Otter Lodge

Lodge was absolutely perfect.

Very spacious, clean and comfortable. A quiet site but only a short walk to the village where you can get something to eat and drink. There was a lightening strike when we were there which resulted in a power cut in the village. I contacted the owner and they answered quickly and gave me an update when power would be restored . It didnt spoil our holiday at all. There are lovely walks and villages to explore in the area We would thoroughly recommend

We have never stayed in a lodge before and were extremely impressed with the space and comfort of it all.

Will definitely be returning as it's such a great place for exploring the Yorkshire dales.

We’ve been to these Lodges a few times with extended family in different lodges! Our grandsons next door had a great time! Lots to do in the area! Lodges are really lovely and clean! Very relaxing!

Light and airy lodge.

It was spotless inside and out. Would recommend more cups as there were four of us and it was awkward using them and putting them in the dishwasher. Just a small observation. Bed in the main bedroom very comfortable Good sized decking and outside furniture. Would definitely recommend if you want to be away from it all Short walk to the small village and the canal

Beautiful lodge, spotlessly clean.

Close to local amenities and Skipton only a 10 minute drive away. Would definitely stay here again. Only criticism would be to have better breakfast bowls! A hot tub would be a bonus too

Spend Xmas in this lodge, it was so lovely & cosy, it's well equipped and very clean.

surrounding area was so beautiful, perfect place for walkers. The only issue was having no Wifi, but it didn't bother us as much as it was Christmas, we would definitely go again.

Otter lodge is very spacious modern and quietly situated in Gargrave near Skipton.

It's only 10 mins walk from 2 good pubs Indian restaurant Fish shop and Co op. It's well decorated and stylish. It has 2 bedrooms ensuite shower room and bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked and has a separate utility room. It's not far from Skipton Grassington Malham Cove Bolton Abbey and Ilkley. All worth a visit. We would happily stay here again.

Accommodation clean, comfortable and well equipped for a self-catering holiday

Excellent location for our needs.

Spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. Well equipped with everything we needed. Extractor fan for the bathroom may need attention as it was noisy but that was not an issue for us. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Otter Lodge had everything we needed. It is ideally situated in a quiet spot, with a short walk to the L&L canal towpath. We'll definitely be back.

The Lodge proved to be great for a four-night walking break in the Yorkshire Dales for two old “geezers”; it was home-from-home after a hard day’s walk.

Gargrave has some decent eateries and Settle, Skipton etc. are only a short drive away. There is no wireless capability, but 4G? worked just fine. The beds proved to be very comfortable, we slept like babies. The weather wasn’t the best during our stay, but we went walking every day, the highlight was walking up Pen-y-ghent. I can highly recommend this accommodation; we’ll likely be back for more next year!

Fantastic lodge, fully equipped & comfortable.

A peaceful location & perfect base for exploring the wider Yorkshire Dales. In easy walking distance of Gargrave. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time at Otter Lodge.

We were really impressed with how clean and tidy the facilities were. The information provided by both Sykes and the property owner were really appreciated and easy to follow. We found it to be very comfortable and at times were happy to just spend time at the Lodge rather than going off exploring. It had everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The showers and bath were amazing, only thing to mention is that the main bathroom fan might need checking as after a little while it starts making a louder noise. Overall we thoroughly recommend Otter Lodge as a great place to stay and relax, it is a great base camp for people to go off and explore Yorkshire and after a busy day come back and relax in comfort. Thank you again for a lovely stay.

Otter Lodge was a great place to stay.

It's facilities were excellent, it was very clean and kept in good order, it was a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The location is great for getting out and about.

Very nice lodge but very dissatisfied that I had asked in plenty of time (and had it confirmed) for the second room to be made up as a double.

This was NOT done and the second couple (our friends) were very disappointed as the beds were narrow as two small singles

Had an amazing stay at Otter Lodge.

It was absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. The beds were really comfy. We loved the gorgeous setting and it was so peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely return.

Such a lovely rental!

We had a really comfortable 3 night stay. The lodge itself is clean, spacious and decorated to a high standard. It has everything you need as a base to explore the beautiful dales. We intend to come back next year.

The lodge is absolutely beautiful and cannot fault the cleanliness and appearance at all.

We just need WIFI!!!! That’s the only thing missing from the lodge The masons arms a few minute drive away is lovely

Really nice lodge in a quiet position in Gargrave.

No facilities on site but this is the type of site we prefer

We had a lovely stay, only thing my elderly parent's struggled with was the wet room, fantastic for a disabled person to walk into, but unfortunately there is no grab rail for safety.

But we did enjoy everything else, especially how quiet the site was, just what was needed.

The lodge offered excellent accommodation - it was very comfortable, clean and well equipped with easy access to local places of interest. The only minor downside was lack of WiFi - we were reliant on 4G which was unreliable on occasions.

