We had the best stay here couldn’t fault anything, I have been here before around Christmas and knew we had to come back in summer and it was the best decision.

It will definitely be somewhere we come back to in future.

Just enjoyed a fabulous week at Barcud Coch.

The lodge was faultless - clean, well equipped, comfy beds and sofas, and plenty of seating etc for our family of 8. The hot tub and balcony were perfect for enjoying the most incredible views, and for doing plenty of bird watching. There's lots to do locally without having to travel too far - we visited Castell Dolforwyn, Montgomery Castle, Powis Castle (NT) and the towns of Welshpool and Newtown. Lots of nice walks directly from the lodge too. There are plenty of supermarkets within 10/15 mins drive which was handy. We had the best breakfast ever at the Greenhouse Cafe & Kitchen, and a gorgeous lunch at The Nags Head - would highly recommend them both. The lodges have the loveliest host family, and we would love to visit again. We are all missing those views already! Diolch

Absolutely perfect.

10/10 cleanliness, especially as they are dog friendly accommodation, we’d never have guessed dogs had previously been there. Facilities were great, hot tub was sparkling clean and hosts were so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Location was spot on. Beautiful views, easy to find and close enough to restaurants/ pubs/ shops. Our only wish would be that the curtains were either thicker or black out, as we were travelling with little ones at around 5am the rooms were filled with day light so struggled keeping them asleep but wouldn’t stop us visiting again as everything else was faultless. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Beautiful lodge in a stunning location.

We decided to ditch camping and visit Barcud Coch this year and wow what a place!

The views are stunning and it’s the most calming place. We visited with two families of 4 and it was so spacious and felt like home. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating and we noticed so many little things in the lodge that just make your stay that little bit more homely and comfortable. We all fell in love with the sheep and goats that surround the lodge. We can’t wait to come back and are already planning our next trip.

From the moment I saw this property I knew it was the one that I wanted to book to host a joint 40th and 70th birthday week for our family and we was not disappointed on any levels with the trip.

The lodge was stunning, waking up in a really comfortable bed to opening the curtains to stunning rolling hills takes some beating each morning. The facilties were equally as stunning (once we figured out the cooker and hob) and can not fault the cleanliness and availability of equipment for dining in. The lodge is located at the top of the hill, so prepare to get those steps in, but enjoy as much scenery as you can ❤️ 2 of the party staying with us had just been on a 6 week cruise/ tour of Singapore, New Zealand and Australia and described the Lodge as "the best place they've stayed at in their lives" which summed up all our feelings after the trip. We stayed at Barcud Coch a year ago and immediately booked it for this year.

It didn't disappoint a year later. The accommodation is perfect for our annual girly get together and the space is perfect for a large group. The views are amazing, place is lovely and just so calm and peaceful, what we all needed. We did an online shop with Tesco, although the driver got lost,then couldn't get up the hill to the cabin which wasn't an issue last year so make sure you put in Llifor Lodges as well as Barcud Coch if doing the same. Last year, the owner was great with recommendations for local places and this year it was like returning home for the weekend. One minor issue we had was the size of the 'bath towels' far too small so we used the hot tub larger towels instead, I would just recommend taking a spare towel if you prefer large bath sheets instead of a large hand towel. But other than that another perfect weekend with nothing to complain about.

This is an excellent property and our stay here was faultless.

Everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Super clean, well equipped with comfy beds and outstanding views. The accommodation is well named as the red kites showed up every day!! Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again soon.

What a place!

Breath taking the minute we walked in. Every detail of the lodge was perfect. Stunning decor and views. The beds were so comfy. The owners have invested so much time and money into this lodge and it shows. It’s worth every penny and more. We were obsessed with the decor this place is pure luxury. I will 100% come back again to stay. Beautiful bedding, soft towels and every thing else you need. If you want a luxury break with the most peaceful stunning views this is your place to stay. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sunrise and listening to the animals was unforgettable. We were a group of 8 women and all of us loved it here. Thank you for such a relaxing break.

Spent the weekend here 8 of us with our fur baby also… nice pub down the road the nags head would return.

A lovely property!

