Fantastic Stay at Elm Lodge Excellent accommodation, as described.

very clean well equipped. Lovely have a secured garden to the lodge. Definitely visit again, shame we can't get the dates we want for later in August.

Our stay at Elm Lodge was fantastic.

It was super clean, secure and quiet. The facilities were great and we loved the hot tub. The lodge was warm & cosy with a well equipped kitchen - we had everything we needed. Our only ‘critique’ (and I say it lightly as it was so good overall) was the sofas were not as comfy as they looked & one of the single beds was very squeaky. The staff were brilliant and we had no issues checking in or out. We have rebooked to come back later in the summer as we loved it so much (and bringing my partners parents!!) thank you for a fab stay we loved it!

Property needs more cutlery,crockery and glasses to make use of the dishwasher provided.

Our third stay at the lodges, this time in Elm.

A two bedroom lodge. The lodge has everything you need for a lovely break, and the hot tub is great! Any issues that we had, and they were minor, were sorted quickly by the lovely and helpful staff on site.

Beautiful luxury lodge in a quiet, relaxing location.

Perfect for a group of friends, with spacious interiors, great outdoor space for a BBQ, and a lovely hot tub that was the highlight of our stay. We really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and had a wonderfully relaxing time.We left feeling refreshed and would happily return again. Thank You!

We enjoyed our week so much that we added an extra 4 nights to our stay.

Lovely place super friendly staff

This is the second time we have stayed at Elm lodge, and once again we were not disappointed.

From the welcome pack to the private use of the pool it was the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday we have had in a long time.

Property floor dirty, a lot of cobweb on the wall Kitchen tap leak all the time Kitchen window is faulty Some of the lights outside is not working With the amount we spend we should expect better value

This is our 4th time visiting, we visited over the new year period.

Unfortunately our hot tub wouldn’t reach temperature so it was cold, we did report it and they did come out promptly and fix it, however it never really got warm the following days we was there which stopped us from using it as much. The previous time we visited we had problems with the sauna, however they do come out and take a look at it and fix it, we will definitely be back as the log cabins are gorgeous, very warm and cosy. They stays are expensive, and the check in and out times do lose you a lot of time which you feel like you have paid for, but they cabins themselves are worth the money.

Another wonderful stay in Elm Lodge.

It is so peaceful, with a very private garden and hot tub. The lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. There are thermostats in every room for the underfloor heating so you can select what you want, the kitchen has a full range of crockery, cutlery, cookware and utensils, also a washer/dryer and dishwasher. There are plenty fluffy towels and bathrobes. There is a smart TV in the lounge and both bedrooms, a DVD player and radio/CD unit. This was our fourth stay and we will definitely return.

The site is well maintained and secure. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Absolutely love this site. The only negative is the garden furniture is rather heavy and uncomfortable. Will not stop us from coming back though.

Secluded garden with hot tub an added bonus. Lots of places to visit within a few miles so ideally situated.

It was well appointed and situated in a lovely relaxing and private situation. The staff at the site were extremely helpful and friendly.

We have stayed at these lodges since 2021, they were really lovely then but I'm afraid the standards have slipped

Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed and I would like somebody to please contact regarding our stay and I would like a refund the price we paid for the service and facilities we received is appalling.

Firstly we arrive at 3pm to check in was told not ready was just doing the hot tub will bring keys over to car when done left to sit in a car for 20 minutes unacceptable when checking clearly states checking from 3 pm, you expect your lodge to be ready to check in at that time especially when you have paid £447 for two nights and check out is 10am leaving plenty of time to make sure ready for next people . The gentleman that came to the car with no apology was extremely rude said well he had other people to check in as well. The customer service from whom I am told is the owner was applauding. The weekend of our stay was hot weather but the lodge was simply unbearable. The heat inside the lodge was unbearable. The first night none of us was able to sleep or rest. In the morning we had to call at 8am straight away for assistance we then realised the under floor heating was on and was on full in the bathroom and ensuite. The radiators were so hot you could not touch them. The thermometer stated it was 29° in there. The same gentleman who checked us in walked through the door and said o my gosh wow it is really hot let me turn it off and turned all heating off which I cannot understand why was on in over 20° heat. Myself my husband and my two year old little girl had no sleep at all that first night completely ruining our stay and us being exhausted.The cleanliness which I have photographic evidence of shows that lodge has not been cleaned thoroughly for a long time and was extremely dirty and dusty there are also glass top protectors on all wooden furniture coffee table etc which are movable easily movable with a light touch slide off tables. This is certainly not toddler friendly and very dangerous overall, unfortunately our experience of our expensive weekend stay we left with complete disappointment and will be sure not to return again. I would greatly appreciate it if someone from Sykecottages could contact regarding my complaint. Thank you

