Wainwright is a spacious and nicely presented lodge located in the Kirkstone area of Limefitt Park. The lodge has stunning views across the playing fields towards the surrounding fells and Troutbeck Valley. Uniquely, it sleeps up to 5 guests offering a single third bedroom. The lodge is bright and tastefully decorated offering a welcome retreat after a day hiking or sightseeing. Wainwright Lodge is much sought after being one of only a few lodges at Limefitt Park that has a hot tub. Step into the spacious open plan lounge and dining area, where you will find ample room for relaxing after a day’s exploring with two leather sofas plus a bucket chair, the dining area offers the perfect place to enjoy a home cooked meal together will seating for six people around the dining table from this room the two patio doors leading onto the large decking area where you will find you own private hot tub. In the evening retreat into your choice of one of the three bedrooms this lodge has to offer. The master bedroom is lovely and spacious with a king size bed with walk in wardrobe and en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has twin beds, above bed storage, beside drawer, dressing table and wardrobe and the added bonus of a TV. The third and final bedroom. has a single bed, fitted wardrobe and bedside drawers. Serving second and third bedroom is the house bathroom, featuring a full-size Jacuzzi bath with over bath shower.

The park itself offers a host of facilities on-site to make your stay a breeze, with a convenience shop, a laundrette and a restaurant/bar serving delicious food, you’ll have all you need for your self-catered stay right on your doorstep. Excellent lodge on a lovely site , we were very pleased with the accommodation it was clean,modern,well equiped and very comfortable.
The hot tub proved to be a great hit with all the family.The Haybarn served good food at reasonable prices,we also walked the 15 mins(along the main road) to the Queens Head in Troutbeck which was lovely . Would definitely reccomend to family& friends.

BIG TIP for your next visit and particularly important with the dark nights drawing in. IF you decide to go to the Queens Head please Don’t walk on the road , if you turn right out of Limefitt Park about 50m along the road is a metal gate , go through it and you can then walk along the fields parallel to the road , there is a Gate opposite the Queens to get back onto the road . I think this is much safer .

Thanks for the great review. We try to keep the Lodge in tip top condition and usually visit once a month ourselves because we love the Lakes. The Hot tub is a top feature of Wainwright, we make sure it’s emptied and cleaned after every guest, and the chemicals are checked daily . We are constantly investing in the Lodge we recently had all of the doors and windows realigned to ensure they open and shut without sticking, this was in response to a guests feedback. We hope to see you again at Wainwright Lodge in the future.
We had a wonderful time at Wainwright Lodge, it was lovely and clean and had everything you could possibly need, the kitchen was fully kitted out and even had Prosecco glasses which was great for us

We had a great holiday in Wainwright Lodge - thankyou for hosting us!
Overall the lodge was very comfortable, warm and very well equipped, we made full use of the hot tub and falling into the supremely comfortable beds at the end of a day of walking and activities was really appreciated! This was our second stay on the park as we love the peace, wildlife, walking from the door, onsite pub and accessibility to the Lake District as a whole - we will return again! We have a couple of small points that the owner may wish to pay attention to to avoid big bills in the future - both of the patio doors and also the front door to the lodge need adjusting - they were difficult to open / close and took some slamming / getting used to - I'd suggest if these were adjusted on the hinges it may avoid replacement costs. Secondly the towels on arrival smelt musty, almost like they had been folded when damp rather than dry from the last laundry process - a small issue but one that could be corrected again easily. We would definitely recommend Wainwright Lodge and would stay again! Thankyou !
UPDATE July The Door Surgeon has now fixed ALL the sticky doors and windows . Thanks again for the feedback Thanks for your super positive review , we are delighted you had a great time at Wainwright Lodge . Thanks for the tip on the doors we have booked a Door “surgeon” to come out and adjust the doors so this should soon be resolved. Our cleaners apologises for the hand towels , she had used a different cleaning method , since you pointed this out she has reverted to the old way which has resolved the problem . Excellent location. Lodge is well appointed with everything you need. The sofa needs replacing, It is in really worn condition. When you pay that sort of money for a lodge you expect things like that to be right. Especially with the income to the lodge owner over the year. We would stay again but that would put us off.
Update 10:Feb 2026 . New Sofa purchased and now in Wainwright Lodge . Thanks for the feedback. Thanks for your feedback, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Wainwright, we agree it is in a beautiful spot looking up the valley. Glad you found everything you needed for a top stay , we do have a constant programme of renovations and renewal . With this in mind we are visiting Wainwright in a couple of weeks and will take some measurements to renew the Sofa over the close season in a few weeks time . Glad it wouldn’t put you off for a future visit we have invested a lot of money to maintain Wainwright in tip top condition with a new Hot Tub and a new kitchen in recent months . We stay at Limefitt 4 or 5 times a year and this is our go to log cabin. Situated with the best views and hot tub, wainwright cannot be beaten. Will be back soon and thanks again.

