A perfect holiday getaway, especially if you like fishing, a lovely secluded chalet with everything you need, spotlessly clean and comfortable.

A very well looked after site. Just one small thing, really need a couple of fans for the hot weather. This was our 3rd time at the green monkey and we have booked for another stay there later in the year. It's so quiet and peaceful, love the place.

Our first stay at The Green Monkey.

It was spotlessly clean, well presented and exactly as described in the listing. The beds were comfortable as was the sofa. The kitchen was well equipped and the welcome pack of milk, Prosecco and biscuits, along with a stock of tea and coffee was a lovely touch. A very useful booklet showing local places of interest as well as supermarkets, restaurants, take aways etc was most helpful.

Lovely property in a good location.

Quiet site for a relaxing break. Green Monkey is a property we would certainly visit again. Sadly the service from Sykes, apart from the initial booking process was nothing short of abysmal. Completely unable to contact Customer service via phone, web chats went unanswered for 24 hours. Very poor customer service and won’t be using them again.

This accommodation is an absolutely gem I would be proud to own it.

Set in the grounds of Thorpe park, it is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and if you’re into fishing, well you certainly won’t be disappointed. I have to mention the family owners Sam Darren and Ben who were so kind and understanding when my dog trigger was let’s say under the weather. I will definitely be coming back to this property hopefully this year.thank you Sam and Darren for your kindness and making feel so welcome.

The Green Monkey is a very comfortable and well equipped Lodge.

In a lovely peaceful secure setting and dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay and meeting the owner and his family. They were supportive and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. We look forward to an early return.

A beautiful lodge very well equipped with comfy beds and everything you need.

Very clean and lovely views over the lake. Hot tub is lovely and plenty to do in the area would definitely come back.

The images you see are exactly what you get.

A well presented warm and amply provisioned lodge. I spent each morning watching the sunrise and listening to the birds, watching fish leaping out of the lake and a heron fishing. Comfortable beds and everything you need for a comfortable week away. A quiet and peaceful escape. Ben messaged me to check all was well and offered to come and help if needed (I didn’t need anything more) The hot tub was lovely, the weather managed to stop raining long enough for me to use it! There’s lots of towels and clean bedding and comforting pillows. I’d revisit in a heartbeat!

Had an amazing stay at the green monkey, absolutely stunning location and the lodge itself is perfect.

Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful and serene location for a getaway. Will hopefully return soon!

A welcome break from everyday stress.

The Green Monkey has everything needed for a restful break. Peace & tranquility in a beautiful setting. I would highly recommend Thorpe Park Lodges for a lovely get away. The green monkey is beautiful and very comfy with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, large living space/kitchen/diner & a great view from the decking.

I can't recommend the Green Monkey enough!

!! Very well equipped lodge in a tranquil setting.Such a peaceful place to stay. We didn't venture too far away but enjoyed some lovely walks with our dog ,Buddy at the nearby Whisby Nature Reserve and Hartsholme Country Park.We also made use of our National Trust membership at the Belton Estate, a 30 minute drive away.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking into booking for spring next year .

A beautiful calm and peaceful location, with a well maintained property.

Easily accessible from major road networks. The property was as described in the listing, the addition of some throws/ blankets would have been a welcome addition. The kitchen could have been cleaner on arrival, as crumbs etc were evident in the cupboards. It was well equipped though could have done with a couple of casserole dishes and a colander. The property itself was very comfortable with good quality bed linen and towels and had the bonus of separate towels for the hot tub, which was checked at least twice during the week of our stay. The welcome gifts of biscuits and bubbly were a lovely touch. The smart tv was also a bonus. The mop being stored in a bedroom wardrobe was less than ideal as it smelt and left that side of the wardrobe unusable. We wanted a peaceful and relaxing break and the Green Monkey property provided exactly that.

Stunning lodge!