It is large with plenty of space and seating. The decking and views from the large hot tub are exceptional. The night sky is amazing We had an issue with one of the showers in the evening and someone was on site in less than 10 mins. The owners are very friendly and helpful 10/10.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful.

The property is in an idyllic location with the most fabulous views. The lodge was immaculate and you can tell love and attention to detail has been put into making this a first class place to spend time with family and friends. The owners were incredibly friendly and made us feel at ease. An absolute gem of a find. My friends and I had thoroughly wonderful weekend, one we will remember and I am sure we will talk about for years to come. Thank you

Lovely location and amazing views with great facilities and the hosts were friendly and helpful.

We had a problem With EV charger which was resolved quickly. Did a few local walks and the food at the Nags head was lovely. Breakfast at the Greenhouse cafe is also recommended

A truly fantastic place.

Travelled as 2 families (4 adults, 4 children). 4 bedrooms were set up as 2 doubles and 2 twins, all beds very comfy. One of the best places I have been in terms of the cutlery and crockery…whilst a minor thing, it had amble glasses, plates and cutlery along with plenty of plastic plates, bowls and cups for the children. The place is furnished beautifully, the views are amazing, the location is perfect. We spent a lot of time watching the wildlife along with days feeding the goats and also the horses in the adjacent field. Owners/hosts were amazing and were on call if needed. The place is worth every penny. Really well thought out, placed in a great location for exploring both sides of the border.

Magical Stay This stunning home was incredibly comfortable and had everything we could possibly need.

The jacuzzi was a fantastic touch, and the view—absolutely breathtaking. We truly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait for the chance to return.

This is the most amazing lodge with the most amazing views.

So peaceful and beautiful. Very tastefully furnished and decorated. Everything you need for a lovely stay. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable, recommended places to eat and visit. Nothing was too much trouble. Our whole family enjoyed our stay. The lodge is wonderful for a family group. The hot tub on the balcony is the icing on the cake for relaxing and family time. Watching the red kites flying around whilst chilling on the balcony. We will definitely be back!

Massive inside clean everything provided. Airy and so comfortable. Even hot b outdoor shower for hot tub and dog walking. Utility room. Just fabulous. The views were stunning and red kites flying past the elevated patio were a lovely touch. Don’t think the owners had any control over them though. We can’t wait to go back. Perfect weekend. Staying for longer next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful farm land with us.

Amazing property.

Photos don’t do it justice! High quality accommodation in a perfect beautiful location. Hosts super friendly and welcoming. Amazing to sit on the balcony each morning and see the Red Kites flying over. Great welcome pack provided with loads of ideas on things to do locally. A very relaxing holiday for all the family! Everything was perfect

Owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming and was there for anything you may need.

The lodge was amazing it had everything and more that you would need for a brilliant relaxing holiday, we spent a week here and the views are breathtaking. Would highly recommend and we will return.

We had a wonderful time at Barcud Coch - Red Kite.

The house was amazing. The views are stunning, the owners were attentive, polite and helpful, personally directing our grocery delivery up the hill themselves to ensure we got it. The facilities were fab and the house was perfect for us all (8 friends) to get together and celebrate. One thing that would have improved the stay was champagne / prosecco glasses but that is just us being picky and we're hoping to re book for next year!

This is a fabulous property in a beautiful part of the UK.

It is a fairly new property that has been set up to a high standard. The views are fantastic with plenty of wildlife to check out too. A wonderful family weekend together.

Wow just wow , totally as the photos show , stunning , peaceful , well equipped and amazing owners nothing is to much.

We stayed for Christmas as this place did not disappoint, so much room , clean and homely. Every detail has been covered , it felt private even though their was 2 other units , the hot tub was amazing and the multiple shower rooms was grate along with he stunning bath , internet was amazing. We will definitely visit again ,❤️

Cannot fault this lodge it is outstanding with everything you need, and of course the people running it are amazing!

Absolutely stunning place!

Spotlessly clean, everything you could possibly need. We had to contact the owner about the hot tub but we got a response straight away and he was there within half hour to sort the temperature. The beds were the best! The location is just beautiful, we will definitely be back! Thanks again x

We stayed at Barcud Coch for 3 nights, 7 Adults and we all had the best time.

