Description

Snuggledown is a beautiful single-storey lodge snuggled away in the picturesque Lake District National Park, in Troutbeck Bridge, Cumbria.

This idyllic spot is the perfect place to get away from it all, with an inviting electric stove, close proximity to Windermere and an abundance of outdoor activities to explore.

Snuggledown is the ideal choice for families, friends or couples looking to relax and recharge in the beautiful countryside.

Step inside this single-storey lodge and prepare to be enchanted by its light and airy décor.

The spacious open-plan living space is the perfect spot for the family to gather, the kitchen is appointed with all the essentials for a week away and the dining area is wonderful for a spot of home-cooked feasting.

After tucking in, unwind in the sitting area, with an electric stove-effect fire providing the perfect ambience for a movie night on the Smart TV.

If the weather permits, why not take in the fresh air and admire the views from the front decking, complete with furniture where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining or a cold tipple.

When sleep calls, head down the hallway to the two bedrooms; a king-size with en-suite shower room, and a twin room.

Completing the interior is the family bathroom, perfect for an indulgent soak at the end of a long day.

In the morning, embark on a journey of discovery in the Lake District starting with Windermere, the largest natural lake in England, and a great spot for boat trips, fishing, and walking.

Explore the sights of Ambleside, a bustling town boasting an array of independent shops, cafes, and galleries, and take a leisurely stroll through the town's cobbled streets while admiring the beautiful architecture and scenery.

Explore the nearby villages and towns, take a walk along the River Leven and find yourself stumbling upon gems like the world-famous Blackwell and Holehird Gardens, or take a step back in time with visits to Wray Castle and The World of Beatrix Potter.

At Snuggledown, the Lake District awaits and memories are ready to be made.

A completely honest review of this what could be a very nice property.

Arrived to no electricity at property, property covered in dog hairs including over the bedding and sofas, dirty dishes in dishwasher not what I’d expect especially with an 11 month old baby, phoned agents on arrival and had no response so had to wash bedding and clean property(still no phone call or apology we had to chase on Monday) very bad drainage smell in bathroom. I wouldn’t expect to turn up to a property and have to clean and wash bedding made even worse after a long 5 hour drive. Location of property is ideal, WiFi non existent shouldn’t be advertised, definitely in need of a very thorough deep clean we moved the sofa as lost a baby toy and it definitely hasn’t been pulled out and cleaned under in a while( think the owner needs to start spot checking their cleaners now and then) if want a stress free holiday do not book this property as if you have issues you’ll get no help just an email with a case reference and zero apologies as apparently it’s acceptable to let your guests clean on arrival. Various bulbs out in property and visual signs of a roof leak.

Lovely place, single bed had a slope, but manageable.

Tv way too high on the wall, had to go to kitchen to watch. Very uncomfortable. Double bed very comfortable. Would go back lodge us lovely. We are thinking there’s a bees nest above the door as lots of bees hovering, we just left them alone but should be looked at. Loved our stay Thankyou.
