We had a lovely stay at this lodge.

Beautiful surroundings and great location and clean site. If you want somewhere with good internet this would be it if you need to work whilst away. But for a nice location and caravan beautiful. I would say the worst part of this was the company for lack of communication and not getting back to me when I had a problem with the caravans plumbing

We've stayed in many different lodges in the Lakes over the years, and this was one of the better laid out and more spacious lodges we've stayed in.

It comfortably sleeps four and wouldn't feel cramped with four adults staying there. It's also situated in a quieter part of the site and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. However, there were a couple of areas that let it down. The bed in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable and probably needs replacing. The lodge could also benefit from a deep clean throughout. As it's a dog-friendly lodge we expected some signs of previous pets, but there was dog hair everywhere — including in the bath, toilet and on the bed sheets. The kitchen was clean and the bedding smelt fresh, but the amount of dog hair throughout the lodge was noticeable.

Just to note the mattress in main bedroom possibly needs replacing.

Everything else was great, kids loved it, the dog loved it and we really enjoyed our stay.

We will 100% be booking to stay again in the near future. A gorgeous lodge in a perfect location, the lodge was everything we needed for our time in the lakes. Beautifully decorated and super cosy! Mattress in the main bedroom is slightly lumpy but this could easily be fixed with a mattress topper. Couldn’t fault anything else.

This our second time staying at Snuggledown lodge.

The lodge is well equipped and has everything you need. It is very spacious, comfortable and homely and is perfect if you are bringing the dog. However, the lodge is in desperate need of a new mattress in the main bedroom as you can feel the springs. It also could have done with a deep clean as it was a little dusty on arrival. Sadly, we did feel that the holiday park wasn't as peaceful as our first experience and we purposely booked in early March in the hope we would have a quiet break.

Great week spent in Snuggledown, lodge was clean and cosy and had everything we needed.

Couple of issues but reported and were dealt with straight away, it would have been nice for a small welcome pack ! Welcome file was in box needs to be left out.

The lodge is beautiful looks exactly like the photos advertised, I have now stayed at snuggle down twice.

I definitely recommend that the lodge needs a deep clean there was a strong smell of damp as soon as we walked in which we thought the cleaners could of used a dirty mop so we opened the windows and the smell was still very strong for the 3 nights we were there, even stronger in the bathrooms. I dropped my sock down the back of the sofa and moved the sofa and they was lots of white dog hair behind there. Going back to the damp we rang the complex about this and they said they will note it down. Parking- parking was ok wasn’t too bad, lodge is in a nice place of the resort. The lodge has everything you could possibly need however I said this last year the mattress is definitely due an upgrade, WiFi wasn’t particularly the best. However, I would definitely stay again at snuggledown once it’s had a DEEP clean as that’s the only thing that has let it down this stay.

Was not happy with skyes cottages after you book with them you can't get in touch with them either by email or phone or text message after you book with them very disappointed in them the accommodation was lovely to stay in phyllis

Our fourth time on this site but different accommodations.

We have 2 dogs and one is very nervous. On entering the property the dogs welfare and also any hope of a restful holiday for us humans is on our minds and we all agreed Oh wow, floor to ceiling blinds! based on a quieter part of the park. As well as all the expected things like clean, comfortable, dog friendly as in easy to keep clean with a decent vac. We loved our time at snuggledown and have already booked for next year. A couple of things not quite right the freezer had drawers that had frozen closed, but still had some I could use and the bed mattress is getting to the end of its time but still comfortable enough. Any reactive dog owners will understand that if it's perfect for the dogs it's perfect for us. See you next year.

Everything you need in lodge really well stocked with all cutlery cleaning products really good location of the lodge but what was a big let down was the cleanliness of the lodge .

Put clothes in draws and cupboards when getting then out there was dust and bits all over clean clothes. Hairs all over the furniture found other guest left belongings in various places throughout the lodge. Carpets were filthy had to clean them ourselves which isn't good. If lodge had been clean it would have been perfect . Very happy with everything else but so unhappy about the cleanliness which has put us off about returning

Snuggle down was a brilliant lodge it had everything we needed for our break away, it was lovely and clean we couldn’t fault it at all we would definitely recommend it and would definitely stay in the future.