The accommodation is perfect with the most amazing views, this accommodation has everything you need and more. We all loved the hot tub :-) The owners were so welcoming and checked in to make sure everything was OK, nothing was too much trouble. I will be going back again and would highly recommend.

Everything you could need for a weekend away, beautiful views, clean space. Check in at 4 and out at 10 would be lovely for an extra hour or so departure day to be able to enjoy the morning views. Amazing.

..absolutely amazing. We were expecting it to be good but it was another level. The owners should be so proud of what they have created, it's incredible. Beautiful decor, fabulous amount of space inside and out, comfortable fixtures, and the most amazing view. I cannot wait to go back.

It is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It easily accommodated three families celebrating my husband’s 60th Birthday. Do not hesitate, book this before everyone does!

Had a fantastic stay at Barcud Coch, property and view were amazing (and as advertised).

Facilities all great - parking, bedding, towels, toilet roll, handwash, washer / dryer, outdoor shower and hot tub. Lovely and friendly owner. Only regret is we weren’t staying longer!

Absolutely stunning house and property location, beds were so comfy and plenty of space for a family of 6 and 2 dogs.

Owners were very friendly and couldn't be more helpful if/ when we needed it. Only slight comment was that there wasn't enough cooking pans, only 1 frying pan but we totally managed. Would definitely recommended and would love to come back.

The lodge is situated in a beautiful quiet location with stunning views, yet it's still close to amenities and activities.

There are lovely walks nearby, as well as plenty of pubs offering great dining options. The lodge itself is very tastefully decorated and has everything you need with plenty of space for everyone to relax. To make it even better, it would be great to have separate towels/robes for the hot tub, netting over the garden fencing to prevent our dogs (Cockapoos) from escaping, and window/door screens to keep out flies from the nearby sheep. Despite these points, we would definitely consider rebooking. Many thanks to the owners for providing us with an amazing property - we had a fabulous holiday there.

Absolutely amazing lodge.

5*, hosts were brilliant and more than accommodating, the luxury and furnishings of barcud coch were first class. We were vey lucky with the weather but even without the atmosphere was impeccable and relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic- we have been up places before where the hot tube was not maintained and water became murky but not the case here, clear and usable until the last hour of our stay. Beds were extremely comfortable and access to the surrounding fields for walking the dogs was instantaneous. Fabulous location in easy reach of Newtown and Welshpool for food and fuel.

Absolutely amazing property in the most amazing scenic location.

Each room was beautifully decorated and beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were all beautiful and we couldn’t have been happier. The whole property was fantastic and we will be back! Suits adults, children and pets just perfect! We didn’t want to leave!

We loved our stay at Barcud Coch!

. The location is perfect, with a supermarket/ restaurants and tourist locations on the door step. The property was so bright and spacious, and easily accommodated the 7 adults in our party. The furnishings were all to a high standard, and i couldn't find a fault. The highlight was the view from the balcony, and all the wildlife/countryside all around us. It was just stunning!

We loved our stay in this fabulous lodge.

Perfect for our family celebration. The views are stunning from the deck, and the hot tub was a hit. Lovely bedrooms and a spacious lounge/dining room/ kitchen was enjoyed by all. Luxury appliances/ fittings and decor. Hope to return.

The family who own the lodge are absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful! The lodge is super modern, comfy, clean and spacious, and the views are incredible! Overall an 11 out of 10 from us, we cant wait to return again next year. Thankyou so much for having us!

The lodge was spectacular, the best we’ve stayed in by far.

The spacious open plan area for chilling & dining was wonderful, big but felt cosy at the same time. The view was amazing. All the bedrooms/beds were comfortable & large. It was all very clean & fully equipped. The owners were lovely & made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely return.

We had a fabulous time at Red Kite Lodge - we cannot think of anything else you would have needed to enjoy your stay, the Lodge was one of the best we have ever stayed in and the location and views are magnificent.

The icing on the cake was the hot tub which despite the rain at this time of year was still used every day. We met the owners who live nearby and they were very friendly and welcoming and gave us some recommendations on where to eat etc. and as we brought our bikes pointed out the local canal which has a bike path which is an excellent way to get around. I would have no hesitation in going back.
