Sunset lodge was the perfect stay at Woodhall Country Park.

..The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, just like home from home everything was catered for. Dawn the owner had left thoughtful gifts for our wedding anniversary which was such a lovely surprise. Our 16yr old grandaughter loved her stay after studying for her final exams...The park is beautiful and peaceful with a fishing lake just over the decking area, My husband was so pleased we have booked to go again...The hot tub was spotless and freshly filled beforehand and so relaxing. We took our frenchie and he was safely surrounded by beautiful composit decking and fencing which was secure for him not to go astray...He loved watching the ducks on the lake. Everything was thoroughly thought of and the Lodge was well equipped and beautiful inside and out. The patio furniture was nice too!! We are all looking forward to going again in September...The tea house in the woods at Woodhall spa was the restaurant we had tea every night...food is really good and catered for me as a vegan...local co-op for shopping or sainsbury's...Plenty of rural walks and the viking walk. Jubilee outdoor swimming for families. Also some quirky little shops. Such a lovely place to stay

Great property, very clean and comfortable.

The utility room was extremely useful for cleaning up wet dogs after their rainy day walks. Super local amenities and only a short drive to the coast where there are plenty of dog friendly beaches. Would recommend this property to family and friends.

Everything was perfect!

From the moment we booked Sunset Lodge communication with Sykes and owner Dawn was excellent.

On arrival we found the lodge immaculate inside and out. It was home from home with some lovely personal touches, and the lodge had everything you could possibly need, with some lovely goodies left by Dawn for both us and our dog. The park and the lakes are beautifully kept, and we loved seeing the geese and ducks everyday. Very quiet and peaceful and a really relaxing place to stay. The hot tub is a lovely addition and also great to stay somewhere with clean, comfortable outdoor furniture. Very dog safe with the spacious wrap around decking too. Woodhall Spa village is approx. 15 mins walk with great places to eat and shops. Owner Dawn went above and beyond when we left a valuable item behind. She promptly packaged it up well and posted back to us at no extra cost. We would not hesitate to recommend Sunset Lodge and will definitely be returning. Thank you Dawn x

Sunset Lodge is an outstanding place to stay and we couldn't have asked for more Dawn has a real eye for attention to detail and the lovely personal touches from doggie treats with our girls name on to the most beautiful welcome hamper.

Sunset Lodge is immaculate and the beds were lovely fresh and comfortable, each bedroom having it's own bathroom was a real bonus. The kitchen was so well equipped, even had a double air fryer if you wanted to use it. The hot tub was beautifully clean and nothing was too much trouble for Dawn, the place is a real home from home, and a great place to make memories, it was closer to the lake than we thought which was great for the boys fishing. All very dog safe too with a beautiful wrap around decking with beautiful furniture out side too. We would happily recommend Sunset Lodge to anyone. WELL DONE DAWN

Everything was great.

From making the booking to arrangements for leaving. This lodge was on a well run attractive site that had a wonderful lakeside placement. We were a four adult family group that enjoys local walks, nature, history and soaking in a hot tub at the end of the day. The town had everything we needed and was a pleasant walk away through the woods. The set up of the lodge worked well for us and the hot tub didn't disappoint with dark skies and peaceful surroundings. The owner had thoughtfully put together good information checked everything was okay and we had settled in and left some welcome goodies.

Sunset lodge is beautiful and the owner was absolutely amazing, couldn’t do enough to make the stay more perfect.

However, communication with Sykes was absolutely shocking. Would never use them again. We had to make some changes to our booking, getting information from Sykes customer service was non existent. Was on hold for over an hour waiting to speak to someone on more than one occasion. No one took responsibility for our booking, never returned my calls or tried to resolve the issue. As I’ve mentioned already the lodge was amazing and communication with the owner was perfect. Just would never book with Sykes again.

Stayed for 4 nights at Sunset Lodge, what a lovely ,homely comfortable place it was definitely had the wow factor.

Well equipped kitchen, comfortable settees and 2 lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Loads of outside space to relax and enjoy lakeside view and jacuzzi to enjoy too. Lovely little touches from Dawn leaving milk, wine, fruit loaf and yummy biscuits. Also let us know when lodge was ready and keen to ensure we arrived safely. Was there if you needed any help. Loved our stay and looking forward to returning in the future.

We are a family of 4 adults stayed at Sunset lodge August 25.

Beautifully presented lodge immaculately clean and comfortable. The owner was in touch with us in case we needed anything. However the attention to detail was great, the owners have really thought about everything anyone could want or need. Lovely quiet location approx 15 mins walk into woodhall spa with lovely restaurants and a few shops. The hot tub is a great addition to the property. The lodge is spacious and really is home from home.

