..Amazing!! A beautiful quiet place and the owners very friendly and supportive I absolutelly recommend the lodge!

The step was a little high and the shower could use a shelf because there is not much room to pick things up on the floor.

Amazing location and lovely clean and comfy Lodge, everything you could want for a short stay.

Even the bed and sofa were very comfy and kitchen was well equipped. We will be returning to this Lodge as the location and views were great.

Views are stunning, few things that brought our score down major one was no provision to put clothes away, no hanging space and no drawers so it meant living out of your suitcase.

We bought a mobile hanging rail from tesco's in the village. No cooker just 2 rings wasn't major problem just slightly inconvenient. Bed was not to comfortable but sufficed. We were due to stay 9 nights I think if you were only staying a couple of nights there wouldn't have been a problem. Really unfortunate for us the weather was dreadful it rained every day, so with 3 small dogs we gave up and came home after 4 nights. But despite this the pod was lovely and cosy and I must say spotless. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

Lovely time and Cleugh Lodge, clean, tidy and everything we needed.

The views and surrounding area were absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately the day we arrived was extremely hot which mixed with a wooden pod is not a good combination. Please consider the heat when booking (take a fan) as you only have the small window, double doors as ventilation. We have 2 well behaved small dogs and it does state it’s not fenced in but it was extremely difficult to keep the doors open and watch 2 dogs as chickens are walking freely at random times around the garden area. As it was our dogs first encounter with chickens their curiosity got the better of them so they had to be kept on their leads at all times when we had the doors open. We just couldn’t relax while in the pod. It did cool down with the rain but it was still extremely hot inside the pod. I’m glad I read the reviews before arrival as it lacked the small things that other pods we have stayed in had, like condiments, washing up liquid, as its dog friendly dog bowls these are things that have been supplied in other places we have stayed. I did bring my own fortunately but to me It’s the small things that make a difference. There was also no book to write reviews in which we found unusual. It didn’t have a homely feel like other places we have stayed which was a shame and the bed was also extremely uncomfortable. I really have tried not to be too negative and don't want to put anyone off as it is a lovely pod and very clean but it is lacking all of the above in our opinion. All in all though we had a lovely break in Scotland as always

Great position very nice lodge.

Surprised there was no washing up products, or cloths and no cleaning equipment or products other than a dustpan and brush. Very comfortable and the bulldog loved it but not the chicken!! Very quiet and tranquil. A very good stay we would recommend.

A truly fantastic place to stay, so spacious and well equipped.

The cabin has a really well thought out lay out and the views were breathtaking. Watching the lightning storm roll through the valley was just as beautiful as seeing it in bright sunshine. Strong WiFi connection made it easy for me to work from ‘home’ and with a view like that it was actually enjoyable. If you’re a bird lover this is the place for you, birds of prey, corvids, swifts and finches, they’ve got them all. I will be recommending this place to everyone and coming back soon.

This is the third time myself, my wife and our dog have stayed here, and we will stay here again, as it's a lovely spacious pod, comfortable, well kept, and clean.

It has great views in a quiet setting. The pod is just over a mile outside the town of Lockerbie with great train links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Carlisle and Dumfries. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we cannot recommend staying here enough.

We were due to stay at Cleugh Lodge but due to the extremely cold weather we were moved into Dryfe Lodge, We were given an extra heater, but to be honest we didn’t need it.

The lodge was warm enough with out it. The property owner was very responsive to any queries or requests we had. We met his parents a few times who were checking to make sure we had no issues with water etc. They were lovely and gave us a few ideas on some good walks to do with the grandchildren and dog. We have stayed at both lodges before and they are both very comfortable and perfect for a base to stay and explore Scotland. Our grandsons and dog love it there. I am sure we will stay there again.

Getting away from noisy fireworks was a real treat and peaceful. Very kind hospitality from Christine providing us with some welcoming gifts.

Great sized pod, comfortable and clean, good location to explore local are and further afield.

I think you should add some beautiful views of the view from the lodge, was one of the highlights and we didn’t realise how amazing it was going to be

Great accommodation clean and tidy but severely lacking wardrobe space, also issues with getting out of bed in the middle of the night.

Best Holiday ever!

!! We stayed in one of the lodges for 2 weeks and we couldn't believe the kindness and hospitality of the owners. They made a lovely and memorable holiday for us with all the care and love they put into making guests happy. The lodge was really comfortable, a great sofa and an orthopaedic mattress. It was also very clean. It's a very peacefully and quiet area, perfect for an "away from the city-stress holiday". There are plenty of places to visit and also Glasgow and Edinburgh are just one hour train away. We enjoyed every minute there and had a very relaxing time on the lodge and walking around the fields, towns and forest. The sights are stunning from the lodge. There is a very comfortable garden with BBQ facing the fields, perfect to enjoy the sunset while having a nice dinner. It's worth every penny! We are definitely coming back. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience!

We had a lovely weekend at the lodge.

It was in a beautiful location and it was ideal for a quiet relaxing weekend. Welcome pack was a great surprise and had everything we needed to get our weekend started. Hope to return soon.

Amazing and well built pods.

My wife was especially impressed with the kitchen and bathroom facilities. Owner was very helpful and friendly to talk to . Will defo be back . Having bbq and coals supplied , aswell as the wee welcome pack provided. Only thing I would say was we weren't able to find how to turn the heated towel rail in the bathroom off , which made the pod pretty warm at night .

We had a wonderful weekend and we couldn't ask for more.

What an amazing experience.

I was there for 5 nights and the stay was perfect. The view from the pod is beautiful, you aren't over-looked at all and the space from the next pod is really well thought out. If you are looking for a getaway, to explore the local area or to just stay in chill this is a perfect place to both. I will be back in the future to stay again.

This little pod is wonderful.

It was cosy and clean and very private. The views are lovely. I stayed with my two children and they loved it. I would highly recommend this property.

One minor issue was that my wife has knee issues and she found the step up to the cabin was a little high, probably not affect most people.

Totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely use again. Probably go back with better weather to appreciate the outdoor space more.

Met our expectations and more.

We were after a relaxing short break with our dog and booked four nights at Cleugh Lodge. The Lodge was clean, well equipped and the owner had left a lovely welcome pack of butter, milk, bread and orange juice. The lodge was warm and cosy with lovely views, even in howling winds and torrential rain! Our spaniel loved the grass area where he could play with his ball and didn’t want to leave. We would recommend Cleugh Lodge to anyone with a four legged friend who wants a base to tour Scotland.

Clough Lodge was fabulous with a reall comfortable home from home feeling.

Excellent accommodation, clean and immaculate inside and outside.

The owners are friendly, and were very keen to make sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay. Nice views from the lodge and plenty of dog walks close by, we enjoyed our stay.
