Once again everything really well for the whole family. A well equipped beautifully warm remote haven. Really looking foward to the next time that we visit.

One of the best properties I've stayed at.

Location was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful. Biggest drawback for me was the lack of footpaths available from the doorstep. That definitely would not stop me rebooking. Very relaxed week.

Valley View Lodge is a delightful place to relax and enjoy the peaceful countryside.

Set atop a hill with lovely views across the rolling landscape below. The building itself is cosy yet with a spacious living area. All essentials are provided and there is even a separate summer house at the top of the garden. We had a great few days exploring the area, walking up to Rodney's Pillar (amazing views & well worth the climb) also a wonderful steamtrain ride from Welshpool. The Raven Inn, Welshpool, is a great choice for a tasty meal. Overall, with friendly and helpful hosts nearby if required, a holiday here is definitely recommended.

Lovely views. No footpaths from the Lodge. Settees difficult to use for elderly guests. We used garden chairs. Owners tremendously helpful. Even helped us unload.

A lovely relaxing time at lodge again.

Owners always at hand and helpful if anything is needed. We come twice a year and have done for the past 4 years and always have a lovely stay.

Christmas 2024 was my second stay at Valley View Lodge.

A pleasant, comfortable and spacious property which is within easy reach of the facilities in Welshpool. Thanks to Dave for his help, the perfect host.

We spent 4ngts over new year 2025 its a lovely lodge perfect for a couples to escape too .

. Or a family base to explore as found it central to everything . . Large and spacious , immaculate , won't hesitate to recommend . . The lodge is really high up in the hills with lovely views of ever changing landscapes . . Met hosts Cheryl and Dave who were really nice and im sure if you needed them they would be straight on it . . Quite windy and some rain for two days but that was fine

We absolutely love staying here, the views are amazing, it's so peaceful and relaxing, we have now spent 4wks here since July 2023, and have already rebooked for 2025 and 2026, The owners Cheryl and Dave are really nice and not far away if you should need them, can't recommend this lodge enough

Really comfy, clean and cosy lodge.

The location was perfect for us, wonderful views and easy to get to various areas of interest. Appreciated the swing seat, relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

A wonderful break, with everything you need included in the cabin.

The owners were very helpful and on hand if needed. Set in a secluded location of natural beauty with a wonderful valley view. Would highly recommend !

A wonderful cabin in beautiful surroundings.

The cabin was homely and cozy with stunning views and sheep for neighbours. It was clean, well equipped for basic cooking, very peaceful and the outdoor swing seat was where we spent most of our time when we wasn’t exploring. The owner was lovely and very accommodating and when I mentioned the bed in the main bedroom was a bit lumpy and bumpy on leaving he messaged to say he had ordered a new one. We would definitely stay here again and hope to return soon.

Great lodge in lovely quiet location with breathtaking views.

Zip link bed would benefit from a mattress topper as you can feel every spring and sofas don’t offer any back support so I sat on a dining chair all evening but otherwise it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we would definitely recommend it.

Our first time at valley view lodge, what a fantastic experience we had, we spent 4 nights here and enjoyed every minute, our son absolutely loved the freedom he got and also seeing the animals right by us, the privacy was 10/10, the owners were also there for whenever we needed anything, highly recommend this lodge, we will definitely be going back there very soon, thank you so much

We absolutely love it here, stayed last year, rebootked it for a 50th birthday this year, and we've booked again for later this year again already, it's so peaceful and, the views are amazing,, The owners are really nice, and just down the road if we needed anything not that we did though as everything was perfect can't wait to return, thanks for a great stay

This is a wonderful lodge that is clean and tidy, set in a great location, with breath taking scenery.

Fully equipped with every thing that is needed for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. A big shout out to the hosts who made sure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. We will definitely be booking again.

Lovely cosy lodge in a beautiful area.

Well appointed, but we did donate a small non-stick frying pan and spatula! We also thought a small drinks table to use when sitting on the large settee would have been useful. Everything else was great; comfy beds and modern bathrooms. Lovely garden and a summer house which regrettably we couldn’t take advantage of in January. But the views are stupendous!

The property owners are very friendly and helpful making it clear that if we needed anything just let them know.

The property itself was perfect, in an ideal peaceful location. The photos don't do it any justice it is perfect inside and outside including the gardens and views. We will definitely be staying there again.

Very nice place to stay

We absolutely loved this lodge, the owner met us there and explained things to us and where she was if we needed her, she was nice and polite, it was really peaceful, the views are amazing, we loved it that much we are hoping to return next year to celebrate a 50th birthday, couldn't think of a more relaxing place to go.

