We were met by the owners who were very helpful and friendly.

Lots of supplies left which was very handy e.g bread, milk,butter,tea,coffee and breakfast items. The lovely lady even gave us some potatoes as we had forgotten to pick some up in Oswestry and it was getting late. The outside was secure enough to let our dog run about too. A great base to explore the areas around there.

Very impressed with our stay, could not fault anything.

Lovely/homely feel inside the bungalow, very clean, not cluttered and has just the right amenities you'd want.

Perfect for our dogs the owners are exceptionally friendly and kind would highly recommend the cottage for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore northern wales from. Will be coming back!

Had everything we wanted. Liked it so much booked again for Christmas this year within 10 minutes of entering cottage. Railway pub very good food served.

Owners really go out of their way to make sure you have everything for your stay and that check in check out goes smoothly, they couldn’t have been more helpful ! Lovely welcome pack on arrival and this was really helpful as we arrived much later than planned ! A very friendly welcome and we appreciated the welcome pack provided.

It was a nice cosy place to relax and unwind. While we were there they were in the process of putting extra rails in the fence to make it secure for the dogs.

The cottage was very comfortable and clean.

It was spacious and a perfect setting for some time away with family. The addition of a welcome basket was particularly appreciated as it meant we didn't have to dash out to do shopping immediately on our arrival. The owners made us feel welcome and we had a restful and enjoyable stay.

Just had a good week at Awel Y Berwyn, the weather was a bit hit and miss but we still enjoyed our stay, the area is good for hill walking with walks right from the door.

The cottage is well laid out and ideal for a family holiday, it is warm, clean and comfortable with the owners nearby if needed. The nearby pub is handy and welcoming. We ate twice at the Railway pub in the next village and the food was good wholesome pub grub. Would certainly recommend this cottage and would go again

My only feedback would of been smaller fencing as felt my dogs could get out of garden if I turned away as on the road.

But other than that was amazing all the little extras from the host made it so easy we loved our stay the house and site was so tidy all grass immaculate just loved it , we will be back

Everything was perfect .It was genuinely a home away from home.We loved the starter pack of milk,bread ,tea, coffee,jam, marmalade and goodies for the Children.The house is perfect and very clean.They have a very well equipped kitchen with enough crockery , cutlery and utensils for cooking.The area itself is breathtaking surrounded by mountains .We took the dog out for different walks everyday.Thank you Ryan and Lucy.Ww will definitely be back again.

Absolutely amazing Bungalow.

Very clean and spacious. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent welcome pack provided. Owners have thought of everything . The views are amazing and some lovely walks. We had a lovely break and would definitely return.

Absolutely lovely bungalow, very spacious and comfortable it has everything you need and more with plenty of outside space, the owners really have considered everything.

Great welcome pack too. The views are seriously stunning with mountains all around and a view from every window. The weather was dry and sunny when we visited and sitting outside in the evening with the mountains surrounding us was perfect. Good pub, friendly people, we ate there twice, meals are great value. We had a great holiday with many interesting places to visit nearby.

Awel Y Berwyn is a fabulous cottage in an area of magnificent beauty.

The design of the cottage is open plan, yet still gives the feel of a comfortable, homely stay. The cottage has all the utilities one would need to live comfortably. It's really designed for a family of four, however I was on my own so I felt like lord of the manor! I would definitely book this cottage again. There is a pub that serves food just 50yrds away :-)

Very comfortable stay in this well equipped bungalow.

We had everything we needed. The views of the mountains from the property are stunning. The village has a pub within walking distance and lots of paths for dog walking. Llanfyllin is a pretty village with a well stocked Spar. Thank you / Diolch.

What a wonderful place to stay.

Perfectly clean, really comfortable beds and sofas and a kitchen that's even better than mine. Some really nice touches like bread and biscuits made it even more perfect. Will definitely be back.

This is an excellent relaxing cottage.

