The first lodge was a bit tired and worn but comfortable, and we were happy with it.
Unfortunately, the hot tub was not hot on arrival. We expected it to be ready by 9pm, but it turned itself off before reaching a suitable temperature. We reset it and expected it to be hot the next morning, but it was still only lukewarm. We reported this and were moved to another lodge in the afternoon, where the hot tub was excellent.

That night, we went to bed and two of our party found that the slats on the single beds gave way. On investigation, we found that the plastic parts that hold the slats were missing, and they were just resting on the ledge under the beds. On one bed, you could see they had previously been screwed to the wood, and another had blocks of wood underneath, so it appeared this had happened before.
We reported it the next morning but received no response, so we reported it again in the evening. Two of our party left early, as one had slept on the settee the night before and was very upset, thinking it was due to her weight. However, when my daughter said her bed had also collapsed, it was clear that the beds were at fault. My granddaughter is under 7 stone, and some of the slats on her bed were in the same condition.
