This is such a lovely place to stay, lodges are well equipped and maintained

The lodge was extraordinary, everything was all organised, very clean and we had everything we needed.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Great, spacious lodge, very warm with underfloor heating, lots of storage and some lovely treats on arrival. Great to have plenty of towels and bathrobes too. The hot tub was great! Fantastic idea to be able to book exclusive use of the pool. The only constructive feedback I would give is that there wasn’t enough cutlery (two teaspoons!), the wifi signal did not stretch to the bedrooms and that the pool area / changing rooms weren’t very clean. Overall a fantastic stay, thank you!

Rowan lodge was very nice, clean and ready as soon as we arrived with a lovely welcome pack. For us the bed was very comfy. Our one and only gripe was the settees, they were very uncomfortable but this is maybe because they are bed settees. We would much prefer a 3 seater and 2 seater normal settee. Other than that we would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a luxury break in a proper log cabin with a clean hot tub. Thank you for having us again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

I cannot speak highly enough of this lodge and the facilities around it.

The lodge was equipped with everything necessary for a good stay and the place was immaculately clean when we arrived. The staff on site were friendly and helpful, I will be returning to repeat this holiday experience in the near future. Thank you to all involved.

What a beautiful lodge with all the comfort of home.

Hot tub in your private side garden was a nice touch. Indoor Swimming pool which can be booked for 30mins for just your group! Really nice helpful people. Small issue with ants on the second day but to be expected anywhere you go, and few crumbs left in cupboard. This would not put me off booking again. I’ll be definitely going back

Put in Willow Lodge as hot tub not working in Rowan - this wasn’t a problem.

Lodge was lovely, clean and comfortable, excellent wifi and well equipped. There was an issue with the heating - apparently the boiler had an intermittent fault, which meant that sometimes the lodge was chilly. We didn’t complain as, because it was intermittent, we thought it was us just feeling the cold more! We mentioned it on leaving and we’re given the explanation. It would have been nice to have been told earlier and perhaps been given an alternative form of heating for when it wasn’t working. The only other small issue was the grout in the on-site shower was very discoloured and could do with a good clean. Despite these issues we would return like a shot - it’s a lovely place.

There were a few minor fixings that we noticed but nothing to the detriment of our stay but left a note to let the owner know The lodge, hot tub and utilities in the kitchen were excellent, we will hopefully look to return again

Notified about problem with hot tub on arrival told it would be ok next day it didn’t work for the whole of our stay we were told to use tub in empty lodges next door on Wednesday but no outside lights on so unsafe on Thursday offered use of tub 3 lodges away but don’t wish to walk around site in dark in swimwear in 4c temp very poor service we go there for the use of hot tub which we couldn’t use for our entire stay, they knew there was a problem we should have been offered alternative accommodation there were plenty empty lodges - we reported problem several times but nothing done, not even any compensation very very poor service after 6 visits sadly we won’t be back

Rowan Lodge is the 2nd to last lodge on the right.

Lovely accommodation that has everything needed for a week or more stay. Hot top was always hot and easy to use. Lots of stunning places to visit including Rutland Waters, Exon, Stamford and other “chocolate box” villages. Would highly recommend.

The location of the lodges on the site is well thought out.

You would never think anyone else was around outside of the lodges. Staff very friendly, very helpful. Just be aware if your on EE reception is terrible

The whole site was absolutely amazing and so peaceful!

! The Lodge was of an excellent standard and provided everything we needed. It was also great value for what we got. All the staff were so friendly and we slept so well!! The location was spot on with easy access to lots of amenities and places to see. We will definitely return.

Could not fault this amazing gem of a lodge , the photos were great but in reality it was better still , we will definitely return again at some point in the future , and so many places to visit local too .

The little treats left for us were a lovely touch too …. Highly recommended by all of our party thankyou

very nice site polite and helpful people lodge was nice but let down by poor house keeping dust and old food remains in between cushions crumbs left on top of toaster the oven had burnt food still on the shelves shower screen had one set off wheels completely out off the track door and draw handles loose locked in bathroom for five minutes due to loose door lock out of 3 tv;s you could only watch one bedroom tv stuck on one channel only and in the other bedroom tv aerial problems advertised has a luxury lodge these things spoilt it for me

Fourth trip to this site and the third different lodge.

They have been near identical apart from one building being a mirror-image of the others. Missus is already asking when we will go back. Equipment and facilities in the lodge are excellent and of a better standard than we have at home. Staff welcoming but non-intrusive.

The lodge was exactly as stated, and the extra touches of luxury made it a very enjoyable stay

Rowen lodge was fantastic and just what we wanted/ needed.

Everyone we spoke to was more than happy to help and so friendly! The facilities In the lodge were better than we could have thought. We really really loved the heated flooring, many bonus points. There was everything you needed to cook i.e. pots pans, cutlery. MY partner had 1 comment of maybe include more than 1 frying pan. However, didn't affect our stay plus who really cooks that much aha. The swimming pool was a great addition, but do bear in mind it is chilly water. Again, will not effect your time. THE HOTTUB IS THE BEST THING! Of an evening laying the in hot tub looking up at the stars was so beautiful. We will 100% be booking to come back in warmer weather. The local villages were so peaceful and beautiful to explore. Would highly recommend. They also have a park onsite with camping spaces and motorhome hook ups. We didn't try but a couple times a week there is a café open which seemed to have a great menu and prices.

Great place to use as a base to tour around the area.

