“Had an amazing stay.”

. The owners are really nice, helped us with directions when we got lost and helped us to start up the fire for the hot tub.. Honestly much much appreciated. The view around the cabin is gorgeous, honestly do not have a single bad thing about the place or the stay.

“Had a lovely weekend away at this Pod.”

It has everything you need and the scenery is stunning. Sarah and Peter were extremely helpful and even started the hot tub for us for when we arrived. I would highly recommend this place and would love to go back one day!

“Fabulous stay at Heron Pod last weekend for our 10 year wedding anniversary.”

The pod has everything you need. We cooked food in the pod and used the bbq so it was very well equipped. Sarah is fantastic. She is warm, helpful and always on the end of a text if we needed anything, even when we had a slight problem (on our end) she was so understanding. We would love to stay again!

“Honestly this is so hard to write as Heron Pod was perfect in every possible.”

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the lovely owners we new it was going to be incredible. The pod itself is a great size with everything you can possibly need included. The bed is a great size and extremely comfortable and the view out of the pod is beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing but then you get in the incredible hot tub it completes the whole experience. I would like to thank Sarah and Peter as they have so much pride in their pod and it truly shows as it was so clean on our arrival. They also are very caring as they offered to light the hot tub when were were out and always checked in to see how we were and it we were enjoying our holiday which we most certainly did. If you want to go somewhere that is tranquil and relaxing I can't think of many better places to stay

Absolutely loved the heron pod, was greeted by Sarah who is very lovely even prior to our arrival she sent me a message to find out roughly what time we was arriving so the hot tub was ready for us, always messaged to check in if there was anything we needed and also offered a tour, beautiful scenery of the farm would 100% recommend staying here

“We had an amazing time in the pod, had absolutley everything we could have expected.”

“Genuinely an amazing place and will not hesitate to return to Heron Pod.”

The only feedback I could possibly provide that was not gleamingly positive was that the mattress and pillows were less than comfortable. I will bring my own pillows if we return. Other than this, the location was idyllic, the property beautiful and clean and owners extremely helpful without being prying. I have already told friends to book!

“Quiet and secluded.”

Easy to find with directions given you by the Owners. Specifies on a working farm, but was still incredibly quiet during our stay, that we had no idea. If you're not used to a Wood fired hottub, ask the hosts to show you. This is one of the most heat efficient tubs I've used, and was still warm the next morning. Will definitely be back.

Trefonen is a rural village which stands between the ancient English border town of Oswestry and the Welsh village of Llanhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, home to Pistyll Rhaeadr, the UK’s highest single drop waterfall. This traditional village boasts a pub, shop and has Offa's Dyke pathway running through the village. It is located close to where the successful 1995 film “The Englishman Who Went up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain” was filmed. The whole area is surrounded by lovely countryside, which extends into the Berwyn Mountain Range - perfect for wonderful scenic walks and cycle trails, including along the Berwyn Ridge Pathway, the Offa’s Dyke Path and through the beautiful Tanat and Ceiriog Valleys.
