Beech Lodge

We had a wonderful stay at Beech Lodge.

It was a perfect retreat for us to slow down and take in & appreciate our surroundings.

The fifth time we have used these lodges.

Always enjoy our stay find the place very relaxing

All good, but bed was a bit small and kept hitting head on shelf above the head board.

Welcome tray was a nice touch. Facilities and staff were great, had a fantastic stay.

The best thing about Rutland is there is so much to see & do, We stayed in Beech Lodge in Greetham, Rutland.

The Rutland Kitchen on site has an excellent menu & you can order in advance a takeaway meal to suit. The food is excellent as are the staff. The Lodge was spacious & very comfortable. The hot tub was in use every night & a sauna was also something to help relax. We had an awesome stay & we will be back. Barnsdale gardens are a must see.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break in this beautiful & interesting part of the country.

We were shown to our lodge on arrival & received a generous welcome pack which was much appreciated. Managed to visit all the places nearby that we had put on our list. The weather was great for getting plenty use of the hot tub also !

Fantastic stay.

Following a warm welcome, the accommodation was great, very spacious and comfortable. Small note re improvement tweaks - leaky tap in the kitchen and difficult to read cooker markings as quite worn. Definitely recommended though and the welcome treats were appreciated.

We stayed in Beech lodge for 5 nights and we had the most amazing time!

Check-in was very simply, the lodge was huge, much bigger than we expected, and the welcome pack was a lovely gift! The lodge is very well equipped with everything you could imagine needing, the kitchen had so many utensils and pots and pans, even a hand mixer. There was a hoover and mop, broom and dustpan and brush, cloths drying rack. An additional space heater to the already built in underfloor heating, there was also a fan for when it got really hot! There was also plenty of books/ dvd/ and cds to be enjoyed! We found the bed to be super comfortable and overall the lodge was very cosy and beautifully decorated! There was also a hairdryer provided in the bedroom. The hot tub was of course the highlight, it was very spacious and clean, the friendly staff also checked the PH of the water in the hot tub daily. The garden was also huge, and again well equipped with sun loungers, table and chairs and a large bbq. The Sauna was also a highlight, very easy to use and again nice and clean! The grounds themselves were clean and very easy to find your way around, if you do struggle we found the staff to be super friendly and helpful! We throughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back in the future!

The lodge was lovely and clean apart from a few cobwebs here and there.

The finishing touches like bath robes and shower gel was lovely. The park itself and the surrounding area was lovely for exploring. I would have like to seen more crockery cutlery in the lodge. When you have a dishwasher you need more. There was no tea towel for drying the odd item of crockery if required. They checked the hot tub daily and were very considerate in doing so. The staff were friendly. We will certainly be back . It’s a good place to relax.

The details of this property gave the impression is was luxury accommodation, with a bath in the bedroom, sauna and hot tub, but not in our experience.

We reported that the kitchen tap was dripping, which the management appeared to know about but it wasn't mentioned on arrival. We also discovered that the bathroom sink plug could not be depressed to facilitate shaving; this didn't engender any response apparently because it remained seized and no update. Other issues included the 2 internal doors of the rear lobby repeatedly stuck, the bathroom door was very noisy. We booked a meal at one of the village pubs but had to take the long drive around due to the cul-de-sac nature of Park Lane, an no torch provided to enable us to walk.

property was excellent, staff excellent.

0 score is for Skyes, property is a 10/10 property staff 12/10 Sykes customer service is none existent still waiting for a response from over 6 months ago. Luckily I contacted the owners who sorted my problem even though it was nothing to do with them. My advice don’t book sith Sykes and be careful as lots of other sites are actually owned by Sykes. Would I revisit yes definitely but I would not book through Sykes.

Excellent accommodation.

Everything was there you needed to enjoy your stay. The whole site was well maintained, and the staff friendly and helpful. Definitely five star. Would come back.

The best lodge we have stayed in. Private garden makes using the hottub great. Sauna an extra bonus. Rutland water a must

Beautiful, clean and secure site.

The lodge was spotless and very well equipped. The welcome pack was amazing, loved the fresh eggs. The hot tub was an added bonus that was tended every day. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downside was the outside furniture was rather uncomfortable, otherwise perfect. Would highly recommend this site, will definitely come back.

The lodge was clean and tidy on our arrival, we had a great four day stay.

We were able to explore the area, which was my last RAF Posting at RAF North Luffingham, as well as revisiting our old house in Newark. Internet is quicker than at Home so not problems accessing the internet. Well worth a stay

The cabin was beautiful, very cleaned and spacious, and had everything I needed for the weekend, the kitchen was very well equipped, dish washer and washer-dryer.

The welcome package was lovely, with chocolates, eggs, prosecco. The hot tub was lovely, always nice and warm, checked daily. Really peaceful and relaxing, I can't wait to come back :)

Side door did not lock, The out side was ready tidying up and the windows need cleaning

This is our second visit to the Lodges and we couldn’t fault anything.

