What guests are saying
The highlight has to be the comfy sofas and the gas cooking range.
Everything apart from that can be faulted. This property does not provide basics such as tea and coffee which is the first such encounter I have had. No cleaning equipment/supplies were provided so for 6 guests staying 4 nights we were expected to arrange our own supplies including toilet rolls. There is only one bin in the kitchen in the entire property. No bins in the bedrooms or the toilets. The mattresses were not comfortable resulting in pains the next morning, ruining the whole trip. Sockets in the bedrooms were really high up. The water supply to the dishwasher was turned off which had to be fixed. Overall the property was not in the cleanest state as there were pet/human hair all over along with cobwebs. The toilet door does not lock. Directions to the property were incorrect. The lodge isn’t actually called the chalet at Tyn Lon, its called evansway lodge. The radiators didn’t work. Towels were extremely old and could definitely do with being replaced. I would not recommend this property and would definitely not book again.
Worst holiday of my life.
No hot water, no gas, light fitting hanging out of ceiling, no shelves in dishwasher, tv in bedroom not working, tv in living room no aerial or electric cable. Shocking.
I think we were the second guests in the new chalet and we found that the internet had not been installed in the chalet yet; we mentioned this to the owners and they apologized and said there has been a delay getting the service activated.
They connected us to the house broadband and we were good to go. There was a modern electric fire which was missing its decorative stones; we recommend putting some in as it looks a bit bare without them. The chalet was in a lovely tranquil spot and we slept really well. We found that there were two additional bedrooms and we would love to grandchildren next time as there was plenty of space inside and out. Our dogs also seemed to enjoy the numerous walks in the area. Had a great time apart from some very Welsh weather, but we did not allow that to dampen our spirits.