Our stay at Wainwright Lodge was great.
The lodge was modern and very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The hot tub was checked daily and the position of the lodge was ideal allowing brilliant views but privacy as well. Location ideal for visiting all around The Lakes. I would certainly come back and highly recommend it.

A lovely lodge in a great position!
We've been visiting Wainright Lodge since covid restrictions were lifted and it's are go to place for our family spring breaks.... Having the hot tub to come back to after a long day is just brilliant! We are hoping to return again next year, thanks again!
Dear Eve many thanks for your kind review, we do try to keep Wainwright in Top condition. We also love the Lakes in the Spring, and personally we also Love the Lakes at Halloween/Autumn . Our only problem was internet access on the 3rd day but reception and WiFi support team were brilliant at sorting it.

Lake District Lodge holidays were borderline impossible to get hold of prior to our stay which caused unnecessary inconvenience.
Lodge was great but a few niggles. It was freezing in December and we could only get the heating to come on for a few hours at a time so overnight it went off and our baby woke up cold. No plug sockets near the bed. Only one bath at for two bathrooms. Internet didn’t work as advised do we had to call technical support and pay for a connection.
We are very pleased you found Wainwright a great Lodge. Apologies for the heating, it is set on a Nest timer however you can adjust it on the wall in the Hall. There are plug sockets behind the bed in the main bedroom, but as you suggest not at the side of the bed. There is one Jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom, however the ensuite only has a shower, this is clearly indicated on the photos and documents for Wainwright Lodge. We pay an annual payment for WiFi and you should not pay, there is a encapsulated sheet with instructions for the WiFi in the main living room, apologies for this. In terms of LDLH we apologise on their behalf, they are normally very responsive. I hope this answers your niggles and we do hope to see you again in the New Year.
Really comfortable lodge .
Beds comfortable. We used jacuzzi. Plenty of utensils. For cooking. Showers good . Heating good when cold . The tea pot needs replacing. The spout was broke when we arrived but has been glued back on .down side pub was not open on site . Even though times said it was .

