Booking this lodge was the best decision we made for our family off 4.

The view from the lodge was amazing. jacuzzi with a view the lodge its self is beautiful inside very clean everything we need for a week away from our busy life’s. Town centre is near by. Definitely will be returning to this lodge and recommend to my family and friends. Thank you soo much Sonia & Dave

Wow!

When we pulled up to the lodge, our first impression was how amazing it looked. Stepping out of the car and seeing the stunning view, we knew straight away it was going to be a relaxing break. We met Dave, the owner, who was lovely and very informative, giving us plenty of recommendations for local shops, pubs, and places to visit. The lodge itself is beautiful—tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and hassle-free. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the lodge felt wonderfully spacious. What really made the whole break for us was the lovely warm hot tub. Sitting in it, taking in the breathtaking views and the stars at night, was truly unforgettable. It was an absolutely amazing place, and we loved every minute of our stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience—we can't wait to return!

This lovely clean and comfortable Lodge is set in a beautiful valley with outstanding views.

From the moment we arrive the peace of the place embraces us and starts the process of the week’s rest & refreshment. This was our 5th visit and we’ve booked again next year. Highly recommended!

Our second visit, but first time trying this particular lodge out.

We've really made the lodges are special places and it'll be a place we come back to time and time again. We have such busy lives and we find the lodges so easy to relax in, to reset and have some quality family time. Owners are so friendly and accommodating, not js too much for them. We made good use of the hot tub. Great cooking facilities, we ate in every night. Beautiful walks around Powys castle. Kids loved going to see the farm animals. It was lovely having the woodburning stove. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't have asked for more. We will be back. Thanks for a great stay. You deserved the 5 stars and more.

The Lodge we stayed in was fantastic and we had a great time.

Dave the owner was very good and I woiuld recommend the lodge to anyone. However, your booking process was the opposite and the customer care assistance was very poor. Hence, I would not recommend Sykes to anyone and will use others in future.

Such a fantastic lodge, set in the most amazing scenery.

We absolutely loved every part of staying here. Such a warm welcome from the owners and the lodge was spotlessly clean with everything that you could possibly need. Very quiet and although there is another lodge next door it was very private. Beautiful sitting in the hot tub at night stargazing above the valley. Cannot recommend enough!

The lodge was absolutely beautiful so clean and comfortable every think you could wont , sitting on the patio even in the rain could not spoil it the views are amazing and its so peaceful just what we needed , we would definitely go back hopefully for longer next time, and the owners are so friendly and helpful thank you for letting us enjoy your lodge so much.

Just finished a 5 night stay at Meadow view and we wasn't disappointed.

The lodge is lovely, as the photos show, and had all the amenities necessary including a bottle of Prosecco on arrival, which was a nice touch. The views are beautiful even moreso while enjoying the hot tub, which had speakers built in which was fantastic. Sonia and Dave were great hosts and lovely people. We couldn't recommend more. We had such an amazing stay here!

The pictures are exactly what you’re getting. It’s beautiful, peaceful and situated perfectly. We stayed from Monday to Friday! Luckily we got some good weather, however our one day of rain bought loads of tiny frogs hopping around the cabin which was so fantastic to see. We spent hours watching them! WiFi was brilliant, show and bath were powerful and the place felt like a tiny home. It was truly great! My only downside would be the check in and out times, and thats purely selfish and I just wanted more time there! Thanks for a great stay! We would 100% book again

From start to finish this was a first class holiday experience.

The communication & directions were superb, the lodge was spotless and kitted out to a very high standard. The setting is divine. A great place for a much needed rest for the family.

Meadow view is an outstanding lodge.

It was modern and immaculate inside and out with stunning idyllic views. There was everything you could need available and the hot tub was fabulous to take in the views in style. The owners are amazing and very friendly allowing us to see all the animals. Our daughter visited the lambs and cows every day which she loved as it was lambing season. I would 100% recommend Meiford holiday lodges, and will definitely be visiting again. Thanks again.

We recently stayed at this cabin and had a brilliant experience from start to finish!

The cottage was, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The features like fireplace, garden and hot tud made our stay extra special. My girls loves the chocolates and we enjoyed the Welsh cakes. Everything we needed was provided, and it felt like a true home away from home. We can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely return in the future. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect choice!

Second time staying in meadow view, unfortunately this time we were disappointed by our stay.

Firstly we did not have any Christmas decorations and noticed next door property did. Secondly we had a power cut and left with no power 5am-20.30pm, we had to go to the owners to get the torch and candle. We also lost food we bought the day before as fridge went warm and had to go out all day resulting in spending money we did not plan to. Overall these two things made our stay disappointing and financially impacted us.

