Description

This endearing Swedish-style cabin is set within the majestic Radnorshire Hills and can be found resting close to the wonderful English/Welsh border.

Pines Pitch is a wonderful retreat for bringing family and friends together to an area steeped in natural beauty and a vast array of outdoor opportunities.

The interior of the cottage enjoys an idyllic charm and houses everything you could possibly need for a week-long stay, including a woodburning stove and a hot tub for extra indulgence.

Be welcomed into a spacious kitchen/diner, where the designated chef of the group will be delighted to find a traditional AGA taking centre stage before all the other appliances required to rustle up an evening meal, including an additional oven and hob, a large fridge/freezer and a dishwasher.

Settle down around the dining table to tuck into your home-cooked meal and to plan the days ahead with your loved ones, while the electric fire gently fills the room with warmth.

After diner, sink into the sofa to catch up on your favourite TV programmes with the roaring woodburning fire to keep you warm.

As the evening draws to a close, drift off to sleep within one of the well-presented bedrooms, comprising a ground-floor double bedroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.

On the first floor you will also find a small space with a cot for any younger guests or a space for delving into a book.

To the outside of the property, you and your loved ones can gather for a spot of alfresco dining before dipping into the bubbling hot tub to take in the surrounding views further.

Here, the younger guests will be delighted by the outdoor play area and your canine companions can roam around the spacious lawn to stretch their legs before heading out for the day.

To keep you busy whilst staying here, venture out to the nearby town of Knighton, where you can spend an afternoon exploring the streets lined with eateries and shops, or visit the Knighton Golf Club.

For those feeling active, walks can be enjoyed upon the Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke and cyclists will be delighted to find Radnor Ring Cycling Route close by.

Pines Pitch is a splendid retreat for a group of family and friends to explore this part of the English/Welsh border.

The location and property is perfect for a relaxing break.

We had a lovely stay and could easily have stayed longer than the week we booked. The plot was perfect for our dogs, plenty of space and the grounds were secure. Plenty of great walks in close proximity as well. We had a small electrical issue during our stay. This was reported at 11am and by 4pm the owner had an electrician out and the problem was resolved. Excellent service. The only negatives are very minor. The table mats needed to be cleaned before we could use them and a couple of the plates were dirty and a new shower head in the upstairs bathroom would be a bonus. Like I say, very minor and certainly didn't dampen our very enjoyable, relaxing stay. We would definitely go back and would highly recommend.

Very peaceful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and being able to switch off for a couple of days.

I loved staying at Pines Pitch!

Once I was able to find where it is based, it was incredibly comfortable and such a relaxing place to stay! I stayed for a Woodwind Repair Course, run locally, but being able to come back and chill in the hot tub was an absolute pleasure! 2 small points which I think would improve it even further: 1. Turning on the 2 switches for the water flow and hot water - this was a little confusing in the first couple of days and because the journey is long to get to mid wales, I would recommend writing a welcome note with this very clearly included. Hot showers are important for a good stay! 2. Signage on the way to Pines Pitch - if you could get an old fashioned sign into ground at the turning and further signs down the farmyard path to help guide people, I think this would be super useful due to the lack of signal in the area. Small things but an overall wonderful stay. Thank you so much!
