    “Nice lodge in a nice part of Yorkshire.”

    Lodge is on a site which appears to be residential and rental lodges, and a 1 minute drive to village centre. Lodge was clean, tidy and comfy, but was showing some bits that need live and attention. The beds are not comfortable if your used to a firmer mattress and the pillows where very lumpy and uncomfortable. The patio could also do with a clean to remove bird dropping and algae. Overall though, the Lodge is spacious for a short break and I would book again if in that area.

Skipton 4 miles; Settle 12 miles.

A pretty village on the banks of the River Aire, around 7 miles from Malham, with its spectacular limestone cove and scar. In the village you will find a selection of places to eat including a fantastic Indian restaurant, along with a small selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Traversed by the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, cycle route 68 and the Pennine Way, Gargrave is a fantastic base for exploring this part of Yorkshire. Four miles away is the ancient market town of Skipton — “The Gateway to the Dales” — with its historic castle and celebrated high street.