Beautifully located around a lovely peaceful lake This lodge had absolutely everything you could possibly need and more, well equipped inside and out Items brought with us from home were certainly not needed.

Even standing fans provided in all rooms were a blessing in the heat wave we had at the time of our stay. Dawn the owner left a lovely surprise for my elderly mum's birthday of card, cake and bottle of fizz (thankyou Dawn) Even milk and cookies left for us. In addition outside hot tub to relax in comfortable outdoor furniture and parasol. May i add , spotlessly clean throughout, certainly 5 star rating from us, wouldnt hesitate on staying again x Susan and Iris

Beautiful setting & the lodge is so clean with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. The welcome hamper was really appreciated with so many thoughtful items - the best welcome hamper we’ve ever received! The hot tub was perfection too! Dawn was very friendly & the communication was great. Can’t fault anything & would love to return

We had a fantastic weekend ,Dawn welcomed us on arrival and we were very pleased with the welcome gift and the immaculate presentation of the lodge.

The property is very spacious and extremely clean, everything you need is available, location was perfect and very quite, overall a fantastic lodge and will definitely return.

We have stayed at many lodges over the years and Sunset Lodge was tops!

Cleanliness, we normally have to re-wipe surfaces but no. Not a spot of dust absolutely well cared for. The utensils pots pans and glasses, mugs, plates etc. were exactly what you need and more. Outside was spotless and a lovely hot tub. Large secure decking area, as we took our two dogs this was ideal. Lodge did not smell of dog, but we ensured that we left it as we found it. Dish washer, washing machine, utility, but again everywhere was spotless. Highly recommend and the nice touch for our dogs of treats and a nice bottle of wine, milk and some treats was really pleasing for the adults. Very well kept park and very peaceful.

The standard of the accommodation was excellent.

We couldn’t find anything that we felt would need improving. The communication from Dawn, the owner, was first class. No complaints at all.

What can I say, Sunset Lodge is beautiful, the location is perfect, if you love to be out in nature as we do then this is the perfect spot, the lodge is stunning

Lovely lodge in immaculate condition.

We stayed for a short break for a golf competition as a family of 4 and it was ideal, we will definitely be returning to stay. The Village Limits restaurant on the edge of the country park is a must visit for its quirky decor and great food.

Very well equipped, lovely position overlooking the lake.

Ample seating in and outdoors. Milk in the fridge when we arrived. Dawn the owner left a lovely surprise to welcome my son's partner.

Fab lodge all equipment to a very high standard great welcoming gift plenty of room great walks for the dog lodge located on lake side overall was very impressive and would definitely return again located within easy reach either by car or walking into centre of Woodhall Spa would recommend.

Lovely clean, modern and well equip modern lodge.

Good to have many essential items, although unexpected i.e. salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, tea, coffee, sugar, dish washing liquid and clothes etc although we mainly took everything with us it was still good to have these things available. Dog treats and pooh bags made us feel very welcome with our dogs. HOT TUB 10/10 BED 10/10 Not an awful lot to do this time of year but still a very nice relaxing break.

Beautifully kept cabin in a great location, we didn't want to leave, Dawn was a fabulous host too.

The lodge is stunning, we had a great weekend.

Great Mon-Fri Stay @Sunset Lodge.

Comms prior to arrival were good. Amazing welcome pack for all guests (including dog) upon arrival. Accommodation surpassed all expectations, literally everything we needed for a family of 4 + a dog! Lodge was really well presented and spacious! Site was quiet, peaceful and really well maintained! Short walk into town that the kids 5+7 managed with independent shops and a few supermarket (Local/Metro style) to get anything you needed. Will definitely return, a real hidden gem!

We had the most relaxing long weekend at Sunset Lodge.

The accommodation was impeccable and extremely well equipped, and the view across the lake was excellent. The owner left us some thoughtful welcome treats, which were greatly appreciated. We would highly recommend this lodge to anyone; you won’t be disappointed!

The lodge was perfect with everything we needed the little touches with the gift pack for albi amd the plum bread and bottle of wine for ourself were so thoughtful we were reluctant to leave and are already planning another visit x

Absolutely fantastic accommodation in a beautiful location.

Peaceful & totally relaxing. Fishing on the lake (if that’s your thing), soaking in the hot tub or just sitting & reading on the decking (if it isn’t raining). The Street food & bar were good value & both were great quality. Nice walks & the local town is only 20 minutes walk. Will definitely be going back again. Loved it.