A lovely place to stay.

It felt like we were in a mini nature reserve. Excellent accommodation, very comfy and clean. Everything you needed was provided with thought and care. Easy to find the location. Very helpful information provided prior to and on arrival. Highly recommend.

Immaculate lodge in great location.

Not a criticism but if you visited with more than one car parking may be a problem.

Otter lodge is a beautifully laid out lodge with luxury touches like skirting LED lights in the kitchen and hallway.

The bedrooms are very cosy with good quality beds and bedding. The open plan living area is very spacious and well arranged. The kitchen would benefit from a teapot but is otherwise very well equipped. The sofas look good but are very low and hard and a bit difficult to get up from. The cleaning looked like it had been rushed, the en-suite had not been cleaned thoroughly but generally the place looks well maintained.

10/10 for Otter lodge.

Very clean ,comfortable and hint of luxury too.

Lovely modern and spacious, let down was the sofas very uncomfortable very used, no WiFi for when the weather is bad the TV did not work, so had no back up.

The onsuite bathroom had a very strong smell of what resembled cat wee. Not enough lighting outside to see the name on the building. we had to get out of the car to find our accommodation. The concealed entrance to the site needs a sign on the road side as we passed it several times.

The lodge was well presented and comfortable with excellent showers.

The only small issue was not enough crockery ie mugs. The beds were very comfy. A tad difficult to figure out the heating controls and not sure why the heating came on through the night. However we turned off the radiator in the bedroom so was not a problem. All in all a fabulous week in a beautiful part of the country.

The lodge was lovely.

We enjoyed our stay. It would be easier if there was a sign at the entrance to indicate the park. I found it ridiculous in 2022 that there were no recycling facilities of any kind on the park. We ended up bringing a lot of recycling home with us.

We all had a very relaxing week at Otter Lodge.

On arrival we were surprised how spacious the lodge was. It was warm, cosy, clean and inviting. The beds were made up to our request (2 singles zipped in to a double) and very comfy. The showers in the en-suite and main bathroom were amazing, certainly got the blood pumping in the morning before heading out for a day of exploring. Spoke to the owner regarding a maintenance issue, this was dealt with swiftly and promptly on the same day. We would highly recommend this property, ok there’s no broadband BUT there is freesat and sufficient mobile signal should you wish to stream anything on your phone or tablet. Would definitely return here. On a silly sentimental note, the ducks were just charming and entertained us each day. Take some apples if you do stay, they loved them!

Fabulous lodge….

.luxurious fittings…..everything was immaculate. Layout of lounge and bedrooms perfect. Extremely comfortable beds, bathroom and shower room en-suite were of a high quality. Setting was in a very peaceful location, very handy for getting out and about in the Dales. The local village quarter of a mile away very quaint and had all local amenities….The Masons arms can recommend for meals. The only thing that lets the lodge down is the lack of Wi-Fi…….you need to search and book online for some things….if you dont have a large data deal on your phone then it becomes a problem. Put Wi-Fi in and it would be perfection.

Once again its the second time my wife and I have been to Otter Lodge and it does not disappoint and would recommend this lodge to any one who wants a nice quiet relaxing holiday.

Loved the lodge, great location and it was spotless.

Really well kitted out apart from a few essential omissions. Was very surprised in this day and age there was a) no internet b) no smart TV - only Freeview!? Also in both bathrooms there was a very a strong smell of cat urine

Lovely lodge, but very disappointing’welcome pack’ - 4 broken biscuits and no local information.

Not especially clean - food was left in cupboards and toothbrush left beside sink from previous guests. Bedroom mirror was very dirty. Not particularly well equipped - no mixing bowl or wooden spoon, too few glasses, only a single cafetière so couldn’t both have coffee at the same time…

Relaxing, peaceful location.

Otter Lodge was a wonderful place to stay it had everything you needed. The decking area was private and a nice area to sit and have a drink or something to eat. Bed very comfy and nice linen. Everything spotlessly clean, can highly recommend.

Lodge was almost perfect. The only thing to let it down was the lack of WiFi- in this day & age you just expect this would be included All in all we had a lovely break and would definitely recommend

A nice 2 night break away, the lodge is lovely.

We spent most of our time in the lodge and had a few little walks on the canal next to us. A bit pricey at roughly £400 for 2 nights

The Otter Lodge in Milton Park is a fantastic place to have a holiday if you are after peace and quiet and lovely surroundings the lodge certainly lives up to its 5 star ratings with all the luxury fittings and feachers and is only minutes from the village of Gargrave which has several small shops including a co-op for all your provisions and can recommend the Masons Arms for a lovely pub meal, I don't think anyone will be disappointed on holiday in this lovely lodge, my wife and I would certainly recommend it.
