    “Quiet & peaceful stay.”

Beds very high so difficulties getting in and out. Cobwebs and dead insects inside accommodation. En suite Shower cubicle was extremely small and no alternative shower in main bathroom. Wasn’t made aware the fence wasn’t fully enclosed until booked and received email about it few days before so was unable to allow our 2 dogs to run free. Hot tub was great, arrival gifts were a nice touch. Kitchen well equipped. Living space cosy.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re pleased to hear you enjoyed the peaceful setting, the hot tub, the welcome gifts, and found the kitchen well equipped and the living space cosy. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We take cleanliness very seriously, and while we’ve not previously received comments regarding cobwebs or insects, we carried out a thorough inspection following your feedback to ensure everything met our usual high standards. The beds in two of the bedrooms are intentionally higher to provide convenient under-bed storage for guests’ luggage. The en-suite shower room was designed to make the best use of the available space within the lodge, and the shower enclosure is the largest that could be accommodated. Regarding the garden, our listing and pre-arrival information explain that it is not dog-proof. The boundary fencing is traditional post-and-wire farm fencing, and as we are surrounded by working farmland, we advise guests to keep their dogs supervised or under control at all times. We’re sorry this wasn’t suitable for your needs. Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate all comments and are always looking for ways to improve our guests’ experience. Property Owner

Wonderfully isolated, the lodge's grounds are home to two resident pheasants and a little robin, keen to show off his handsome red plumage.

Deer can often be seen across the beck, while sheep graze in the nearby fields and bats flutter across the star-spangled night sky.

Settle down in one of the three delightful bedrooms after another fun-filled day, with a master double bedroom boasting an en-suite shower room, along with a twin room and a single, the latter two served by the family bathroom.