The Jacuzzi bath is a bonus and compliments the new Hot Tub . We constantly make sure we have a good selection of utensils in the kitchen. The heating is very efficient and soon warms the lodge up when its cold outside. Thanks for the tip on the Tea pot we have now replaced this. Apologies for the crossed wires on the onsite pub, LDLH's tell me everyone was notified of the Pub opening times over the Xmas period, clearly this didn't reach you, we hope it didn't spoil your stay. We had a fantastic week stay at Wainwright Lodge (Mon-Fri).
The location of the site itself was perfect - set in a stunning peaceful valley with incredible views but only a 8-12 minute drive to Ambleside, Windermere & Bowness. There’s a great pub on site with pool table, darts board & sky sports, plus a small conveince shop at reception. Booths supermarket is only 8 mins away too. The lodge itself was everything we could have asked for - clean, spacious, comfortable & ridiculously well equipped! The kitchen is a good size & had every pan & utensil you could need - pint glasses & plastic hot tub glasses were a bonus! The hot tub was powerful without being noisy & the views of the fields were bliss (plus we enjoyed spotting the occasional sheep!) Internet & smart TV in the lounge was spot on & check in and out was seamless. We couldn’t have asked for more, the owners have a gem on their hands with this one & we’re very much hoping to be booking again! 5* all round
Thank you so much for your kind review. We have invested in a NEW Kitchen and NEW Hot tub to try to make our Lodge a great place to stay with all the necessary amenities . We also bought all new bath towels because a guest said they needed to be a little larger, so we do try to take on board the advise of our guests. The WiFi is excellent with great back up and we have the Large Smart TV . We are personally in the Lodge next week so we will give everything a check and an extra clean , we then we have guests up until the New Year when Limefitt closes for a few weeks in the winter. Beds and sofas were extremely comfortable.
But the lodge wasn’t clean. Weird residue on cutlery. Cobwebs everywhere inside and especially outside the lodge. When you open a door from the outside there’s colonies of insects living inside the door frames. WiFi never worked, TV wouldn’t connect to any type of network, luckily we brought an XBOX down. Honestly if there was a little more effort on cleaning the lodge, it would of easily been 4 stars
We have just returned from a week at Wainwright Lodge, infact we arrived as you left. Making it opportune to reply to your feedback. We are not sure about the weird residue on the cutlery? we have a dishwasher and there wasn't any residue on anything when we arrived so thanks for cleaning off whatever you found. There are Cobwebs are on the outside of the Lodge, infact (and we had a walk around site to check) there are Cobwebs on pretty much every Lodge. This said we cleaned them all off, this is normally done when required by ourselves, or our window cleaner, so apologies for this. I checked indoors for Cobwebs and I found 2 small one hidden in a corner, again apologies and these have now been cleaned. I opened and checked the 3 main doors and every window and I couldn't find any insects, honestly I have no idea about the colonies living in the door frames, they certainly aren't there now. The Lodge was cleaned 6 times in August alone, it is absolutely immaculately clean. We also gave it a super clean as well before we left. The WiFi was working throughout your visit, it powers the Google Thermostat and WiFi for the TV, the heating always worked so the WiFi must have been was running. The TV however had been disconnected, also all the Colour/Contrast/Brightness etc had been adjusted to max, perhaps children ?. The only WiFi onsite is Parkdean WiFinity , I called their helpline and the TV was reconnected within 2 minutes. I understood you had been given the WEiFinity Helpline number. However to avoid the problem in future for other guests we have put the Help number on the back of the vinyl about WiFi in the Lodge below the TV itself, any problems give them a call they are very Helpful. The lodge was fabulous the pool staff and staff at the pub was amazing however the facilities were lacking we would use the lodge again but the site facilities are rubbish
We are delighted you thought the Lodge was Fabulous as we have invested in the NEW Kitchen and the New Hot tub to make it a great place to stay. Saying the site facilities are rubbish is a bit harsh, we think it depends on what you are looking for, there are 2 great Pubs within walking distance, dog walking area, many many great walks starting from Limefitt, and a football pitch/play areas for the children. However I suppose its fair to say these things are focused to appeal most to Dog owners, walkers, and cyclists.
Really enjoyed our stay, lovely presented lodge and everything we needed, however, the sofas were covered in dog hair and crumbs as we arrived so had to hoover them ourselves.
Not usually an issue as we have a dog ourselves so understand this is likely but looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Other than that our stay was perfect and we would recommend others to stay.
Delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Wainwright Lodge and you had a perfect stay. We can only apologise that the sofas had some dog hairs and crumbs on them, the Lodge is given a good clean after every visitor and the Hot Tub has a full water change and new chemicals. We've been visiting Wainright Lodge since 2020, this year we loved the new kitchen and hot tub upgrades.
..! Views from the deck are lovely and it was a very peaceful, enjoyable week! We've booked again for April next year, our little boy had a fab time and wanted to return! As did we all!

We loved our stay at the lodge.
Fluffy towels and the most comfortable beds we have slept in!! The hot tub was a gods send when it rained non stop, and the facilities in the kitchen were great. The showers were hot and powerful, and the heating very efficient. All five of us, plus the dog really enjoyed our stay! The only small thing would be there was only one hand wash in the en-suite, which we moved to the main bathroom, so we didn’t use the en-suite toilet as there was nothing to wash our hands with. If we had known in advance we would have brought some extra with us.

