The actual lodge was lovely, fab hot tub, nice quiet area, however the cleanliness was not great.

For the amount paid we would expect clean sheets, they were very stained in the main bedroom. There was a lot of hairs around the property (perhaps dog hairs from the previous customers) however again, these could have been easily cleaned. There were dead insects around the bath. The dishwasher had seen better days, hanging on literally. Lots of dust underneath the beds/couches, which had not been cleaned. Im not a picky person but basic cleanliness surely isn't too much to expect.

Absolutely stunning lodge - very peaceful, huge & just all round amazing.

Washer, full sized fridge & freezer, utility room which is really warm so dries Swim stuff quickly. Great WiFi, netflix, tvs in both rooms is a huge bonus. Plenty of essentials - toilet roll, kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets, tea towel which a lot of other lodges miss. We loved our stay & cannot wait to come back

Brilliant lodge, so peaceful would recommend a clean of spider webs and insects etc may help with aesthetics but that’s being picky

A lovely lodge in a quiet setting.

It had everything we needed to be comfortable. Hot tub was great. Games and jigsaws were a good idea. The bottle of wine in the fridge was a nice touch. Would definitely go back.

Had a lovely stay.

The sofa’s we found very low and difficult to get up off. There was not much information in the information folder instructions for dishwasher and hot tub would have been useful as not familiar with these items.

Really enjoyed our stay here; so much so, we looked to see if it was available to stay on (it was, but we didnt have the funds unfortunately).

I think the only negative, was the stone/gravel road that takes you into and around the site. It's not easy to walk on if you are disabled and impossible to push a wheelchair on. There are steps at the front of the Lodge, but if you are disabled, you could use the main bedroom to come and go, as the decking at the back is only very slightly raised. This area is also where the hottub is; that was lovely. I wasn't happy that there was no contact number, in case you had any questions. I've always had a contact number to call or text for all the many properties I've stayed in with Sykes. For this property, you have to go through Sykes for any issues. We did have an issue during our stay and fortunately it was during office hours. Sykes answered my call in under 30mins and I'm happy to say, within 10mins of my conversation, the site maintenance man, Paul came out and fixed the problem in no time. He was a lovely bloke and we enjoyed chatting to him. There's loads of plusses; The Lodge itself is a plus, its roomy living area is bigger than I imagined. The beds are really comfy, the shower in the en-suite is good, the hottub (though not completely private) is fabulous. The surroundings were peaceful and sitting in the hottub or on the decking at the back of the Lodge is a lovely place to relax. Oh!!!, there is a freezer in the utility room (where the washer is). I don't think 'freezer' is listed, so this was great to find. The washing machine is a good one so that's another plus. Hopefully we'll have the chance to stay at Lodge01 again.

The lodge itself was really lovely and well equiped, however just a couple of things need attention, firstly the guttering at the side of the property near the hot tub area has come away just need slotting back in, when we arrived it was raining and the rain water was running down the outside wall, will cause damage to decking, secondly there was quite a few cobwebs hanging from ceiling and around the doors, didnt distract from our stay however was quite visible, I know its difficult to get to those high areas.

there was also a funny smell coming from the sink drain. but apart from that we had a lovely stay, and in an ideal location for all the areas we visited, Wisby Nature Reserve was absolutely beauitful, and only 5 minutes from the Lodge

We have booked many holidays with Sykes but this last one left us wondering whether to not book again, the place was very grubby & dirty with ants everywhere, crawling all over our food & us on the sofa,.

. we reported it & Someone brought some ant traps, but although they got less of them, they were still around. Not what you would expect from a holiday lodge, we have spent so much money with you in the last few years we feel let down by your response of, we will pass your messages on, hardly helps us does it?..

This was our second visit to Thorpe Park Lodges, and yet again, it didn’t disappoint.

We had the most delightful New Year getaway at Lodge 1. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The lodge itself is beautifully presented, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing break. The layout was perfect for our family of four, with two well-appointed bedrooms – one with a cosy double and en-suite and the other with two comfortable singles, both offering plenty of storage. The open-plan living area was a great space to relax, with the Smart TV providing plenty of entertainment. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed, and it was a joy to cook meals to enjoy at the dining table or out on the decking. Speaking of the decking, the hot tub was undoubtedly the highlight of our stay. There’s nothing quite like soaking in the warm bubbles under the crisp winter sky to truly unwind and celebrate the start of a new year.

We had a per lovely stay here again, it’s our second time and will be back again, but unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to the standard of our last visit.

The dust and hair was everywhere, we had to clean and vacuum when we arrived, but this did not affect us that much as we still had a really enjoyable stay.

Nice accommodation.

Only problem was there was no power cable for the tv in the lounge and the fridge wobbled. En suite shower looked a bit grubby as grout could do other refreshing. Well equipped with everything needed.

Absolutely brilliant spot, facilities and cleanliness.

We stayed for a long weekend as a family of four and had lots of space. Will definitely stay again.

After staying in the lodge in October, we were excited to come back and stay again as a family for longer this time.