Well thought of in regards of all amenities (bubbly and biscuits were an added bonus.....thankyou Ben). To sit outside with a cold drink on an evening watching the sun set over the lake was magical. The ducks waddling over for a few crumbs and the fish jumping, yes jumping, out of the lake was an experience I will never forget. The quietness and solitude was what we needed after our hectic,busy, working week and we definatly got it at the Green monkey. . Would I go again? In a heart beat!!! Thankyou once again Ben for allowing us to stay in your beautiful lodge x

This was the best lodge we have ever stayed in beautiful location and peaceful just what we all needed kids loved it didn't want to leave .

Wow, we can’t rate the lodge highly enough it certainly exceeded our expectations.

Everything was spotless, including the hot tub, towels and bedding top quality and so clean. Lovely location, felt secure, quiet and private. The added bonus of fishing a few yards from the patio was bliss, helping to make this birthday trip a very relaxing one which is just what we needed. Will definitely be back and will highly recommend to family and friends.

The lodge was so well presented and had good facilities such as the hot tub. The location was also perfect and close to so many tourist attractions. We will definitely rebook next year

Decking should be checked and made good before each stay.

There were cigarette butts near hot tub and at front of property. Exterior light fittings had some cobwebs.

We absolutely loved the green monkey and are already looking to book next year Lodge was absolutely amazing and Ben was really friendly and was there if we needed anything.

Absolutely loved this property and it was so relaxing we only moved to the local pub and back again.

The fishing spot was excellent and my husband caught lots. Loved the hot tub and all the outdoor space. Ben was so welcoming and provided a welcome gift and it lovely to get all the extras in the kitchen such as dish washer tablets. I loved watching all the nature such as the heron that I named Hugo. Thankyou for our chilled out relaxing week.

Stunning lodge.

. very well decorated, very modern, extremely comfy beds. Perfect for a quiet break away with stunning view of pond, great for people who like to fish or just want a chilled break away. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back

Cracking property with everything you could possibly need.

Really nice setting and very quiet, secluded and relaxing. Supermarkets and pubs just down the road with a Greggs and McDonald’s close by. (If you like that sort of thing) Dog walks on the door step and if you are fishing persons then it’s ideal. Lincoln is a 20 minute drive away. Couldn’t fault it, would certainly recommend it and stay again.

This was our first ever time staying in a lodge and we did not know what to expect.

We looked at the reviews and photos before our stay and thought we would try it. We were not disappointed. The lodge was stunning. Very warm, comfortable, clean and modern. The location was brilliant with shops and takeaways close by. The fishing lake was well stocked with lots of fish, so if you like fishing you're sure to catch here! Unfortunately we couldn't take our rods due to no room in the car, so a spare rod for the kids at the property would have been a great, but we enjoyed feeding the fish and the ducks all the same! Ben who owns the lodge has thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay. All the mod cons and smart TV. Ben's mum Sam was in her lodge next door and she was so friendly and helpful. Even let me use her jug when I said we needed a jug for our cooking. Sam soon got on her phone to inform Ben that he needs to supply a jug for the lodge and we also suggested a pedal bin for the bathroom. We stayed here as a 4. Two adults and 2 teenage girls. 1 of my daughters is autistic and she loved it here. She's hyper sensitive to touch and lights and the materials and lighting didn't trigger her at all because it was so thoughtfully designed and decorated. My other daughter has a heart condition and she needs a calm environment and this was just ideal. The lodge is so calming and peaceful. No screaming children running around! Our German Shepherd Harley found a new friend in Sam! Everyday Sam left treats for her to find at the back of the lodge. It's gated off and secluded and the back so Harley was allowed off lead there to roam and play. The hot tub was secluded at the back which we liked. It was well maintained and a fab temperature..its perfect in the evening when the hot tub is lit up and you're relaxing underneath the stars! If you're looking for a lodge break I truly recommend The Green Monkey. I don't often leave reviews but felt this was well deserved because we were so impressed with this gem of a find. A perfect retreat for a couple or family. I'm already thinking about booking here again. It was truly magical with special memories made on our Easter family break.
