The accommodation was excellent it was fresh & clean as if it was its very first letting.

We spoke to Tracey & Ramon during our stay & they were most welcoming .One small act but which really impressed us was receiving a text from them during our journey to them saying that coffee/tea & fresh milk were ready & waiting our arrival

You won’t find better hosts, always there if needed, peaceful, quiet, this is my happy place.

Kick your shoes off and enjoy. I should know, I have been many times. Thank you both for a lovely week as always. See you soon.

I needed some me time . Was beautiful place. Very private. Quiet surroundings. Not over priced. And my little dog enjoyed it too. Thankyou to the owners.

Lovely hosts very accommodating, especially as we booked in the same day.

Electric went off a few times- reasons unknown but was very quickly resolved through the responsiveness of the hosts. Nice pub down the road and catching the sun rise on the beach walking our dog was lovely. We enjoy cooking home cooked meals and had enough utensils for doing just that. The hosts provide tea, coffee, milk and washing up liquid everything else you’ll need to purchase on your own but that’s expected as it’s very good value for money. Really enjoyed our stay, thank you so much. If you are planning on working whilst you are there and using WiFi- it’s not very strong and was unable to access this efficiently to be able to work so just something to bare in mind if this is something you are considering. The home itself was lovely and quaint, very warm and homely with lovely little touches throughout. Thank you for having us- especially at such short notice. X

We've really enjoyed our stay at Angel's Retreat.

..such a lovely cosy accommodation and convenient for all local attractions. Great to have had plenty of space to put food etc in the kitchen cupboards which was really helpful as so many places we've stayed in before seem to fill them up with unnecessary volumes of glasses and pots lol. All in all I cannot fault anything at all and thank the owners once again. I'm sure we'll return, praps for a spring or summer retreat. Thankyou!!

Lovely clean and cozy property, brilliant location.

Angels retreat was the perfect place for a get away.

The accommodation was amazingly clean and cosy. It was perfect for our cocker spaniel with plenty of space and an enclosed garden area that was safe for her to roam. The location of the property was perfect and only a five minute drive to the beach. It was quiet and warm and had everything you would need to self cater. We had no faults at all with the property. We had the best time.

A lovely cottage with everything included in a quiet village on the bus route between Skegness and Mablethorpe.

Could happily live in it.

We felt we could ring the owners if we needed to, as we had already met them in the garden. They were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was perfect size for 2 adults and a silly dog. We would go there again.

Nice accommodation and well equipped.

Great location for walking. Very friendly pub with good food just along the road. Thank goodness for a torch on a phone when the dog wanted to go out late at night, not much light pollution there. Was a light source at property but needs new batteries I suspect

We enjoyed our stay in Angels Retreat, it is a well cared for single storey cottage ,very clean , lovely furnishings , and 2 areas that are secure if you are taking a dog ,was perfect for our Pug he could go out and we knew he was safe, the cottage is in a ideal place to visit many places on the coast and we were lucky we had beautiful weather,we have booked again for next spring as we know it suits our needs .

Nice comfy retreat near a nice food serving public house, the Axe and Cleaver and within 15 miles of Skegness, Louth, 3-6 miles Sutton on Sea, Mablethorpe, Alford and a few more.

Try the Loewen (Bijou) cinema in Mablethorpe.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Angel’s Retreat, had everything we needed and the patio area was very dog safe.

Very conveniently placed just 10 minutes walk from local pub/restaurant and Huttoft Car Terrace beach only 3 miles away. Met owners who were very friendly and who showed us their new just completed rental property also in their garden. Would recommend.

Beautiful cottage 2nd time there and booked peartree that the lovely owners have just completed when we were leaving, they showed us round it when we arrived it's beautiful can't wait to try it next april we love it there it's so peaceful lovely pub short walk away so near so many quiet and dog friendly beaches lots of lovely walks just a really nice place and Tracy and Raymond very helpful and really friendly we just love it there home from Home

We had a fantastic stay , the cottage was lovely and so peaceful, it had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean , great outdoor space for our small dog and very secure for him , very central for the coast and lots of villages plus it’s near a huge beach with a lovely cafe , would not hesitate to stay again

The cottage was lovely: spotlessly clean and furnished with modern, comfortable furniture.