It had everything we needed and more, we felt very at home and really enjoyed our stay. The welcome pack was excellent and really helped us settle in on our first day. The cottage is within easy reach of Lake Vyrnwy, Bala, and the highest waterfall Pistyll Rhaeadr. We even went to the beach at Barmouth. I would definitely look at staying again and would highly recommend.

An outstanding stay!

We have thoroughly enjoyed being at the cottage for Christmas. The owners put up a Christmas tree, and everything has been thought of. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay.

We really enjoyed our weeks stay here.

Cottage was easy to find from directions provided. The accommodation was really clean and comfortable. Welcome pack was fabulous and exactly what we what we needed, with a few essentials to start us off and other nice treats. Ryan was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Little issue with gas that was quickly and easily sorted by him. Allowed us to arrive a bit earlier than the 4pm advertised. Fine walks from the door, and cottage gave good access to nearby places of interest. Weather was dull but due to the high standard of the accommodation and the peace and quiet of the area, we would definitely recommend and would love to return some time. Secure garden for our Border Collie (would be an issue for small dogs who could escape) and a lovely variety of birds in and around the garden.

Our stay at Awel Y Berwyn was perfect.

The property is clean and well looked after and provisions were supplied on our arrival - very thoughtful. It’s pet friendly and everything is catered for. This is a perfect destination to completely relax and chill with just a short drive to local amenities. We would definitely stay again.

It was very clean, and we appreciated the basket of goods. I highly recommend this place if you want to escape the busy lifestyle.

Nice quiet location.

Cottage was clean and tidy. Useful welcome pack . Clear instructions for the cottage and pack of things to do and visit. Would be useful to have a little flexibility for arrival times. Also a lot of emails were received most of which were useful but some contained repetitive information.

We had fantastic stay at Awel Y Berwyn.

The house was very clean and we were provided with the lovely basket of coffee, chocolates, milk and bread to start with. Note that there are no shops around , so we shopped next day in Bala town. Have lots of parking and stay was nearly perfect. The only reason for one notch less star is WiFi was very week and our mobile network (Vodafone) has no signal at all. So we found it bit difficult to plan the things as we can’t access internet properly. But the wifi in the accommodation works , but it’s very weak.

Had a great time in this property, it’s location is outstanding with instant access to mountain and riverside walks.

The only small negative is the outside area is not totally secure for small dogs but it would not put me off booking this property in the future.

We had a very comfortable stay.

It felt like a home away from home. The cottage had everything we needed. The hamper was a nice little touch especially as we didn't get a chance to pop by supermarket to pick up breakfast items. Perfect for anyone with mobility issues as all ground level and shower in bathroom which was perfect for my mum. I highly recommend staying here and would stay here again if visiting North Wales

A perfect location and my hosts Lucy and son Ryan were very warm and welcoming.

The bungalow was bright, airy and efficiently stocked with everything we needed. It was very comfortable and so my dog and I could really relax. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to return in the Spring.

Awel y Berwyn is the perfect place to relax.

It’s position is perfect for appreciation of this beautiful part of Wales. The property is scrupulously clean, well equipped and well maintained. We had a wonderful weeks holiday and will definitely return in the next few years. Thank you all.

We are just home after spending 6 nights at Awel y Berwyn.

We can not fault this cottage at all, everything that you may need is there. Most importantly the property is spotlessly clean from bedding, towels pots and pans. Nothing is to much trouble for owners Ryan and Lucy and the very generous welcome pack was lovely and a big hit with the children. We will certainly have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family and would return ourselves in the near future.

The bungalow is set on a caravan site near a road .Also all the bins for the site are under one of the bungalows windows where everyone uses them.

Scenery was amazing.

A lovely and ideal property for exploring Snowonia and surrounding areas.

Its feels like a home from home with everything you could possibly need supplied. On arrival you are welcomed with a lovely and comprehensive welcome pack and supplies to get you going. The kitchen area is well stocked, as is the rest of cottage if you want to travel light. It has a nice enclosed front garden which is ideal if you have a dog and/or want to sit outside to eat or relax in the sun. This is the ideal place if you want to get away from it all. There are lovely walks right outside the door and a nice little pub 2 mins walk away if you dont fancy cooking. Otherwise its about a 15 min drive to Bala for supermarkets and restaurants. The cottages location is ideal for exploring Snowdonia National Park or other areas like Barmouth to the south. We will definately be back.

