Lodge 2

We have stayed at Lodge 2 before and once again it did not disappoint.

The accommodation is excellent with all the facilities you would expect including a washing machine, useful for washing the towels and swimwear after a dip in the hot tub. The beds are very comfortable as are the sofas in the living area. There are plenty of open spaces around the lodge, ideal for dog walking and a local footpath leads to longer/extended walks. The local food delivery company know where the lodge is and are happy to deliver food too. Overall an excellent place to stay and I would definitely recommend Lodge 2 as a place to stay

We had an amazing stay , the Lodge had everything and more , with beautiful surroundings too , we will definitely go back again .

This was our second visit to the Thorpe Park site and we loved it again.

Lodge 2 was clean and spacious. We’ve had such a lovely time again. It’s so calm and peaceful we didn’t want to leave! I’d say the only downside for us is that we wish the beds were slightly bigger but that’s only because we have a bigger bed at home that we’re used to so comfort wise it did feel a bit small (not the lodges fault at all) We are a family of 4 and we bought my parents along this time and they fell in love with the place too. We can’t wait to book again :-)

Had a lovely and relaxing stay at this Lodge.

The location is excellent and access to Lincoln itself is very easy. There are nice walks from the Lodge area to Thorpe on the Hill and Whisby Visitor Centre. The Lodge benefits from a washing machine, however it could do with a clean as it did have a 'fusty' smell and may benefit from a washing machine cleaner on a regular basis. The kitchen is well stocked and towels are available, however they are only regular size, so if you are a larger person, maybe think of taking extra for your own needs. The hot tub is a massive bonus to the lodge and we used it everyday, even when it was raining! The grounds are very well kept and the hot tub checked daily. Overall an excellent stay, thoroughly recommended and we will come again.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Lodge 2 for our weekend break.

Lovely rural setting, but still minutes away from other amenities. The lodge and hot tub was clean, and so was the site itself. The WiFi is a bit hit and miss at times, but that didn't bother us. We would have definitely returned but the price has gone up significantly so unfortunately we aren't able to.

A lovely, well equipped lodge in an idyllic setting.

Very clean and well maintained. It was quite cold when we arrived on the Friday, but this was resolved promptly, although we were not told about the switch for the heated towel rails. These were needed as we used the hot tub and needed them to dry our towels and swimwear, because there are no radiators. 2 negatives, a dishwasher would have been far more useful than a washing machine, as we didn't use it, but did a lot of washing up. Also the fridge is far too small for 6 people and the ice box tiny. Despite this we had a great weekend

On arrival the lodge was immaculate but with further inspection it was very dusty if anything was dropped on the floor it ended up covered in dust especially under the beds and sofa.

Further into the week I started to find long black hairs on the bedding and floor (I have blonde hair). The hot tub did not have any cleaning during our stay i am not sure if this is the norm as other places I have stayed with a hot tub it gets chemicals added and cleaned daily. Other than that everything else was very clean tidy and it was a lovely quiet place to stay. We have a teenager toddler and a 7 week old baby so was worrying about leaving the lodge on time we didn’t feel rushed to do so by the cleaning staff as they started at the other end. All in all I would recommend

Lodge was lovely very clean and a lovely gesture with the prosecco.

The WiFi did struggle at times when trying to watch the TV. We had a great stay and would definitely come back.

Better toilet seats as the ones there flimsy and popped off had to put them back on.

If we had done any washing we didn't find a horse to put wet clothes on so saved dirty washing to take home. Overall enjoyed stay.

Lovely stay, maybe look at lodge nearer lake next time.

The Lodge was extremely well equipped and clean.

The hot tub was a lovely addition. A brilliant base for a short family holiday which I would return to. The only improvement would be the mattress in the second bedroom it was the most uncomfortable sleep I have ever had- had to sleep on the sofa the second night. It looked lovely but felt like I was sleeping on just the springs! It would mean that I would not rebook as I would not be able to sleep which is a real shame. It would also be beneficial to have a guide on how to adjust the heating the rooms were 35 degrees when we arrived! Overall though a lovely lodge in a nice peaceful area close to Lincoln.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lodge 2, it was fully equipped with everything we could need and was great that there was enough seating and space for all 6 of us to enjoy a comfortable stay.

The hot tub was brilliant and although it's in an open space the positioning means you still feel like you have privacy and are not over looked. Couldn't fault any of the facilities, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

What a lovely facility ideally located for local amenities, within 20 minutes walk of a local nature reserve with a seamless entry process.

We found the lodge to be immaculate, so too was the hot tub, comfortable, cozy, just a lovely experience.

Peaceful with hot tub to end the nights in moonlight. Beautiful surroundings for walking and short drive to local pubs.

We have a baby that is crawling and it’s so reassuring to have somewhere clean. We are already looking at booking again for next year. Thank you so much to the owners for such a good quality lodge for our weekend away.