In fact, the living room must have been updated since the website brochure photos were taken as it was much nicer and had a new sofa. It was very useful to have private parking. The outside area was small and concreted. The weather didn’t allow us to sit out there but we noted that it was well enclosed so we would’ve been able to let our dog out there without worrying about her escaping. All in all, we had a lovely four nights In the cottage. The only improvement that I would suggest is maybe a new mattress for the bed as I found it rather uncomfortable. I would still return though as as , overall, the cottage exceeded our expectations.

The property is exactly as listed and is in perfect condition, the shower is a bit small and water pressure not good but everything else in the property is first class.

It's in a lovely quiet village but ideally situated to visit all the attractions in the area. We chose the wrong time of year really (January) as lots of the places are still closed for the winter and it was extremely cold outside. But would recommend this property if a quiet break in Lincolnshire is what you are looking for.

! Lovely clean well equipped accomodation.. Tucked away at back of Cranford House. Easy parking..Walk through the gate & you're in you're own private courtyard.The sofa with it's recliner seat was the icing on the cake!! Bed was comfy.Linen & towels were high quality..& the kitchen provided all we needed to cook & enjoy our meals!! All things which help make a perfect break..Returned home relaxed & refreshed!!

A good base for exploring the Wolds and beaches.The place was spotlessly clean, smelt fresh and had good quality linens and towels. Beautifully decorated.Very private. We really liked the small enclosed patio-pretty at night with fairy lights and great to sit out with the mutt. There was no BBQ/chiminea/patio heater as described but maybe it would be provided on request. Well equipped kitchen generally with large fridge/freezer but no kitchen foil/cling film/salt/pepper/oil etc although tea/coffee and fresh milk provided.There was no handsoap either. Fabulously comfy sofa however we found the mattress uncomfortable but appreciate others may not.Plenty of hot water. Easy parking next to property. Use of large garden. This was a brilliant place for a short break. The points raised are not complaints but for information-we really did have a lovely time and would 4.5 stars out of 5 if we could.

Lovely accommodation, loved the dog friendly courtyard, next to the farm and the wider garden was stunning.

Accommodation was beautifully equipped and furnished. Perfect quiet rural location and bus route was great for getting to travelling further afield along the coast. Wi Fi very reliable. Need a car to explore places off the bus route. Would recommend and I’m likely to return. Hosts were very welcoming and friendly, but not in any way intrusive. Great holiday, thank you

I say another, I have stayed a few times and I know there is always a lovely welcome. Clean, fresh and super comfy in every way, so, kick back, relax, you won’t be dissapointed. At last, lovely to meet you both look forward to my next visit with the pooch. Top marks as always.

This cottage was lovely had everything you needed on such a beautiful coast so near all the beautiful unspoiled beaches which most were dog friendly all year round we loved our stay here and would love to return in the future the cottage is beautifuly decorated and really comfortable lovely and peaceful and we were really lucky to have beautiful weather all week so was a bonus thank you for such a lovely stay

Fabulous stay.

Beautiful accommodation in a peaceful village. Perfect location for exploring Lincolnshire. A short drive to the nearest beach which is vast white sand and secluded...a far cry from Skegness! But if you’re after the busyness of colourful Skegness...it is just a short drive away. About an hours drive from Lincoln City which is a “must” if you are visiting Lincolnshire. You can catch the Park & Ride from Waitrose, Lincoln ...enjoy a full day there and pick up your groceries from Waitrose on your return journey. Lincoln City is why I visited but had the best of both worlds being at the coast with all the beautiful walks and fresh air. Loved my stay at this lovely place and will definitely return. It has everything you need. Fresh milk, tea and coffee was also provided which was very thoughtful. It is super clean, tidy, tastefully furnished and very cosy. Definitely a 5 Star from me. Thank you

Comfortable,private and very clean holiday let Peaceful location, close to very uncrowded beaches which fit the description of "Big Sky "which the North Lincs coast is known for .

Excellent location to explore and walk miles of empty beaches and dog made very welcome nice pub very close with good food.

We had difficulty finding the property as the name on the board said "Angel's Retreat", whereas on the Sykes listing it is just "Cranford House".

A bit confusing! A small point, but maybe one of them needs changing. We will be re-visiting, so not a problem for us, but might be for new people.

Really lovely cottage/chalet.

Very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Well equipped and nice to have a good sized fridge/freezer, so you can take food with you if you want to self-cater, rather than eat out all the time. Plenty of outdoor space to sit and eat alfresco, especially as a barbecue and patio heater are provided. Really secure for dogs as well. Near to beaches by car, but in a village setting, so best of both worlds. Also near to garage and village shop, added bonus.