Just had a week’s stay, the lodge was very clean, comfortable and cozy, with 3 adults and a dog there was plenty of room.

5 minute walk to the lake, great location to get around the Lake District.

We had a great time.

The property had everything you could want. The beds were comfortable and it was a bonus having 2 bathrooms. We just loved the setting, lots of wildlife and just a 5 minute walk to the lake. It was a great base to get to other places. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and will certainly book again but for longer

Snuggledown was clean and comfortable, we throughly enjoyed our stay.

It had everything we needed, WI-Fi was poor but it did not spoil the holiday. Snuggledown was a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Lake District.

Property was beautiful and was amazing to find things like washing up liquid, tea towels etc already provided.

Little touches like this really make the difference. The downside was I don’t feel like it had been sufficiently cleaned prior to arrival. There was lots of dog hairs on the furniture and on the floor in the living area.

We had a fantastic week in this lovely lodge.

It was clean, comfortable and well furnished. The location is in a peaceful part of the park. The lodge has everything you need for your stay and the kitchen is well equipped. Owners were really helpful when we contacted Sykes with a query. Thanks again

Bought this break as a present for my parents in their 70/80s.

They absolutely loved it. It was perfect & they can't wait to go back. The setting was beautiful & accommodation spot on. Not a thing to criticise. Even the weather played ball!!

The lodge was clean tidy and in a great location

Me and my partner and 2 dogs stayed here for the weekend, our 2 friends came to visit, this lodge is exactly like the photos, so homely had everything you could need, very spacious, the only downfall I had was that the mattress’s weren’t comfortable, and I noticed that there was a lot of flies appearing in the main bathroom, however they are my only issues, would definitely recommend and rebook!

went at xmas no sign of any xmas at lodge had to biy some fairy lights grom garden center. power cut on xmas eve. beds amd couches old and very uncomfortable.

Wasnt happy that I had to clear the decking of the lodge from dog mess on arrival , sent pictures and reported this and was told basically it wasn't sykes fault so basically tough.

My concern is if this is expected what else is being overlooked regarding cleanliness. Rest of holiday was really enjoyable

We really enjoyed our stay at snuggledown, wonderful lodge in a peaceful location within the park, and just a short walk to the edge of lake Windermere!

We came up from the midlands to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary with our two dogs, and would definitely recommend to anyone considering visiting the lakes.

Real issues with cleanliness in the lodge.

Really disappointing to see a similar review in the last month that mirrors our experience. We moved the small sofa so not to get a bad neck due to the height of the TV. All sorts of rubbish and dog hair under there, same behind the large sofa - had to use the hoover ourselves to clean up. The windows in the living room are covered in cobwebs on the inside. The oven wasn't clean, very obvious to see how dirty the glass was when the light came on. The blinds in the main bedroom do not work, so are permanently down. The bathroom with the bath in, regularly smells of drains, particularly when it rains. We did experience the 'fridge rattle' - looks like lots of previous occupants have tried to fix the issue with kitchen roll stuffed in the frame, we've added our contribution. A real shame other people have commented on these issues but it would appear no action has been taken to fix the issues. Could be a nice lodge if these issues are resolved, but currently many nicer options on this site (we've tried many over the last 10 years)

We had a fantastic time in this lovely lodge in the lakes.

It was super cosy, comfy and clean. Couldn't fault it for what we needed :) thank you.

I will start with the positives which is the cabin is modern and the bathrooms were clean, but that is it.

The lodge is very dark and in a cramped area on the park. There were lots of issues, the bathroom had an awful damp smell, so much so we couldn't use it. The windows inside and out were filthy, so couldn't open the blinds and look at the awful windows. The blinds in the main bedroom don't work, one fell off the wall and one won't open, a blind in the hall wouldn't open too. The fridge kept randomly making a very loud humming noise. One of the windows in the kitchen constantly had condensation (the window needs replacing) all the soft furnishings smelt dirty and of wet dogs. To top it all off the cleanliness was absolutely shocking!! The beds had not been changed but made and pretended to have been. The kitchen floor had only been hoovered and mopped in the middle, round the edges were dirty, so I had to sweep up. There were food splatters on the cupboard doors and various crockery dirty. The blind in the kitchen kept dropping out various black bits of dirt. The outside area is also very grubby and not a nice space to sit out in. I did contact the local office about the beds and they did come and change them and bring clean towels too, I didn't mention anything else at the time as I didn't want cleaners around in the evening of check in and they were just going to make excuses. I did have a phone call on the Sunday from the company and explained everything but as yet, I have heard nothing back(which is what I expected) I would not recommend this lodge unless it has a massive deep clean and all issues fixed.

