Situated in the southern region of County Kilkenny, lying shoulder to shoulder with the counties of Waterford and Wexford, is the intimate village of Glenmore. Glenmore lies halfway between the popular towns of Waterford and New Ross, offering superb attractions in every direction. The village also lies on the Barrow Valley and offers wonderful opportunities for anglers. Glenmore is home to a local shop offering basic essentials and a friendly pub where you will be greeted with the warmest of welcomes. The vibrant town of New Ross lies on the River Barrow and boasts a great selection of shops, cafes and also the famous Dunbrody Famine Ship, an authentic reproduction of a vessel from the 1840s. Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford, is also certainly worth a visit and is home to Waterford Crystal, Ireland’s largest collection of the famous handcrafted cut glass. Location is only 35 Minutes from the Medieval small city of Kilkenny which is very walkable with a historic Mile walk giving lots of places of interest including Kilkenny Castle , also the Smithwicks Brewery experience is worth a visit.
