Glen Lea

This is lovely accommodation.

It is well appointed and, unlike the previous two properties we rented from Sykes, was actually in a good situation. Sadly the lounge furniture looks great but is uncomfortable as it is so deep and saggy, but that is quite a subjective thing. Getting out of the driveway needs care due to visibility. However, we would still return as it is close to our friends and such a great place with a lovely energy about it.

This was our 3rd visit to Glen Lea and we are looking at booking again for next year.

The accommodation is perfect in every way for us.

This is a lovely bungalow which is in immaculate condition.

Immaculately clean and well presented. Great location for walking into Settle and heading out into the Dales by car or bus. The bus stop is right outside.

A gem of a place to stay in Settle, clean, warm, comfy and well equipped.

Walkable to the station and to the shops. Booths, is an absolute MUST. had a lovely holiday here and owner is very responsive.

We had a great stay in Glen Lea.

The accommodation was really well equipped and had everything we needed. It was a short walk into Settle for the supermarket, coffee and treats. Really relaxing, comfortable stay. We'll be back!

This was far the best holiday let we have stayed in.

I have to say the interior photos do not do it justice. Absolutely stunning. So spacious Super comfy furnishings and beds Spotless and very tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend Easy walk in to settle

This was an excellent property, very well maintained.

We booked a long weekend at the cottage to attend a wedding at Falcon Manor. The Manor had no lift and we needed ground floor accommodation for one of our party who was unable to negotiate the stairs. We loved the fresh flowers and the welcome food hamper - much appreciated, thank you!

Lovely property in a lovely and picturesque Village.

The parking was a bonus and the garden was very well kept. The house was very clean and we had an amazing time there. It's only 15 minutes from Settle and around 10 minutes from the two local pubs in the village centre. We would definitely go back. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage.

Comfortable and stylish with everything you needed to hand. The welcome hamper was very generous and thoughtful. We spent a lot of time in the garden too which was just as stunning as the house. We received a message from the owner shortly before we arrived telling us the cottage was ready which was a nice personal touch.

We all enjoyed glen lee it was perfect everything you needed was there lovely property spotlessly clean welcome pack was lovely carnt say anymore would definitely go back.

This is a beautiful cottage with a gorgeous garden and it is very well furnished with everything you need.

We will definitely go back and take bikes next time as it has bike storage in the garage.

Glen Lea provided the perfect base for our holiday exploring the hiking opportunities available around Settle, Giggleswick, Malham, Horton in Ribblesdale, Hawes and Hardraw.

Our 7 night stay enabled us to get in 6 really fulfilling days of walking, including the Yorkshire 3 Peaks (on separate days I hasten to add), Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet’s Fosse, Hardraw Force and some general hiking around the area. Glen Lea is well appointed and well equipped, with a lovely enclosed garden in which to relax with a cuppa after an active day. We cooked on 3 nights in the lovely kitchen and dined at The Black Horse in Settle on the other nights. Off road car parking is provided, and although this did not apply to us, bicycles can be stored securely in the attached garage. We had wonderful weather, but in the event of drying being needed the property does have a washing machine and drier. A friendly message from the property owner as we headed towards it on our first day also made us feel very welcome, a lovely touch PAUL

This is a superb small property, wonderfully maintained, and affectionately cared for.

Tucked away at the edge of the village, beautifully created mature garden with lovely outdoor furniture, around 15 minutes walk to good supermarket or two very good pubs offering good pub food. The second toilet alleviated our minor concern that the house does not have en-suite facilities, three couples being readily accommodated. We were so pleased with the property, that we invented a game; what is missing from the inventory; not one of us could suggest anything! It’s superfluous to say that we shall return!

Glen Lea is a lovely, bright, comfortable bungalow on the outskirts of both Giggleswick and Settle.

It is well located for excursions to the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. There are good facilities all within a fifteen-minute walk of the property, including a supermarket, a butcher’s, several pubs and lots of others. The only drawback is that it is a little noisy during the day with heavy lorries accessing the nearby industrial estate; the noise does go away in the evenings, though. The property itself is comfortable and has everything needed to fully support a family of six, with good laundry facilities, plenty of storage and a very well equipped kitchen. Definitely recommended.

This is a beautiful property in a lovely location.

It is finished to the highest standard, the hammer of foods/milk was so useful and saved us from shopping until the next day. All the pubs in Giggleswick are excellent with great food.

This cottage is absolutely lovely, in a great location on the outskirts of Settle, well within walking distance of Booths, the Town centre, the pubs and restaurants.

