The accommodation was wonderful, exactly as described, everything you needed was provided,there was a lovely tray with a good selection of breakfast items also tea, coffee, bread, milk and butter, pam rang us before we arrived to ask what type of bread and milk we would like, and then she txt us on the morning we left to wish us a safe journey.

I had a lovely week down on the Wirral staying at Meols Holiday Lodge.

The accommodation was perfect and in a quiet peaceful location. The owners, Pam and Bob , were very attentive and the accommodation was top notch. The Wirral is a great place to visit.

A lovely, secluded, well-equipped lodge with a good sized, private garden and a verandah to sit out on, all in a peaceful setting close to the sea.

Lots of walks and places to explore in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.

After our first visit we had to book and returned a month later to enjoy the quiet and peaceful atmosphere that the lodge offered.

The veranda was christened by us as the Dog and Duck as it was a perfect place at the end of a day riding the train and walking to enjoy a glass or two of wine and watch the day fade into the evening. We can definitely recommend the lodge if you looking to recharge your batteries and just enjoy the quiet times. It is also a great place to use as a base to explore the Wirral

Meols Holiday Lodge is a true retreat. It was sparklingly clean when we arrived, meaning we could settle in and relax immediately. Everything has been thought of by the owners including a very informative local guide folder with coastal walks, local train maps and ideas for days out and places to eat. It is tranquil, stylish, comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful garden, the best bed we've ever slept on and a very dark, quiet bedroom for incredible sleep. The open plan living room and kitchen is lovely for unwinding with a good film on a decent sized TV. Internet works perfectly too. The owners are friendly, kind, thoughtful people who made us feel really welcome and introduced us to their two gorgeous horses, they even brought some garden toys over for our 2 year old grandson as we'd come to this location to visit him and our Son and Daughter in Law. He was amazed by the horses. There was a lovely cafe called Maria's on the residential lodge park virtually in the shed field next which we all enjoyed too. It was a magical holiday and we look forward to returning. I'd originally found the property on Booking.com it is hard to find on the Sykes site which is a shame as I feel this tranquil retreat would benefit a lot of people. Maybe Sykes needs a Wirral/Merseyside section? Thankyou so much Pam and Bob.

Ideal location for exploring the Wirral and just a bus ride away from Liverpool.

Accommodation in terms of cleanliness was excellent, welcome pack - the best we have ever received. We had a power cut at 10.30 pm due to high winds, however, a call to the owners was greeted by an immediate response with extra torches and hot water supplied, and contact made with the power company all duly resolved. Being constructive I would say that the shower water pressure was quite low, also not keen on the chair provided alongside the sofa, would have preferred a more comfortable matching single arm chair. But overall a positive visit, credit to the owners they are doing it right.

Owners take a real pride in their property and genuinely care about guests. Secluded, but well located for exploring the Wirral and accessing public transport to Liverpool.

Second time in fourteen months staying at Meols Holiday Lodge.

Just like the first time well worth travelling the 12,000 miles from New Zealand for. Location is very handy to public transport and local shops and cafes but at the same time very quiet and peaceful and out of the way just enough to feel relaxed and safe but not too far if you wanted to go to Liverpool or the local areas. The accommodation has secure off street parking, lovely deck and garden area. Extremely well equipped e.g full oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge etc. Very clean and and has been decorated with a balance of practicality and comfort and aesthetically pleasing . The bed can be split into two single ones on request to accommodate different travellers needs too It has a extremely restorative feel to the place and area around it. Lovely views out of all the widows. Most of all though was the warm and genuine welcome and support from the owners Pam and Bob. From the welcome package of bread eggs and complimentary tea, coffee jam etc to seeing Pam again like she was part of my family and to meet Bob who very quickly and efficiently came fix the door lock when I had trouble with it. The owners have a balance of ensuring that your stay is enjoyable and comfortable and but also being mindful of your own space and privacy too. Great communication with them from start to finish. Used a previous booking Website last time I stayed but found that Sykes one was much better and easier to follow and use. They sent e-mail reminders and clear steps to help with the process of booking, checking in and out. As the Meols Holiday Lodge is quite a unique and special place I would advise anyone to book early. I could see by the visitors book in the lodge that there are guests who return regularly. I can't blame them as I am now one of them too.

This was our 4th visit to the Lodge and it was as good as ever.

Everything we needed plus a lovely bottle of home made Damson Gin awaiting us on arrival! Pam and Bob are so friendly and we will return again for another week in 2026.

Lovely clean, modern lodge in a beautiful area of the Wirral.