NEW for 2024 is the BRAND NEW HOT TUB which we just had installed, also NEW for 2024 is the BRAND NEW KITCHEN, all stocked with an excellent array of equipment. Sorry you were a hand soap short, we have one in each bathroom now.
Just returned from a lovely Christmas break on arrival was greeted by a beautiful Christmas tree and gifts from the owners which was a lovely welcome and kind.
This is our 9th visit to limefitt and this is the nicest lodge we have stayed in especially the location and view from the hot tub. We also brought our dog who had a wonderful time, no washing machine but to be honest a great laundrette on ste. We will definitely be back in 2024 Chris mel & Ernie

We take great pride in Wainwright and visit quite a lot ourselves during the year to ensure everything is in tip top condition, it is a spacious Lodge and one of the largest Lodges at Limefitt Park. The Hot Tub is brand NEW and we agree one hundred percent that when you are in the Tub the view up the valley is fantastic. We wish you a very Happy New Year, and hope to see you again in 2024.
This is our second stay here and we love the lodge its spacious and clean and also in a great location, the hot tub is an added bonus and great to relax in after a long day walking.
Everything we needed was provided in the lodge and we thoroughly enjoy coming here for a week in December for my Husbands birthday. My only quibble is i was ready to book again when we returned for next December but can see the price has gone up by nearly 150 for the same week we stayed this year, is there a reason for this massive increase in price
Thank You very much for your kind review and for visiting Wainwright Lodge for a second time we do appreciate this and are delighted you love the Lodge. We have increased the price for 2024 although the price for 2023 hardly changed from 2022. During these two years we have faced huge increases in the Park Dean "pitch fees" for the Lodge, along with increases in Gas and Electric, the rates, the water bills and cleaning charges, in effect the much discussed "cost of living" increases. In addition to this we are investing a lot of money to keep Wainwright Lodge in top condition, we installed a brand new Hot Tub in November '23 and we are having a new kitchen with new floors and complete redecoration, this is being completed during the Winter 2023 shutdown of Limefitt Park. I hope this explains why the price has gone up but we do hope to see you again in 2024
Thoroughly enjoyed our week stay in Wainwright this is the second time we have stayed in this lodge.
The only comment I would make is regarding cleaning the main living area. The cleaners need to move the two sofas and clean beneath them, we had to move them to find the dogs ball and actually ended up cleaning this area ourselves which was not ideal as the dust was quite thick and full of dog hair (which you would expect). This is our only negative comment - we look forward to staying at Wainwright again in the near future.

Since your feedback we have asked our cleaner to make an effort to clean regularly under the sofas. We also visited ourselves after you left and stayed for a week, during this time we gave Wainwright an extra clean as well. Can I also add that we have just had a brand NEW Hot Tub fitted so we do hope to see you for another visit in Wainwright Lodge in the New Year.
Lodge situated in a lovely place with view of the hills, playing field where Roe deer and sheep visit.
Hot tub was perfect after long walks around the Lakes. Nice walks around the site into the hills. On site pub also nice to visit, serving food too. Site is very well maintained and clean. Site only a short distance from Windermere and the main road leading to Ambleside and Grasmere so perfect for day trips. We really enjoyed our stay here.

We visit the Lodge regularly to make sure its in perfect condition for our guests. We love the Lake District and always find something new to do every time we go. Lovely accommodation in a great location.
Fabulous views and very well equipped. The cleaning however was a little disappointing, crisps in the sofa and lots of dust/debris under the beds. Wouldn’t stop us returning, but would be good if the level of clean was improved.
A well equipped Lovely Lodge in a great location with fabulous views, this does sum up Wainwright Lodge, thank you for these comments. In terms of the cleaning we have had a chat with our cleaner who has given the Lodge an extra clean, apologies for the dust under the beds. We are visiting our Lodge soon and we will also give it a clean whilst we are there. We hope to have you back soon.

