    “Enjoyed our stay at squirrel lodge, quiet site & Lovely village, had a lovely meal in white swan, and also lovely Indian meal.”

    The only improvement would be to make sure oven is cleaned properly, & maybe put some homely bits in, (I.e a rug, pictures, etc just to make it feel more homely,) also furniture wasn’t very comfortable u seem to sink down into chairs, and then it’s a hard job trying to get out, especially my 82 yr old mother had a struggle, perhaps a wingback chair in there would cater for older people. Other than that we had a lovely time.

The property

This superb, detached ground floor lodge is situated on the outskirts of Gargrave alongside the River Aire amongst a small development of luxury lodges.

This modern lodge has been skilfully constructed with excellent features.

Presented to a high standard with contemporary styling throughout, the lodge is spacious and comprises an open plan living area with a designer kitchen with a Belfast sink, a breakfast bar, dining area and a sitting area with lovely views through the full length windows out across the park to open countryside.

There is a lovely master bedroom with an en-suite containing a state-of-the-art shower.

A further twin bedroom and superb bathroom add further to the first-class feel of this lovely lodge.

Bi-fold doors from the living room lead out onto the front decked area which is ideal for relaxing.

This property is lovely and cosy in the winter.

This fantastic lodge is just a short walk from Gargrave where you will find some excellent amenities.

There are many walks available in the area and the canal is just a short stroll away where you can go on some lovely bike rides, perhaps all the way to nearby Skipton.

The surrounding area is ideal for walkers and cyclists and this lodge provides an ideal base to return to at the end of the day.

Skipton 4 miles; Settle 12 miles.

A pretty village on the banks of the River Aire, around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton — “The Gateway to the Dales” — with its historic castle and celebrated high street. On the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is an ideal location for walking, cycling and touring.
