Description

Boasting beauty at its exterior and within its homely and stylish interior, The Lodge is a wonderful abode to base a coastal escape with friends or family.

Situated in Wroxham, known as the 'Capital of the Broads', this cottage is perfectly positioned for a family or group in pursuit of a countryside retreat, whilst also being in easy reach of the excitement of Norfolk's coast.

Make yourselves at home within the sitting area of the open-plan living space, where a plush corner sofa awaits you to snuggle up with your loved ones in front of the television for a relaxing film night, the woodburning stove taking centre stage in the room offering a welcoming warmth in the winter months.

Around the corner of the sitting are you can find both the kitchen and the dining area, so the whole party can gather around the table to keep the chef of the group company, rustling up a delicious meal in the contemporary-styled kitchen where its sleek white units boast a wonderful range of appliances, with plenty of room for little helpers too!

Also on the ground floor, you can find a convenient utility room housing the freezer and also a handy washing machine, sure to be of use after a busy day of sandcastle building at the beach, as well as the ground floor hosting two of the four immaculate bedrooms.

Take your pick from a ground-floor double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, wonderfully suited to those less able, or the ground-floor bunk room boasting its own en-suite shower room, something the little ones are sure to delight at, while up on the first floor you can find a further double room accompanied by a twin, with each room offering ample storage space for your personal belongings and homely spot to wind down in each evening.

Begin your day with a relaxing soak in the bath, before joining the rest of the group out in the garden where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast on the patio while your canine companions play happily on the lawn.

Wroxham is the perfect place to base a relaxing retreat, with all the amenities you could possibly need for a self-catered stay, here you can find a local shop to gather up some ingredients, as well as a selection of eateries and pubs to while away the hours in, while the village is most famed for its railway attractions including Barton House Railway, a miniature railway offering family-fun days out at various times of the year, while nearby Hoveton is home to the heritage railway of Bure Valley and Wroxham Miniature Worlds, the large indoor modelling attraction in the whole of the UK; a true haven for trainspotters.

Hoveton also boasts the award-winning forest fun of BeWILDerwood, offering outdoor adventure in the form of boat rides across the Scaaaaary Lake, slides down slippery slopes and much more to keep all ages entertained.

For a traditional day at the coast, visit Mundesley, here you can find a beautiful beach accompanied by its own maritime museum where you can learn of the rich history of the area before indulging in some delicious fish and chips, or choose to roam the beauty of the coast along the Norfolk Coast Path for breath-taking seascapes and nature like no other.

Those who enjoy the hustle and bustle of city living will enjoy venturing into Norwich, just over seven miles away, offering a host of attractions, such as its cathedral and castle museum, along with great shopping facilities and plenty of food and drink choices.

Surrounded by all kinds of excitement, The Lodge is the perfect place to call home whilst holidaying in Norfolk.