On arrival, there were lots of areas that were not clean, marks on the cupboards and hairs in the bathrooms and bedrooms. After we tidied this up, it felt much more like the place we were so pleased with in October. There were a few areas that started to feel a bit dated. Usually places are upgraded, however since our last stay, areas of the decking were damaged, the hot tubs lid no longer had a frame attached (making it hard to get on and off) and the fridge leans forward due to weight in the door. Although these all seem fairly minor, it was something that we didn’t experience the first time round and therefore it becomes more noticeable. I hope these things can be resolved as we loved our week away and would like to return, we were just a little disappointed!

Upon arrival was quite clean and well kept.

The beds were super comfy and slept so well. The hot tub was clean and fantastic. TV was good but the channels kept cutting in and out. We used the hoover at the end of our stay but it stank of dog and was quite unpleasant to use. The parking was good but only for 2 cars, we had 3 and it was a squeeze. The freezer was unusable as it needed defrosting, it was full of ice and we couldnt really use it. Same as the dishwasher, kept getting caught on the board underneath so didnt use it in the end. Overall very lovely though, was well decorated, clean sheets and lots of towels. Thank you, will definitely come back :)

Outstanding accommodation, beautifully clean.

It was very well equipped with everything you could need, it also looked like brand new pans in the kitchen. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk was provided and a lovely bottle of prosecco was waiting for us too. Hot tub was fabulous and maintained well during our stay. We had an issue where we lost our key and someone attended very quickly to help us out. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to family and friends.

We found Lodge 1 was easily accessable,very comfortable, clean, well kept and equipped, plentiful for a short break.

We found it to be peaceful and tranquil, lovely to see an array of wildlife first thing in a morning.It was cold during our stay and the underfloor heating was a real comfort.The Lodge is located near to the Gate/exit which was a bonus for us with plenty of room for parking two Cars.The gardens were well kept and all around the neighbouring lodges.Enjoyed using the hot tub at the end of the day. The only comment i have, the screen towards the back of the building, didn't make the Hot tub very private,otherwise this was an ideal location for visiting Lincoln and its surrounding areas. Had an enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this property.

Yes I would like to say that accommodation was lovely with hot tub.

I would prefer a more privacy where the hot tub is as it's quite open to the other hut near by. So when men who were working stayied in that hut they were sitting outside and it was quite open when you come out to go into the hot tub. Being asian and going out in my costume I was uncomfortable with it. Would prefer if you could put a fence or hedging around the back

Lovely lodge, quite a few maintenance issues though.

Leaking outdoor tap onto decking Kitchen tap ran and the pipes rumbled when we flushed the loo. Indoor heating panels broke during the stay so no warmth. Kitchen cupboard door was hanging off Only 1 Rusty frying pan to use, and flimsy plastic cooking utensils. They definitely need some better pots and pans. Very poor for such a large kitchen. Limited cooking accessories Shower head did not hook on Window handles were mostly loose. No champagne or chocolates on arrival. But apart from this, Beds were so lovely clean and soft ! Very clean, we loved sitting watching movies and the hot tub was great. Apart from this we had a nice stay .

Had a great stay.

The cabin was lovely and also very clean. There was an issue with the heating but this was dealt with straight away by Paul, who was brilliant. The hot tub was lovely (one observation would be adding more privacy screens). Have already recommended to friends and family. We would look forward to going again.

Overall a pleasant stay.

The positives were a nice location, quiet and relaxing. The lodge was a great size and had all the basic items you could want for a mini break. The check in process was very easy and we liked the fact there was no reception and you just get the keys yourself. Parking was next to the lodge and space for two cars. On entering the lodge it was bright and spacious, modern and very inviting. Lovely welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was a lovely gesture! There was tea, coffee and milk also provided which was thoughtful. Plenty of space for the two of us, the hot tub was lovely and warm and a welcome thing after a long day of walking, not as private as we had hoped as a little exposed as the lodge is by the entrance to the site, some more fencing would solve that in full. Two bathrooms was a bonus, both with showers so made getting ready a bit quicker and easier not waiting for one person to shower first - the shower heads were not the best so don’t expect a rain shower experience! But certainly the water was hot and did the job! Heated towel rails were a nice touch as was the shampoo/shower gel provided! Some points that were not so positive however were: One of the double door cupboards had loose screw/hinges by the oven, as soon as we opened it, it fell off. Managed to put it back together and we took photos when we checked in. It would have been nice to have been able to email the issues to the property team, but no email just a number to call but with limited mobile signal was difficult to connect, and this couldn’t be reported via the Sykes App either. There is an internet service free in the lodge with WiFI but this was very slow at times which whilst not a dealbreaker did make for watching movies/Netflix in the evening annoying as the films kept constantly buffering (even on low quality setting) which was a little frustrating. The same applies to Amazon Prime and any on demand service. WiFI was very slow when trying to use internet and email as well. At one point it just stopped working despite rebooting the router. Mobile signal hit and miss, so just be aware it’s a poor signal area I think in general. The housekeepers could do with cleaning under the sofas, there was loads of dust and hair on the floor, the same on the rug - your socks were covered within seconds of walking on it which with a decent hoover shouldn’t be the case! I fully appreciate this lodge is pet friendly and we took our 2 year old cockerspaniel with us but a little more attention to this cleaning could easily be achieved. There were a lot of marks on the white walls, scrapes and marks which again just need a tidy up, the same with cobwebs on the higher glass windows. Just this little attention to detail and it could be a 5* product! It didn’t detract from our enjoyment but is just feedback. Kitchen storage space is limited for food as there is one big cupboard that is useless due to being built under a beam so it can’t open - again not a major issue but meant that you couldn’t use the biggest cupboard for food storage. Cutlery was an issue, 3 forks and 4 knives/spoons was annoying, perhaps another set could be supplied? The main bedroom mattress was very firm, I know this is personal preference but it did hamper a good nights sleep. There is the room also to provide a king size bed rather than a double. In this day and age most people have king size beds now, but again personal preference. Linen was comfy, fresh and clean. Towels a little on the small side so if you love a bath sheet then I suggest you take your own with you! Overall it was a nice break for 4 days, we would most likely go back again in the not to distant future.