Had it not been for the following we would have rated top marks.... *lodge description inaccurate (no private wifi) *no coffee maker upon arrival (thank you for providing mid stay) *hot tub water level kept dropping and required me to call for service (they said they were due to come with engineer during our stay and that we should have been informed which we were not) *some cooking oil would have made our meals run smoother- would have expected this as a basic along side the salt and pepper *no instruction on location of DVD player meant we didn't locate it for days given it was in such an obscure location The location was great and the beds comfortable. The availability of a fan and cot made our stay with a 2 year old much better given the heat. Some bug screens or similar for the patio doors would be very useful for your guests given the closeness to trees/forest. We were covered in bites by time we left.
i will try to answer the comments and feedback you made. In terms of WiFi Wainwright Lodge now has the brand new private Park Connect+ Fast WiFi which is provided by ParkDean. Apart from running the Smart TV its also capable and perfect for running software like Microsoft Teams, I use Teams with no issues when working from the Lodge. Although the Advert had not been updated this High speed WiFi was running throughout your visit, we have however amended the Ad to avoid confusion. The Cafetiere was missing as you suggest, unfortunately this must have been broken by a previous visitor and unfortunately this hadn't been reported to us, we however replaced it with a new one immediately. The Hot Tub water level was a bit low and this was rectified immediately . As I suggested in previous reviews, any issues with the Tub please ask the Tub guys and they will sort it promptly, they visit daily. Provision of cooking oil, its not really possible for us to maintain a fully stocked kitchen i'm afraid. Sorry you couldn't find the DVD if you had asked when you asked about the Cafetiere we could have told you where it was. As a further comment not many people ask for the DVD now it seems to have been replaced by using the Smart TV. I'm glad the cot and Fan we provided were useful . We spent the week in Wainwright Lodge prior to your arrival and I guess we must have been lucky as we didn't get a single bite! Perhaps its best to close the patio door to keep the bugs out. Lovely lodge well thought out and cared for.
Loved all the small details pictures etc. very comfortable and easy to use. Location super, wonderful views and loved having use of the hot tub. Small bedroom was noisy from electrical humming all night!
Delighted that you thought Wainwright was a lovely lodge, we really do make a lot of effort to keep it in tip top condition. The Lodge location is excellent with views up the valley, in or out of the Hot Tub ! The humming is the noise that the Hot Tub makes, its on continuously to keep the temperature regulated, there isn't actually anything wrong with it, its just the gentle hum that it makes.
What a fantastic lodge!
We had a great week's stay at Wainwright Lodge and the view has to be the best on the park! We did have a problem with the hot tub leaking however this was fixed promptly and everyone was extremely friendly and sorted the issue whilst we were out exploring. We would 100% stay here again.
Wainwright is a fantastic lodge, one of the biggest on Limefitt park and boasting a Hot Tub as well. We are delighted you had a great weeks stay. Glad the Hot Tub issue was resolved promptly, we commit a lot of time to Hot Tub maintenance, before each new guest the water is changed and the tub cleaned, and we have a tub guy visit everyday to check the chemical levels. Brilliant property!
Only issue I had was the hot tub would go into fault mode a few times. I turned it off/on and this resolved.
Glad you thought Wainwright was a brilliant property. Not sure about the problem with the tub ? seems ok now. We take great care with the tub, the water is changed and the tub cleaned before each new guest and we have a tub guy visit everyday to check the chemical levels. Dish washer no working correct, and the fridge door doesn't shut correctly have to give it a good push to ensure it is closed Holiday was wonderful, have stayed there two times before and will continue to stay in future

I really like this property - can't wait to stay again - I would book today but paying 30% deposit straight after your holiday is too much I will save up over a few months and then hope it isn't booked.
Wainwright is a great Lodge, one of the largest on Limefitt Park, with the benefit of a Hot tub of course. We are pretty much full through the Summer but have some space in the Autumn , we always love to do the Pumpkin Festival at Halloween, perhaps one to think about . Many Thanks for your kind Review.

We use the Lodge ourselves quite often and we always spend time in the Hot Tub which we ensure is emptied and cleaned before each new guest arrives also the chemicals in the tub are checked twice a day. Wainwright has great views and is a great place to visit.
We had an amazing time at the lodge, made lots of memories as we was central to everything ,we even climbed scafell pike,so the hot tub definitely was needed that night lol .

