But the lodge wasn’t clean. Weird residue on cutlery. Cobwebs everywhere inside and especially outside the lodge. When you open a door from the outside there’s colonies of insects living inside the door frames. WiFi never worked, TV wouldn’t connect to any type of network, luckily we brought an XBOX down. Honestly if there was a little more effort on cleaning the lodge, it would of easily been 4 stars
We have just returned from a week at Wainwright Lodge, infact we arrived as you left. Making it opportune to reply to your feedback. We are not sure about the weird residue on the cutlery? we have a dishwasher and there wasn't any residue on anything when we arrived so thanks for cleaning off whatever you found.
There are Cobwebs are on the outside of the Lodge, infact (and we had a walk around site to check) there are Cobwebs on pretty much every Lodge. This said we cleaned them all off, this is normally done when required by ourselves, or our window cleaner, so apologies for this. I checked indoors for Cobwebs and I found 2 small one hidden in a corner, again apologies and these have now been cleaned. I opened and checked the 3 main doors and every window and I couldn't find any insects, honestly I have no idea about the colonies living in the door frames, they certainly aren't there now. The Lodge was cleaned 6 times in August alone, it is absolutely immaculately clean. We also gave it a super clean as well before we left.
The WiFi was working throughout your visit, it powers the Google Thermostat and WiFi for the TV, the heating always worked so the WiFi must have been was running. The TV however had been disconnected, also all the Colour/Contrast/Brightness etc had been adjusted to max, perhaps children ?. The only WiFi onsite is Parkdean WiFinity , I called their helpline and the TV was reconnected within 2 minutes.
I understood you had been given the WEiFinity Helpline number. However to avoid the problem in future for other guests we have put the Help number on the back of the vinyl about WiFi in the Lodge below the TV itself, any problems give them a call they are very Helpful.