It’s well placed for the local area, ideal for the Yorkshire Three Peaks and close to lots of local attractions and places to visit. It’s very easy to find and access is easy off the road, with a good space to park. The cottage is well presented and looks great from the outside. The entrance is bright and the cottage is well set out. The kitchen is large and has everything you need with the added bonus of a garage, which was cool enough to leave drinks in and also had clothes washing facilities. The three large bedrooms are quiet, comfy and warm and the lounge / dining room was comfortable and warm and had very relaxing sofa. We stayed in January, so didn’t use the outside area, but it looked like a lovely place to use in the summer months, the only negative would be that the road is a little busy but I don’t think this would put me off. I’d definitely recommend it as it is one of the nicest cottages I’ve stayed in.

What a little gem this place is.

Beautifully decorated and everything has been thought out. The hamper basket is a lovely touch too, and was appreciated. Great location for everywhere too. Maybe a nest of tables would be good to place your drinks on whilst relaxing on the comfy sofa. Wonderful.

We received a lovely welcome pack from the owners which was really appreciated and they were on hand if needed. The cottage is well situated to visit near by villages and I would not hesitate to visit this cottage again.

Great property in a great location for exploring the Dales.

Property was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A couple of parks and pubs within 10 minute walk and nicely located for driving to lots of nearby attractions. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Excellent cottage and was a lush hamper left for us with bread milk butter jam and orange juice to start out stay perfectly.

Positives - Lovely clean bungalow, well equipped kitchen and facilities, everything you need.

Beautiful well kept garden and property. Now the other points… Sofas were very big and uncomfortable and not enough seating, only a 3 seater and one big chair ( no good for a family of 6). Location is poor on a roundabout and main road through to settle with lots of lorries heading to the nearby industrial estate round the corner and lots of traffic noise. This isnt made clear on the description and it looks to be rural on the photos which it isnt. Its on a small development of 3 properties on a roundabout with what look like council properties opposite. Not the quiet rural retreat we were expecting. Good location for walking to Settle but not quiet. Neighbour was also strimming and doing DIY some mornings at 8am which we thought was a bit off if u know house next door is a holiday let…

A home from home.

Property was modern, comfortable and well maintained. You can tell that the owners really care about their home and your holiday experience. This stands out from other holiday rentals. Excellent communication from owners and nothing was too much trouble. Gorgeous hamper with lots of treats left for us upon arrival. Thank you. We will be telling our friends and family and hope to be back again soon!

Absolutely perfect cottage in every way.

In fact, the rooms were all larger in real life than they appeared in the photo gallery! Andy and Tracey, the owners, are very approachable and lived only 5 minutes drive away. A lovely touch was the basket of goodies, plus more in the fridge, and the vase of tulips on the table.

One of, if not the best holiday lets I've stayed in. This is a lovely deceptively-spacious home, excellently equipped, spotlessly clean, and everything is the highest quality - furnishings, decoration, amazingly comfy beds & those sofas are fab as is the generously family-sized dining table. Booked for the new year with my children, and we were extremely comfortable. Great for spending quality time together. Loved it. I should add: The kitchen is a dream, as is the shower, and you can do your laundry too. Perfect. The hosts have got everything right here - not only a lovely place to stay, but great communication & made to feel very welcome. Thanks!

Booked for my parents to stay there for a few days whilst their house move was taking place. Spotlessly clean everywhere - lovely large kitchen with all mod cons, comfortable lounge & good quality bedding. Sadly too cold to sit out in the pretty well kept garden! Would definitely recommend.

I would definitely recommend this cottage.

We have had a lovely stay at Glen Lea this last weekend. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could need and the bungalow was spotless when we arrived. A comprehensive hamper was available which included milk, bread, orange juice and even a bag of ice in the freezer (as well as other things). The owners really have thought of everything. We had a problem with one of the radiators while we were there and when we contacted the owner he was there within half an hour to fix it. Thanks Andy!! The cottage is within walking distance to the local shops, restaurants and cafes in Settle and we had a lovely trip out to nearby Kirby Lonsdale.

I would highly recommend and return. Appreciated hamper and cleaning products. Think you could do with some bench cushions as it was hard on the bum after a while!

A lovely well presented and comfortable property which is also really well equipped.

A definite home from home. Nicely situated just a short walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants. So whether you eat in or out there’s something for everyone. With so many beautiful places to visit almost on your doorstep we hardly used the car but literally walked miles.

Almost perfect, but could do with some small tables in the lounge as there is nowhere to place drink glasses other than on the floor.

Otherwise, very comfortable and with every facility needed.