The lodge was a home from home in a perfect, peaceful beautiful setting! Everything was there even a rolling pin!!!! The lodge was pristine! The beds were comfortable and again pristine! The lodge was beautiful, very clean, very spacious, lots of cooking and cutlery implements.
Bathrooms were clean and spacious and lots of clean towels were provided. We did have an issue with the hob which if you were doing a lot of cooking could have been a problem as it was difficult to light. The main reason we booked this lodge was for the hot tub which was situated on the decking overlooking the mountains which was lovely. Unfortunately the hot tub did not work correctly, it was hot but the jets were not working to full capacity, we reported this and somebody came out to check it, they were unable to resolve the issue and based on the information they provided it seems that there is a on going issue with the hot tub. It was very disappointing as this was a main feature of our break, and I feel that if it was an ongoing issue maybe we could have been informed prior to us arriving, and some kind of resolution could have been reached, regarding either another lodge or a monetary reduction.
We are delighted you thought Wainwright Lodge was beautiful, spacious and very clean. We have really focused on cleanliness during the Covid period and will continue to do so. Thanks for your comments about the Hot Tub, we have had the Tub checked by an Engineer, as you said it was working but one jet was weaker, we are pleased to say as of 19th November the Engineer managed to restore the power to that jet and the Tub is now operating at 100% efficiency.

We constantly invest in our Lodge to make sure it is always fully equipped. We also invest in quality Bed Linen to ensure you have a cosy and comfortable nights sleep.
The lodge itself was perfect and very dog friendly.
Our experience was somewhat marred by the fact that the lodge had not been cleaned and we had to wait a further 2 1/2 hours after we arrived to access the lodge. This being said I would definitely stay here again.

This is our 3rd trip to Limefitt Lodges, we booked the Wainwright lodge on the day we returned from a brilliant break as lockdown was easing Summer 2020 but unfortunately this break we encountered a few issues.
Firstly we would like to say the lodge is in a nice location, not overlooked with the added bonus of a hot tub and the guy who came out every day was very pleasant and friendly, all staff on site including the Haybarn were very friendly. We had problems with the fridge keeping food cool, this was reported and somebody came out while we were out and an email was received saying the fridge was working fine and implied the vents were blocked, by this time we had to throw out fresh produce and had ice packs inside to try and keep butter cool including a birthday cake. There was no improvement to the coolness of the fridge for the duration of our holiday, it was last tested in 2018 we would recommend a service. We also had a power cut for 7 hours, which was also reported and it came back on the morning we were leaving which spoilt our last evening. We would like to address, as have other recent visitors regarding the huge price increases for 2022, we booked this lodge in July 2020 for £1134.00 for 7 nights in 2021 and the same week if we wanted to return in July 2022 is £2030!! Even with the effects of covid 19 and inflation this price increase is unethical and unjustified. Unfortunately as other visitors have commented you have outpriced us returning.
Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted that you appreciated the excellent position of Wainwright Lodge with its delightful views up the valley, of course best viewed from the Hot Tub! Our apologies for the fridge it seems that it was working intermittently, this said we replaced it with a new Fridge Freezer unit on Friday. It has been difficult to source a replacement with poor availability and delayed deliveries at the moment. In the interim we had a temporary unit in place. The power cut was throughout the site and is very unusual and outside of our control. Please accept our apologies. In terms of the pricing this runs on a dynamic model, and higher prices are based on higher demand, however if the Lodge has lower demand the prices will fall. Please be reassured that all our guests who booked throughout the pandemic and had to cancel due to Covid were all given full no quibble refunds.

Regarding the price, the prices for July 2022 have increased and you may see a larger difference due to your booking being made back in 2019 and having to be moved twice due to the pandemic. A lot has happened with Covid in that time during which we have honoured the prices our lodge was booked at and given full no quibble guarantees throughout. It would be our pleasure as owners to have you visit our lodge again in the future.
This lodge is looking tired and the photographs on you website do not portray the true condition of the fixtures fittings and furniture
Thank you for your feedback. We are disappointed with your comments but I can assure you the photographs were only taken about 18 months ago. Since then the biggest change has been the upgrade of the 65inch TV and supporting personal WiFi. We have also removed some of the soft furnishings and ornaments in line with Covid recommendations. Wainwright is our own personal Lodge and we invest in the fixtures and fittings continuously and we will continue to do this as we move forward.

