Fawn’s Rest

Our New Year’s stay at Fawn’s Rest was absolutely wonderful.

The lodge exceeded all our expectations, offering a cosy atmosphere enhanced by excellent underfloor heating. The beds were comfortable, and we particularly appreciated the design of the hot tub; being recessed into the decking made it much safer and easier to access without navigating slippery steps. Having the children’s play area was a thoughtful touch that kept our little ones thoroughly entertained throughout the trip. We will certainly be returning.

Staff at the site are friendly and very helpful. A great place to recharge your batteries and take time away from the day to day stresses. Noting better than sitting in a hot tub watching the world go by. Claire and the Staff were amazing, just as they were 2yrs ago when I last had a holiday / break. Great place and would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an amazing stay for our mini moon!

Fawns rest was lovely, clean amd cozy. Ot had everything we needed. The hot tub was a welcoming addition after a couple of lovely walks. We were lucky with some gorgeous clear nights and had some great views of the stars etc. We will definitely be booking again, and highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful relaxing break away.

The accommodation was exactly as listed, located on a nice peaceful farm. Welcome basket was left upon our arrival which was a lovely touch! Milk in the fridge, marshmallows were left for the fire as well, so cute! Would highly recommend.

Fawns rest is a fantastic accommodation very cozy and everything you could need supplied also with a nice little wecome basket on a arrival fawns rest has a nice decked area which you can enjoy the use of the comfy egg chair in the mornings with a morning coffee enjoying your surroundings and scenic views then the use of the fire pit of an evening to cook on or toast marshmallows on then using the table and seating provided to eat at folled by an evening under the stars in the hot tub myself and my partner really enjoyed our time spent here we came in March then came bk in Aug we loved it so much and definitely plan to return lovely place to stay

Everything was straight forward the key was in the door waiting for us. Everything was nice and clean. Hot Tub was also nice and clean it’s got everything you need for a perfect couple weekend away. Definitely will return in the future

we were very pleased with our stay at Fawns Rest, the lodge was very well maintained and equipped, very clean and fresh, on arrival there was a welcoming hamper with local snacks and fresh milk in the fridge to greet us.

The hot tub had been prepared and was ready for use when we arrived. The owners were helpful when we were trying to find the lodge, giving directions at the end of the phone. This was a really great place to stay, we would highly recommend it and would most definitely return for another stay. Thanks again to the property owners.

The location is great and the lodge was really well presented.

All seemed clean. Good communication on the lead up to our stay. Nice little welcome pack left for us including milk. Plus wood for a fire if you wanted to use it, we didn’t. Only minor quibbles. There was a musty smell when you walked back into the lodge. Noticeable as you walked back in after being out all day. The hot tub on the lodge literature it stated that the pool had been refilled for our stay. Which is not the case. As we watched a member of staff going around on the morning we were leaving just adding more chemicals to them. Just needs to state this. The sofa wasn’t the most comfortable thing we have sat on. Got a numb bum. The WiFi again not a major deal breaker for us but was slow and went on and off. Not sure whether this should be stated so others know what to expect. However would go back. Perhaps a different lodge next time?

This was an amazing place to stay, it had everything you need and more.

The grounds are well maintained and the facilities are all in clean working order. The amenities that they supply are plentiful and the views are stunning, perfect for an evening in the hot tub looking at the stars with your partner. Highly recommended and totally worth it, will definitely be planning to come back here, hopefully soon!

We stayed in Fawn’s Rest in early April.

The location was beautifully placed in the countryside, which was fantastic at night when you could so easily watch the stars from the hot tub (it is a light-free area I believe). The drive there was also amazing, very quiet roads through the mid-Wales countryside. The town Rhayader is also amazing, the residents were all so friendly and there was a lovely warm feel to the place, very welcoming and we didn’t see anyone who wasn’t happy to say hi, with a big Tesco superstore about a ten minute drive away, also an Aldi and a few local shops. We enjoyed the walks which were a short drive away (mainly by Rhayader Falls) which were also very quiet and amazingly mountainous, although there were flatter walks if you fancied it. The hosts on the farm were spectacular and left us some goodies with things to do listed and other intriguing facts about Rhayader and the surrounding areas. We even bought some eggs from the chickens on the farm from a honesty payment box on the drive in (they were about a £1 for 6 which was absurdly cheap- the whole place just felt so honest). The cabin was great, perfectly sized for a couple and the little hanging chair on the porch was lovely to sit on in the morning and admire the views (and also the lambs and sheep which were running around the property). We will definitely be returning shortly as it was just a lovely getaway, and the friendliness of the locals just really made it feel special. The views and lambs helped too!

Had a wonderful weekend here, the cabin was immaculate and the hosts so friendly, beautiful views and plenty to do, would book here again and also recommend to our friends.

We had the most amazing & relaxing time on our mini vacation, in our beautiful cabin.

The hot tub was very clean & maintained daily, it was lovely to come back to after a day exploring Elan Valley which is very close by. We would highly recommend. Thank you for having us. Rich & Alex.

What a lovely stay we had, the pod had everything you need, from tea and coffee to a luxury welcome hamper!

Nice powerful hot shower, we had sheep as neighbours what more could you want?! Site is kept clean and tidy at all times! We will be back definitely! Thank you x

Loved this lodge.

It was so peaceful and had everything you needed. It was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was so nice to come back to after a day of exploring and was maintained every day. The site is well kept. And there are lots of different birds and wildlife to see. Lovely place.

We have just arrived home from a wonderful 4 nights stay at Fawns nest.

It was the most peaceful and relaxing stay. Myself, my husband and two children enjoyed our stay so much and would love to return. We had everything we needed and more. When we arrived we were left some milk, Welsh pancakes and marshmallows to toast on the fire which was a great touch. Everyone on site was friendly and the highlight for us was the hot tub. Thank you so much for a holiday to remember.

The hottub was maintained each morning of our stay, the place was loveley clean and cosey and the lodge had everything we needed for our comfortable stay

Location and cleanliness of the cabin was fantastic.

Bed was super comfy, and hot tub was maintained every day of our stay. There is a TV, which isn’t in the photos, so that was an added bonus. The only slight downside was we couldn’t access the WiFi once the cabin doors were shut, and it would have been good if there was a curtain put on the bedroom door to the outside to stop light coming in from dawn as we couldn’t have a lie in, but those were little things. Also loved the firepit and spent one night toasting marshmallows and star gazing which was perfect. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had an excellent 3 night stay at this delightful cabin.

The location was great and the cabin was very private. Hot tub was very clean and well kept. Will definitely be back and will recomment to friends and family.

We booked fawns rest because we wanted a peaceful, relaxing break; that's exactly what we got.

The location was perfect, the lodge had everything we needed. I absolutely loved sitting in the hot tub with red kites circling overhead and listening to the sheep bleating. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and in the evening, we lit the fire pit and toasted the marshmallows out of it. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.
