    “Lovely and cosy cottage.”

Has a very warm and welcoming feeling. The hot tub is a very welcome addition, especially after a day of trekking and exploring the surrounding landscapes. Detailed instructions to the cottage, use of utilities and areas of interest to explore are well documented in the folder. The downsides we faced were very minor and did not in anyway dampen our holiday experience. I am sure the owner will make note and sort this out. She is very proactive and keeps in touch. No shampoo/bodywash starter packs and no electric charger in washrooms for electric shaver/toothbrush - despite being a premium listing. Some pots and pans need updating as the protective non stick coating is deficient in places. The main issue we faced was charging of our electric vehicle. Llanbedr has no charging facility. The one in the airfield is non functional, hence we had to charge our vehicle in Porthmadog. We found 2 fast chargers (50 KW) in the train station car park, which was very useful. The closest TESLA supercharger is in Aberystwyth. I will still give it a five star rating because it is conveniently located in a tranquil surrounding and the issues I have highlighted can easily be surmounted as long as you are aware of them.

Thank you for your feedback Winster. I am glad you had a good holiday and found my lodge welcoming. I always listen to feedback, it's important to me that my guests have their expectations met. I have not been providing shampoo/bodywash because I feel it's a personal choice and people bring the brand and products they like, however if anyone reading this would like bathroom products supplied, then when booking please add this as a request. I will check the pots and pans and get replacements where needed asap, thank you for making me aware of this. Re shaver/toothbrush charger/point, I will get one fitted, I agree it will be an asset. I hope one day I can host you again, when the above will have been remedied for you! Property Owner

About the location

LLANBEDR

Harlech 3 miles; Barmouth 8 miles.

The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles in ancient woodland between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline. Situated next to the beautiful River Artro, and boasting a mild climate due to its unusual positioning behind the high dunes of a nature reserve, this charming village has an exciting array of wildlife and birds, handy local shops, bike hire and mountain walks on your doorstep, as well as two excellent pubs. The small town of Harlech is just 3 miles away and boasts the World Heritage Site of Harlech Castle, a majestic 13th century stronghold, the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I. Popular with golfers due to its famous Royal St. David's course, Harlech also boasts an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants and the most magnificent six-mile long sandy beach, perfect for wonderful walks and family fun. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, providing breathtaking vistas, which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can catch a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway, or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. With the delights of Snowdonia National Park and beautiful Cardigan Bay to discover, this is a fantastic holiday location at any time of the year.