We had a fantastic stay at Wainwright Lodge, everything was clean and tidy when we arrived.
Plenty of space and wifi with built in Netflix on the main tv was great for the evenings. The Hot Tub was brilliant, we used this ever night after our days of exploring. We ate from The Haybarn and the food was delicious, our dog, George, enjoyed the dog field and he also enjoyed watching the sheep and lamb from our decking that came to visit each night. Can’t wait to return!
It is great to receive your super positive feedback comments, we have focused even more than ever on cleanliness throughout the covid period with extra attention on all elements of the cleaning regime for Wainwright Lodge. We also visit ourselves on a regular basis to make sure we are personally happy with everything. The superfast Wainwright Lodge dedicated WiFi means not only is the 60 inch TV is great but it is also possible to work from the Lodge when necessary. Oh and glad George enjoyed his stay.

Just got back from the Lake District and we stayed at Wainwright Lodge. A well equipped property that is beautifully furnished and very comfortable and relaxing. A perfect family holiday in beautiful surroundings
Wainwright Lodge is located on a site with many other lodges and facilities such as a nice pub, laundrette, dog walking field, picnic spots, play area for kids and a shop! That being said, it still has a really rural remote feeling to it, because the site itself is in such a beautiful location surrounded by nature walks up hills, and fields with sheep! Its an easy 10 minute drive to Windermere, so perfectly located. The lodge itself probably has the best view in the house with a beautiful, always warm hot tub overlooking great scenery (and the stars at night are something special)! It is comfortable whilst not feeling cramped with a modern fitted kitchen and all the mod cons, the bed was SUPER comfy (we actually bought a new duvet when coming home because of how comfy this one was)!! It has a smart TV with all the apps (for people wanting to chill out) and stays lovely and warm throughout. The game changer for us was that they were both dog friendly AND baby friendly as this was our first family holiday all together and I wouldn't have changed a single thing. We had an amazing time here, I would absolutely recommend it to anyone and want to come back!! What did you enjoy most about your stay? Christmas break
We went to wainwright lodge for Christmas 2020, we had an amazing time. The lodge is cosy and has everything you need, a little tired in need of a few touch ups other than that it was perfect. We had an issue with WiFi and even when reported nothing was done to rectify this, with it being Christmas we planned on using Facebook portal to see family which without the WiFi we were unable to do. The hot tub is great with an amazing view probably the best spot on the site view wise. The site has a pub which at the moment is closed but a little up the road was a lovely pub called the Queens head, there is a dog field and park which was great for my daughter and two dogs we took with us. Great place for winter we even got snow on Christmas Day. Prefect break, we even tried to extend our stay but it was already booked up and hoping to book for next Christmas. Highly recommend. Park Rules and Operations – Limefitt:
All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.
Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.
You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.
Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.
Hot Tubs
For the comfort of other holidays guests we request that noise is kept to a minimum. Usage of the hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only. If you are found to breach these timings then you may be asked to vacate the park with no call for a refund.
All hot tubs are maintained to strict industry standards and HSE guidelines by separate qualified independent contractors on behalf of the property owners. This includes changing the water between guest stays and checking the water condition on a regular basis.
Whilst every effort is made to have a hot tub ready for immediate use by the arrival time stated, this may not always be possible. In such cases the hot tub will usually be ready to use later that day unless otherwise advised. In such cases no compensation or refund is payable unless the hot tub is faulty.
Information about using a hot tub safely is provided at all lodges with a hot tub and on a prominent notice near the tub. All hot tub users should wear an appropriate bathing suit. Usage of a hot tub is at a guests own risk and Lake District Lodge Holidays accepts no liability for anything which may happen to a guest as a direct result of using a hot tub.
Wainwright Lodge has its own complimentary WiFi. "Parkdean Customer" will automatically take you to a log in page. Click on sign up, enter your name & Email address then create your own password. Your details will be kept for twelve months and can be used, during that time, on any Parkdean site. After twelve months, your details will be removed from the system. WiFi is for personal use only and is not intended for high data usage, gaming and/or use for business purposes.