Very near sandy beach. Great walking all around coast. Excellent public transport system. Great communication with owners. Thank you for goodies - lovely bread from local bakery.

Lovely secluded lodge with private garden and deck seating place.

Everything you need and you only have to contact the helpful owners if anything does come up. Wonderful quiet location, short 12min walk to shops and station. Cheaper fares here than Berkshire where I live.

Near to Liverpool, really cheap train & bus fares here. Amazing windswept beaches, and New Brighton has everything in a resort but good sized, not too big. Wirral coastline so wild & free. Ashton Park in West Kirby is a perfect Edwardian park - lush & green

This was our second stay at Meols holiday lodge, and was just as lovely as the first time we stayed last year.

Property is very clean and well maintained, and is in perfect location, as it is peaceful and rural, yet, 3 minutes drive to train station, and a short walk or drive to local beaches and shops. Cannot fault, and would highly recommend. We will definitely be back next time we are visiting this area. Thank you to the owners for providing us with a really enjoyable stay.

Everything was perfect again,Helpful infornation from hostess Pam once again.The owners are on hand if you require any info or help but are also inobtrusive.Best area in the uk for different things to do and places to go.Train service is exceptional. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and area. John

The holiday accommodation is excellent, well equipped and very clean.

The hosts are always on hand and welcoming. We have visited twice and both times found a beautiful calm relaxing space to stay.

Fantastic accommodation,very clean,quiet and everything we needed.

Excellent welcome pack and received text we could access 2 hours early.Location is the best we have had in years.So many places to visit in the area with good transport links.Free parking all day in New Brighton,Metro to Liverpool,bus to West Kirkby.Level walks on coastal path and short trip to Port Sunlight village.Enjoyed it so much that we booked a return stay the night we got back home.

A lovely comfortable lodge in a peaceful location close to the sea and surrounded by horses.

Spacious outside area and very comfortable deckchairs and plenty of parking. The owner was extremely helpful and there was a generous basket of essentials which was very helpful and much appreciated. We highly recommend this gem.

The holiday lodge is a glorious space to spend time - small but perfectly equipped and with everything working beautifully, and everything you need present.

The bed is like a cloud - so comfortable! Extremely quiet and peaceful at night. Gorgeous little garden for sitting outside. Very close to lovely walks such as to Leastowe lighthouse. Pam and Bob were the kindest and most wonderful hosts, very responsive and they absolutely saved me when I rather stupidly lost the key while out running (I should have used the lock box!) HIGHLY recommend this stay.

What a fantastic stay!

As anxious travellers the amount of information provided beforehand was so helpful and made the journey much easier. The owners even checked in with us about when we would arrive so that there would be a light on. On arrival we found a generous welcome pack with bread, milk, cereal, eggs, everything! The property is clean and well maintained, equipped with everything you could need and lots of thoughtful touches. The location was great for trips to Liverpool, with a short drive or 20 minute walk to the station, where there are regular trains to the city. Around the property is a lovely mix of rural, coastal and small-town walks and facilities. We're so pleased we decided to stay here, and the value for money was excellent.

Our third stay and always absolutely ideal for us.

Meols holiday lodge was a perfect place to relax and unwind.

We stayed for one week in late October and found the lodge comfortable, clean and well equipped with new furniture and a super comfy super king size bed. Our hosts, Pam and Bob were welcoming and friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay the best experience. The lodge is located a short walk from the Wirral coastal route which offers good, scenic walking. Meols train station is a 20 minute walk from the lodge and makes accessing Liverpool, Chester and other areas really easy. Train fares are really good value also with a day return to Liverpool costing £5.40 making it an easier and cheaper option than driving. There’s a very nice cafe, Maria’s, a short walk from the lodge and a pub and Chinese takeaway near the train station. There’s very good shopping and dining options available in Liverpool and Ellesmere Port if you’re venturing further afield and also a visit to Port Sunlight is a must. We would gladly return for another stay and can recommend.

A quite peaceful lodge, well appointed modern and clean.

Easy access to Liverpool by rail from the station five minutes away. Easy walking to the beach and local shops. We are already considering returning for a second visit.

We stayed at meols for a week and we had an amazing time!

This lodge is so comfortable and cosy. It has everything you could wish for. We were left a nice little breakfast package and a gorgeous homemade loaf. The weather wasn't amazing whilst we were there but the under cover seating area was so handy! The heating was really effective and we weren't cold. You are just 1/2 hour from chester/liverpool and the train is so handy and cheap. The setting is lovely and peaceful.

