The lodge itself is very good, decorated to a very modern standard and provided virtually everything we needed.

So full marks for that. But some things let it down. Our comments - the lock/ bolt issue of the main door that had been raised by another reviewer has not been fixed. It was a pain to lock each time from the outside and inside. The owner hasn't paid attention to one of the most fundamental issues - security. You could easily think you have locked the door and it could have been open. Secondly we were surprised that such a well equipped lodge did not provide hand wash. We arrived a bit late in the evening and had to run out straight away to get two for the kitchen and bathroom. Overall we had a good stay, the park is lovely but one thing to note for future hirers is that you have to walk 8 - 10 mins from the car park on the day of arrival, locate the lodge, open the key box, get the keys and fob, come back to the car park and then use the fob to open the barrier and drive to the lodge. If you have mobility issues or it is raining, not great but that is not an issue with the lodge - it is the system in the park I guess. Our final bad experience was at the time of leaving. We had cleaned the lodge out fully and were leaving, just about to lock the door and pop the keys in - it was 10.20am and he had just arrived. A man in a car who I assume is a cleaner drove up and was very rude to my wife and me to tell us that it was past 10. He could see we were loaded up and were about to leave but couldn't get over the temptation to display poor behaviour.

We enjoyed a great stay with our grandaughters and found everything we needed.

The only slight negative was the front door was a little tricky to lock and unlock
