The location was fantastic.
So peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub and all the woodland wild life that are busying around you. The inside was lovely and clean but, first impression when you arrive is the outside. The stairs, all around the hot tub area and the decking area had not been cleaned for a while. There were cobwebs all over the place. You don't expect to have to come and clean when you arrive. The sofas where very soft and you literally sink into them. There is no WiFi in this cabin as it is too far away for the signal making getting the TV to work an issue. Bring some games or cards for those rainy days. The kitchen blinds are broken. When we tried to open them they fell off the wall. All in all we did enjoy our stay. And would return
To be honest lodge 108 was good.
However, please see below our observations : 1/ The oven only worked intermittently - Many times it would go off mid cooking. 2/ The grill never worked. 3/ To have only 3 dishwasher tablets all week was very poor, thus needed to buy our own. 4/ Had to buy our own washing up liquid due to very little present. 5/ To only have 1 towel each for the whole week was very disappointing. Surely 2 towels each should be left. 6/ 1 of the plugs next to the TV does not work. 7/ The water pressures for both showers was very poor. 8/ To pay £1.00 per towel for each visit to the swimming pool is not right at all. It isn't the cost but the principle. We paid to stay in the lodge and site due to the facilities provided. There is no mention of further costs for the use of the spa and facilities. 9/ We wanted to hire bikes however, each time we couldn't due to being closed. 10/ Bethany on reception was lovely, warm and helpful however, the staff within the spa were not warm and friendly. In fact they were miserable and clearly came over as not happy to work there at all. They would do better to smile !! Kind regards, Mark
