Tal Sarn Shepherd Hut

Perfect week to stay here with everything we needed and more.

Very helpful owners and generous welcome pack.

A lovely short stay, hut was comfortable, the hospitality tray was superb, very peaceful.

No TV or WIFI in hut, but loads of lovely places to visit. Great paddock for dogs to run around safely. Loved watching the goats, sheep and horses.

We had a lovely peaceful few days away here in the shepherds hut.

The hut is very well equipped and the host left us an amazing little welcome pack full of local produce. The farm animals are right outside the hut and it's lovely to see them each morning. Our dogs enjoyed the safety of the paddock to run in. It is a working farm so it does first appear a little rough round the edges but get past the aesthetics and it's a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Very close to Newborough Forest and Beaches, so an excellent base to explore that side of Anglesey.

Everything about our stay was spot on for us, the hut felt lush with wood interior, everything at hand to whip up tasty meal, the easy functioning shower wet room, large luxurious bath sheets, small but very comfortable mattresses and the cosiness of this place.

Everything top quality. The dog friendly, spacious enclosed paddock around the hut is for sole use with bbq and another hut to enter and chill out in. Hubby loved the fact we could park our car so near & in view. For those into walking we had three great days out without having to take the car which resulted in us spending £0 for that half of the week (we’ve never achieved that before on hols). The scenic (but not quickest) way to reach Newborough is via the stepping stone footpath, thus avoiding unpaved road. We also caught nearby bus to Menai Straits and returned to farm walking coastal path. You really do not need a television, everything happens outside the hut windows… goats, horses, sheep… The owner is a remarkable lady and it was pure privilege & delight to observe up close the daily routine & workings of this unique alternative kind of farm. WOW! Five Stars simply isn’t enough. Thank you for the goodies and all.

First class accommodation, great views, peaceful, perfect for a firework stressed dog, lots of walks, beaches and woodland a short drive away, great welcome hamper.

Nice enclosed area for dog. Even though we had a couple of stormy nights the hut was cosy, never had to use the heater. Friendly and welcoming owners. Would highly recommend for a get away from it all holiday

A beautiful place to stay.

Love the Shepherds Hut, could happily live there. Great to get away from TV and WiFi. Beautifully crafted and was spotless on arrival. A gorgeous hamper was kindly provided. We caught up on chatting, reading and doing the Times Crosswords Great location, within an easy drive to beautiful bays and beaches, dunes and forest walks, our dog was in Heaven!! Can't really give enough praise!! Looking forward to returning at the earliest opportunity. Go see for yourselves. Thank you Jaris and Hayley. Dave, Helen and Mac.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherd's hut.

It had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Very relaxing to be surrounded by nature. Hope to visit again next year.

Lovely and peaceful.

Big area for our dogs to roam. Goats,sheep,chickens and horses to look at. Lovely hamper.

Every thing was wonderful our dog had a secure plot to run around and entertain herself.

Loved the peace and quiet The only thing which would make it better would be a bench or a couple of garden chairs on the outside raised decking. Would definitely book again.

Super relaxing shepards hut location in the grounds of the host, lovely view of the mountains and nearby fields set in a rural location with no other holiday accommodation on the premises so it’s peaceful and private.

Lovely, as described, everything was great 10/10 Everything was included even a welcome hamper filled with goodies, watching the animals was very peaceful, my dogs were completely safe in the paddock it was dog safe.

I would recommend this holiday to anyone.

Absolutely loved our stay here.

It was great for the dogs and ourselves to get away. The actual hut was cozy and had everything we needed. It is located in the enclosed paddock area so our dogs could come and go as they pleased. The welcome pack was amazing and full of lots of lovely local treats. The hosts were amazing and helped us with anything we needed. A great place to stay.

Really fantastic place to stay in Anglesey.

On a therapy farm with horses goats sheep lambs and chickens outside the door. Everything we needed in the hut, comfy beds and a welcome hamper too. A safe and secure area for our rescue dog to run safely. The site is modern and spotlessly clean. 27 degrees, sunshine and beautiful beaches a short drive away. Would book another stay without hesitation.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

5 nights with my spaniel and it was the ideal comfortable set up. Such a well equipped shepherds hut with an enclosed paddock for puppy. Super friendly owner and I adore that this working farm is supporting their local community with various activities. Location is also a bonus; 5 minutes from the beach and forest, all the other gorgeous Anglesey sites whilst also in striking distance of Aber Falls. Do recommend a stroll by Menai bridge down to Dylan’s bakery!

Beautiful lodge on a beautiful farm, thank you so much to the lovely hosts.

We were welcomed warmly, with a hamper filled with goodies, and also received some fresh eggs from the chickens that went down for a treat. The beds were very comfortable, very clean and the perfect size for two. The handbook was fantastic with recommendations for places to visit, I would recommend Newborough forest nature hike, you enter a beautiful sandy beach and have lots of history and scenic views on the cliff. It was the perfect break and a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend. 5 star!

The shepherds hut is located in a peaceful private area with views over the farmland to the mainland.

A few chickens and horses were in the neighbouring field. The hut was nice and clean and a lovely welcome pack of local produce was left. The information folder was very useful. It contained information about beaches, walks and eating places. The weather was great when I was there. The only thing that I would have liked would have been a comfy chair on the patio area of the hut.

A stunning location and cosy hut with loads of room for the dogs to play it is a perfect place for a holiday with dogs.

The Shepherds hut was very comfy and included a lovely welcome pack and one for our little Yorkshire terrier .We didn’t have any children but would highly recommend if you have a child to see the animals there.Not to be missed.

Shepherds hut was a perfect little getaway.

It had its own enclosure for the dog and was facing spectacular views across the straits to Snowdonia. It had everything you needed when we got there and was greeted with a gorgeous welcome pack which included milk bread welsh cakes shortbread and a few other treats for us and the dog. We also got given fresh eggs. Newborough forest was a couple of minutes drive away and it took about 45 minutes to walk down a straight scenic path to the beach. Rhosneigr was a 20 minutes drive with a few really good restaurants especially the Sandy Mount hotel.

Your doggie supplies were unexpected and very kind. The views from the terrace are quite breathtaking. The position is so close to the wonderful beaches that Anglesey has to offer. The shepherds hut had everything we could have possibly needed and your wonderful goodie box was a joy. We both felt warm safe and snug. The bathroom is clean and had everything we needed. Definitely would return for a 2 days stay.

I would just like to say the stay was amazing.

I wasn’t expecting there to be a box full of treats to eat which was a very nice surprise. It was very easy to find with the instructions you provided and the views were amazing. If we ever come back to wales I will be sure to book with you again. Would 100% recommend to anyone bringing a dog. The fence is secure and very spacious for them to run about in

We had never stayed in a Shepherds hut before and Tal Sarn exceeded all our expectations , absolutely brilliant , the hit had everything we needed with lovely views and great for the dogs with an enclosed paddock Lovely accommodation and lovely people - thank you

Has everything you need in a perfect location for dogs and close to the beach.

Lovely welcoming basket of goodies for us and the dogs. My only constructive feedback would be to have some garden furniture to take advantage of the evening sun as the decking is in the shade in the evening. Otherwise absolutely perfect would definitely re visit.

An amazing shepherds hut,all brand new.

A great sized living space/bedroom/bathroom. All fully equipped for your stay. A great outside area for the dogs. A fabulous welcome basket for the humans and treats for the dogs,a lovely touch. Dogs even had beds and bowls provided. Host was accommodating,on hand if needed. It was lovely to see the animals,on the farm,from the panoramic windows; also the spectacular view of the mountains in the distance.