We had a very enjoyable week at Awel Y Berwyn, it is well laid out, clean and comfortable and in a good location.

The owners, who live nearby, are friendly and helpful. The area has lots of places of interest and many a good walk. We would definitely stay here again.

A very pleasant property with all the equipment you need.

Welcome basket was ok, but half opened packs of biscuits and chocolates left by other occupants was not what we expected. There are 2 public houses in the village, with one closed for the foreseeable future, so very restricted if you want to eat out. There are no shops in the village, the nearest, a small corner shop and post office in the next village a few miles drive away. We just used the property as base to visit the surrounding amenities.

Absolutely superb cottage, local pub The New Inn served excellent food and an ideal location to explore the Berwen Mountain Range, and the rest of Wales, will definitely be returning.

The bungalow is lovely and we are definitely hoping to stay again very soon.

This was our fifth visit to Llangynog although we stayed elsewhere before as the bungalow wasn't an option then. The village is great. Very quiet and relaxing with riverside walks directly from the bungalow and the pub is good too. We haven't eaten there but the food looks good and the landlord and bar staff are very friendly. The bungalow was very warm, light and comfortable with wonderful views. The starter pack was really useful too, thank you. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom had lots of storage. We loved the ceiling! We didn't use the second, twin, bedroom but that looked lovely. The living room was large with windows on two sides and very comfy sofas and a good sized television. Wifi was excellent (you need that or you don't have a phone signal) and the kitchen had everything we needed with a huge cooker, large dining table and all the crockery, cooking dishes and utensils that we needed. The bathroom was great, very good powerful shower. We didn't use the dishwasher but the washing machine was good. Having two dogs it was easy to keep the place clean with no carpets to deal with. We would have definitely given it 5 stars other than that the garden, although enclosed, wasn't dog friendly for our little dogs as the fence has big gaps in it, so we had to put them on leads when they were out there. The road through the village isn't that busy but we weren't prepared to take the chance of them escaping. We knew that was going to be the case when we booked it because the photos show that and it wasn't a huge problem but a bit of chicken wire around the perimeter up to the third slat of the fences would sort that out perfectly. Loads of parking too, you could get three double decker buses in there so it was great for unloading when we arrived and loading when we were leaving!

This property is incredible!

Fantastic bungalow in a wonderful location with friendly, efficient hosts. All the necessities and some nice extras which included the best and most generous ‘welcome pack’ we have ever experienced. To top all this, imagine our surprise when finding the hosts had added some festive cheer, Xmas tree, decorations etc. “wow!” Thank you. This property was a great place for both us and our loving Bearded Collie and felt private enough for all of us. The property was secure, complete with an enclosed garden for our dog, very clean, spacious, cosy, and comfortable with nice linens. Great for taking peaceful walks in the morning (to work off some of that wine coming later in the day). It is peaceful and quiet in the mornings and evenings, so you have nothing but tranquillity. This place will make you will want to come back and cook/eat out because the setting and views are just outstanding. Overall, we had a very relaxing time and have booked for a return visit next March

One of the owners was there to greet us when we turned up, Gave us the keys and told us if there are any problems to just give him a ring.

On our last night the boiler had a fault (not an issue as we were going to bed at that point) advised when checking out so they could get it fixed and they said they’d have someone out the same day to look at that. Not many places seem to do that anymore. The owners give you your privacy so it really does feel like a much needed break from social media and just to re connect with your family. The places to walk around there are just incredible. The dogs had a blast running up the mountains and having stare off with the sheep.

Very comfortable accommodation with owners who went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their guests had everything they needed. Spotlessly clean accommodation, a very (VERY) generous welcome pack, everything anyone could wish for in a holiday cottage.