We had a great week at the cottage.

It is an ideal base for touring the area. The cottage is well decorated and furnished with everything you need and is very cosy. The cleanliness was amazing. The hosts are great, there if you need them but not intrusive. We loved everything and will definitely be back.

A very enjoyable stay and no complaints.

Possible improvements? maybe a larger washbasin in bathroom, perhaps a slightly higher garden screen as this would improve privacy from Mill across field and lastly a recycling bin seemed missing but these just minor points really, for as said already - a lovely stay and would love to return again someday.

So relaxing, cosy & comfortable (even blankets in a basket to snuggle on settee if you want). Thoughtful Welcome Pack from the lovely owners of wine, fresh milk, tea, coffee, etc - everything you need after a long journey. Bed = excellent nights sleep. Local area & golden beaches are clean & lovely. Gorgeous local scenery. Eating Places - Recommend Axe & Cleaver, Huttoft & Square Pizza takeaway (who deliver). Places to Visit - Recommend Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary & Wildlife Centre & Wolds Wildlife Park, Horncastle. Thank you so much for a much needed relaxing break. Wouldn't hesitate in returning.

The cottage was clean, bright and very comfortable.

It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We valued the privacy, including in the outdoor areas (though it was too cold to sit out), and the useful local shop in easy walking distance.

We really had no expectations about this holiday as we just had to leave our house while a new bathroom was fitted.

But what a lovely surprise from the great idea of the key safe to opening the door to a comfortable cozy cottage so very clean and everything we could need had been thought about and how nice not to have endless rules written down. Just a few minutes drive away from from miles of empty sandy beaches. There was a note left in the cottage to say the towels would be changed after the 1st not only were they charged the cottage was cleaned top to bottom and what a fantastic job. Many thanks again for a great holiday.

This was my second visit to cranford house.

On opening the door, you wind down with your busy life behind you, so peaceful, quiet, so clean and fresh, beautiful aroma’s throughout. Through the gate you are met with a beautiful flower garden, the whole residence is beautifully maintained. Many a G&T has been enjoyed in the garden with my dog and a good book, it’s hard to peel yourself away. Thank you again for a wonderful week in your lovely property.

After a very long journey from Holland via Harwich, we arrived at Cranfield House which was very easy to find from the directions we were given, and immediately as we walked through the house, we were greeted with the gentle hint of perfume, everything was clean and well presented.

The sofa and chair were luxurious and comfortable. We have a beagle dog, so having an enclosed area for him to walk in and out of the property into our patio area was lovely for him and us ;-) The location was great for dog walking as within a 2-minute walk was the village green with a doggie bin and plenty of leafy lanes to wander down with our dog. Everyone we met including the owners were very friendly. We stayed when it was extreme heat in the UK and all weather records were shattered on this hottest day of the year. In our bedroom was only one small window that opened, even with all the other doors and windows opened fully it was still 37 Celcius at night. So we were thankful that had we bought our fans with us to try and cool the room down. But who was to know this? Otherwise, I would have marked the rate of my stay at a 5/5. Next time we want to visit the area, we will book Cranford House again and have already recommended it to my family.

Nice big beaches to visit close by. Although it feels like your off the beaten track. You are only a few miles from Skegness /Mablethorpe. The owners are very helpful, and if you have travelled from afar you are greeted by a very clean premise. Plus supplies to make a nice cup of tea/coffee. Highly recommended. Alan & Angela.

Loved Huttoft beach which was great for walking my dog. Cottage was very comfortable and peaceful. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Lovely patio area for sitting Inthe sunshine and a great small orchard and field just outside the garden gate. I would definitely return for another holiday.

Very well maintained with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Very quiet and peaceful but in easy reach of all local attractions. Great location, could of done with a pair of oven gloves,a pizza cutter,coat hangers on which you can hang trousers and maybe a mat inside kitchen door and side door.

Door seal on fridge was absolutely filthy,a breeding ground for bacteria.

What a wonderful stay at Cranford House!

Tracy and Ramon were so accommodating and thoughtful, especially with the small touches like extra blankets and tea/coffee refreshments. Cranford House is a little home away from home, very cosy, clean, comfortable and exactly what you need when you need that break from reality.