We had the most amazing stay.

The property is stunning and the owners even though they are extremely busy with the farm and other commitments , they could not have been more helpful and friendly. We are already going back to the exact same property in a few months. It was so clean and every thing was thought about and put into place. Easily the best place we have stayed in.

The owners were so accommodating, giving us surprise birthday decorations on request, with beautiful flowers and a personal message on a card! The property exceeded our expectations! Amazing location, super clean and super helpful owners, that made sure we were 100% comfortable and happy. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I will be sure to come back again! Great location, nice lodge but was disappointed with inaccurate description.

The lodge was booked for a chilled tub weekend. On finding no robes to use with the hot tub we enquired as to where they were. The response was they did not provide them due to previous guests stealing them. On looking through the booklet provided with the lodge the details contradicted what we had been advised clearly stating robes was provided. Resorting to using towels to keep one’s dignity took the shine off what is a lovely place.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay.

Our hosts Dave and Sonia were very helpful and have both worked extremely hard to provide the most outstanding lodge. We would highly recommend this lovely place. We will certainly visit again.

I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our stay!

The owners are just THE nicest people on earth! Nothing is too much trouble. They were really kind and helpful when we had car troubles. The property is beautiful, furnished to a high standard and very clean. There’s even built in Bluetooth speakers. The flies did not bother us! It’s a farm, you expect insects. The view was amazing and we did a lovely walk up the hill to overlook the holiday house. Everything is thought that of inside, with children’s cutlery and plates, a games/book chest, basic cleaning products and everything a kitchen needs including salt and pepper. A lovely added touch is the chocolate buttons left on the bed for the kids and Welsh cakes for us. 100% recommend this property for a tranquil, comfortable stay! The king size bed was like sleeping on clouds! Soooo comfortable! I really hope we get to visit again soon and will be recommending it to friends and family.

The lodge was lovely, everything we expected.

The hot tub was great to relax in day or night. This was kept very clean by Dave throughout our stay. The view was amazing, the valley, the forest on the hillside, the pool. Yes you could sit and do nothing all all day just looking at the scenic view. Watching the swallows feeding at the pool. Watching the dragonflies hunting. Spotting the buzzards circling high above the valley. But the flies in the lodge were an issue. The owner had placed a bug zapper in the lodge, and after reading some comments we took one too. But still the flies kept coming we even tried keeping the doors closed but still the flies came. They stopped us from enjoying cooking, they stopped us enjoying eating in the lodge. They even woke us up at night. It's such a shame because this place is bit of paradise. Maybe the lodge needs to be fumigated as the flies could be coming from the roof void. There were very few flies outside. In fact fewer flies outside than inside. Also the water in the lodge was from a borehole and was discoloured, you could also smell the water. We didn't mention either of the issues to Dave and Sonia as they were actually aware of the issues on arrival.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay.

Views wonderful. Lodge perfect. Hosts perfect. The only criticism I would say was that there were flies so bring fly spray! It is a working farm so this was not unexpected. Am booking again for next year.

The property and area is even more beautiful than the pictures!

The lodge has everything you can think of! We cooked everyday and the kitchen, again, had everything we needed. Dave was very welcoming and helpful. The area has so much to do but we ended up mostly staying in the lodge because it was so quiet and relaxing. We could not recommend enough.

Our third visit to this wonderful property in such a beautiful location.

The property was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed.

Hooks on the back of all bedrooms and bathrooms and outside for robes or towels. All smart TVs and it was warm and cosy. The bed made my back hurt a bit and the pans could do with an upgrade but there was everything you needed utensil and crockery wise. We did have quite a bit of rain but it didn’t stop us enjoying the relaxing hot tub most days or nights. The view is to die for. It’s worth going just for the tranquil setting. We ate out a few times in Welshpool at an Italian and a lovely pub. The only thing that drove me mad was the flies. We didn’t have the door open or windows and they kept appearing in every room. They were getting in somewhere. I was an expert at getting them by the time we left. It wasn’t a swarm or anything but there was always a few hanging around. It definitely wouldn’t stop me going back. It’s a beautiful lodge and the owners are lovely.

Everything about the place is absolutely beautiful.

Sonia and Dave are great people only seen Dave on arrival but he was good as gold and would respond well to messages and also recommend places if needed. Only thing we found was not very decent was the bed. Had a bad back woke myself every morning. Just think the mattress needs to be deeper. But please don’t take this as a compliment. Honestly we will be going back here. Just what we needed lovely and quiet with stunning views.