We loved everything about the property.

The accommodation was equipped with everything we needed (and more besides), the bath robes were really useful for sitting outside and using the hot tub. We had a lovely welcome basket waiting for us, including tea, coffee, chocolates and prosecco!! Some useful information in the visitor book - we can recommend walk number 3 - took us through some lovely scenery and countryside. We will definitely be back

Cabin .

. excellent. Cleanliness..needs more attention paying to moving things when cleaning....when sat at night you can see the bits and bobs under the sofa and cupboards. Cobwebs abundant above eye level .. Barbeque still full of ash and burnt food from previous guests ... Facilities all good and work well .. Overall a marvelous place ..just let down by the little things ..

Spiderwwb every corner in the house Kitchen wasnt clean No Internet for 3 days They was trying to contact owner no respond I did lost a lot of work no internet no good connection

The patio area was very slippery, covered in green slime, making the walk from the door to the hottub difficult.

We reported this to reception on our second day and were advised that it was on their list to be pressure washed, but this was not done during our stay of seven days. The patio area had cigarette ends, bottle tops and bits of rubber and plastic lying about and we feel this should have been swept prior to our arrival. There was only one remote control for three TVs in the lodge so was a nuisance when some of us wanted to watch TV in bed. Otherwise everything was absolutely lovely, warm and comfortable. There were plenty of lovely, fluffy towels and the kitchen was very well equipped with quality appliances. The beds were comfortable and all the furniture was good quality.

All staff we met during our stay were very helpful.

We had a lovely stay, the accommodation was comfortable and as described, the rooms were spacious and well fitted out and modern, will definitely use this accommodation again when in the area, Paul

We could not find anything that we did not like about the property. We had a great time!

Nothing was wrong with this holiday.

Everything was perfect. The attention to detail was brilliant. Everything you could possibly want was provided.

Had a lovely time with my wife and 3 children, the lodge was extremely clean and comfortable.

Great stay the staff nice and helpful.

The lodge was perfect just what we needed all the facilities were immaculate. The hot tub are amazing, within a few days we knew we wanted to come back. The cafe was really handy and the food was good.We didn’t get time to use the pool so that will be for next time! Side note to going with a baby/toddler We opted not to get cot/high chair but definitely would next time as a lot of the tables were glass topped- but that was our own thing to think off.

Few cobwebs and a bit dusty but overall clean could do with more comfortable sofas in front room but still had a lovely stay

Lovely Lodge,v relaxing.

The Kingsize bed so comfy. All facilities that you need. Made lots of use of Hottub. Peaceful area. Nice breakfast in on site cafe before leaving :) I would only say the wooden Loungers outside maybe provide some padding to sit on. And maybe lower price for the on site Swimming pool.. Overall fab. Thankyou :) I would go again.

Elm lodge is everything you need in a self catering holiday, plenty of utensils etc.

The little welcome gifts were a lovely touch. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. This is our 4th stay with Rutland lodges and we will be back again.

WE had a lovely week at Elm lodge, Really nice welcome , from the staff/owners.

Bit disappointed that we had to pay extra for the pool, but as there was a lovely hot tub in our garden we only used the pool twice. Granddaughter enjoyed the play park. Lovely pizza from the little cafe on site.

The lodge was modern, immaculately clean, warm and welcoming.

The hot tub was situated in a private garden which was lovely.

Outstanding facilities to stay in.

Problem with the the heating when we arrived which was quickly sorted.