We loved the Sauna and Hot Tub and made full use of both even in the miserable weather. We will definitely be back for a third visit.

Amazing place great facilities ( sauna & hot tub ) didn’t use the swimming pool but there if you want to , nothing was too much trouble for the owners definitely stay again

Beautiful place to stay, after a stressful few months this was the perfect place to kick back and relax, the lodge is stunning with everything you need I would go back in a heart beat

Absolutely brilliant accommodation and service.

Staff were amazing, even returned some items by post that we left behind and didn't charge us. Would fully recommend for that special break.

Had a great stay!

Lodge was lovely and felt very relaxed and chilled. Will definitely be staying again! Would be nice if the salt and pepper shakers were filled up if not maybe it could be added to the preparing for your trip sheet. Also to bring own tea and coffee and that you can purchase ice bags from reception.

Beautiful, clean, luxury lodge.

Wouldn't hesitate to return. Small problem with hot tub on arrival which was dealt with immediately. Excellent cafe on sight. All in all perfect week.

Lovely place

Very impressed with the property and the customer service, we was shown to our lodge by a very friendly man who’s name unfortunately escapes me, he showed us around and gave us plenty of advice for our stay.

The property exceeded our expectations and we are already planning on visiting again before the end of the year in winter.

Absolutely amazing place and will definitely be looking to return in the future.

Only small things that could be improved are the external doors were incredibly creaky (I sprayed some WD40 on the hinges which sorted it), and one of the garden lights didn’t work. Everything else was brilliant, the cleanliness, the facilities and the comfort were all perfect for our stay. Will definitely be returning!

It was quite cool weather and the heating did not work at all,further duration of our stay, until it came on in the middle of our last night.

I only recently came out of hospital, and I feel the cold. I think we should receive a partial refund.

Best property we have ever stayed in.

Beautiful lodge, lovely welcome in person and welcome pack awaiting on the table as we entered the lodge.

Overall clean, however the floors were streaky and under furniture were dusty. The tap on our shower was broken so we couldn't use the shower during our stay. This wasn't really an issue to us as we made use of the bath and tot tub. We felt the lodge was well provisioned and generally in a well maintained state, it was a beautiful place to retreat to for a few days after a difficult time personally.

Our first time here and in Beech lodge.

We were felt very welcome upon our arrival and shown to our lodge which was lovely and clean along with a very nice welcome pack. The Rutland Kitchen provides lovely food 7 days a week and we had one of the best Sunday roasts we have ever had (thank you Andy). Overall a lovely sight with friendly staff and we will be back to try out a different lodge. Thank you for having us and we hope to see you soon.

Beautiful lodge, private, clean and well equipped.

The hot tub was clean and ready for us after a long day. The sauna in the bathroom is the best part of it all. I highly recommend guys and we can't wait to visit again. Thank you also for the gift basket.

Me and my partner stayed in Beech lodge and had an amazing time, we arrived much later than planned and the staff were so lovely and sorted out a late check in for us, the cottage was stunning and we were greeted with champagne and chocolates, i can’t recommend enough for a romantic getaway

Once again absolutely Fabulous we have recommend already to family and friends.

They saw our pics and they wanted to go so hopefully next year other people can enjoy the luxury we'll be back next year!!! Also the cafe next door is brilliant great meals and very nice owner thanks again for a 5☆ holiday x

Once again another fantastic break in a beautiful area with a superb lodge.

The property is fab!

Had a great time there, pretty much everything was perfect. My only suggestion would be to have a wooden cover over the hot tub, so it can be used even when it’s raining. Prob best in wood, as then it would be in keeping with the garden furniture, arbour etc. perhaps some fairy lights around it to, similar to the lights around the front of the lodge. The welcome pack is a lovely touch & the information folder was very helpful. Will recommend to other people!

Extra storage round bathroom sink for your toiletries

While the accommodation was excellent there were a few things that would help improve the facilities.

1 a chair in the bedroom, 2 shelving in the shower room to have somewhere for the toiletries and a chair to sit on after a shower. 3 instructions for the way in which to use the cooker. Apart from that the stay was very good and we would stay there again.

Loved our stay here, the establishment appeared to have worked very hard to ensure guests, the best possible stay

Great place to stay if you want to explore the area the only complaint the duva was very lumpy as the weather was hot a summer one would have been better .

Hot tube great so was the lodge would recommend it and would stay again

The only criticism I would make is that there was not enough crockery and cutlery.

When on holiday you don’t want to be washing up all the time. There were only 2 cups and saucers.

It lacked storage and shelf space in the bathroom but the place was very good in the main

The lodge had absolutely everything we needed and more.

It was so peaceful and in a lovely rural location. Nice walk to a local pub (the plough) with gorgeous food. We will definitely be back and look forward to the sun being out.

Fantastic place, quiet, all mod cons in chalet.