A lovely lodge.

Quiet and beautiful view.

David and Sonia could not have been nicer or more helpful.

They have and continue to work hard to provide the perfect holiday rental that does justice to its stunning location. The Lodges have absolutely everything you could need and are really comfortable. We have stayed in a lot of self catering rentals over the years and this is the best we have ever stayed in and we were sad to leave.

! We loved the location and the views across the lodge. The lodge is spacious and clean, everything is provided from kitchenware to towels, just bring your food! The hot tub was great! Such a relaxing location! The host Dave welcomed us on arrival and also saw us off too, he's a lovely chap. We will definitely go back!

David and Sonia were lovely hosts from the off. The cottage was perfect for our family (two adults, two kids) with a beautiful view and peace and quiet. Lots of places to visit and nice walks nearby, and of course the hot tub was a great way to relax in the evenings. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous place spotless everything we needed and very quiet came back twice within weeks

Just what we needed, quiet and peaceful. The photos don’t do justice at all! We stayed for 7 nights with our 2 kids and we absolutely loved it. Dave & Sonia were always there for any help that we needed and they even let us have a close look at their farm. We are already looking forward to our next trip here.

This property was an amazing experience to be in for our stay.

We found this property out of all searches we did for the first time and straightforward booked without hesitation. As we got there during evening David was there to welcome us and guided us inside. In the morning woke up to a beautiful view and calmness. Book this place if you just want to get away from the city noise. It was so peaceful. Would definitely come here some time if I’m alive for a quick getaway and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings. Thank you for looking after us we really are grateful!

The Meiford cottage was simply perfect in every way.

The cottages are finished to a high level, with everything you could possibly think of being available. The location is remote and cosy, with the hot tub a must under the night sky. The owners are helpful, friendly and clearly invested in people having a perfect stay.

Stunning, beautiful, amazing!

Are just a few words to describe the lodge we stayed in. We came for a chilled break away and that’s exactly what we got. So quiet and beautiful surroundings but not far from supermarkets or garden centres, shops if you wanted to do something. As soon as we got here we were amazed by the cleanliness and how beautiful the lodge was. We got there when it was dark and couldn’t wait to see the views the next day, and we definitely was not disappointed. The views were breathtaking and wherever you looked it was all around you with the lovely big windows. The views at night watching all the stars so bright when the sky was clear was just as beautiful as the daytime views. Would love to return and have been recommending to everyone who’ll listen. Perfect holiday, very relaxing, place was spotless and area so quiet.

We had a fantastic holiday, no issues, only slight one was would have preferred slightly bigger bed in main bedroom and didn’t find it too comfy but didn’t not change the holiday. Will definitely be returning

The lodge is absolutely perfect... beautiful scenery, quiet location and finished to the highest standard. We had such a great break away from our fast-paced life back home. We loved the hot tub and staring at the stars at night. Kids loved being on the farm seeing the cows and sheep every day. I would highly recommend. My son has already been asking when we will be going back!

Meadow View is a lovely place to stay in a quiet, off the beaten track valley - ideal for peace and tranquillity.

The hot tub provides the ideal place to sit at night and watch the stars with a glass of wine. The lodge is beautifully furnished and provides everything that you need, including loads of good quality utensils, decent sized saucepans and sharp knives. As I am someone who loves to cook whilst away on holiday, this was perfect for me. Dave and Sonia were the perfect hosts and the little finishing touches that they provide are the icing on the cake. I would have no hesitation to recommend a stay at Meadow View ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lodge was wonderful so relaxing no noise at all.

The cleanliness was spot on , loved the modern feel the boarding on the wall , the gold finishes, lights in the kitchen . The open log fire is lovely on a cold evening and warms the lodge up VERY well .so much to see nearby . Very easy to find sat nav postcode is to the front door . Perfect stay have recommended to friends already . Thank you

What a fabulous place to stay!

The property was absolutely fantastic and decorated to a high standard it had everything you would need including robes and slippers for the hot tub! The views were lovely and had the most peaceful atmosphere, a perfect place to relax and get away from everything a gorgeous place to stay. Will definitely be back in the future

Our holiday was just perfect.

Sonia and Dave are perfect hosts and made us feel so so welcome. The lodge is situated in an idyllic spot and I’m not joking when I say, the evenings were silent! The only noise we could hear (and it was a lovely noise!) was a family of owls. The clear nights in the hot tub were magical. The amount of stars, satellites and numerous shooting stars we saw was phenomenal. We have never known a night sky so alive with activity. The lodge itself was decorated to a high standard and the beds were super comfy. We had everything we needed and there were even board games and cards for the children to play with. All in all a fantastic holiday and we really didn’t want to leave! Oh, and I can’t forget the gorgeous lambs! As we approached their field they came bounding over to us for a morning scratch and chat. Just lovely. Thank you for a restful week.