Lovely lodge that was very well equipped

The only suggestion I would make would be to have some over the door coat hooks apart from nowhere to hang damp coats everything else was well catered for.

Very comfortable only one problem the television high on the wall coursed us to have problems with our neck watching it, although there was a problem with the blind in the main bedroom contacting Sykes was a problem, we did try telephone ,email, and text to no avail, the staff from Parkdene were very helpful and managed to get contact after a long time, with Sykes, and the same day a man arrived and tried to repair it this had been broken on our arrival.

The cabin was very nice indeed.

Property was beautifully furnished/presented and location was great for families.

Sadly the kitchen is a little lacking of basic items for example there was no potato peeler, and only 3 drinking glasses. All items in kitchen were dirty with dried on food and stains when we arrived, so had to put through several dishwasher loads to clean them. The en suite had a very strong smell of urine. Other than these items that can be easily remedied with better cleaning, the lodge itself was lovely and we would recommend.

We had a lovey stay at Snuggledown We thought the pictures on the advert looked great but when we arrived it look so comfortable and clean.

The location is perfect. We know the area quite well But managed to find new places. One slight problem with a blind on the floor when we arrived. I called the maintenance number and they were there within the hour and it was promptly fixed. We would love to stay again.

Loved it wonderful location

Snuggle down is a beautiful lodge,very clean in a lovely setting not only did our 10 year old daughter enjoy her stay but so did our puppy Tilly.

Fantastic property faultless, very clean and comfortable, very well equipped with every utensil needed for your stay.

This is also in a fantastic location and on a lovely site. 100% recommended this cabin for a peaceful and relaxing break, if returning to the Lake District I would book this cabin again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Snuggledown as a base to explore the lakes and towns.

The cabin situated in an easy accessible location and close to a lots of amenities. We were warm and comfortable and found the place clean and welcoming. The kitchen was well provided for with many key essentials which made meal preparation easy while away. We would love to return to Snuggledown in the future, maybe in the summer so we could enjoy eating out on the deck with warmer and drier weather. The following is a few notes for the owners only. The intention is for improvements and adjustments. - The main bedroom cotton bed sheet is quite rough to lie on as it covering with hard nodules, may be due too many washing. - The kitchen hob light will not stay on. - one grey mug is chipped. Finally, thank you for having us.

The location is ideal. We already can’t wait to come back here, had a fantastic weekend!

We absolutely loved our time at Snuggledown.

The property had a luxury feel to it and there was everything you needed inside, particularly in terms of kitchen equipment. We loved the electric fire and it really quickly warmed up the living room in the mornings after just a few minutes. The location was perfect, just 3 miles to Ambleside, and again to Bowness in the opposite direction. Booths supermarket is just around the corner by car too. We will definitely be back!

We have had an amazing time and a lovely first family Christmas away from home. Snuggledown is just lovely. Very cosy, warm, modern and beautifully decorated with everything you could ever need. The kitchen was perfect, fully equipped with everything you could need and the dishwasher, a lovely addition. The cabin is very warm and toasty. Brought loads of jumpers expecting it to be cold but it was quite the opposite - even with poor weather. This has been our first Christmas away and definitely won’t be our last. Thank you and Kimmi says thank you for the doggy biscuits

What a lovely homely lodge.

There was everything you would need and more. Very clean and modern. The only positive criticism I have and its only a personal one is maybe a little Christmas tree for this time of year for children staying. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice warm property.

Everything we needed .Problem with netflix on first day,I walked over to reception and before I got back maintenance had been and got it sorted. We will certainly be back again.Our dog George enjoyed it also.