Loved the hot tub and sauna. Would recommend to anyone. Close to a pub for a meal which was lovely as well.

Stayed here with my partner and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the moment we entered the lodge until the moment we left.

The facilities were top notch and wonderfully clean. I will definitely recommend the lodge and site to everyone and hope to return soon !

Wonderfully comfortable cabin, Sauna fantastic, great for the skin.

Hot Tub very relaxing. Bed extremely comfortable, shower great size and beautifully hot. Bath in the bedroom, fabulous size, larger enough for two people, very romantic. Would recommend to all. Oakham lovely little market town with a few boutique shops. Stamford wonderful town for a visit, can easily spend the day wondering around the array of shops........beautiful place.

Swimming Pool: Only allowed 1 free swim per stay?

??? Really. you pay £852.00 to stay in a Luxury Lodge and only allowed 1 free swim!!!!!. should be free paying that amount. Was not shown on the site either. On site could do with some form of entertainment in the evenings. On site Cafe deserves 10/10 for its food. Excellent on site Pizza and Pies. As for the Lodge: Very comfy. Hot Tub is great.....Watch out for the Tub man!!!! turns up not between 10 and 2.....but when he can!!!!!

We loved the hot tub which was ready for us upon our arrival.

The lodge was lovely, clean and the separate room underfloor heating a god send. The garden was very private. The bed was really comfortable. The only negative I would say is the living room lights were too dull and we could not read in the evening. A pair of bright lamps would be a big plus. A lovely relaxing week.

Wi Fi did not work in the cabin, tried several different vouchers etc but nothing worked, staff could not help, just said that the Wi Fi was poor.

The lodge is advertised as having Wi Fi and in theses modern times people rely on a good service. The provider you are paying is not giving you a service or value for money, I suggest you insist on improvements or change provider.

Pleasantly surprised by how well equipped this lodge is.

Very spacious and loved the privacy of the garden and hot tub area.... quality fixtures , fittings and accessories. Only downside for me really was the pillows- lumpy and uncomfortable but otherwise would highly recommend- the surrounding villages are beautiful.

The lodge was spotless, staff all very friendly, just a short drive from Oakham where there are plenty of shops etc. Will definitely be coming back!

Would have scored much higher, except for the fact thar the WiFi was awful, very slow and kept dropping out, I did tell the staff at the site but they just agreed and said there was nothing they could do about it.

This would stop me from booking at this site in the future.

Amazing break at Rutland lodges.

Had a lovely welcome pack. There was even a Christmas tree up. . Had 30 mins free swim every day too. Lots if special touches.

Fabulous lodge with amazing attention to detail - totally exceeded all our expectations and location was great too.

The cottage site and staff were amazing.

The space and location were fantastic and brilliant value for money. A lovely welcome package was left for us on arrival which was a lovely personal touch. Plenty of privacy and exclusive use of the on site pool was a lovely bonus. Not too far away from towns to visit and a local pub just down the road. Thoroughly recommend to anyone that needs a break away from home.

Perfect relaxation in an absolutely beautiful and luxurious lodge.

The owners added those extra touches that were unexpected and really exceptional. We can't wait to return and have already recommended the place to all of our friends.

This is fabulous accommodation, but one thing lets it down.

The bed was so uncomfortable that it was impossible to sleep in it. We had to lie on top of the duvet to add a slight bit of comfort. The mattress was as hard as lying on the floor, but because there is only 1 Sofa you can't sleep there. I sound still go back though.

Me and my partner had a really good few days there.

Ive been to quite a few log cabin but this was up there with one of the best. Very cosy but roomy. The only thing i would advise is could supply so sort of slipper (just cheap one or maybe have it as an option to purchase) for when you get out of hot tub to go in to lodge. Floor is very slippy with it being wooden. Other than that i would go again in future and maybe bring the kids along next time

The lodge itself was excellent.

The welcome pack was very generous and we enjoyed the additional facility of the swimming pool. The booking process through Sykes was very efficient but, as with most companies, we find the amount of marketing emails from Sykes a bit too much and this may result in us unsubscribing. Also the My Sykes app didn't work and requests for forgotten password didn't come through so we gave up with that. Having said that, we had all the information we needed.

Really lovely log cabin with a secluded garden and private hot tub, sauna and bbq.

Such a quiet location, 2 lovely pubs within walking distance and the owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Clean, tidy and a fully equipped kitchen too. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely hoilday cabin, great facility we received a little welcome pack (bread, x2 small pots of jam, x1 bottle of prosecco, x2 coffee pods, x2 pg tea bags and small box of roses).

Very quiet for saying you are on a caravan/camp site. Good size private garden Enough towels for the stay. We were shown how to use the hot tub and sauna and were told how to get to the small village which was only a 5 minute walk. The village has 1 shop and x2 pubs. It was about 15 minutes drive in to the near town. I would say the only down side was that the WiFi wasn't very good, and the instructions weren't very clear. However all in all a very nice place to stay and will be going back.