A fabulous lodge in an amazing setting.

The lodge is equipped to an exceptionally high standard with everything you could want and more! The views of the night time sky from the hot tub were truly special. We have stayed in some wonderful places all over the UK but this lodge beats them all. David and Sonia are great hosts too leaving a lovely welcome pack and offering their help and advice if needed

We booked this place for our ‘mini-moon’ straight after our wedding and it was the best thing we ever did!

We absolutely loved it. I can’t even explain how lovely and helpful the owners Dave and Sonia were. They are so inviting and caring and that shows in every inch of the property. The care and attention to detail is unbelievable and the amount of thought and effort they put in to it is so noticeable. It was so clean and well looked after. Such a lovely area with walks straight from the property and walks a little drive away too. Would highly recommend Lake Vyrnwy. We also were so close to lots of little towns and villages so lots of eating out or takeaway options (not for delivery!), lots of places nearby to visit but also so lovely and peaceful to be in the property enjoying the views and the surrounding animals and the amazing hot tub. We cannot thank you enough for our lovely honeymoon and we really hope to return next year

A wonderful weekend spent at Meadow View.

Everything was just perfect, from a warm welcome and a superior Lodge in every way and most definitely the best we have ever stayed in. Already looking forward to our return visit in the summer.

A beautifully constructed lodge in a superb location.

The farm on which this property is located is hidden in a secluded valley, but close enough to Meifod and Welshpool for local shops and services. The owners are a helpful and pleasant couple. I would certainly book again if I want to stay in this part of the country. Easy access to Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Chester, Llangollen and Snowdonia

Meadow view is a beautiful lodge situated in a very peaceful setting with the loveliest hosts.

Everything in the lodge is of the highest standard and we loved lying in the hot tub watching the sun go down. Can’t wait to go back there

Sonia and David were absolutely amazing.

They were such a fantastic, friendly and super-welcoming couple. The stay here has been phenomenal. The cottage is absouletely stunning. It is very modern and designed beautifully. It is super cosy and includes a log fire, perfect for winter nights. The hot tub is regularly cleaned and very relaxing. There is a local town and beautiful lakes such as Lake Vyrnwy and Pistyll Rhaeadr - I highly recommend visiting them both! This is a place where we definitely would love to, and plan to come back to! Best cottage ever! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect gateway!

Excellent central heating as well as long. Burner which we were well kept supplied with logs. As unusual we lost our way, being confused with turn left by Chapel, which is now a private residence. By the it was dark and difficult to see. Satnav was not much help.

A delightful position, plenty of peace and quiet. The owners were very welcoming and on hand if there were any problems (which there weren't) but stayed away in the background. We appreciated the advice they gave on local walks, amenities etc. A minor suggestion - a larger duvet on the bed would avoid wrestling matches during the night! All in all - a splendid holiday. We have already recommended it to friends and family.

The accommodation was very comfortable with many luxurious touches, like a hot tub with Bluetooth! And the view with its tranquility and feeling of real isolation was bliss. Even the rain looked picturesque. We spent our days counting and naming cows across the valley. The owners were so welcoming and generous, but also respectful of our privacy. Lake Vyrnwy proved to be a pleasant day trip, as did Welshpool with the beautiful "Monty" canal and Derwyn outdoor garden centre.

Our trip to Meadow View was the best UK trip away we’ve ever had.

The setting was out of this world with gorgeous views and was so peaceful. The hosts were the friendliest we’ve known and were so accommodating with our 2yr old, letting him visit their farm animals and collect fresh eggs (although he was too scared too). The lodge itself was stunning and such high spec and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. We would 100% visit again and have already shared the link to several friends to encourage they book. Perfect peaceful stay for us all.

We had the most amazing stay at Meadow View in the stunning Welsh countryside.

The lodge is brand new and was pure luxury with all mod cons and furnished to a very high standard. The location was so peaceful and idyllic, alongside the owners farm. The owners were really helpful and friendly, nothing was a problem. More than enough room for our family of 4 including 2 older teenagers. The hot tub was a nice added touch to help the aching legs after a busy day in the Welsh countryside. Our family can’t recommend this lodge enough for a luxury relaxing break away from the world. All of us agreed it was our favourite UK family holiday and we have had at least one a year for the last 17 years, so that’s high praise indeed.
