    “The place was nice and clean.”

    Kitchen well-equipped. Two settees too low and awkward to get out of. Tv remote not fully working. Hot water on kitchen sink far too slow running. Took ages to fill a bowl. Extractor fan outer shutters in bathroom constantly banging all night when breezy. Noise from hot water system filling. (Water hammer) bedside light provided, but no socket to plug it in. Double be too large for room. Door opening less that halfway. Sounds nigley, but it spoils the holiday.

North Walsham 5 miles; Cromer 8 miles; Sheringham 14 miles; Norwich 20 miles.

The attractive, Norfolk coastal village of Mundesley offers pubs, convenience stores and an excellent coffee shop and bar, The Porthole, which is a café during the day and on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings it turns into a bar which offers a selection of cocktails. Elsewhere there is a popular golf course, a large park with play areas, a wonderful sandy beach with brightly coloured beach huts, and quaint cottages, many of which are built in local flint stone. The popular seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham, which is known as a stop for steam trains travelling on the Poppy Line Heritage Railway, are both close by. There are many other places of interest in the area, including the National Trust owned Sheringham Park, Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall, and East Ruston Gardens and Hoverton Hall are a must for gardeners. The Norfolk Broads are also within easy driving distance, where children can enjoy tree-house adventures at ‘Bewilderwood’, or alternatively hire a cruiser and spend the day exploring the waterways. The city of Norwich offers a cathedral, castle, museums, the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, various guided tours, excellent shopping and restaurants. Mundesley is an ideal base for exploring the whole of Norfolk.
