What guests are saying
Would certainly have no problem in recommending Acorn Lodge.
It is a large 3 bedroomed lodge nestled quietly in the woods of Kenwick Park. It has a large living/dining/kitchen area spacious enough for all 5 of us to comfortably move around, the kitchen is very well equipped, making cooking easy. The hot tub is great, we sat in it and watched the birds on the bird feeders. It really did feel like we were in the middle of nowhere with some woodland walks around us. There are some dvds and games if you need them in either bad weather (we had a couple of thunder storms) or to relax on an evening, the owner, Brenda, has thought of everything. Brenda sent a text to make sure we had settled in and I think this is always a nice touch. She had also provided some tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, again a nice touch especially if you arrive after a long journey. It was very clean, well maintained, plenty of towels provided, we really could not fault anything and are already checking the diary to see when we can return. As this is a private rent if you wish to use the leisure facilities in the Hotel you do need to buy a 'day pass' which is currently £25 per person and the golf tee time fee varies, but you can use the bar and restaurant.
Cosy & comfortable lodge.
Plenty of space for our family of 4 and 1 doggo. Lovely and clean and everything thought of. Warm & welcoming hosts. Gorgeous spot, the perfect getaway from the rat race. Hot tub was a hit and the A/C was a welcome surprise. Thank you Brenda & Brian we highly recommend your lovely lodge ♥️
The park its self is lovely and peaceful, however the accommodation wasn’t.
My husband had to mend the main bedroom door as the handle was coming off and the door itself had dropped, every time you shut the door it banged loudly. The bath mat had a big hole in it. There was only a small fridge and no freezer. The crockery and cutlery was missing match and basic. We paid for a luxury lodge and unfortunately we didn’t get one. It’s the first time we used Sykes cottages and the last time. The customer service wasn’t great. I rang to see if we could change the location to tattershall park but we would lose the entire price,we paid in full when we booked,if we’d only paid the deposit we would have lost that which I was prepared to do but to lose the it all, over 1300 pounds.
