Robin's Nest

I booked Robin's Nest for my parents for my mum's 75th birthday.

They had a very peaceful and enjoyable stay and were delighted with how spotlessly clean the lodge was and all the lovely little touches from the owners. They're already planning their next visit!

Very comfortable with everything you could need.

Lovely situation in the Lakes. Would highly recommend.

The cottage itself was lovely - comfortable and clean.

The contents left in the cupboards for our use were above and beyond our expectations.

An ideal location for exploring the Lake District. A pity that the service from Sykes holidays was poor.

We have been coming to whitecross bay for over 15 years, I have to say Rabins Nest is the BEST Lodge we have been in, facilities 10/10 Clenlyness 10/10, Facilities 10/10, in general everything was 100% well done owners, we will be back.

Property was clean, well equipped and comfortable.

The photos reflected exactly what we found. Bowness 71 was what to look for on entering site. The site map provided by reception was helpful in locating the property. Conveniently close to lakeside.

Absolutely beautiful well presented everything you could possible need , in a great location very modern lovely decking area, short walk to lake and all amenities.

We stayed at Robins nest for 3 nights,it is an absolutely beautiful lodge,loads of lovely little touches,we didnt need for anything as the owners had thought of it all.

After a long stormy drive of storm Amy we finally got to robins nest, what a lodge, it was amazing.

It was so clean and after a very long drive the beds were so comfortable, the whole lodge was full of home comforts great view of lake and we fully enjoyed our stay and we will return at some point. Thank you from the Dorset clan

Luxurious!

Garry and carol had thought of everything. We had taken cleaning products and tea coffee etc and it had all been provided. even dvds and games. What a spotless clean place, couldn't fault anything, would highly recommend this place.

Robin's Nest was a lovely Lodge is close to shores of Lake Windermere.

The Lodge is comfortable, very clean and everything you need is provided. It is just like being at home. The Park itself is clean and well maintained and is peaceful. A short stroll from the Lodge takes you to the shore of the Lake where you can sit at a picnic table and enjoy the beautiful scenery and if weather permits see the gorgeous sunset. If you are looking for a Lodge holiday and enjoy peace and quiet I would highly recommend White Cross Bay.

Wow!

What a beautiful, spacious lodge. Very well maintained and very cosy, we couldn’t fault anything. It was spotlessly clean, beds were so comfortable, lots of hot water and a very well equipped kitchen! The owners had even, very kindly, left milk in the fridge for that much needed cup of tea after a long journey! We would definitely stay here again. 10/10 for everything.

We had a brilliant stay at Robin's nest.

It was perfectly located with easy access to the cabin. Very clear instructions were available for all appliances and the place was well stocked with everything you'd need. It was beautifully decorated with many tasteful touches to make it feel like a home from home. Very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it and use it again!

Robin’s Nest is one of the best self-catering accommodations we have stayed in.

It had everything we needed, it is spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating area and a lovely outdoor deck. The property is a credit to its owners and the cleaning company. Highly recommended

Fantastic lodge, very contemporary.

Everything that you would need for a holiday. 2 mins walk to lake edge and small marina. 5 mins walk to bar and social centre. Would have no hesitation In returning for future holidays. Thank you

Absolute gem of a find.

Robins nest is truly a home from home with so many finishing touches in every Room. You really could not ask for anything more, It is one of the most relaxing breaks we have had. So much so I didn’t want to leave!!! We will be back!! Thank you Robins Nest.

We had a lovely stay at this lodge.

There was everything we needed, the beds were comfortable,and the kitchen was fully equipped. We also liked the location, as it is close to the lake and not far from the pool which we used daily. The place is quiet, and even if there are other lodges nearby, it wasn't busy at all and we still had our privacy. We would definitely come back again if it was a bit closer to our place (Cardiff

The lodge was very clean and warm.

It was exceptionally well equipped, everything that you would need. The park was quiet and well maintained. The lodge is conveniently placed to get to lots of places. Bowness and Ambleside just two lovely towns to visit. It was an excellent property and I would certainly recommend it.

We had an incredible four-night stay at Robin’s Nest Lodge.

The photos are great to show it off, but being there - wow - it is perfection. A lot of thought has been put into making everyone’s stay as comfortable as possible. It was undoubtedly the cleanest lodge we’ve ever stayed in, and we of course treated it as if it were our own. The owners were very kind and responsive, and we had contact with them throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Very nice lodge everything you want for a lovely holiday

This was our 3rd visit and it was just as good as the first visit, it was like home from home, l would definitely recommend staying at Robins Nest.

Don’t usually do reviews but this place warrants one.

Me and my to girls loved the place. It’s large very clean and very comfortable. The girls even asked if they could take the beds home ha. The perfect stay. The only negative is that we didn’t book to stay longer but will definitely be back

Cannot fault the lodge and location within the site.

Clean and comfortable, I will definitely look to book the lodge again if I am in the area. 2 minor pointers ... Small waste bins in bathrooms and maybe a nest of coffee tables in the lounge would be advantageous as the lounge is spacious and the one large coffee table doesn't serve both sofas adequately for comfort. However these minor points didn't affect our stay. Would recommend

Very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Well equipped and has everything you can think of. Great selection of games,toys, and films for rainy days. Would recommend to family and friends

Lovely lodge in a good position on park, beds and sofas comfy everything you need in kitchen, decorated for Christmas which was an unexpected bonus, granddaughters loved the lodge and the games provided, quiet and cosy just what we needed.

Robins Nest at White Cross Bay was an absolutely beautiful Lodge.