Very clean, very quiet, well appointed cabin. Any minor problems were dealt with very quickly by very friendly staff. Excellent food in the on site cafe. Would highly recommend it.

Great place to stay , every thing we needed , will stay again .

We (family of 4), had a long weekend at Rowan Lodge and we couldn’t have been happier.

The lodge itself was well equipped, spacious and warm. The double bed was a bit squeaky but, we coped. The hot tub was fantastic and being able to hire the pool for a private swim was amazing. Location was perfect for exploring around the area, Oakham, Stamford and Rutland Water all within a short drive. All in all, a lovely stay and one which we’ll hopefully repeat soon. Thank you.

Overall we had a fantastic stay in Rowan Lodge.

It was spotlessly clean and all communication prior to our stay was brilliant. Check in and out was very easy and all staff were friendly and welcoming. Only three very small comments: Would it be possible to have recycling box/bin in the accommodation to make recycling easier, The patio paving slabs would benefit from a clean as they were a bit slippery and green, We felt it would be fairer to allocate the number of free swimming pool sessions proportionate to the length of stay. So the longer the stay the more free sessions you receive. We were very comfortable in the accommodation and would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Third visit this year, always really welcoming and warm when we arrive, even if it’s freezing out!

Bottle of fizz and eggs on arrival is a lovely touch. Really clean, beds are very comfortable, under floor heating is amazing! Hot tub is great, plenty of towels and robes to use. The swimming pool is a bonus, nice and warm as well. Good location for Rutland Water plus walking distance to a couple of pubs and parks for kids. All in all absolutely ideal for a relaxing getaway

I got more than I expected.

I was amazed by the cleanliness of the lodge, the amenities and the attention to detail. It's obvious that the site is run by passionate people who love what they do. I was looking for tranquillity to escape the city and this week was really rejuvenating. Finally, I work in tourism and I have rarely seen such a level of professionalism and such quality of accommodation. I would add that the term "luxury" is absolutely not usurped. I will be back, that's for sure.

Stunning, a perfect safe environment for the family

The property was very clean and well kept only problem was that the doors kept sticking.

The site was lovely and quiet and very secure. The site is well positioned for easy access to all the tourist attractions in the area and we enjoyed a nice and relaxing holiday there and will be happy to come back again soon.

Extremely clean,comfortable & welcoming. Very well equipped kitchen. Shower was easy for my disabled husband to walk in & use. Beds & sofas v comfortable. Loved the v private patio,with furniture & hot tub. Couldn't fault a thing. Enjoyed our stay & I'm sure we will be back! Thank you

Had a lovely stay, would definitely come back and already recommended it to soo many people !

However only let down was the pool, half an hour free only once for the whole stay.. and then £16 for half on hour on top, really not worth it .. otherwise everything was lovely

Firstly please let me apologise as I had completed the feedback form in the lodge but then accidentally packed it.

What a wonderful stay my family and I had. From the minute we arrived with the lovely touch of the Prosecco, eggs and condiments and the radio playing it instantly felt like home. Everywhere was clean and we could not wait to get in to the hot tub. We all slept extremely well and felt the beds were super comfy, we did forget to check what mattress it was on the double bed so if you are able to tell us that would be fab. Plenty of towels, and bathrobes for our use. We thought all the white goods worked extremely well from the dishwasher to the washing machine. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed a daily dip. We would definitely recommend staying again and if there is a way we can book direct I would be keen to know if possible. Points to note which are no way a negative but nice to know so they can be sorted. The light above the sink in the main bathroom did not work and also one light in the en suite. The room with the 2 single beds the door is very squeaky and so is the front and back doors. There was also an ants nest in the utility cupboard but it did not effect our stay. It would be nice to have a lamp of some sort in the living room for the evenings. But we still had a truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend. Thankyou so much.

The lodges were amazing!

The underfloor heating was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was nice to get into and relax at the end of the day after exploring the local towns. The kitchen had everything we needed along with a nice coffee machine. The reception team were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this lodge to family and friends.

Roman Lodge is truly a luxury lodge.

It’s furnished and equipped with top quality items, and everything about it is just perfect and very comfortable. We miss the underfloor heating now that we’re home! It was a joy to step out of the shower onto warm tiles. The lodges are set well apart from each other; the garden and hot tub are very private. This was a special celebration break and our family were all equally comfortable in the other three lodges we booked. Thank you!

Had a fantastic week in Rowan lodge it was spotless comfy and cosy one of the best log cabins we have stayed in.

Visited lots of lovely surrounding villages and pubs and our walking boots were put to good use a very relaxing break.

Well laid out site with an excellent comfortable lodge.

Hot tub was very private in own garden. Everything we needed was on hand including a very comfortable bed and we had an extremely relaxing stress-free week away. Thank you!

OUTSTANDING!

! The cleanliness and attention to detail was awesome, staff where great and the lodge immaculate, we had a great time, we will be booking again! The hot tub was checked every day (When not occupied), Private sorroundings and great facilities. The local pub ( the Plough) , Awesome food, great beer and best of all a friendly atmosphere thet made you feel at home. Could not recommend more!

Only one issue with the WiFi, which has been resolved.

The lodge was superb no problems and well managed, spoke to the owner on a few occasions, very friendly. Surprised at the welcome pack on arrival.

The lodge we stayed in had excellent fixtures and fittings.

The boys loved the hot tub which made their holiday worthwhile.
