The sheer loveliness of being in the lakes. Much needed getaway

Much needed getaway turned out to be everything we could have asked for. Stayed at whitecross bay on numerous occasions and as always it was a pleasure. Service on site was excellent as always, staff very helpful in a time where things are so uncertain. Wifi and phone signal not great around the park making ordering food/drinks etc using the app quite difficult however staff were always willing to help. We had a lovely week away relaxing and taking time out from all the covid stress. The lodge is beautiful, and the hot tub was superb. Third stay at White Cross Bay - have stayed at different lodges each time. This was a well laid out lodge, comfortable. Christmas decorations were a lovely touch.