I came to stay for a week with my 9 year old, but sadly due to circumstances beyond my control had to leave early (wednesday, i left the lodge as clean and tidy as i could but didn't get the chance to have a hoover around sorry) The lodge itself was beautiful and in a great location on the park, which was also lovely. On arrival we found it to be immaculately clean, very spacious and had a homely feel. It was well equipped for absolutely everything and my son was over the moon to find it had lots of games, dvds, books etc to keep him entertained. Nothing to fault at all to be fair regards the Lodge, it was spot on, although maybe a hot tub on that lovely decking area would be perfect after a long day out walking maybe. Just to let you know that the toilet roll holder in the main bathroom was broken when we arrived, it wasn't us! Thanks for a lovely stay, i would definitely recommend Robins Nest to others and stay again one day.

The property itself was lovely.

We bought a cafetiere and left it in the property because we're coffee lovers and there wasn't one when we arrived. Hopefully this will be appreciated by future visitors. The site was fine. Quite noisy in the evenings and the pool was absolutely rammed full so wasn't that enjoyable

Robins Nest is a lovely comfortable lodge with everything you need.

Worked really well for 2 couples having the 2 bathrooms. It is in a great position on the park which is very well maintained. Would use again.

Excellent lodge in a stunning location, plenty of room, clean and had everything you needed in the lodge.

Kids enjoyed the added extras like games and added toys in the room. Short walk too from Brockhole for even more activities. Would definitely come back.

Lovely place to stop, beautiful lodge very tidy and clean, only thing was no wifi to connect to hard to view websites when booking places to visit, but very lovely place to visit near the lake beautiful walks and views, would come again.

Recently returned from a weeks stay at Robin's Nest, location of lodge excellent, can see the lake from the decking area and you are minutes away to the lake shore and great position to watch the RAF flights.

Lodge is bright and airy, plenty of room for 4 adults, the twin beds were comfortable for me & hubby, our elderly parents were more than satisfied in the double en-suite room, the large decking area was great to chill out on and relax. We would return.

Had a wonderful stay at Robins Nest, the lodge had everything we needed.

My 4yr old daughter loved playing with all the games and toys which are in the lodge. The bedrooms are fab, lovely & clean. The kitchen had everything that you need and there is sky tv in the living room. Wi-Fi wasn’t great in the lodge, it wouldn’t pick up the sites Wi-Fi which was a bit rubbish but we were out most of the time so didn’t really matter. Would definitely stay in this lodge again.

We go to White Cross Bay twice a year and have stayed at a few different lodges now, Robin’s Nest was one of the best.

It was very clean and comfortable, there was only the two of us but they provide sky to, dvd’s and games for the kids so would be fantastic for a small family.We will be back

Bit of confetti still around on the floors but other than that couldn't fault it.

Robin’s Nest is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

The lodge is a short stroll from the lake and the seating area on the decking is very private and gets the sun all afternoon. It was nice to have the added extras in the lodge provided by the owners such as board games, DVD’s and books. The folder listing numerous walks with maps was also a nice touch. As a family we stay on White Cross Bay several times a year and would definitely book this lodge again.

Our stay at Robin's Nest was wonderful.

The lodge is so spacious and comfortable. It was great to have all of the games and DVDs, which my children enjoyed. We loved sitting and having a coffee onbthe decking, unfortunately the weather only allowed us to do this a couple of times. The location of the lodge is perfect, so close to the lake but also not far from the reception and bar area. I'm already planning my next visit!

Hi, firstly I would like to say We have no issues at all with the lodge as the owners really have thought of everything, all the little things make this a great lodge to stay in, it’s just a shame that it’s not on a different park as robins nest is great.

Our issue was that all activities must be booked prior, however the is nowhere to book them so when we arrived we was unable to do anything on site. Not at any point was we told by yourself we must book any activities,The costing for the ^pass^ that you publish is in correct and park dean told me they have informed you several times and done nothing about it,in fact they told me to never book with you guys again. it’s clear to me all you want to do is take our money and run. Zero help or support after this point. It was like being in isolation for 5 days. The restaurant had to shut on day 2 of our stay at 5pm for the remainder of the week so when everyone on site was expecting evening food, we/they was told to goto the on-site shop and purchase some food to cook at our lodge… guess what, the shop was shut, so lots of us couldn’t eat and had to wait until the following morning for the empty shop to open up. I’m very fortunate my kids are still not small, as it was overall very unsatisfactory. Lake District lodge really should consider removing the lodges for hire until they resolve the lack of support.

The chairs on the decking are worn.

One is not usable luckily there was only two of us. Other than that fantastic location. Easy access to all the wonderful places in the lakes. Definitely be back.

We attempted to use the the oven on our last night but it didn’t work- as it was gas decided not to keep trying.

So that was disappointing

Thank you for such a lovely stay in Robin's Nest, on our first family holiday with our 19month old.

We got a real sense of 'Home from Home' as soon as we walked through the door. The lodge was very clean & well equipped, it catered for our every need, even the toy box came in handy. The wrap around decking with a lockable gate was perfect for our little boy who loved playing outside & was able to do so safely. Robin's Nest was the perfect base for some lovely days out in the lakes and we will certainly look to return, hopefully in the not too distant future. Thanks again :)

Lovely weekend

This is a lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. We found Robins Nest to be a home from home, spotlessly clean and had everything we could possibly need. It is in an ideal location to visit many of the Lake District beauty spots and after a day out a lovely place to come back to and relax. Unfortunately we did not use any of the facilities which are available due to the Covid pandemic but would certainly like to return in the future. Thank you for a much needed break!