The only issue we had was the amount of flys, but understand that this is an issue in the area

Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and found everything very positive.

The only negatives we have are the settees were extremely uncomfortable, the garden furniture was uncomfortable and the sinks in the bathrooms were very small and not very useable. Also, having to pay £16 for a 30 minute swimming session seems excessive considering how much we paid for the accommodation. However, I do not want to detract from how much we enjoyed the stay overall where all staff were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

Walked down to the lodge to show us around. Explained everything and made to feel very welcome. The lodge was perfect in every way. The luxury feel to the finish, the best appliances, the actual hot tub was hot!! We felt right at home and didn’t want to leave. We will be back and for longer !!!

........it was specious, equipped with everything that you could need and everything was to the highest standard...............truly 5* accommodation! The lodges are well spaced and the security of the site, together with individual car parking for each lodge made it very relaxing and assuring. The lovely hot tub was great and made our stay special.

Very happy with the lodge, lovely and spacious, very clean, cannot fault it.

However, not so happy with the customer service at the lodge. Asked to pay for a late check out and the staff agreed but said we didn't need to pay we could check out late the following day. Then had a call at 9am to say we had to leave we there had been a booking for the lodge. So had to rush around and leave although I offered to pay for the extra time or even an extra night but this was declined. I visited the office to be met by very rude staff who just made me feel like I wanted to pack up and leave and not return, and even had me in tears they were so rude. We packed everything up and just as we were leaving the owner arrived to say the booking had been cancelled and we could stay until the afternoon but by this time we just wanted to get out of there! A real shame as we had such a great time and the last day was completely ruined. Also the hot tub guy needs some water training, or a little better customer service, hasn't got the time to explain how to set the temperature etc just tells you it has to stay on 40°c which can be dangerous for some with heart conditions or pregnant women etc. Water also isn't sanitised to begin with which should be happening although it was very clean and brand new water it should still be shocked and left for 24 hours before use. Would have loved to come back and probably would have returned a number of times a year as it's so reasonably priced but unfortunately the staff have put me off, definitely need some customer service training and maybe next time try and keep the paying guests you already have happy, instead of renting their lodge out for more money and kicking them out at 9am!

When I arrived in October-November I loved my stay.

Everything was perfect and I was very pleased! It was very clean and very welcoming, I felt very comfortable.

Overall great short break and the log cabins have a very cosy feel to them.

We liked how the lodges were lit up with Xmas lights and we had a Xmas tree. There was enough parking for 2 cars at the lodge and it was fully fenced which made it very private. The hot tub was ready for use when we got there and bath robes were provided 2 in each room which was handy for the tub. The bathrooms had great showers and the master bedroom had a great bed too. There was plenty of storage in both bedrooms drawers and double wardrobes. The kitchen was very well equipped and top quality appliances Siemens. Only slight issue no cover for hot tub ie veranda would make using it in hot weather difficult also if it was raining. Not a problem for our stay though in December. Local shop not always open need to get milk etc while you are out in nearby towns oakham or Stamford. Great break will recommend to friends and family. One downside no dogs allowed our family and friends most have dogs.

Where the hot tub was the grass was very muddy and paving flags was very slippy.

We was expecting a sauna inside the log cabin because it advices all log cabins has saunas. The leather settee was very uncomfortable and not very cosy for cuddling up on. The TV in the main bedroom was very high up and far away so it would of been nice to have a bigger screen. We tried the cafe the 1st night and it wasn't very nice food (over priced) the chips was hard and undercooked and it smelt of old cooking fat in the cafe so we came out smelling of old cooking fat. It could do with more lighting outside because you can't really see where you are going at night when it's dark outside.

The stay was a real letdown as the cabin is stunning!

Me and my partner got woken up at 8am to the sound of drilling and banging behind our cabin. Went outside to discover a tradesman putting a fence up! Not only that but we couldn’t use the hot tub facility as it was right near where he was working. The whole site felt like a building site seeing tradesmen walking around and transit vans parked up. I thought all this was so out of order considering this could have been arranged at a time where nobody was staying on the site. Really let down the experience as we came away for some peace and quiet