We loved our stay here, the site was very peaceful, hot tub amazing and the lodge was lovely and clean.

A few minor areas needed tlc though as a couple of kitchen doors were loose and nearly fell off until we tightened them up, the fridge door wouldn't open fully as just needed relevelling, the blind over the kitchen sink was broken and one bedroom door handle was very loose but these things didn't affect our enjoyment of the stay and are also very easy to fix. We'd definitely recommend and would absolutely come back again.

We booked this for newyears and it was just the perfect relaxing and peaceful getaway we needed.

The lodge was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Shops were close by it was the perfect location

The property looked beautiful and was very clean and warm.

There were plenty of towels., cutlery and crockery. The lodge was in need of some maintenance - small job which would have made a big difference such an the kitchen a leaking tap and the tap itself had a bit missing making it difficult to tighten. The kitchen lighting had bulbs out, including the extractor fan. As we went in autumn and these were the only lights over the kitchen area, it made cooking tricky as the lights available were dim. One cupboard can't be used as it has been fitted under a beam and opens upwards, so it looks great but is useless, which left very little storage space. The utility was really useful but I made the mistake of storing bulky bread items in there and the heat from the oven on the back of the wall meant everything went hard! Frustratingly when we arrived the toilet roll left in the bathroom was almost empty - about 10 sheets lefts, and the spare was only half full, so the first job was a trip to the shop to buy some! The site itself was small and quiet, although something really needs to be done about the area around the only bins, we had to plough through thick mud just to dispose of our black bin bag and unfortunately there was more than one occasion of someone completely slipping over! So I would advise anyone going this time of year to pack wellies and a couple of spare outfits if you intend on having any rubbish! The furniture looks lovely but it is all value products (likely ikea) which can be come uncomfortable after a while, but there were plenty of cushions throws etc. The cottage is dog friendly but there is no hoover, so by the end of our stay there was a lot of hair on the rug etc that we had no way of cleaning. The hot tub was lovely - if there was any maintenance during our stay they must have been very quiet and discreet as we didn't hear them once! We did really enjoy our stay, and given the price we paid we weren't bothered about the issues listed above, but just wanted to note them for future improvements!

Our stay was great.

The lodge was comfortable and welcoming. Our only issue was we couldn't find an hoover to clean the settees of dog hair.

Everything was available at the property that you could wish for.

The welcome pack was a nice touch. We had a couple of issues with the heating system whilst we were there, but they were very quickly rectified - thank you to all who helped.

Great lodge but not cleaned basic maintenance not complete hoover broken and blocked lights not working oven door glass sliding out the oven overall its a great place but would expect a better level of cleanness and maintenance we had to fox the hoover and clean all the dog hairs of all the soft furnishings on the first day

We had an excellent holiday.

Everything we needed in the beautiful clean and well equipped lodge. The only thing that would have made it better for us would be if the back decking was made more private. There was no one staying in the nearby lodges but if there had been there would have been no privacy when using the lovely hot tub. Apart from that another brilliant Sykes holiday, thank you

Fantastic end of summer stay with two pooches and a teen .

Lodge and grounds were spotless. Lovely quiet location , not disturbed during our stay. Lodge had everything we could need for cooking , towels and even a few games and was even left a lovely welcome gift

Very happy with our stay, very clean and spacious, catered for all our needs even down to games.

It's a great base to stay. Shops, restaurants, take aways all within 5 min drive which was brilliant. Super comfy beds and no noise from neighbours. It was PERFECT, I would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone and will be coming back in the future. Thank you to the owners, 10 out of 10.

The place was good and the lodge was fine; however communication can be really improved by keeping the customers informed if planned maintenance, as we booked the lodge for a restful holiday and we were disturbed by gardening maintenance team cutting hedges during post-nesting season, when this maintenance should be carried out during off peak season.

Still waiting for a suitable response to my emails other thank offering £25 voucher on next booking! Not great response to the raised query!

OUTSTANDING!

! We just got back from a week here with 2 pre-teens and our family dog. The lodge was just beautiful, the park itself was maintained to a very high standard, fishing was so much fun my partner almost lived there for the full week! Hot tub was a brilliant bonus. We will 100% be back!
