“It was ok ,its on west side of site so we had some privacy on the filed side : The site is overcrowded around there ; just a sea of caravans , anyway the chalet had basic ammenities ,bathroom fittings were " tired " , but all worked ok , bedrooms tiny , sofa was small , uncomfortable , but shower was good ,,nice big towels , i think it needs a complete update , at 640 quid a week : its overpriced ,, I knew they hadnt got superfast broadband , neither had the site , so dont bother paying for site wifi .”

Thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, our chalet has a lovely position on the site, more out of the way and secluded with a lovely aspect and fields beside it. A lovely view from all windows. The chalet has in fact been recently refurbished (painted throughout) with brand new beds, flooring and furniture including the sofa. The bedrooms are small, but this is shown in the photos on the website. It is professionally cleaned between guest stays with new linen and towels. I am glad you had good weather, this makes such a difference! Yes, the wifi can be sketchy, that is something we may need to invest in. The bathroom has an excellent power shower and new flooring, but yes an update on this is something we can look at. Many thanks again for your feedback. Property Owner

“Clean, tidy and fresh feeling.”

Very well equipped kitchen, couldn't have been better. Comfy bed, comfy sofa, all in all we really enjoyed our time in the chalet. And we loved the view across to the fields with the sheep, and the lambs

“AS described, fairly compact as expected.”

A great base for the local area. Really enjoyed our holiday and hopefully will return Our only adverse comment would be the table is not big enough for 4, and chairs uncomfortable. Although there where trays that could be use for eating from. Being oldies, a hand rail would be nice for showering/getting in and out.

“We loved our stay and the property met our needs well.”

The only thing that lowered our comfort were the dining chairs and table which were small and uncomfortable. We wondered if non slotted chairs and a folding/extendable table would be good, especially if you had 4 people staying there (or in our case 2 people who wanted to play a board game).

“Lovely situation.”

Nice and warm in the property and Lovely hot water. Adequate dining table not very comfortable seating for relaxing at night. Equipment good in the kitchen,cooker works okay. Very comfortable double bed,nice clean laundry. Could do with a few more hooks behind doors,nowhere to hang anything wet.

Thank you very much for your lovely review. We have made quite a few changes to the chalet this year with a new sofa and chairs in the lounge and a big new tv on the wall! Dear Mr Gardner Thank you very much for your wonderful review. Yes, the chalet is in such a lovely position with a lovely view of the hills. For you info, we have now updated the furniture, including a brand new sofa and tub chairs, new beds and carpets as well as updated electrics which mean the bedrooms now have sockets with USB portals. We also have an installed a new tv on the wall making the chalet more spacious. We do hope you’ll visit again this year. Property Owner

“The chalet is sweet and could be made so much better.”

The furniture is all odd and could be arranged better and may be decluttered. The kitchen is tidy and has been tidied up. I took my air fryer and used that 99% of the time apart from the kettle, toaster and microwave. Lots of mugs but you need to pick through as some don’t look like they have been washed too well. The bathroom is great and the shower works perfectly. The main bedroom the bed is a small double and it is very soft and low. It has bedside cabinets which are add but does the job. There is a big built in wardrobe that has the Emerson tank and the main electric switch. Now, this is where I found a problem and also in the 2nd bedroom. There is no electrical sockets at all in the bedrooms. So no charging of phones or iwatches or even a bedside lamp. I like to read but the big ceiling light to read with isn’t very cosy and relaxing. The second bedroom, no sockets and this was a pain with kids and their iPads in the evenings. Again, no where to plug in night lights. I really think money needs to be spent to get sockets put into these rooms. The cleaning does seem to be done. However, the mop that was left should we need to use it or at the end of the stay I like to clean, well the mop was disgusting and I wouldn’t and didn’t use it. I have taken a picture but not sure I can upload it. The chalet cost over £600 for a week and I do think some money should be spent on the property to bring it up to more modern times with the use of devices. Now, WIFI !!!! This is provided by the caravan park and not the owners of the chalets. It is Meant to be 5g WiFi. The signal is really poor. You have to keep putting in the code as it drops out so easily. It cost over £8 for 7 days and you can only use one code per device. So we had 4 iPhones. 2 iPads and this was a real pain. The kids will play games on the iPad in the evening but like to FaceTime their friends and play and talk about the game and help each other. We had some rain so in the evenings when cooking etc having showers etc it was good for the kids to have their devices but I got fed up of the moaning about wifi. The site facilities wasn’t at all pleasing either. The restaurant/bar closed Sunday afternoon and didn’t open until Thursday. There was a swimming pool, that was meant to heated but I am unsure how it is heated as on the really sunny day we did have I was told it was very cold to get in. There isn’t a shop on site. So make sure if you are going in the evening like we did you take milk, bread etc. otherwise it is a drive to the nearest village to get to the co-op before it closed. We did have fun as we went out most days. But home from home it wasn’t. It could be really cosy and an ideal base for exploring. It just needs some work and if allowed I would get my own wifi installed and maybe a smart tv etc.

Dear Mrs Mason-day Thank you so much for your review which included lots of constructive advice as well as praise for our lovely chalet. We have taken on board all of your comments and are excited to let you know that we have made many improvements to our chalet this year! We have installed new electrics throughout including USB sockets in the bedrooms. We have all new furniture including all beds, sofa, tub chairs, matching bedside tables, lamps, a brand new wall-mounted smart tv and new carpets in the bedrooms. We have minimised the amount of furniture in the lounge and put in new ceiling lights. I think you will be impressed with the new photos when they come out. Wi-Fi is still quite a challenge, as you say, reception can be difficult in this hillside location. We are working on solutions to this. As you say, it is a lovely peaceful location with a lovely view of the hills. The pool is open from late May and I have received information from the site to suggest that it has been updated this spring and the heating should work. The adjacent restaurant at the top is lovely to visit, but yes it is open in peak season only and on certain days. Again, I thank you for your advice and hope that you will consider visiting the new and improved chalet! New photos coming soon! Property Owner
