Description

Nestled in this rural location in Ruthin, Denbighshire discover this delightful timber-framed property, Lady Bagots Cabin.

Sitting next to the beautiful Clywedog riverside walk known as Lady Bagot’s Drive, rated as one of the top 50 walks in Britain, the cabin benefits from a secluded location with gravel driveway for ample parking.

Lady Bagots Cabin is pet-friendly accommodation, encased in the tranquil setting of the surrounding woodland and welcomes six guests and two four-legged friends to bask in the ultimate Welsh escape.

Upon entering the property, be impressed by a spacious open-plan living space, boasting exposed beams and high-quality furnishings for an inviting and homely feel.

In a well-equipped kitchen, find all the necessary appliances required to ease your self-catered stay, so you can prepare and enjoy meals as a family; during balmier evenings, why not venture outside to delight in an alfresco affair, or settle down at the dining table ready to toast to an unforgettable break.

Snuggle up on the sumptuous sofas in front of a roaring woodburning stove as you wind down for the evening, ready to indulge a movie marathon via the Smart TV with Netflix; if you prefer to admire your stunning surroundings a little longer, indulge a soak in the bubbling hot tub and watch as the stars appear overhead.

Retreat indoors to a sleek bathroom to wash away the day and complete your evening routine, ahead of choosing from three delicately-appointed bedrooms to catch your sleep in; a king-size with its very own en-suite with freestanding bath, a double and a twin (zip/link, can be super-king-size on request) all await for you to drift off into a night’s refreshing embrace.

Located at the entrance of this private-to-guests 13-acre woodland, this is an ideal space for dog walking and discovering the woodland glades beside the two meandering rivers and waterfalls within.

The cabin is surrounded by a variety of native and coniferous trees creating a perfect escape from the rigours of everyday life.

Guests will have the pleasure of watching lambs in the springtime in adjacent meadows and discovering the abundance of wildlife including dormice, birds of prey and badgers.

If you can tear yourself away, begin your day with a stroll into the centre of Ruthin, ready to explore Nantclwyd y Dre Historic House and Gardens, Ruthin Gaol or the Ruthin Craft Centre, before treating your loved ones to a hearty meal and cold beverage at one of several inviting pubs or restaurants.

In the immediate area are the Clwydian Way walk (of which Lady Bagot's Drive is part of) and Offa's Dyke walk along the Clwydian Range to take in the stunning summits of Moel Famau, Fenlli and Arthur with their Iron age settlements, hill-top fortresses and ancient beacons waiting to be discovered.

Further afield in the market town of Denbigh, discover the magnificent Denbigh Castle which showcases stunning vistas over the rolling countryside, as well as the Cae Dai 50s Museum which boasts private collections including Showbiz, Crime, Sport and Classic Cars.

A short car journey to North Wales’ leading and renowned coastal and inland attractions including Rhyl’s SC2, Llangollen's visitor attractions, Llandudno, Betws Y Coed, Bodnant Gardens, Zip World and Surf Snowdonia.

Among several mountain biking facilities in the area, there is the fantastic One Planet Mountain Bike centre in Llandegla only a short drive away and caters for all abilities.

The beautiful city of Chester and racecourse is 28 miles drive.

A wonderfully relaxing holiday.

Richard, the host, could not have been more helpful and friendly. (Jaine was away, but I am sure she is just as lovely)

WAW!

What a beautiful place to stay! If you want to escape life and switch off, this is the place! We had a wonderful week with family and our dog. The owners Jaine and Richard are amazing hosts and made our holiday perfect, nothing was too much trouble for them. They really made our holiday, thank you. There are lovely walks, great pubs - our favourite was The Brookhouse Mill, great food and dog friendly (10 mins drive away), Denbigh has supermarkets and a lovely park for dogs to have a run. So if you want to escape life and recharge your batteries, scroll no further and book it!