The kitchen is well equipped, yet still had plenty of cupboard space for our food, quite often in holiday cottages all the cupboards are full of things there's no room left for food, There's also loads of plug sockets in.the living area which is quite unusual, the beds are very comfortable, the only thing I could think of to change would be to have an electric shower over the bath in the family bathroom, but we just all used the one in the en suite so that wasn't a problem, Thanks for a great holiday hopefully be back next year

Immaculate and well-equipped log cabin set among beech trees with lovely far-reaching rural views.

Many thanks to Cheryl and Dave for their friendly and attentive welcome. They live half a mile away. Our pastime is walking and Offa's Dyke Path, the Montgomery Canal and rolling green hills fully lived up to our expectations. A very comfortable base to which we will return!

The cabin from the outside looks rustic but!

! step inside and you are greeted with a warm and welcoming ambience, it has all the amenities required to meet one’s needs. Waking up in the mornings and having breakfast looking at a view to die for, and watching Red Kites flying in the valley, was an absolute joy. A fantastic way to start a day!!. Our stay at Valley View was very relaxing, the Owners Dave and Cheryl were more than helpful in making sure our needs were met. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderfully peaceful setting.

Based on a quiet farm in the middle of nowhere but on 15 minutes away from town. Owners are very accommodating. We would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break.

Only downside was the mattress, it was hard and uncomfortable.

What a great find!

Valley View lodge or "Dave's place" as one local farmer called it, is easy to get to yet very secluded and peaceful. It is maintained as if it were Dave & Cheryl's own home and was spotless on arrival and is well equipped. Dave was very welcoming and considerate to our own needs. Thank you! The views are as good as others have mentioned, perfect to feed the photographer and artist alike. Watching the red kites and buzzards was a joy. We have added this to our top ten places to stay.

This is a lovely place to stay.

Had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and very helpful. He seemed to really care about making sure that people enjoyed their stay. It's in beautiful surroundings with main town of Welshpool not too far away. Lots of safe space outside for our little boy to run around. We all loved our stay and will likely book again in the future, hopefully when the sun is out!

Very clean and everything provided, apart from the TV which was a nightmare to operate. Fortunately we'd brought some DVDs which worked OK.

Valley View Lodge is in a superb, quiet location and has everything you could need. Cheryl and Dave are super-helpful and keep the lodge very clean. I have racked my brains but I honestly can't think of ANY way in which it could be improved.

It was beautifully located and was serene and peaceful.

We needed a break and it certainly proved to be that. The owners were fantastic and genuinely lovely too. Had everything we could possibly want and it has this lovely feel about the place too. A home away from home. We’ll definitely be back again.

When we reached the lodge it looked absolutely beautiful!

My kids loved that there was live stock next to the lodge. Mr Morris is so lovely and a bottle of Prosecco was left for us to enjoy as we had booked for Valentine’s Day. Such a lovely and welcoming gesture, we enjoyed the Prosecco! There was so much space all round my kids loved the space and gave the room to run around. It felt very safe. The views were totally amazing especially when the sun shined. If you need to de stress this would definitely be the place for you. The property itself was comfortable and cozy with a wood burner. It was clean neat and tidy. Everything you needed to use was in the cupboards. We loved it, my kids loved and what’s more the owner was lovely which made it a great experience. I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

The owners are very welcoming and nothig is too much trouble.

The cottage was absolutely brilliant.

The wood burning stove was very romantic. The cottage is located amongst farmers fields, the views were fantastic over the hills and valleys. The quiet surroundings was so peaceful, ideal for a nights sleep. The cottage was perfectly equipped and functiona. Welshpool was close by and convenient for supplies

The hosts were laid back, friendly and non-intrusive. Would love to stay there again.

Lovely, comfortable, clean, well equipped lodge, we did not have an issue with the cat as we ignored it and it stopped coming back.

However this might he an issue in the warmer weather if you want to leave windows open. Water pressure on the ensuite shower was minimal but not a massive issue, it just took a little longer to shower.

We could not open a window as a cat from the farm(?

) kept coming into the cabin.

Enjoyed a quiet relaxing week in this lovely comfortable lodge in beautiful countryside.

Perfect for getting away from it all and with bags of home comforts! Hosts were extremely friendly and lived nearby but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. Would highly recommend staying here if you are looking for peace and quiet. Plenty of space, no neighbours apart from the fields of sheep, watch out for the pheasants loose on the mountain lanes!

Dave and Cheryl are a lovely couple who were there to help whenever necessary. I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage, especially if you like road biking, mountain biking or hiking!