Good base to access places to visit by car. There are good walks and bike rides in the area. A generous welcome pack and a helpful owner.

Our third stay!

Always a warm welcome from Pam and the breakfast goodies are always welcome - especially the fresh eggs. The lodge is wonderful. It has everything you need, spotlessly clean and so peaceful. All you can really hear are the birds (and its a bird watchers paradise). The part covered deck is great and we're really missing it! You can sit out even when its raining (we've been really lucky to always have sunshine on our visits). There's a great cycle path along the cost to West Kirby in one direction and New Brighton in the other and its only a three minute cycle on quiet roads to get there. If you do get bad weather there's a train station a few minutes away with regular trains into Liverpool. We'll certainly be back for a fourth visit :)

We found Meols Lodge very comfortable and well equipped.

It's situated down a quiet lane and feels secluded without being remote. We received a very friendly welcome and generous breakfast supplies. A twenty minute walk takes you out towards the coastal paths or nto Meols and the railway station. Trains were modern and frequent (we found travel much cheaper than in our area - Greater Manchester). We didn't have great weather but enjoyed visiting West Kirby, Port Sunlight and Ness Gardens (by car). We would recommend the Lodge and would stay again if we re-visit the area. Despite the wet weather we enjoyed sitting on the covered decking overlooking the garden.

Lovely peaceful accommodation with everything we needed.

It's a comfortable & clean place to stay with a short walk/drive to local facilities. We did the 15/20 minute walk to the railway station (or it's a short drive, with free parking) and used the train to go directly into Liverpool. It's also a short walk to the coastal path. We also visited Port Sunlight. But it was lovely to come back to Meols Lodge to enjoy the peace and sit on the decking, weather permitting. Great communication from host. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again, if in the area.

I shared this property with my daughter for part of the time, and it worked very well for us.

Lovely and quiet, lots of birds. Layout worked very well for me as I have mobility issues, although the beds were a little bit high! My daughter also thought it was a great place to stay.

we looked for somewhere local to stay as we were having our bathroom replaced,we needed somewhere on one floor as my wife has difficulty climbing stair,meols holiday lodge was ideal,it is in a very secluded spot with only a few horses as neighbours,the lodge itself was ideal,it contained all we needed and everything was spotless we could not have chosen a better place to stay

Lovely and clean, comfortable, good access to the property. Best of all, it was so peaceful. Sitting outside, listening to the birds, was wonderful as well as seeing the horses every day. Heartily recommend it.

What a wonderful, relaxing stay.

Tastefully decorated and cosy. Pam and Bob have thought of everything. The continental breakfast, milk and prosecco were a lovely touch. Really recommend Maria's cafe, just down the lane for breakfast.

Just incredible. Everything you could possibly need. So peaceful. Lots of things to do not to far away but still perfect if you just want a romantic quiet getaway. Would highly recommend and we would definitely like to return.

The lodge is Perfect. The attention to detail is beyond Luxury. The complimentary fresh bread, butter, eggs and milk, plus the basket of biscuits, jams, teas and coffees was a welcome addition. Sitting outside listening to the birds, horses and wildlife with a glass of wine in the evening was our idea of bliss. Thank you both, we will be back again xx

We had such a wonderful stay that we’re booking another week!

Pam and Brian are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Normally when we go self-catering there’s something missing but the lodge was spot on. Hubby loved Duncan the donkey! Its so secluded all you hear are the birds and the silence – bliss. I’d recommend bikes if you have them as there are lots of cycle routes including the one all along the seafront. We loved the covered decking as, even if it was raining, we could sit out and read. There’s a train station so getting into Liverpool is quick and easy. The beach at West Kirby was lovely and there’s a walkway with the sea at each side was fab. The Railway pub in Meols does really a good breakfast and Sunday roast and is minutes away. The Lodge is an absolute hiiden gem! Absolutely recommend :)

Another amazing stay at the Meols Holiday Lodge.

This is the perfect place to relax and unwind, it’s surrounded by fields and horses and is so peaceful. The lodge is spotlessly clean and only 20 mins drive from Liverpool and 30 mins to Chester. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in nearby Hoylake, West Kirby and New Brighton as well. Pam and Bob are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them and they kindly leave plenty of bits for breakfast and are always on hand for any advice about the local area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an idyllic stay away from the hustle bustle.

We will find it hard to better such a lovely lodge with all the facilities etc.

An exceptional newly converted lodge.

Really perfect, with the most comfortable huge bed. In a delightful peaceful setting, but with easy access to Liverpool, Chester.etc. Pamela and Bob really have thought of everything.
